If you're in the mood for good food, you should definitely eat the food in the store. The takeaway kebabs consist mostly of salad and a little sauce. Meat is rather scarce. And for €8, that's quite a feat.

Yes, the food is very tasty and the portions are generous. The great thing is that you can see the preparation in the open kitchen. I think the only disadvantage is cans and bottles of drinks

Dear Mangal Grill Restaurant Team, I was in your restaurant on Cloppenburger Strasse today with two friends. Unfortunately our visit was very disappointing. We ordered a grill plate for three people, but the food not only took a long time, but was also disappointing in terms of taste. Most of the meat was dry or tough, some pieces almost inedible. So we only ate about half of it - the rest was left over because it was cold and just didn't taste good. We also had three cokes and two water - I ended up paying a total of €103. For this quality and this service, this price is absolutely not justified. I was honestly shocked at the amount of the bill. A truly first-class Turkish restaurant with a very modern yet lovely ambience both indoors and outdoors. This is how you imagine a real Turkish restaurant. Flatbread is baked in a clay oven. All meat is freshly prepared on the charcoal grill. And the kebab meat is cut completely differently on the skewer and therefore has a completely different taste than in run-of-the-mill kebab shops. As a starter there was lentil soup with lemon. Never had such a delicious lentil soup. The second starter was a cheese pide with several dips. In addition to hot and mild dips, I liked the yoghurt-aubergine cream the most. The main course was kofta, one with grilled chicken and the other with lamb cutlets including rice. There was also a salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, walnuts and pomegranate seeds And I would eat this again and again. For dessert there was rice pudding which was lightly baked after cooking. All dishes are prepared with love and therefore make the food very tasty. After consultation with the owner, everything is made in-house and the aubergines for the cream are also baked in the oven for a few minutes, giving them their slightly smoky taste. We thanked them for the delicious food and promised to come back as often as possible. I can only recommend this restaurant because everyone should know what Turkish cuisine really tastes like.

I've been eating there for a long time and have always been satisfied. What bothers me is that if you charge €10 for a kebab, the pita shouldn't be half filled with iceberg lettuce. I find this scam very questionable, in the future I will think twice about driving to Mangal again.

The food was great, we were there in Ramadan, wanted to have a beer, so they said we don't serve alcohol. I wonder why the ashtrays were on the table. Doesn't make sense to me.

The atmosphere in the restaurant itself isn't bad. The food isn't bad, but it's not good either. Unfortunately, it had no flavor, and the portions were very small. So, unfortunately, I won't be going there again.

I always say "Doner plate without any spice, just garlic." The meat is always covered in spicy sauce, and I can throw away half of the €20 plate. It's not that difficult, is it?

We ordered a steak kebab and a normal kebab to take away. The steak kebab was supposed to be without tomatoes, but it wasn't. Otherwise, the kebabs made a pretty decent impression and the bread in particular made a very positive impression. But the first look into the kebab and also later on showed nothing of the “many sauces” according to the description. Only two sauces could only be found at the bottom, but they were really tasty! The meat at the steak kebab was very good and the normal meat wouldn't have been convincing. All in all, it was a special, albeit average, kebab that, given the €10 price tag, led us to expect more.

Unfortunately, the service has deteriorated extremely and so has the quality of the food.... There was a hair in the food and, as if that wasn't enough, there was a very sharp piece of bone in the meat. We waited 21 minutes for the food. The waiter didn't come by once to clear things up, let alone ask if we would like anything else... in contrast, I had to go to the front and ask if we could get some food. The answer was short and just under 20-25 minutes waiting time! Then I wanted another dessert which I then had to get out of the fridge myself and therefore have to serve myself. Cay was also not offered although this is supposed to be traditional Turkish cuisine. And when I asked for tea, which of course I had to get up again, we were told to wait 5 minutes. After waiting for 10 minutes we finally got up and paid and politely thanked us. Never see you again, thank you for nothing.

The food is really delicious, but the portions are for small children, you have to look for the meat in the Dürum and kebab... there is almost only salad in it. Add to that the prices...far too expensive for what you get!

Totally overrated! Above average price for average quality and below average portions! Another negative point: Sauces that are usually available in every other restaurant/kebab shop are charged extra or have to be ordered!! Outrageous I'm used to it differently and I know a lot of Turkish restaurants. Even the small tea in advance is charged.

Went there at short notice on a Saturday evening with 4 people, despite no reservation we got a place. It was quite busy that evening so there was a slightly longer wait, but once it was our turn and our order was taken everything went very quickly and our food was on the table within 5 minutes. If I'm in Oldenburg again, I'll be happy to come back.

Cool shop, you can sit comfortably there, if there isn't too much going on, then the seats are quickly used up. The food has always been great, the boys really value authentic Turkish cuisine! Finally! Finally! Finally! Finally there is a good kebab in Oldenburg. I moved here from Berlin and missed a good kebab. Unfortunately you couldn't eat good kebab anywhere here. If anything, everything was pretty mediocre. Finally a kebab in Lower Saxony that isn't stuffed with cocktail sauce and white cabbage. The price is completely justified for the quality of the meat. Very tender and really tasty. I would recommend the kebab even without sauces. You can do the same with meat, just drink it with an Ayran. The only small point of criticism is more onions and tomatoes instead of so much lettuce.

I would like to highly recommend the grill plate with lentil soup Künefe dessert! The food was not only incredibly tasty, but also perfectly presented. The service was excellent, friendly, attentive and quick. Overall, a great experience that I can recommend to everyone. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

The steak kebab is good. Highly recommended. However, I personally find the ventilation much too weak. The one over the grill in particular doesn't do much good, which in turn fills the entire restaurant with smoke. Very unpleasant.

We ate the doner kebab with steak here. The kebab is very tasty, especially the homemade bread from the wood-fired oven. The only criticism was that customers who came in after us were served first even though they were behind us in line. But nonetheless I would eat here again as the quality of the food is very good.

After we had to wait 20 minutes for the waiter, we had to wait another 40 minutes for the food (5 simple dishes). When we paid we were treated like fools ("of course you have to know the table number"). Doner was extremely simply put together. Price performance completely missed.

I would love to give it no stars at all. I ordered a kebab with extra meat. I got a mini portion, the meat was cold and completely poorly seasoned and wobbly. When I told the waitress, all she said was "aha". This store will never see me again. In my opinion the worst kebab in Oldenburg. If you do go out to eat there, you should order three kebabs straight away. Normal card payment is also not possible, so I had to pay for my meal with Paypal. Just ridiculous.

For me the best Turkish restaurant in Oldenburg. Super nice people, delicious food and drinks. Much of it is made by hand and with love. All of this at an absolutely fair price. Absolute recommendation, we are always happy to come back. Thanks for the hospitality.

11/2024 / Iskender steak kebab mega delicious! Steak kebab plate, the meat is amazing! The side salad is also the perfect mix and tastes great too! Small point deduction that didn't just affect us: card payments only with Girocard, so we had to go to the bank specifically.

Even if the food tastes great, the service when you come in is rather disinterested, overwhelmed and the restaurant is too crowded. Maybe they should have expanded or opened a second shop instead of murdering the outside facade. The photo is on a Sunday, people are sitting outside 🙈 It's a shame, the service was different and the atmosphere was more cozy.

Mangal was once different, I was just there ordering something and we had to place our order ourselves at the checkout while 10 employees were at work. After waiting 35 minutes for our food nothing came, then when we asked we were told it would come in 5 minutes. Some people came in next to us - a man and a woman got food within 10 minutes I wouldn't make any difference between people if I were you. I don't recommend anyone to go there as of today

At home, disappointingly, I discovered that there were a lot of tomatoes in the food and neither the salad nor the kebab plate had a drop of sauce on it. ... Furthermore, the hot sauce should only be put on the kebab if you say so. That's what we're used to everywhere. The Mangal-Grill Restaurant surprised me positively. I really enjoy eating kebab and other Turkish grill specialties and I found what I was looking for here. Top quality food, cleanliness and service is attentive and quick. The atmosphere is functional, modern, well-kept and very clean! The pricing is fair and appropriate for the quality and quantity. Conclusion: Good food at a reasonable price and very good hygiene.

I'll start with food. The bread was so crispy that I scraped everything in my mouth. The kebab bag had meat with very little sauce and iceberg lettuce in it. For €7.90 I expect a little more. But the crowning glory is the toilet, the toilets are so disgusting and dirty…. There was either blood or 💩 smeared on the walls, and unfortunately there was no soap either. But there was always a hygiene spray on the windowsill that could be used. Once and never again.

Der Eindruck von allem war super! Man konnte sehen wie das Essen zubereitet wurde. Sauber, ordentlich und sehr frisch! Das Fleisch ist frisch gegrillt und das Gemüse auch ganz frisch zubereitet! Einfach lecker, Geschmack wie im Urlaub in der Türkei!🇹🇷 Das Personal sehr freundlich und nett und deutschsprachig. Unbedingt zu empfehlen!!!
