We booked a table at short notice and were not disappointed. The outdoor seating was wonderful. The food was very good, plentiful, and appetizingly presented, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. My girlfriend and I ordered the surprise dessert (very tasty and plentiful), and the men also received a free dessert. A very pleasant evening in a very nice restaurant. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

I'd love to give no stars at all, but unfortunately that's not possible, so I'm forced to give at least one. This is the WORST AND MOST UNPROFESSIONAL restaurant in all of Oldenburg. I ate there with my husband today. We were incredibly hungry and were looking forward to the meal. When we arrived at 4 p.m., we were told the restaurant wasn't open until 6 p.m. When we arrived at 6 p.m. sharp, we wondered why we couldn't find a parking space. The reason was that the restaurant doesn't open at 6 p.m. as the lady stated, but at 5:30 p.m. We figured it wouldn't be a big deal and sat down. The manager came over twice and asked if we were ready to order. We said both times that we needed two more minutes. We then ordered an appetizer and then the main course, including drinks. The starter arrived after 30 minutes. After that, we waited over an hour for our main course. On top of that, my husband's food was completely cold and unseasoned. After waiting an hour, we were obviously already hungry. We called the waitress to pay. When I asked if everything was okay, I explained that we'd been waiting over an hour for the food. She simply replied, "Yes, I know, it's full." Unfortunately, that's no excuse for going there hungry and then, after the food finally arrived, getting up two minutes later and leaving full plates because you weren't hungry anymore. Afterwards, I tried to clarify the matter with the manager on the way home. Instead of understanding, I was told that there are other restaurants down the street and I can eat there next time. For a restaurant with over 45 years of experience, I find it extremely unprofessional to treat customers like that and show zero understanding. And to put yourself above the customer.

Super friendly service, and the food was and always is absolutely delicious. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

A really nice restaurant that's been around for ages. I've been there twice now to form my own opinion. The service was really very friendly, but the rest was unfortunately extremely disappointing. Whatever meat I had was absolutely dry. It was cooked far too long. I could only eat the rice from my plate; everything else was inedible. I'd love to give it a better review, but for such an insanely high price, you expect decent food. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back...

Nicely sat outside in the winter garden - very attentive service and the food was delicious! A delicious salad with warm baguette, roast lamb from the grill and for dessert a scoop of ice cream with 2 delicious sauces (dessert was free). Everything was perfectly prepared.

Unfortunately, it's a real shame. It's worth going further to Bremen because the meat was absolutely not seasoned according to the original. In the other dish, the butter is very important, but I couldn't find it either. More expensive but not with Turkish taste but adapted. Just no fat.....Not even a hint of spiciness. And why do you leave the door open when it's 12 degrees? Are you saying the customer is too stupid to open a door? When we asked, we were told it had to stay open. Staff was nice.

Since we have been traveling a lot for years and often go to good restaurants that call themselves Turkish, especially on the way, we have to say... we were missing a few here. The ayran, probably homemade, was weak. The salad had a standard German sauce instead of Turkish with lemon juice, pomegranate syrup and co. The calendar kebab was completely missing the butter in the bread and the kebab meat tasted like... nothing. The Adana Kebap meat lacked any seasoning. The bread was not Turkish, freshly baked flatbread, looked more like ready-made baguette sliced. The rice was delicious, as was the starter cream. Our two main courses were nothing. And the grilled eggplants were quite bitter. And the seats were quite tight. The door to the restaurant was open despite it being 13 degrees outside... beautifully decorated there.

Recommended! Nice restaurant, very friendly staff and most importantly, very tasty food. It's 60 km from where we live, but we like to drive there occasionally, it's worth it.

There were five of us, father, mother and three sons. The house was full because of a birthday party, but the service was always attentive. The food was excellent, Turkish cuisine in the best tradition. We had a very nice evening (a little tip, just as a side note: don't try to be relaxed and funny, even if there are children at the table, the adults appreciate professionalism).

As expected, the menu is very meat-heavy, which is why you go here. Service was very personal and good, but a drink was brought in the wrong size and was not corrected on the bill despite a promise. Otherwise very tasty, nice and good atmosphere.

On December 31st We ordered New Year's Eve menus (there was nothing else). The small salad and the small dessert, which are normally and kindly often served free of charge, were this time considered official parts of the menu. The main course tasted good, but the portions were too small, so the gentlemen in our group in particular were not full. The prices were almost twice as high as on “normal” days. So: The price-performance ratio receives a minus rating from our group.

Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Die bestellten Getränke kamen zügig und kurz darauf ein kleiner Salat mit warmem Pide. Die beiden Hauptgericht waren völlig ausreichend dimensioniert und nett angerichtet. Das Lammkarre war auf den Punkt, Hähnchenfilet und Köfte saftig und richtig durchgegart, das Rindersteak „medium rare“, also auch perfekt und das Dönerkebap sehr dünn geschnitten und angenehm gewürzt. Zum Abschluss gab es noch einen süßen Gruß aus der Küche Einzig als ein wenig störend haben wird die Temperatur im Restaurant am Tisch in der Nähe der Eingangstür empfunden. Bei einer Außentemperatur um die Null Grad kühlte es durch die neuen oder gehenden Gäste dort immer wieder sehr schnell ab. Eine besondere Freude für uns war es, Orhan Yürüm, ein „altes“ Gesicht aus der Ali Baba - Zeit im Feldschlößchen wieder zu treffen, der hier immer noch die Gäste verwöhnt.

Very tasty food with incredibly friendly service. Unknowingly, we stayed seated until the restaurant was already on break for lunch. We only noticed this after more than 20 minutes, but the employees didn't put any pressure on us and, on the contrary, encouraged us to stay. I know it completely differently from other restaurants. Great address for Turkish cuisine in Oldenburg. Inconspicuous from the outside, cozy and good inside.

We had doner kebab for lunch. The portions were quite large, with salad and ice cream for dessert. The food tasted good, although it was a little underseasoned. For 12.80 euros a very good price-performance ratio with friendly, attentive service. What really irritates us, however, is that this "Turkish" restaurant also offers pork, for example an Istanbul plate with, among other things, pork steak, which must sound quite absurd to Turks.

Auf Empfehlung waren wir an einem Samstagabend zu Dritt im Ali Baba. Die Reservierung klappte gut und wir hatten einen schönen Tisch im überdachten Außenbereich. Nachdem wir unsere Bestellung aufgegeben hatten, kam ein "Gruß aus der Küche", welcher uns überraschte. Ein kleiner Salatteller, sehr lecker. Das Hauptessen war zu unserer vollen Zufriedenheit und als erneute Überraschung bekamen wir als weiteren "Gruß aus der Küche" ein Dessert mit Eis. Das Personal war ausnehmend freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es könnte nicht bessser sein. - Gruß an den Kellner mit der "tollen" Stimme ;-) Wenn ich das nächste Mal auf Urlaub in Oldenburg bin, wir kommen wieder!!! Danke

I wanted to show my partner the great restaurant ("as it was about 10 years ago"). I used to always leave here happy. But today it was absolutely “not good” I had the 61, grilled pork fillet with onions and champions, and baked potatoes. The fillet was fine, but the onions and champion were cooked mushy. Not even roasted like that in the onion mash. The baked potato tasted sweet, as if the potato had been frostbitten. And it was muddy too. I only ate the meat and the quark (zaziki). They won't see me again.

Turkish cuisine, fine yet authentic. Quaint restaurant, warm hosts. One of the best addresses in Oldenburg.

Eating took an incredibly long time (1.5 hours), the meat obviously still had to be bought and we were about to leave when the food finally came. Then it was actually absolutely nothing special, it seemed to us as if it had been cooked quickly.

We were registered there as a small (12 person) wedding party. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Unfortunately the service/reception is totally wrong (zero stars) The bride and groom were neither congratulated nor offered a small champagne or anything similar as a welcome. I know it differently!!!!!! The table service was very good. Friendly/attentive and very quick. The quality and taste of the food varies between 3-5 stars. The prices for some dishes are a bit exaggerated. Especially if you have looked at the menu/prices online in advance. Only to find out on site that the prices are on average 15-20% higher. Example grill plate for 2 people. Internet €44, on site €52. This applies to the entire menu. Which still struck me as very negative. During the entire stay (approx. 2.5 hours) no special attention was paid to the bride and groom. Even after paying the bill (including a good tip) nothing came. As I gathered from a conversation with other regulars. Only regular guests receive increased attention (e.g. surprise dessert). Conclusion bottom line. If you want to eat normally, ok. Not recommended as a company. We felt treated like second class guests. This can also scare away new guests.

Seit vielen Jahren kenne ich das Ali Baba und ich komme immer wieder gerne hier her. Angenehme Atmosphäre und freundliches Personal machen den Besuch zu einem Erlebnis. Speisen und Getränke sind dabei seit Jahren auf hohem Niveau. Wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch.

Wollte gerne mal das Essen probieren, hab mir auf der Website was ausgesucht und dann angerufen. Wollte das abholen. Der Typ am Telefon machte das Essen dann 10€ teuer als es in der Karte stand. Daraufhin lehnte ich dann ab. Da ruft der Typ tatsächlich zurück und meinte verdammt unfreundlich, dass ich wenn ich ein Mann bin, mein Gesicht im Restaurant zeigen solle. Unglaublich!

Wir gehen gerne Essen und Testen uns von Stadt zu Stadt durch..Sowie wir auf diesem Restaurant gestoßen sind, das Essen war an sich lecker je doch kam die Platte für 2 Personen mehr Kühl als warm an.. Das Essen war sehr Kühl.. Der Service.. Zum Kotzen ! Wir hätten gern noch weiteres bestellt wie Z.b Getränke ! Je doch kam und kam niemand man wurde angeschaut und man geht weiter .. Für mich schlechter Service immer sitzt man über 25 Minuten dort mit Durst..Vielleicht anderes Personal dann wäre es in Ordnung !
