Mangal Döner in Pulheim

The owner had my negative review deleted. This is probably the case with other customers too. It is then claimed that you didn't eat there. So take your receipt with you. I won't come to you anymore!

Very tasty Döner and nice service.

Today I ate my kebab in this atmosphere for the first and last time. Basically, I'm a kebab fan and I'm always very satisfied with the taste, but the location.....the place wasn't heated (you couldn't take off your jacket), the furniture was worn out, the toilet was unclean and there wasn't even paper towels after washing your hands. So it's a shame that there seem to be such serious differences in the lack concept.

Staff very friendly and the food was delicious 2 times Lacmacum complete always happy.

Why does a ready-made Dürüm cost more than home-made bread? There is no meat sauce on it and it comes from a bag from Aldi! The portions vary greatly, with more or less meat. And then the sauce that has mayo as a base, yum.

Great food at reasonable prices, nice service and definitely a great mood with the service. The döner is really on a high level and very tasty. I recommend it to everyone who wants to eat well and feel good. I will definitely go there next time. A private celebration or delivery can also be arranged.

In general the food is great! The masses of suits of stars 🌟 are gathering because of incompetent staff. Never before have I had such a different quantity and quality of theoretically the same food. Today there was almost no meat on the kebab, and the two people behind the counter didn't agree either.

Sorry, since the new operators are in there it's just GROSS AND BAD. The cocktail sauce is so liquefied that it soaks the hard bread. Fat oozes out. It just tastes bad. That WAS much better. If the operators only speak in their language, you as a customer don't feel particularly valued. WE DEFINITELY WILL NOT COME TO THIS BRANCH AGAIN. WE'D RATHER DRIVE SEVERAL KM TO ANOTHER BRANCH BECAUSE IT RUNS PERFECTLY THERE.

The food is very tasty, I often come to the store, very fresh bread and fresh salad and the employees are also very friendly and nice 👍🏽.

I was in the store for the first time on July 17, 2024 with my husband and in my opinion, the employees who prepared my food for me as well as the young lady at the checkout were very friendly and the food was freshly prepared, especially the salad freshly prepared. Only the ambience looks a bit old and new furniture should definitely be arranged. See you next time

Furnishings: Unfortunately, the atmosphere in the store does not convey a feeling of well-being. The furniture looks dated and doesn't fit a modern eatery. There is a lack of an attractive, comfortable design that invites you to linger. Service: I wasn't really impressed with the service. There was no special kindness or attention to enhance the experience. Eat: What was positive was that the bread was fresh and the sauces in the kebab tasted good. Unfortunately the meat no longer met my taste, it seemed artificial and was very fatty. Despite the taste, I ate enough, but without feeling like I had enjoyed anything special. Conclusion: Overall, my visit to this branch was unfortunately not convincing. It's not a place I would particularly recommend.

How can a shop like this survive to this day? Listless employees. Onions were prepared with bare hands in the kitchen. The shop is dirty. With the kebab, the bread was dry and overbaked and therefore rock hard. Some of the meat wasn't cooked through. The sauce was already mixed with other sauces and tasted bitter. Get a rash on your tongue immediately after eating it. Those sensitive to hygiene know what I mean.

The food was so-so, the service was a total disaster, they were on their cell phones the whole time they were talking to you. The atmosphere is dirty, uncomfortable and rocky.

I suspect that the kebab sauce is diluted with water because I don't know that from lack of it. The sauce was like water and had no taste and to charge almost €6 for a portion of fries is, in my opinion, an impertinence And hygiene is often not given much importance. We were in this store for the first time 3 weeks ago! The NICE, unkempt lady at the checkout took our order in between (cell phone was more interesting) (but she was so unfriendly and aggressive) . The young man at the kebab skewer was alone and didn't get any support from the lady! (The boss's daughter, which I found out later) I won't mention the hygiene in the seating area because others have already done that :-( My son's meal was ready. But we still had to wait for the fries because she hadn't already thrown them into the deep fryer. So my son's food got cold (he wanted to eat at home) I asked that we would like the sauces packed separately. If this is possible. The young man on the spit said of course. But there were no containers at hand. He asked the young lady to get some. She was totally annoyed and was gone for 10 minutes. Came back in the meantime and of course the fries etc were cold! She had a very unkempt appearance: hair looked like it hadn't been washed for at least a week, long unkempt nails were partly broken, and her T-shirt hadn't been washed for at least a week. SHE DOESN'T KNOW THE TIME OF DAY OR A SMILE (this is the second time I've seen her there, same thing) And something like that in the food industry! The guys who work there apologize for the circumstances and say unfortunately they can't do anything. They are really nice and try hard. SHE IS THE BOSS' DAUGHTER. I've already called the main switchboard. This is well known, or at least that's how it seemed to me. As a Frenchiser, Mann should try harder. The kebab is not bad, at least better than what you get in Pulheim. We won't be going there anymore because of the NICE LADY. 2 x gave the store a chance.

If you want to eat a Mangal kebab, you should definitely not go to Stommeln. I have nothing to complain about at the other branches, but this one is a disaster, especially in terms of hygiene, so you lose your appetite. The toilets are a disaster (several layers of urine dried on top of each other.. a large sign tells you not to throw hand towels into the toilet, but there is no toilet paper anywhere in sight..), dirty cutlery, straws with spider webs, floors, tables, etc . dirty. Generally absolutely unhygienic, which is a shame because the Mangal kebab itself is actually delicious..

A great franchise bistro aka Lukas. Just something that was a bit annoying. A few flies scurried from outside to inside because the door was open. But the conclusion is great

Worst Mangal store I've been to so far. The kebab couldn't be compared at all to what you're used to from Mangal. The portion of fries consisted of hot and cold fries...there were probably leftovers mixed together. The cleanliness of the store was a disaster. The tables were dirty and there was leftover food everywhere. The same thing happened on the floor, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned properly in weeks. The store was completely empty and the employee had a cell phone in his hand the entire time. Maybe he should have swapped the cell phone for a rag. The visit was a real disappointment.

The worst restaurant I've ever seen. The food was just bad, and that's how I felt afterwards. And the service uses pliers for everything and when I said something he got cheeky too. The store is simply disgusting. Podolski should take a look at the people who use his franchise.

The visit was on July 4, 2024 at around 1:35 p.m On hand, the kebab sandwich was unfortunately not edible because it was half torn apart. The bored "kebab man" couldn't remember anything, you always had to tell him that he had forgotten something that was just ordered! Endless burnt spots! And then everything (2x kebab sandwich and 1x fries) cost almost €22, sorry Poldi... Ok, the fries were awesome, but they have to be at just under €6! But is Stommeln worth visiting again? Already got takeaway falafel sandwiches there twice. Both times they were delicious and richly filled. Special requests (additional portion of falafel balls) were easily possible. I personally don't like the ambience of sitting there, but so far I have nothing to complain about about the food itself!

I was in the store for the first time today and I can only speak positively about this store. Keep it up!!!!

I had a chicken doner sandwich. Compared to the other mangals in Cologne, this was the worst store so far. The kebab was actually quite okay, but unfortunately some of the meat was very burnt and dry. The Poldi-Ayran couldn't score points compared to other no-name Ayrans. Unfortunately there were no thirst quenchers even though they were on the menu. In addition, there were no dry towels in the men's toilet. The only plus point: the portion of the kebab was much larger than in other shops and that I got the Ayran for free (I have no idea why) I will not visit this mangal again.

Best kebab in NRW and I test a lot of restaurants and kebab stalls and snack bars. Top like in Cologne several times and in Essen or elsewhere

Maybe pay the employees more wages so that they can take a shower sometimes. (Stunk like hell) The sandwich was ok, the salad was fresh. The fries are a joke, simply inedible, better taken off the menu if you can't make fries. I won't recommend it and won't come back.

The quality leaves a lot to be desired. The other Mangals in Cologne are much fresher. Only works when you're hungry and need to fill up quickly.

I ate there with my family. When my world champion plate was put together I noticed the browned lettuce. Only after a comment was it pushed to the side and I was served fresh salad. In my wife and children's Dürüm, which had already been rolled, the browned lettuce was used. My sister-in-law also had a world champion plate and her meat wasn't cooked through. It's a shame, we had hoped for more.

I've never had to wait so long in such an empty store. The time between preparation also meant that a kebab was already cold. Never again. Big name, very small achievement. There are better addresses in Pulheim.

I ordered 2x kebab plates in advance. Unfortunately, the ambience was taken over by the previous owner with worn benches, pretty bad by Mangal standards. When asked questions, the employee seemed very confused and unsettled. Cutlery wasn't replenished at the counter, the table was dirty and not wiped clean. In addition, oriental music is used, which doesn't seem particularly inviting. Last but not least, there was a very browned (rotten) lettuce leaf in the salad, you could mistake it for chicken meat. Last but not least, the smell in the store was anything but pleasant. The food was somewhat positive, at least it was “OK”. The portions were normal but still too expensive compared to the price. Conclusion: Disappointing and overhyped. Won't eat there anymore. I don't understand how people can say positive things about the store. Probably friends of the owner...

I treated myself to a Dürüm. Taste good but nothing special. I was now thinking of a premium kebab shop but that's not it. Actually like any other. 8.90 for n Dürüm is not without it but you can treat yourself

Incredibly incompetent, gum-smacking employees. Demotivated, lame, disinterested and just plain dull. The taste was delicious... it would certainly have been even better if everything had still been warm!! But unfortunately once and never again!!

3 employees together have an IQ of toast. 1 is working, 2 others are standing around looking stupid. It took them 20 minutes for 3 Dürrüm. The other 2 were already cold. Meat not grilled but cooked through. What a bunch of idiots there.

Everything is fresh and tasty, I highly recommend it if you are nearby. The only small minus was the cashier, who wasn't very nice, but the cooks were very nice

As soon as we entered the "booth" it didn't smell as appetizing as it should. Everything looked dingy. So I briefly checked to see if there was a clean table. But apart from chewing gum stuck on the benches, smeared tables and really dirty floors, there was nothing there. At the exit of the tablet return, the probably not tasty food was piled up. Of course we left “The Booth” without an order. Mr. Podolski should perhaps keep an eye on who sells his otherwise great and delicious kebabs in other stations. PS: the unfriendly manner of the staff was also not welcoming.

We wanted to see for ourselves after all the negative criticism and we can't understand it. Both employees present were friendly and understood us. The bread was warm and fresh, the salad was crunchy and the meat was juicy and tasty. Therefore full marks. Unfortunately not recommended. Unfriendly staff with headphones in their ears - I'm sorry, you should show a certain amount of friendliness in the catering area. Well, you could still turn a blind eye if the food at least tasted good - unfortunately that's not the case. If you have tried almost all the kebab stalls in Cologne and the surrounding area, you will notice that Mangaldöner tends to be in the middle range. Taste ok but not at this price. Prices are really exaggerated. Just not worth the food. Staff was okay. Planned to eat there, but tables and benches weren't clean. The floor was also dirty. You could look behind the counter and there was plaster that had probably fallen off the wall at the socket. This was taped with insulating tape. Were there for the first and last time. I absolutely cannot recommend it. I was thinking about it when I went out with my food and the staff came in with a pizza. That's saying something

A Poldi sandwich (normal kebab) for €7.90 Result Bread quite hard, meat a good amount and also tasty, unfortunately only a limited selection of salad (onions, red cabbage, cucumber, green salad). There was nothing wrong with the kebab plate with fries (one with chicken and tzatziki sauce, the other with minced veal and chili sauce). The food was a large portion and OK. The ambience was more oriental and there was room for improvement in terms of furnishings etc

Podolski sollte hier mal selber essen. Als ich hereinkam musste erst die Gasflasche getauscht und dann das Messer geschärft und dann der Spieß erhitzt werden. Ok, kann passieren. Es gab nur noch Hähnchenfleisch. Ok, kann auch passieren. Aber sowohl der Spieß als auch der Salat sahen aus als wäre es schon kurz vor Ladenschluss. Geschmacklich war der Döner schlecht. Hat nach fast nichts geschmeckt.In dem Baguettebrot schwieriger zu essen weil alles raus fällt. Service war nett aber was kann man da falsch machen. Ich hätte bei einer Podolski Dönerbude echt mehr erwartet :(

Okay , wir haben dort 2mal essen geholt. Das erste Mal war keiner zufrieden. Nun muss ich dazusagen, wer schon mal über einer wirklich unsauberen döner Stube gewohnt hat der ist schon recht vorsichtig. Gut, davon habe ich dort nichts gesehen, weder beim ersten noch beim zweiten mal, alles war sehr angenehm und offensichtlich sauber. Beim zweiten Mal waren wir begeistert, es waren zwar keine Pommes vorhanden doch dafür haben wir wirklich ein sehr leckeres Brot gebacken bekommen. Wir werden auch wieder dort essen holen, und wer weiß wie wir dann unsere Rezension abgeben. Bis dahin eine gute drei Sterne Bewertung, aus der Nachbarschaft.

Leider keine gute Erfahrung… Sehr schlecht gelaunte unfreundliche Bedienung, obwohl der Laden bis auf eine Kundin fast leer war (29.12.23 13:30). Auf dem Teller sah es gut aus (Gyros Teller), und war eine verhältnismäßig sehr große Portion. Das Fleisch war noch nicht durch und die Pommes hätten auch noch etwas mehr Zeit benötigt. Wir haben es mehr oder weniger stehen lassen und sind gegangen. Wirklich schade…

Ich war im August dort essen und kann den Döner leider nicht weiterempfehlen. Das Brötchen war definitiv schon ein paar Stunden in diesem Warmhalteofen und das Fleisch war sehr trocken. Dazu kommt das die Preise wirklich extrem sind. Die Bewertung schreibe ich erst jetzt, da ich mitbekommen habe, dass hier negative Bewertungen gelöscht wurden und darum die 4,3 Sterne einfach nicht die Realität widerspiegeln. Sowas geht meiner Meinung nach überhaupt nicht. Als Foto der Nachweis das ich tatsächlich dort gegessen habe.

Bester Mangal Döner laden in der ganzen Umgebung, die anderen Läden geizen rum, für paar gr. mehr Fleisch. Aufjedenfall empfehlenswert!

Ich muss hier nun meine Bewertung nach oben korrigieren. Irgendwas scheint passiert zu sein, das sich vieles geändert hat bei denen. Unten könnt ihr meine erste Rezension lesen und nein! ich bin keine Konkurrenz oder so, der Laden war wirklich mies! Alles was unten negativ beschrieben wurde ist nun alles positiv. Alles passt. So wie man es von Mangal kennt. Weiter so! 👍 Zuerst einmal: ich gehe gerne bei Mangal essen, aber der Mangal in Stommeln geht garnicht. Ich habe diesem Laden nun 3 Chancen gegeben, aber jedesmal war was anderes was nicht ok war. Das was ich heute erlebt habe geht absolut nicht für eine Kette. Der Mitarbeiter war um 18:45uhr komplett alleine im Laden. 3 Kunden waren vor mir. Ich habe was zum mitnehmen bestellt und war erst nach ca 40 min raus aus dem Laden. Vor mir der Kunde hat die letzten 2 Sandwich Brote bekommen, diese waren die letzten für den Tag. Danach ausverkauft. Die Kunden danach mussten Dürüm bestellen. Was ist mit den Broten passiert? So kleine Brote habe ich noch in keinem anderen Mangal gesehen und dann auch noch 7,50€ für Döner Sandwitch verlangen? Ich weiß, in Hürth zb kostet dieser 7,90€, aber die Portion und die Qualität ist es wert. Zu meiner Bestellung: die Pommes waren verbrannt und Steinhart. Mein Dönerteller war zu 1/4 leer. Kalbfleisch teilweise verbrannt, Hähnchen war ok, wie man es von Mangal kennt (saftig). Wenn ich zb in Bergheim für den selben Preis von 12,90€ den Dönerteller bestelle, habe ich ungefähr die doppelte Portion von dem, was man in Stommeln bekommt. Bei der ganzen Sache tut mir der Mitarbeiter leid, weil er alles ganz alleine machen musste. Natürlich waren die Kunden genervt von der Wartezeit… diese negative Bewertung geht an den Filialleiter / Geschäftsführer oder wer auch immer das sagen von dieser Filiale hat.

Sauber, gut und vernünftig. 👍🏼 gern wieder, tolles Team. Brot gut gebacken und frischer Salat, Spieß sieht gut aus.

Die Döner sind super lecker und angemessen groß, das Brot ist frisch gebacken und das Fleisch schmeckt top. 5/5 Sterne 🌟 Auch der Mitarbeiter war sehr freundlich, einzig das Ambiente könnte etwas gemütlicher sein.

Mangal Mangal , dass kenne ich doch von irgend wo her ? Die negativen Bewertungen kann ich nicht nachvollziehen, sicher die Fleischmenge, die Lahmacun haben noch Luft nach oben. Geschmacklich gabs aber nichts auszusetzen, der Salat war frisch und knackig, die Saucen dem Haus des Döners nicht unähnlich…. wohl nicht selbst gemacht. Bedienung freundlich, der Laden ist hell und sauber.

Es war nicht viel los, trotzdem war das Personal überfordert. Wenn der Mann am Drehspieß sagt, das Hähnchenfleisch braucht noch, dann ist es absolut daneben, wenn der Mann an der Kasse sagt, ach, geht schon!

Das Essen war baba! Bestes Dönerfleisch eher das Kalbsfleisch ist sehr Zart und sehr lecker 😋 1000% nochmal 👍🏼👍🏼

Hab mittlerweile alles probiert und dort 7x gegessen/abgeholt. War immer lecker. Preis/Leistung ist gut. Küche einsehbar und sauber. Der oft kritisierte Service…zu mir immer nett, manchmal voll ausgelastet (kennt ihr sicherlich auch von anderen Restaurants heutzutage). Passiert halt manchmal. Werde weiter dort essen.

Schmeckt sehr gut. Die Jungs sollten sich lieber 2 Minuten mehr Zeit nehmen und dafür alles etwas aufmerksamer und konzentrierter angehen. Bei 2 Leuten so überfordert zu sein und bei allem dreimal nachfragen müssen ist einfach nervig. Der Mangal in Hürth war da deutlich besser.

Kann die schlechten Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Der Döner ist lecker, es wird nicht an Soßen gespart und diese sind, für NRW-Verhältnisse, vergleichsweise gut. Das Brot ist das beste Dönerbrot was ich kenne. Fleisch ist Standard (Hackfleischdrehspieß halt), Preis ist ja mittlerweile leider auch Standard. Bloß die Pommes, für 5,90€, die gibts woanders billiger und besser. Der Service hängt sehr stark vom Personal ab. Von der Schlaftablette bis zum routinierten Mitarbeiter habe ich da schon alles erlebt. Insgesamt trotzdem der beste Döner der Region.

Nach den vielen Negativen Bewertungen, heute mal selber getestet. Alles gut , Döner schmeckt , so muss das sein 👍

Vorab: Ich kenne Mangal-Döner von anderen Standorten und es schmeckt egal wo, immer gleich. Nämlich lecker! Geschmäcker sind verschieden. Ich war ehrlich gesagt erstaunt über die schlechten Bewertungen und habe es deshalb heute Mittag mal probiert. Ja - es ist nicht alles perfekt. Hinter der Theke arbeiten Menschen! Der eine Mitarbeiter war sehr nett, zuvorkommend und freundlich! Der andere war wohl etwas überfordert und hatte beim Kunden vor mir einen Fehler gemacht und ein Sandwich statt Teller gemacht - kann passieren, wurde sofort ausgetauscht. Bei einigen Bewertungen hier gibt es bei dem User nur eine oder 2 Bewertungen insgesamt: Ich wage die Behauptung, dass hier mit Absicht schlecht bewertet wird. Ich kann diesen Standort absolut empfehlen. Wer keine 7,50 Euro für einen guten, großen Döner zahlen möchte, soll einfach nicht hin gehen. Weiter so, ich fand’s lecker und voll gut!
