If I want vegan gyros in Bochum, I go to Mandragora. Always friendly staff, delicious food, and a cozy atmosphere right in the heart of Bermuda3Eck.

Unfortunately, the waitress who served us on March 15, 2025 didn't leave a good impression. When the tip of €2 seemed too little, she grimaced and didn't say thank you. When asked if she could take a photo of our table, she answered bluntly that no, she didn't have time. So the evening left a bad aftertaste.

This is history in Bochum. It's always great to come back there...

Delicious, varied food, large selection, good beer and plenty of space to shock. A visit to Mandra is always worth it.

One of the reasons why the Bermuda Triangle exists in Bochum is this restaurant institution on Konrad-Adenauer-Platz. With the interior design, the audience has also gotten a little older, but in my opinion that definitely adds to the charm. If you want something a little quieter in the hectic Bermuda Triangle and also want to have conversations at the table, this is the right place for you.

Great atmosphere, standard drinks

If “Kneiporant” fits anywhere, it should be here. Good drinks, good food, great service. Minus points: no more breakfast and the new opening times. But that is more than offset by the warmth of the incredibly great staff. "Home away from home"!

The “Mandra” in Bochum has been around for “forever and 12 years”. The Bermuda Triangle is based on the Mandragora... Employees are super nice and fair, drinks taste good. I didn't eat... But I enjoyed the ambience... again and again!

The venerable Mandra under new management has retained a lot of the good old things and rediscovered a lot of what was lost, for example the ambience plus when someone actively cares about the music, and a lot of traditional Ruhrpott nonsense has been replaced by selected spirits without becoming wannabe-fancy. The cuisine is still good, not as opulent as it was 20 years ago, but absolutely ok given the 2024 economy. The quality is still impressive and much of the former charm has remained or been resurrected. After over 40 years, still a flagship of the Bermuda3eck.

The root of the Bermuda3Eck Well attended on weekends... not for people who want to chat quietly over a beer or cocktail. This is the location... where you meet after the VFL Bochum game to spend a few nice hours with friends. If you don't know Bochum, you should definitely visit the Bermuda Triangle on the weekend after a VFL Bochum game and stop off here. Real life happens here. With best wishes, Alex A.

Absolute classic for over 45 years at the “gateway” to Bermuda3eck. The "blue" outdoor area invites you to linger outside and enjoy drinks (including FIEGE v Barrel) are offered for self-service at two “tap points”.

Käsespätzle are bombastic, service is super nice, I even got a Negroni even though it wasn't on the menu :) And we can also recommend the drink “KoMa”! Never seen it anywhere and it's kind of cool even though it's very simple :D Atmosphere very cozy!

Pretty disappointed with the place.

Unfortunately only one star because after 45 minutes we were ignored and therefore not served, despite making it known several times. Apparently men's groups are preferred here. It's a shame, I had my first date here with my now husband years ago. A bland aftertaste remains.

Unfortunately, crepes weren't that good, so at best they were okay, and the chai latte was so incredibly sweet that I personally wouldn't visit it again except for beer. The location is of course great and there is a generally good atmosphere there :) Service was also very nice, so overall 3/5 stars

Why are you only allowed to order large beers outside? 0.5l Pilsner is fine, but 0.33l… woe betide anyone who wants to order that…

Die Kneipe im Bermud3eck. Immer wieder ein Besuch wert um ungezwungen etwas zu trinken oder zu essen. Ist nicht so trendy wie andere Kneipen im Dreieck was ich sehr entspannend finde!

Hey Mandra! Today is about potatoes? People know them, love them and like to put them in their soup! Oh wait, that was something different! But if there are fried potatoes in Bochum that are convincing, then it's these! Crispy, salty and oniony 😊 But the star of the plate is the homemade meatball! Of course, it is purely a matter of taste whether bullets should be made from oats, pea protein or kidney beans. I love all the variations and for me it's the taste that counts! And he shoots this meatball! It has the classic taste and with mustard it's simply delicious! 🤤 The lovely people at Mandra can not only make crêpes, but also really hearty ones! Love it 🖤🌈

Nice restaurant with good staff. The food and drinks were very good. Unfortunately quite crowded and very loud. But if you don't mind the noise, you'll find everything you need for a lovely evening here.

The Mandragora is located in the so-called "Bermuda Triangle", the nightlife area in the city of Bochum. The Mandra was already an institution in the 80s. Very cozy with very good food and a large selection of drinks. The service is always great and you just feel very comfortable There is also great live music there every now and then. Of course, in the summer you can also sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. Mandra is and remains my number one place.

We always enjoyed coming here to eat schnitzel. Unfortunately, the children's menu was "forgotten" to be included in the new menu last year, but it was still available upon request. Til today. Unfortunately, upon request, there were no more children's meals available. Absolutely none. A pity. We left and are now looking for something new.

The food and prices have been adapted to the music forum. Hence audience "upper" middle class. Good business model. The food is really good (Viennese schnitzel with fried potatoes) - relatively expensive - the (female) service is extremely pleasant, friendly and pretty too.

Very pleasant shop, the music was great and at a comfortable volume. Service was also nice and the boss was also very friendly.

We were here last week with a small group. The atmosphere is good, the staff was friendly and came by often, very good! The drinks were also very fresh, which I really liked. Many restaurants serve Cola / Bitter Lemon which is already very stale. I can now only judge the Dublin Schnitzel, which unfortunately wasn't that good. It actually only consists of schnitzel, fried potatoes with bacon and a mushroom cream sauce. The sauce was good but the breading and the fried potatoes were unfortunately super spongy/rubbery. I can only imagine that the food was under a cloak to keep warm or maybe in the microwave again to warm up? But that's just speculation. You might want to invest in a good heat lamp here if that's it. A friend told me afterwards that his cheese spaetzle was very tasty.

Ich finde, dass Mandragora hat nichts von seinem Charme verloren. Gott sei Dank gibt es die noch, die Kneipen, die mit uns durch Leben gehen und uns für einen kurzen Augenblick vergessen lassen, dass wir doch schon älter sind, als wir uns manchmal fühlen. Herrlich gemütliches Ambiente, nettes Service Personal und gute Küche. Es gibt auch immer noch Galettes - super. Aber auch die anderen Gerichte sind zu empfehlen. Wenn wir mehr Zeit gehabt hätten, hätten wir glatt noch an Kneipen Quiz teilgenommen. Das machen wir dann beim nächsten Mal. Liebes Mandragora bleib noch lange wir du bist.

Schöner Laden am Anfang des Bermudadreiecks, der etwas anders ist als der nahe Rest des Dreiecks. Etwas zum entschleunigen und old school Essen und trinken in geselliger Runde. Sehr schönes Ambiente.

یک غذای گیاهی خوشمزه که ترکیبی از پنیر و نان لواش و اسفناج و گوجه بود سفارش دادم که متأسفانه نامش را فراموش کردم. شباهت زیادی به غذاهای گیاهی روستاهای ایران داشت. بار دیگه به آنجا خواهم رفت و غذاهای دیگر را نیز سفارش خواهم داد. در اینجا نوشيدن آبجو را فراموش نکنید. کیفیت و مزه آبجو خوب بود.

Toilette ist nicht so sauber und wer gehe hindert ist also Rollstuhl hat, kann sich dort nicht aufhalten.

The schnitzel here is amazing and it's in a great spot for people watching at the bottom of Bermudadreieck. The perfect place for a cold Moritz Fiege Pils on a summer's evening - and the manager is a top bloke too!

A delicate place really. Recommended if you're seeking for a pub that is rather quiet and crowded with older people with calm attitude. Staff was also very kind.

Traditionsreiche Studenten Kneipe im Bermuda Dreieck mit Alternativ Touch. Personal freundlich und flott. Hier bekommt man kleine Gerichte mal ab von dem üblichen Pizza und Schnitzel einerlei. Leckere satt machende crepes und galettes. Nicht direkt ein Gourmet Tempel aber lecker und ausreichend.

Lecker, zu jeder Uhrzeit gut. Leider Wochentags kein Frühstück mehr. Schön das wieder auf ist.

Tatsächlich war ich heute zum ersten Mal dort. Seit ich die neue Karte gesehen habe wollte ich es unbedingt testen. Ich bin sehr begeistert. Die Mitarbeiter waren super freundlich und sehr aufmerksam, selten so guten Service erlebt. Das Essen hat meine Erwartungen echt übertroffen. Hatte ein veganes Galette und ein Crepe beides grandios. Mein Vater hatte ein Cordonbleu und den Kartoffelsalat. Auch er war mehr als zufrieden. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen und die Speisekarte weiter ausprobieren. Die vielen veganen Optionen sind super. Aber es gibt eben für jeden etwas.

Meine erste Wahl um Crêpes zu essen oder was zu trinken. Auch für Treffen ist das Mandragora gut geeignet da man sich in Ruhe unterhalten kann und von dort ins nächste Kino gehen kann oder durch die Stadt spazieren. Mit dem Parkhaus gegenüber auch sehr gute Parkmöglichkeiten auch am Wochenende

Seit der Wiedereröffnung werden die Kaffeespezialitäten, alternativlos nur noch mit Erbsenmilch angeboten. Ich akzeptiere das man hier alles mit Erbsenmilch anbietet, leiber ist das überhaupt nicht mein Fall, es sollte auf jeden Fall Kuhmilch als alternative angeboten werden. Ich bin hier 30 Jahre sehr gerne auf einen Milchkaffee vorbei gekommen, der war immer Spitzenmässig und ich hatte nie etwas auszusetzen. Ich bedauere es, das ich mir nun als Alternative, ein anderes Lokal suchen muß.

Grad Galette und Gnocchi plus Fiege Pils genossen, alles vorzüglich , wie auch der nette Service!
