The staff was super friendly, but quite stressed because there weren't enough people for so many guests. We were there with a larger group and waited an hour and a half despite pre-ordering the food. The homemade lemonades, we tasted all three lemonades, were very artificial and very sweet and therefore very overpriced. The food was okay. Based on the menu description, we expected more. It was also incredibly loud.

Table wasn’t even cleaned after we were invited to sit. Got two completely wet AND DIRTY glasses. Had to wait more than 40 minutes after ordering, to get…. a pizza and a carpaccio (not even what we ordered… in English…). Staff isn’t especially friendly. They were clearly overwhelmed/understaffed and couldn’t keep up with the flow of guests coming in/checking out. Not cosy at all. Very noisy environment. Clearly overrated

Very relaxed staff, you eat your own food in peace, use your cell phone,... .. instead of serving the guests. The pizza was bland and didn't taste like anything.

The food was ok. We had pasta with ragu, which was mediocre at best and a pretty good pizza. The staff quickly found a table for us but forgot to bring us cutlery at first. The atmosphere wasn't the best, there was too much noise, especially from families with children there which made us want to leave sooner. Also the place was spot clean, well done. There is Also some outdoor seating on a pedestrian street which looks very nice if the weather is right

Evening was marred by surley staff. We have never seen this kind of behaviour anywhere else! Meals were not too bad, but there is a lot of room for improvement, especially for the service!

The food was really delicious and the service was friendly. But the waiting time until the drinks, the main course despite the starter or even the bill were there was utopian. We had to wait almost 15 minutes just for the bill. This is really completely out of proportion.

The restaurant was very busy on a Friday evening. There were three of us and luckily we had reserved. The food was very tasty, although we had to wait over 45 minutes for it. In our opinion, the wait was too long for two pizzas and a salad. We also had bad luck with our service. Unfriendly, disinterested and inattentive. If you don't value friendliness and good service, this is the place for you. It's a shame because just one person leaves the experience with a negative aftertaste.

A very nice restaurant with traditional decor for an Italian pizzeria. The location is excellent and very central. The pizzas are very tasty and a good size. The quality is great and the price is also reasonable at €15, especially considering the location.

We recently visited Mama Trattoria and unfortunately the overall visit was disappointing. The staff seemed unfriendly and unaccommodating. Unfortunately, the pizza bread turned out to be dried-out pieces of pizza, and the carbonara, which was obviously served with cream sauce, had nothing to do with authentic Italian cuisine. The ambience also left a lot to be desired: there were uncleared tables everywhere, which left a messy and uninviting impression. At least the homemade lemonade was fresh and delicious. But what I found particularly annoying was the long wait of over an hour for our food. It's a shame, I was hoping for more.

The pizza was lukewarm, the dough was extremely thin and tasted extremely floury. The restaurant has cafeteria/canteen charm and also extremely uncomfortable seating.

Everywhere in the pictures on the wall dogs are shown in a family circle, but unfortunately it is not possible to give the dog (yes, he was allowed in) a bowl of water - exactly my sense of humor! So the dog remained thirsty and neither food nor drink convinced us. Unfortunately there was a complete lack of taste. But the prices are quite steep.

I've never eaten such bland Italian food. The Margherita pizza tasted indistinguishable from dry bread. The Diavolo/Divola pizza was so mild, if milk is too spicy for you, you will love this pizza. We had two supposedly homemade lemonades to drink, but they tasted so much like syrup that I suspect that the only homemade thing was bottling the tap water. The service was tried hard but massively understaffed and therefore extremely overwhelmed. And for a restaurant that features a dog in every picture, you are not prepared for the presence of dogs. No water for the little one. The restaurant won't see me again. And anyone hoping to find an alternative to Vapiano should quickly get their hands on it and keep looking.

Fui a cenar. A pesar de que teníamos una reserva para más tarde el servidor era tan agradable para sentarnos. Todo es un poco lento. Viniendo de la industria de la restauración puedo decir que falta el enfoque en el servicio. La cocina parece muy poco personal . algunos sirve sacar el mejor provecho de ella y otros simplemente se han rendido. A las 4 de la tarde de un domingo, se están quedando sin cosas básicas. La comida no era buena. No es aceptable por ese precio. Tuve que levantarse para pagar ya que ningún servidor estaba interesado en nuestra mesa. Ni siquiera nos despidimos después de pagar. Definitivamente no vale la pena ir.

I recently visited Mama Restaurant with my husband and we had an absolutely disappointing experience. The first thing I noticed was that the bread we received was probably left over from other guests and was simply reused. That alone was extremely unsavory, but it got even worse. When we got our Caesar salad, I discovered a live snail in my food! I couldn't believe it and complained immediately. But instead of showing understanding or apologizing, the employee reacted disrespectfully and simply said that something like that could happen and that it was completely normal. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also very inappropriate. I then ordered a white wine, but here too the lack of hygiene was obvious. The glass was smeared with lipstick residue and was obviously not really clean.

Das Servieren der Getränke hat unglaublich lange gedauert. Während des Aufenthaltes wurde nicht erneut nach Getränkewünschen gefragt. Ein Gericht wurde falsch serviert - leider keine Möglichkeit der Reklamation, da die Servicekraft sich kaum sichtbar gemacht hat. Die Qualität der Speisen war mittelmäßig.

Pizza was super tasty. Very thin and crispy base and still really crunchy even when delivered! I'm usually used to such sappy, wavy pizzas when delivered. The cheese was also ultra tasty and not too intense. Would order there again at any time.

The quality of the food was good, but the price was definitely higher for what you got. The atmosphere is very nice and the staff was very friendly and accommodating despite our rather chaotic group. The only thing that might be helpful is a little sound-breaking decor to reduce the general volume level a little.

10 minute wait for the pizza and salad, you can't complain! Top pizza thin and crispy if you're looking for mafia pancakes you've come to the wrong place! Price performance is also very good 👍 Staff friendly and good service

Pizza with carpaccio was delicious, I can recommend it. Especially if with Kampari Orange. Waited a long time for the waiter, although there were few people.

The waiters were unfriendly and unaccommodating. They take the order incorrectly and we have to wait a long time for our food. The food was standard and not real Italian. Not worth a second visit, apart from that too expensive for what is on offer.

The pizza wasn't bad in taste and I would have given it 4 stars but the pizza was small and the sausage slices on it were very clear. But the price wasn't appropriate for that. The only thing that was praiseworthy was the friendly service.

So the food is delicious, the service is friendly. The atmosphere has something of a canteen with upscale equipment. But the price is only justified by the location.

I’m Italian. This was terrible. Don’t do it. We went cause everything was so busy around - but I regret spending my money on fake Italian food. Better to take a sausage on the road and save at that point. Sorry but you can’t make pizzas with that dough. You can’t make people wait an hour for that. You can’t charge that much for that kind of fast food pizza.

I can't say anything about the food, I went in a few minutes ago and turned around while waiting for a seat because a rat ran over my feet (in the restaurant!!!) I know that it's right here close to the water It's a constant battle with the animals, but I've lost my appetite.

The pasta was quite good, unfortunately the pizza tasted like a frozen pizza. The pizza rolls were less rolls and more thin pizza base that was baked like a chip.

Everything about this place was great except the food, but it could have been down to dish choice (I had the veal pasta, which was very salty and had a very watery cream sauce). If I went back, I imagine I would try something else but as things stand I was quite disappointed.

There are gluten free options but with cross contamination. It is not safe for people with celiac disease. It is NOT safe for celiac people! The gluten free pasta is cooked on the same water as the pasta with gluten, as the waitress informed me. I didn't eat here but my family did and their food was not tasty.

The food is very tasty. The service is good, but despite the restaurant being moderately busy you have to wait a long time to be served. But the food comes relatively quickly. All in all, recommended and we would go again.

Ein tolles, italienisches Restaurant, das wir jederzeit weiter empfehlen würden. Meine Frau hatte sich ein Nudelgericht bestellt und ich eine klassische Pizza. Die Nudeln waren al dente, die Soße schmackhaft, meine Pizza ein italienischer Traum. Hauchdünner Teig mit rustikalem, üppigen Belag aus hausgemachter Pizzasauce und italienischer Salami. Das Servicepersonal war äußerst freundlich, gut gelaunt und stets aufmerksam. Das Essen wurde etwa 12 Minuten nach Bestellung am Tisch serviert. Was will man mehr!? Über das Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis gibt ebenfalls keine Diskussion. Wir bezahlten für zwei Hauptgerichte mit Getränken inklusive etwa 5 €uro Tipp insgesamt weniger als 50,- €uro. Beim nächsten Besuch in Hamburg, haben wir dieses Lokal schon mal vorgemerkt! Forza Italia!

We were at Mama Trattoria in downtown Hamburg with a group of about 20 people in the evening around 7 p.m. Due to the size of the group, we had already pre-ordered both seats and food days before. Only drinks and desserts were ordered "spontaneously", so to speak. When we arrived, a long table was set for us in the middle of the restaurant. However, for not enough people. This could then be remedied by adding additional tables and chairs. The drinks were ordered by the waitresses using tablets, but serving took quite a long time. The pre-ordered anti pasti plates (one plate for several people) were only delivered after a long waiting time. But it tasted very good. After finishing the anti pasti, it took quite some time until the main courses, which had also been pre-ordered, were served. These were also okay in terms of taste. After the main course, the staff asked for dessert and other drinks. The delivery then came in a reasonable time. However, the number of errors then increased: coffee was served without milk, and in the Sabucca the coffee beans were missing in some glasses; Because suitable cups were no longer available, espresso was served in cappuccino cups. An order of grappa was taken, but neither served nor, fortunately, charged. The selection of digestifs is also rather manageable. At around 9:30 p.m. it was announced that coffee etc. could no longer be ordered due to the store closing at 10 p.m. and we had to leave the restaurant promptly at 10 p.m. While we were there, the shop was mainly visited by our group; around 3-4 other tables were still occupied. As the closing time approached, the staff chatted with each other rather than serving attentively. The guest room is not furnished in an Italian style, but rather stylishly sparse. There are a few Italian words on the wall. There are no tablecloths, just paper sets. The toilets are clean and tidy. The prices for food and drinks are also rather higher. There is no view or ambience in the area either. The restaurant is fine for a stopover on a city tour. Not for a nice dinner.

I've been here several times and always like it: Very tasty Italian cuisine, healthy additions (bowls, whole grain spaghetti, zucchini spaghetti), high-quality drinks (Samova tea, etc.), good coffee, tasteful, comfortable atmosphere and friendly service. Very good system catering at very reasonable prices.

It feels like you're in an upscale McDonalds. You don't have to wait long for the food, but unfortunately it only tastes like a better frozen pizza. Our visit was essentially a hunger-driven emergency. There will almost certainly not be a repeat.

The food didn't convince us. We tried several dishes and all felt the flavor was lacking. Additionally, the use of oil was clearly noticeable in the dishes we had. With my professional experience I can make a good assessment and was surprised that the owner objected to my original post on Google, saying it was defamatory.

Food was okay. The pizza is very crispy, but does not have an airy edge. The tomato sauce was nothing special, the topping was tasty. But the mozzarella pizza was too expensive. The calzone was disappointing with large chunks of tomato that were not chopped and made the calzone soggy. Unfortunately, the service wasn't commensurate with the prices. There was always staff around, but several times drinks were brought that were not ordered. After consultation, these were not taken back and we had to pay for them. Ambience is not very comfortable. Bright lighting, a very large room with lots of seats and no privacy. We don't regret it, but we won't be coming back either.

The food was average if we think that it is an Italian restaurant. They didn't have a menu in Italian. A little slow in serving and it was almost empty. The pizza looked paper thin. I wouldn't go back.

Bei der Bestellung gab es einen kurzen Moment, in dem die Kollegin nicht wusste, dass es Spaghetti mit Pfifferlingen auf der Karte gibt (da in ihrem Buchungssystem Spaghetti con panchetta e finferli steht) und als wir zahlen wollten, hatte keine Bedienung Zeit für uns. Ansonsten gut und ok!

Very nice and considerate service and great dishes with wheat and gluten free options! Unfortunately, pasta cannot be ordered al dente. We went to the mama trattoria near the town hall twice during our stay in Hamburg and were greeted very politely and looked after both times. When the waitress informed me that a small oops had happened with the rest of my food that I had given her to pack and I was visibly frustrated, the kitchen promptly made me a new small portion. I was really happy about that! Because of my wheat intolerance, it is often difficult to find suitable food for me. Since I had an all-day train ride ahead of me the next day, my survival was assured! 😃 Thank you again, we'll be happy to come back! 👌

Very nice and quick service, even though there was a lot to do. The waitress was very attentive and obviously knows something about her job. The food is very good for system cuisine and came very quickly.

Food was okay, but nothing special. The service was terrible. The waitresses are incompetent and listless. We got their displeasure by forgetting our request for an extra (more sauce for the dry salad) and another drink twice. Not a nice memory of our Hamburg evening

The pizzas were very thin and the dough was dry. The tomato sauce on top was a sweet-tasting, non-fruity finished product. The small soft drink (0.2 l for an expensive €3.80!) came a lot later than the food. High prices for not exactly good quality. The menu should also be renewed sometime. Pretty worn out.

I had dinner there with my family on vacation. The pizzas not only looked excellent, but also tasted really good. We really enjoyed our stay at the trattoria.

After more than 10 minutes in the empty restaurant, I got up and asked if we had to order at the counter or be served. The waitress replied annoyed that the service would be there soon. We continued chatting happily with the colleague and when a few minutes later still no one came, we left. A tourist trap with a free drink if a Google review is submitted.

The risotto was not good at all and the staff took forever to come and take the order. Overall the atmosphere was nothing extraordinary and the food seems very expensive for the quality you receive.

A good quiet restaurant to relax after seeing the rathaus. The pasta was good and the salads were plentiful but not incredible either. We arrived around 3 p.m. and we were able to eat without any problem even though we were practically the only ones in the restaurant. On the other hand, there was construction right next door but fortunately they didn't make any noise during our meal.

Very good pizza, the size of which is enough for 2 people. Very nice staff as well as the boss. An address to recommend!!!!

Parecía que el restaurante tenía muy poco personal, ya que tuvimos que esperar casi una hora solo para que nuestras bebidas llegaran momentos antes de que lo hiciera nuestra comida. Esto fue especialmente desagradable, ya que el restaurante estaba muy caliente también. Un camarero rara vez estaba a la vista para incluso pedir actualizaciones sobre nuestra comida. La pasta en sí estaba bien, nada especial, ya que estoy seguro de que encontraría un mejor restaurante italiano en Hamburgo. No recomendaría inmediatamente, a menos que esté buscando alimentos básicos con mal servicio.

The Funghi e Prosciutto pizza was too expensive for the quality of the ingredients at 15.60 euros. The cooked ham tasted rather of the cheap variety. I've had TJ pizzas that came close to this pizza. I had to wait over 20 minutes for it today with a moderate crowd. The empty glass was ignored. Like the other guests, I didn't get DinBrot. The pizzeria on Michaelisstrasse was much better.

I have never experienced such bad service! Forever long waiting times (over 1 hour!) for food that tasted okay. Absolutely not recommended!

We were a group of 8 people, that made a reservation almost a month in advance. It seemed if the restaurant was severely understaffed, as we had to wait almost an hour only for our drinks to arrive moments before our food did. This was especially unpleasant, as the restaurant was very hot too. A waiter was rarely in sight to even ask for updates on our food. The pasta’s itself were fine, nothing special, as I’m sure you would find a better Italian restaurant in Hamburg. Would not immediately recommend, unless you’re looking for basic food with bad service.

Tolles Restaurant in der Hamburger City (direkt um die Ecke vom Rathaus. Wir hatten einen tollen Abend!!

Das Gericht Avocado Bruchetta für 11,80 Euro eine Frechheit - Avocado nicht frisch, Bruchetta ohne Biss. Auch der Salat Mini Mista eine Zumutung. Pizza Bianca Caprino für 15,50 Euro sehr spartanisch belegt, Teig in Ordnung aber schwer zu schneiden. Einzig positiv war die freundliche Bedienung Liza-Marie. Aber das allein wird uns dort nicht noch einmal hinziehen.
