Maki&Tea in Duisburg

We ordered from this restaurant yesterday. The food came quicker than expected and the delivery time was very short. That made us happy at first. Things looked different when it came to eating. In the vegetable fried rice, the vegetable content was incredibly low. The sushi box L looked older and the sushi in it was falling apart. The sashimi, however, looked very fresh in direct comparison! The rice also tasted fresher and the sashimi had a significantly lighter color and was not dried out, unlike the equivalent from the sushi box. We tried the sweet shishi for dessert. Unfortunately it doesn't suit our taste at all. Since we weren't there we can't say anything about the ambience. But the sushi arrives in plastic containers that are transported in plastic bags. There are such great alternatives to plastic these days. Conclusion: If you just want to eat sushi, this is the place for you. If you value fresh sushi and environmental friendliness, you're in the wrong place here. Price performance correspondingly satisfactory.

I love the bowls! I especially like the chicken bowl. It's a healthy alternative if you want to order but don't want to eat fast food. The taste is great and it's a huge portion. Recommendation!

I'm surprised by the amount of soy sauce, teriyaki and other things that came with it :) really very complete. I didn't like all of the sushi flavors, but that's probably a matter of taste. However, everything else was very good and the delivery person was very friendly!

We ordered something through Uber Eats. We waited about 30 minutes and the sushi was very tasty! 😋 Unfortunately I can't say anything about the service there, other than that the delivery person was very nice and that the food arrived on time. 🚚 We would order from you again! 😍

Late in the evening I ordered the single offer - nigiri via the website. The food was on time and the employee even came to the 3rd floor. The edamame were still warm and very tasty. I had tuna, tamago and sake maki. Unfortunately I ordered the wrong Tuna Maki, so I didn't like them. My mistake. The other maki were all delicious. For nigiri I had sake and unagi. They were both delicious, not a 10/10 but for a chain they were really good. Dessert was a hot chocolate brownie which was of course delicious and hot too! Overall, I can only recommend ordering there. :)

Were there today to pick up the things in person. There is no seating in the restaurant itself, it feels more like a warehouse. The staff was friendly. The preparation of the food took a very long time. The quality of the sushi was more than below average, the sweet sushi was inedible. I definitely can't recommend it

I ordered from Maki & Tea and am thrilled! The sushi was delivered quickly and fresh, and I was impressed by the quality. The ingredients were super fresh and the taste was excellent - you can tell that a lot of emphasis is placed on quality here. I particularly enjoyed the sushi – perfectly balanced and just the right amount of sweetness. A big compliment also to the team: friendly and helpful! For me, definitely one of the best addresses for sushi. Absolute recommendation!

Although specifically requested vegetarian sushi with sushi mixed with roe. 30€ for the bin because it's not edible for me.

Delivery was quick (Moers) But the food was really bad: avocado from the Pokebowl was rock hard. Fried Noodles with Breaded Chicken: Noodles were cheap yumyum ramen noodles and the chicken meat was like leather and really not edible. I can't say anything about the sushi, but experience was very bad! We won't be ordering from them anymore...

I have ordered many times and the sushi is really extremely tasty. The fried rice is also to die for. I'm already looking forward to the next time.

I can only agree with Bianca. Food was delivered incorrectly. Was delivered without the sauce ordered which makes the dish. They wanted to sell us that the only thing that was missing was the sauce and that that would be a problem. It affected 3 out of 4 courts. We rejected the promise that we should receive a replacement delivery due to an existing delay 1.5 hours from, with the agreement on a credit note. This then came in the form of 10 euros, with a goods value of 50 euros. Argument: If I order a pizza and there is no corn on it, then I won't get the whole pizza. Conclusion: You get the corn refunded. Steep thesis... Unfortunately, we had to turn down all unreasonable credit offers. Lack of insight doesn't pay off in the long term

We usually look forward to the food. However, this is the second time that the entire meal was cold. This time we didn't accept our entire order. After asking over the phone, we got the answer that we hope it will arrive warm this time. Really a shame.

Veggie sushi peppers and cucumber were okay, the avocado in the other rolls was totally hard, you couldn't chew. Fried noodles had at most a little onion and a few sprouts in them, no other vegetables. Tried it once, but won't be ordering from here again

I would prefer to give zero stars, I ordered there 5 times and the food was cold 5 times. I have never eaten such bad spring rolls and I am extremely disappointed.

I just love this sushi shop! I order here very often and I'm thrilled every time. The sushi is always super fresh, warm and tastes amazing! The delivery is always incredibly quick for me (approx. 50 minutes), and I often even get more sushi rolls than I ordered😍 - that makes me so happy every time because everything tastes incredibly delicious. For me there is no better sushi restaurant! I wouldn't order anywhere else. Absolute recommendation if you love sushi🥰🥰😍

If I could, I would give zero stars. The dishes were so cold that I wondered if I ended up in an Asian restaurant or in a deep freezer. In terms of taste? Unforgettable – in the sense of: never again. The 'chicken sweet and sour' was more like 'chicken cold and sad', and the rice had the consistency of rubber. Even my cat refused to eat and she eats EVERYTHING. As if that wasn't bad enough, they didn't want to refund us the money. After days of discussions and nerves of steel, we finally got our money back. Conclusion: If you're hungry, save yourself time, money and hassle - make yourself a frozen pizza instead. It has more Asian flair than here!

I can't agree with the previous speakers because Maki & Tea has impressed me with every order so far. There was never anything missing and the sushi - when it was supposed to be warm - was always warm.

2.5 hours to delivery. Eat ice cold, crispy duck consists more of fat than meat. Never again.

I ordered through eats and the delivery took around 2 hours to arrive, even after several phone calls to the employees. The problem with all of this was the quality of the products, the bubble teas were very bland in taste and the tapioca wasn't cooked through. The baked bananas are way too hard and not tasty. I wouldn't order from there again

After it was deleted I tried it again like this: Unfortunately the sushi wasn't convincing. When I got home and tried it, I was very sad and disappointed about it. -Maybe it was on the day and is definitely a matter of taste...

Ordered and paid via Uber eats. Unfortunately an item was not available but had already been paid for. It was then said that we would get the money back afterwards. Unfortunately, after several phone calls, nothing happened. The last few times I left my phone number, but didn't receive a call back, which I was promised. Been waiting for six weeks now

I ordered the Sushi Box XL via Uber Eats. The packaging and delivery was all good, but the food itself was sadly very lacking. Fish: The fish quality of the tuna was fine (by German standards), but the salmon seemed to be of very low quality, which was noticeable by the looks and the bite. Also the salmon for the Nigiri has been cut so thin, that I could even look through it and it tasted more like rice than anything else. Nigiri is about fish, not rice! That is also why it's usually so pricey. This was the worst salmon Nigiri I ate so far. The salmon Maki was normally filled though, but made it easy to taste the bad quality of the fish (just look at the picture and search for salmon Nigiri on Google as a comparison). The rice: I only ordered here once, so I have no comparison to other days. The rice was surprisingly long in shape (usually round for sushi) and was not cooked well, since it had a little too much water and it was still slightly raw on the inside!! The seasoning was on point though. My guess is that the rice cooker had been overfilled. The sushi itself: The food gives me the impression that the cook may not be very knowledgeable in this field, because of the way the cucumber in Kappa Maki is served and the size and quality of the shrimps used (probably frozen shrimps). Overall: If you are looking for good authentic sushi, this is definitely the wrong place. It looks like they are trying to cut corners wherever possible. To me, personally, it felt like a scam. I will never order here again. That said, it doesn't have to be true for you though. If you are just looking for some sushi without thinking much about it, this might prove as the right place to go for you. Just don't order any Nigiri. Even you will be sad about the low amount of fish.

With my first order in June I had to wait over 105 minutes and then got sushi with hair all over it, which then completely fell apart! Of course, I complained about it and was offered a credit for my next order. Ok, it can happen, you think and give it a second chance. But when I ordered for the second time yesterday and had to wait 145 minutes for my food, I got really angry! I called several times and complained! Then my order was suddenly canceled by an employee over the phone and the phone call simply ended. I called again afterwards and was told the order would be there soon and I didn't have to pay anything. At 9:25 p.m. the driver finally arrived with my sushi! 7 p.m. was ordered. The sushi had completely fallen apart again, totally sweaty in the plastic packaging and the fried sushi rolls weren't really edible. I could have made sushi myself! But anyway, and precisely because I know what it means to deliver food, I gave the driver a tip of around 10%. Shortly before 10 p.m. someone from Maki and Tea called me again and apologized a thousand times and asked me to have my order delivered again the next day! We agreed on a time for delivery. I was of course home at the agreed time, 7 p.m., and waited. However, I waited in vain because absolutely no one came. I didn't ask for another delivery! I was called and asked to do this! Cheating customers is not necessarily advisable! Addendum: at 8:06 p.m. I got a call telling me that they had forgotten the delivery but that the driver would leave immediately. At 8:55 p.m. the driver arrived with the delivery. And the big thing: I should probably pay for the order too! The food that I was offered the day before as compensation and which I had actually ordered the evening before and had to wait 2.5 hours for. Sorry but I absolutely can't give a good rating in this case. The 2nd star is only because, as a goodie, they packed extra sushi rolls for me and this time the sushi tasted really fresh and not soggy. Nevertheless, I will never order here again.

Ordered via Uber Eats. You can't say anything negative about sushi. Was delicious! Then I had twice fried noodles with chicken to choose from, breaded or without breading. Both were delivered breaded. Then I had chicken with peanut sauce. There was also the option breaded or without breading. Here too breading was added! Too bad!

Normal sushi was really good, but Tamago, for example, was far too sweet. Staff was so nice.

I ordered pick up and got my food right off the bat. The dude at the counter was very nice, accommodating and spoke well English. The guy in the back continuously singing ‘Chicken Nuggets' loudly was very amusing. My Chicken Nuggets, Sake Maki and Matcha-Milk-Tee all tasted very good and I’ll probably order there again in the future.

Good evening, I ordered food today via UberEats around 7 p.m. I have always been satisfied. Your food tastes great, no question about it! However, when the delivery person rang my doorbell and I opened it, I felt intimidated by him. Today is Sunday and of course I had no make-up on, I had on my ratty clothes and my hair was pinned up and I had glasses on. How can it be that I felt judged by him? He looked me up and down with a look on his face. I said hello to him and he looked me up and down again. I said hello for the second time and gave myself my food as quickly as I could and just left. I know my worth and I know that I'm beautiful and something like that is just disrespectful. Such behavior is not appropriate. I won't tolerate this and will pass it on. The supplier needs to look at himself in the mirror and realize that he has to change a few things, sry! I'm not a doll and just wanted to order my food and tried to say hello in a friendly way twice... I'm sorry for the inconvenience but something like this needs to be reported.

Arrived there to find that there is only a takeaway option. very friendly to suggest alternatives, but the website needs updating to Take-Away only Bubble Tea was great!

We've only had it come so far, so I can't rate the ambience. However, we have discovered our new favorite here. Both the sushi and fried noodles are fantastic. The teas are also amazing. So far we have always received more than was ordered, and at the same price. One of the best delivery services ever.

Super nice staff, always generous and there for little free sushi surprises. Sushi is always delicious and ready to pick up within a very short time. There is also a huge selection, so you don't know where to start. All in all, my personal favorite take-away sushi shop.

I live in the neighborhood and unfortunately I regularly observe that the little yellow delivery cars are not parked properly, but instead block the sidewalk directly in front of the restaurant or ignore the no-parking rule that protects the pedestrian crossing.

I bought sushi there for the first time and I'm very satisfied 👍🏼 The boss was so nice and gave me a few makis (and fortune cookies!!, almost forgot), that's why I'm writing this review of my own free will. And the way he spoke and joked with his employees was so warm. I think it will even become my favorite spot! Plus it's halal, I'm happy to support something like that!!

A pity. It was ok, but nothing more. The spring rolls were soft, we looked in vain for the vegetables in the fried rice. In the other dishes the vegetables mainly consisted of corn and peas, which I don't find particularly authentic. The peanut sauce was delicious, but the curry was terrible. The curry sauce had something of a tetra pack flavor and appearance. The difference to a fresh curry with coconut milk and spices is huge. The milk tea was delicious. The driver deserves positive mention. He was very friendly. Maybe the sushi is better, as this is praised in the reviews. For 45€ I'd rather cook myself next time. It's a shame :(

Very unfriendly we got rotten bubble tea and called them directly and then new ones were brought to us and even the real ones were very rotten. We sent them videos and photos but they claimed everything was freshly prepared.

Since the review is so good, we ordered our dinner here. The delivery was very quick and the delivery person was friendly. We ordered udon noodles with "vegetables" and a vegetable dish with rice. The noodles contained bean sprouts and carrot strips. The vegetable dish then only had a few chickpeas and two or three pieces of corn. Unfortunately, everything was put together very carelessly and modestly. I wouldn't recommend these dishes to anyone. There are too many better options in Duisburg. I can't say anything about the other dishes.

Simply the best sushi in Duisburg! Delivery came 15 minutes earlier, 6 Makis were free, Bami Goreng tasted like it should and the drivers were again super friendly. Feel free to tip here. You definitely have me and my husband as regular customers. Top food service! Thanks for that👍

Really bad sushi, and why do I order from another store and get the food from this disgusting store. The food tastes spoiled and you have to throw up after 20 minutes. It really needs to be checked. Just so people know, wok&roll tea bar is maki tea. Same address, same owner. And never again. Total bullshit

Soo, now I'll give a review. I have ordered here several times now and have been satisfied every time. The food you ordered arrives within an hour. On Valentine's Day it took longer, but they apologized on the phone and served more sushi. Price performance is absolutely great. There is even a 20% discount on the website. I always order the 36 maki box, where I can then select the makis of my choice With the 20% discount I'm at around €20 Absolutely OK. Gladly again and again :) 5* from me

We've been waiting for the food for over an hour, the driver doesn't speak a word of German and we don't know where he's supposed to be. We first had to call the restaurant, where even though we clicked on "Delivery", nothing came. We were told "there's so much to do, no time to call." If you're already over 40 minutes late. No matter how good the food is, once and never again.
