The food, like at most makiman restaurants, is very focused on sushi, which usually makes it taste better than at other sushi restaurants 👍. Unfortunately, I've never had anything truly outstanding with the other dishes (curry, meat/fish). Everything was just pretty average, so I'd stick to the sushi. The service is also quite average; a bit of chatting here and there, that's about it. The atmosphere in the city is quite pleasant, depending on the time of day—not too loud and relaxing.

We dined here today with seven people. In beautiful weather, we were able to enjoy the Sunday peace and quiet in Hennef City on the terrace. The service was excellent and the food delicious. We had, among other things, the "Hangover Plate," the "Sashimi Mix Plate," the ice cream variations, and chocolate cakes, among other dishes. Everything was fresh, beautifully prepared, decorated, and presented, and served quickly. We'll definitely be back. 😋

Unfortunately, a very disappointing situation arose with one of your waiters. We left a €3 tip – voluntarily, because tipping is voluntary in Germany and is meant to be a token of appreciation for service. The waiter, however, returned to the table with the €3, put it down without a word, and left. When we asked him about it, he said, in essence, that he didn't need it. We found this reaction inappropriate, rude, and unfortunately disrespectful. Regardless of the amount of the tip, we expect – especially in a restaurant of this price range – a professional, polite approach to guests. This experience unfortunately tarnished our otherwise positive impression. We encourage you to discuss respectful treatment of guests with your team. Quietly located on the market square in Hennef City. There are many restaurants here, but we chose Makiman. It has a large outdoor area and a functionally designed interior. We really liked the maki lemonades, and the food is average. The selection is large, there's something for everyone, and they don't just serve sushi. The friendly waitress was amazing, even though there were a lot of guests. She was relaxed and very friendly with her advice on the dishes.

Unfortunately, disappointing. I've been to several branches, and every time I go home disappointed. The price/performance ratio just isn't right. The sushi is "okay" at best, but absolutely nothing special that justifies the price. There are better options in the Rhein-Sieg district for the same or sometimes less money. The only positive thing was the service. Very friendly and attentive...the rest, unfortunately, as always, was more show than substance.

I've been to Makiman several times now and I really love the sushi there, and the service is always very friendly. I'm happy to drive 40 km for that. However, on our second to last visit we had to wait quite a while to even order, let alone for the food to arrive. Today it unfortunately took an hour before we could order and then another hour for the food to arrive at the table. I had also ordered an extra portion to take away for my son and paid for it. When I got home I unfortunately realized that the only food in the bag was the food that hadn't been delivered and that I had had packed up. Which was of course very annoying.

Unfortunately, things have deteriorated considerably... The maki sushi rolls are now so incredibly small that you can't even really feel them in your mouth when you chew them... When I ordered online, I had a long hair baked into the sushi 🤢 and several times part of my order was forgotten... It's a shame, I used to be a happy customer here... Plus, the price-performance ratio is no longer justifiable. Extremely overpriced.

Unfortunately, I find the food too expensive, and the quality doesn't convince me personally. At least not for the price. There are cheaper and better-quality restaurants in Hennef.

I ordered food to pick up and was there promptly at 8:12 p.m. Instead of being greeted in a friendly manner, I was immediately told in an extremely unfriendly and annoyed tone that my pickup date had been postponed to 8:24 p.m. No apology, no explanation - just annoyed behavior. At least the food came promptly at 8:24 p.m. But even after that, the bad impression continued: I asked the gentleman at the counter in a friendly manner whether every guest was treated this way or just me. Instead of showing understanding, he was completely surprised that I found the service behavior to be unfriendly. His argument: He would have said “Hello”. If just saying hello is considered friendly, then good night. Conclusion: Makiman 4 has a lot of catching up to do in terms of friendliness and service attitude. As a guest you want to feel welcome - here I felt more like a chore.

Discovered on Monday and have pre-ordered dinner every evening since then and picked it up after work. Super friendly staff and the food, including soups, was always perfectly packed so that it was still warm even after an hour in rush hour traffic! Everything was super tasty. Unfortunately, I've now become addicted to miso soup and will be spending all my money here.

Oh yes, as a teenager, when the Music Adventure was still there, I spent hundreds of marks there. Now I was at Makiman for the first time and I am very convinced: If sushi is in Hennef, then there.

Ordered the ramen today and it was incredibly tasty 🤤. If I didn't live so far away, I'm sure I'd be rolling around in the near future🫃🤣. Super nice atmosphere, great design and very nice service, we will definitely stop by more often when we are nearby.

Delicious! We ordered bibimbap as a hotpot and had a smaller sushi plate served with it. A miso soup was served beforehand. The food was super tasty and very nicely prepared. The prices for the hotpot were affordable and relatively realistic. In my opinion, the sushi is a little overpriced, especially if you want to eat it as a main course. The drinks were also a little more expensive than in other restaurants. The service was very attentive, friendly and very accommodating. All in all you can say that you get good food there and the service is very good. But without a voucher, you should definitely take enough money with you 🫶🏼

It is very difficult for me to rate the restaurant. We drove an extra 20km to eat sushi. What we didn't know was that there was no sushi for lunch, but other Asian dishes. The restaurant is called “MAKI” but there is no Maki at lunchtime!!! I don't understand the strategy. You can make a very small menu at lunchtime to accommodate the few customers. The curry was absolutely good, also for the price. Only if you expect sushi will you be disappointed. Service was super good. I would hire the young lady immediately. In any case, she did her best.

We were at the Makiman in Hennef today and were not only well advised but also wonderfully “served” by David. Everything was delicious...except for the salmon rolls, but that's a matter of taste.

I was at Makiman in Hennef for the first time today. I didn't come with much expectation, but the friendly demeanor of the waiter David put me in a very positive mood.
