The best sushi we've ever eaten. We come here regularly from Cologne and are always amazed by how delicious the sushi is. I highly recommend it. The tables are a bit close together, and when it's busy, it can get quite loud. But we're happy to put up with that. The staff are always very friendly, too.

The sushi was good. Unfortunately, a menu was left out of my order. I called the restaurant and was told they would call me back. Five minutes later, another employee called me and said he'd been stuck in the Lieferando queue for 15 minutes, even though I had only called a short time before. I honestly found that a bit odd. I live very close by, but they still didn't deliver anything. It's a shame, because the food itself was delicious.

Everything was just perfect. A very nice atmosphere, a nice, friendly waiter who was always available to help and advise, and excellent food. We ordered different platters to get a taste of the food and to chat. We didn't regret it and will definitely come back. Thank you for this exciting and interesting evening with you.

Very good sushi. We were always satisfied and would happily return. A platter for two people costs around €55, but it's certainly plenty big (about 30 sushi pieces + miso soup). The service is very friendly and attentive and comes by regularly. You can always ask if you can swap individual sushi pieces for platters. I think €5 for edamame and wakame is too expensive, but the sushi is worth it.

We received a very friendly welcome, but when we wanted to put the soy sauce in our bowl a dead fly came out with it. We didn't think anything of it, as it could have been an accident, and took the soy sauce from the table next door, but exactly the same thing happened. There were flies in both soy sauces. The sushi was okay, but two days before I had been to Makiman in Bonn and I can recommend it a thousand times more; both the ambience, the food and the service are better! The staff looked at us the whole time we were eating and at times we had the feeling that people were talking about us, which is a shame, as the ambience was actually pretty nice.

Our wedding was a very special day for us. Unfortunately, an unexpected hiccup occurred: The food we had been so looking forward to was delayed. There were delivery problems, which the team couldn't control. The atmosphere threatened to suffer. But what happened next impressed us more than anything: The managing director of the catering company insisted on personally addressing the matter. With remarkable calm, professionalism, and great commitment, he not only quickly found a solution but also was on-site for delivery to ensure everything went smoothly. The food arrived within a very short time – fresh and of the highest quality. Our guests were thrilled, we were relieved, and a potential disappointment turned into a true highlight of the evening. The managing director's personal commitment made all the difference and shows how much a company cares about genuine customer satisfaction. A big thank you for that, and we would definitely recommend it!

July 2025: We were here again today and were more than satisfied. The food was once again very good, the young waitress was absolutely service-oriented: super friendly, super fast. We were thrilled! A well-deserved five stars!! July 2021: The food is still good. Unfortunately, Lieferando couriers are given preferential treatment, so we as guests have to wait half an hour to order and then another 45 minutes for the food. That's unacceptable! Therefore: only two stars! Summer 2019: Good food is reason enough to award five stars.

The best sushi in Bonn 🤍 Five of us were there yesterday, and they arranged a nice table for us outside. Overall, the ambiance, both outside on the terrace and inside, is very harmonious and fits the concept well. The food was, as always, excellent, fresh, and lovingly prepared. We had appetizers, sushi, and dessert and were overall more than satisfied. The staff is always friendly and, once again, very attentive without being intrusive, which we greatly appreciate. We spontaneously stopped by the evening before and got a table for two without a reservation. The restaurant soon filled up. The terrace area is under gazebos and quite popular. The service is fast, attentive, and very friendly. The illustrated menu overwhelmed me with its sheer size. The 46 pages list the various sushi offerings. There are the usual types, various sets, as well as starters and desserts. The dishes are presented attractively and without frills, which we found very pleasant. There is nothing to complain about in terms of craftsmanship and taste. Combined with the friendly service, it was a harmonious evening.

We spontaneously went there on a Wednesday evening at 9 p.m. without a reservation. We received a very friendly welcome. The menu arrived with a note saying that the kitchen would close after we ordered, and we could order everything at once. That was perfectly fine for us. The food was very good, and the drinks were also excellent. We sat outside under the gazebo. Unfortunately, that corner is often used by ambulances with sirens, so it was quite loud at times. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend a visit.

Pure disappointment – ​​absolutely no sushi! We had high expectations of this restaurant, but unfortunately we were completely disappointed. What we were served as sushi had nothing to do with that at all. They were indefinable, rolled-up “dishes” that tasted more reminiscent of Indian food. Absolutely inedible - we tried two pieces and couldn't eat any more. The behavior of the staff was particularly unpleasant. The chef and a bar employee stood in the kitchen and watched the guests through a slit in the wall. This was extremely disturbing and unpleasant. The service was also unfriendly and you didn't feel welcome. We paid for our meal and left straight away - we've never experienced anything like that. Conclusion: Stay away if you expect real sushi!

My husband and I were passing through and thought we could eat sushi. After ordering, we were served an indefinable rolled-up meal that was reminiscent of Indian Pakistani food. Simply not edible. Very unfriendly and absolutely not recommended. We paid immediately and left everything behind.

Beuel's Destination for Fine Sushi

Enttäuschung pur – absolut kein Sushi! Wir hatten große Erwartungen an dieses Restaurant, wurden aber leider komplett enttäuscht. Das, was uns als Sushi serviert wurde, hatte damit überhaupt nichts zu tun. Es waren undefinierbare, zusammengerollte „Gerichte“, die geschmacklich eher an indisches Essen erinnerten. Absolut ungenießbar – wir haben zwei Stück probiert und konnten nicht mehr weiteressen. Besonders unangenehm war das Verhalten des Personals. Der Koch und ein Mitarbeiter von der Bar standen in der Küche und haben die Gäste durch einen Schlitz in der Wand beobachtet. Das war extrem störend und unangenehm. Auch der Service war unfreundlich, man fühlte sich nicht willkommen. Wir haben unser Essen bezahlt und sind direkt wieder gegangen – so etwas haben wir noch nie erlebt. Fazit: Finger weg, wenn ihr echtes Sushi erwartet

The food was really delicious and the waitresses were also very friendly. Unfortunately, we had an unpleasant experience when we arrived: I was there with a friend and my little daughter, and we wanted to sit at a table with a bench because that's just more comfortable with a small child. A member of staff came straight to us and said the table would be reserved in half an hour. I then asked if we could sit at one of the neighboring tables that were also at the bank - but these were also supposedly reserved. We then sat down at another table out of necessity. The strange thing: Even after more than an hour, no one came to the supposedly reserved seats. Instead, two German guests came, wondered loudly where they should sit, and then simply sat down at the bench - without anyone pointing out that there was a reservation. To be honest, that really disappointed us. The impression was that we might have been treated differently because of my headscarf or the color of my friend's skin - which is a shame. Because of this incident, we decided against tipping, even though the food and service were otherwise good.

Had the spicy squid as a starter which was absolutely perfect. Unfortunately we didn't really like the sushi.

Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was anything but pleasant. When we registered we were treated very unfriendly. We were there with a stroller, but instead of coming towards us, we were rudely asked to move aside. We also noticed that the waiting time varied greatly: we would have only had to wait 10 minutes to order take-away, but if we wanted to eat in the restaurant it suddenly had to be 30 to 45 minutes. It seemed to us as if we simply didn't want guests with children. Another annoyance was that there were three of us and each of us paid separately. Nevertheless, our food was packed together so we couldn't eat in the restaurant as planned. With a small child, we had no choice but to eat on the street - a completely incomprehensible and unprofessional approach. Friendliness and good service should be a given in the catering industry - unfortunately we experienced it completely differently here. Because of this experience we will not visit the restaurant again.

I recently visited Maki Man in Bonn and have to say it was an absolute delight! As a big fan of Asian cuisine, I was excited about the variety and quality this restaurant offers - and it definitely exceeded my expectations. The sushi at Maki Man is simply outstanding. The maki rolls are fresh, perfectly rolled and the rice has just the right consistency. I was particularly impressed by the innovative selection of sushi variations, which combine classic and modern elements. The fresh ingredients and careful preparation are clearly noticeable. In addition to sushi, Maki Man also offers a great selection of poké bowls and ramen, which are also made from fresh ingredients and with great attention to detail. The ramen soup in particular was spicy and aromatic, just like it came from a real Japanese restaurant. If you like something a little more experimental, you should definitely try the Asian tapas - they offer a great mix of different flavors. The atmosphere in the restaurant is modern and cozy at the same time. The staff was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Despite the high number of people, I was served quickly, which made the visit pleasant and relaxed. Maki Man is an absolute highlight for anyone who loves Asian cuisine. The quality of the food, the friendly service and the creative menu make it one of the best Asian restaurants in Bonn. I'll definitely be back - the sushi and ramen are a real treat!

The service staff definitely don't want their job. We were told that the terrace was only open on weekends (there were no more tables available in the store), which was fine with us. As we were about to leave, one of the employees angrily goes out and prepares the terrace, which 15 minutes later “surprise” was completely full. So do you want certain guests there and not others? Are you just too lazy? Completely annoyed faces, disrespectful interactions. The food is always good, but it's no use if your employees are the unfriendly people ever

We would be happy if a Makiman would open in Königswinter (Stieldorf, Oberpleis area). Beautifully designed rooms that convey an authentic Asian flair. The food - both the sushi rolls and the warm chrispy rolls - are very tasty. What is particularly noteworthy is that the kitchen is open plan, so you can watch the fresh preparation. The service is also very courteous and responds to individual requests that are expressed beyond the menu. All in all, the makiman in Beuel is highly recommended, we will come back!!

I order quite often and pick it up myself or go out to eat in a restaurant. Unfortunately, I keep noticing that the sushi has deteriorated greatly in terms of taste and appearance. The wasabi is watery and not as creamy, while the sushi with shrimp has the tails cut away, which makes it so tasty. Even when eating to go, everything is put in the box rather carelessly and the wasabi from the bag is terrible. Makiman was always the best but unfortunately that is history. It's a shame ☹️
