Always delicious. Best sushi in Bonn Unfortunately the quality of the sushi has deteriorated somewhat. There could be more vegetarian sushi.

Absolutely recommended! The food was fresh, super tasty and lovingly prepared. The service was attentive and friendly (especially Dino) - you feel completely at home. I'll definitely be back!

Had the spicy squid as a starter which was absolutely perfect. Soft squid and nice spicy sauce with vegetables.. main was a pic crisp tuna roll.. also very good but not as nice as the starter... next time would opt for the prawn roll.. Very welcoming waiter and a good atmosphere in the restaurant... would recommend to pre book a table as it is very crwoded

Unfortunately we didn't really like the sushi.

Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was anything but pleasant. When we registered we were treated very unfriendly. We were there with a stroller, but instead of coming towards us, we were rudely asked to move aside. We also noticed that the waiting time varied greatly: we would have only had to wait 10 minutes to order take-away, but if we wanted to eat in the restaurant it suddenly had to be 30 to 45 minutes. It seemed to us as if we simply didn't want guests with children. Another annoyance was that there were three of us and each of us paid separately. Nevertheless, our food was packed together so we couldn't eat in the restaurant as planned. With a small child, we had no choice but to eat on the street - a completely incomprehensible and unprofessional approach. Friendliness and good service should be a given in the catering industry - unfortunately we experienced it completely differently here. Because of this experience we will not visit the restaurant again.

I recently visited Maki Man in Bonn and have to say it was an absolute delight! As a big fan of Asian cuisine, I was excited about the variety and quality this restaurant offers - and it definitely exceeded my expectations. The sushi at Maki Man is simply outstanding. The maki rolls are fresh, perfectly rolled and the rice has just the right consistency. I was particularly impressed by the innovative selection of sushi variations, which combine classic and modern elements. The fresh ingredients and careful preparation are clearly noticeable. In addition to sushi, Maki Man also offers a great selection of poké bowls and ramen, which are also made from fresh ingredients and with great attention to detail. The ramen soup in particular was spicy and aromatic, just like it came from a real Japanese restaurant. If you like something a little more experimental, you should definitely try the Asian tapas - they offer a great mix of different flavors. The atmosphere in the restaurant is modern and cozy at the same time. The staff was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Despite the high number of people, I was served quickly, which made the visit pleasant and relaxed. Maki Man is an absolute highlight for anyone who loves Asian cuisine. The quality of the food, the friendly service and the creative menu make it one of the best Asian restaurants in Bonn. I'll definitely be back - the sushi and ramen are a real treat!

The service staff definitely don't want their job. We were told that the terrace was only open on weekends (there were no more tables available in the store), which was fine with us. As we were about to leave, one of the employees angrily goes out and prepares the terrace, which 15 minutes later “surprise” was completely full. So do you want certain guests there and not others? Are you just too lazy? Completely annoyed faces, disrespectful interactions. The food is always good, but it's no use if your employees are the unfriendly people ever

Tastes very good. We had the miso soup and edamame as a starter and delicious sushi as a main course.

Simply great: super friendly and fast service, super tasty sushi. We came here spontaneously (it's better to reserve a table in advance), but we still got a seat. Everything is freshly prepared and handmade - so you should allow a few minutes.

Delicious food, friendly staff. Since the place was full, we had to wait a little longer for dessert. As compensation there was a dumpling and a scoop of ice cream - very customer-oriented 😊

I ate at Makiman in Beuel for the first time on my birthday. Both sushi and other dishes were of the best quality and taste (and so there was something for everyone, regardless of whether they were a sushi fan or not). The vegetarian selection is great, the restaurant is nicely decorated, and on top of that I got a free dessert as a “birthday present”, so the service and service concept is worth highlighting again. We ordered sushi to take away and bibimbap there. It was very tasty and everything is freshly prepared. It took about 10 minutes from ordering to the finished meal. We were very satisfied.

A really good shop. The food is always delicious and the service is extremely friendly! Unfortunately, such shops only exist in large cities. We would be happy if a Makiman would open in Königswinter (Stieldorf, Oberpleis area). So that you don't always have to drive so far and you can quickly pick up or have something delivered! :)) Bonn is a bit overrepresented... 😉 Best regards!

Always happy, great food, waiters incredibly friendly, served quickly and there was also a little panda surprise for my daughter.

Beautifully designed rooms that convey an authentic Asian flair. The food - both the sushi rolls and the warm chrispy rolls - are very tasty. What is particularly noteworthy is that the kitchen is open plan, so you can watch the fresh preparation. The service is also very courteous and responds to individual requests that are expressed beyond the menu. All in all, the makiman in Beuel is highly recommended, we will come back!!

I order quite often and pick it up myself or go out to eat in a restaurant. Unfortunately, I keep noticing that the sushi has deteriorated greatly in terms of taste and appearance. The wasabi is watery and not as creamy, while the sushi with shrimp has the tails cut away, which makes it so tasty. Even when eating to go, everything is put in the box rather carelessly and the wasabi from the bag is terrible. Makiman was always the best but unfortunately that is history. It's a shame ☹️

Das Essen war wie immer gut, aber der Service hat leider sehr abgebaut. Man sitzt über eine halbe Stunde vor seinen leeren Tellern, wird nicht mehr gefragt, ob man etwas trinken möchte und nach langem Warten auf die Rechnung wird einem von der Kellnerin noch nicht mal Auf Wiedersehen gesagt. Traurig, und das bei 5 besetzten Tischen.

The food was absolutely top notch and there was a free portion of edamame for the slightly longer wait. Skewers and sushi really tasty, service top and friendly. Definitely happy to come back.

Apart from the fact that the sushi is tasty but not particularly special, several dishes were simply forgotten, which unfortunately we only discovered at home... Dishes worth €40 that are not delivered later and you have to get them again yourself and there was no response from the restaurant. That's just not possible for this price.

I give it a full 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️; been there for the first time; especially from Schleswig-Holstein! And it was really great with you...everything was perfect, right down to the extremely friendly and attentive service! Thank you very much Maki 3 Team...we'll be back!!! 👍👍👍😋😋😋

Sushi at Makiman gets immer Clear

We celebrated our daughter's birthday here with the family and were completely pampered. The Sushi Scampi Deluxe are particularly recommended. What stands out is the service.

But what really made the experience special was the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. You made our 15th wedding anniversary very special. The sushi doesn't taste good and isn't even cut evenly, there's far too much matcha in the tea. The sashimis are expensive and you get extremely little service. Wouldn't recommend it

Hardly recommended on hot summer days because there is no air conditioning! Almost unbearable indoors and outdoors. The food is expensive but very, very tasty! It's best to have it delivered or come by on slightly colder days. The employees were absolutely rude, unmotivated and ungrateful!!

Food is ok but it was a really long wait. Employees are very friendly but easily overwhelmed and understaffed. There are better and worse stores.

For the first time in this Makiman (usually always at Friedensplatz), visiting on Saturday evening. It was halfway full, but unfortunately this was enough to completely overwhelm the service staff. Orders were taken incorrectly, starters didn't come at all and then came directly with the main course - unfortunately this problem also affected other tables. All the more unfortunate because the staff were otherwise attentive and friendly, not to mention the food, which was of the usual quality. Therefore still 4 stars.

The food is really okay, but if you want really good sushi, you're probably better off going somewhere else. What is not possible is stubbornness and bossiness towards customers. This may pass as an endearing local color in Berlin or at the port of Hamburg (if you like it...!), here it's just unpleasant. Unfortunately, I experienced this for the second time today with the same service person and decided that I didn't need it a third time...

Unfortunately it has now become really expensive.

For several years we enjoyed visiting Makiman in Beuel or ordering take-away food there. However, since ordering and picking up the food yesterday, all I can say is: that was definitely the last time! Unsustainable hygienic condition and the reaction of the staff was a disgrace. I paid the order of €105 and still had to wait a few minutes for the food. So far so good. So I sat at a bar table with a view of the open kitchen and watched a kitchen employee open a box on the floor, unpack it and put the contents inside (packaging material for takeaway food) on the shelf above his workstation. Suddenly this box was on his cutting board, on which his knife and food were also lying. I couldn't believe it at first until the employee placed the second box from the floor on this cutting board. When I asked him about the fact that the floor was dirty because of his shoes and that he was working with food, he just looked at me questioningly and astonished. I tried to explain the situation and the implications of his actions until the waiter said, “I shouldn’t act like that,” after all, “it wasn’t our order that was being prepared there on the cutting board in question.” I replied that this was irrelevant because no guest wants to eat food from a dirty board where a cardboard box from the floor used to be. Then the waiter replied that the kitchen staff probably wouldn't understand me. I asked him to then explain it in his words. In the meantime, the employee cleaned the board. “That means the case is over and I shouldn’t get so upset.” I replied that the board needed to be washed hot, so it had to be put in the dishwasher and that this was a matter for the health department. The only succinct answer was: “They were there recently and had nothing to complain about.” I then canceled my almost finished order and left the store, saying I would inform the health department about this incident. I did this too! This was definitely the last time for us at Makiman! I don't support a restaurant that plays with the health of its guests like that.

Lieferando had sent the wrong order and, after a very friendly phone call, we received generous compensation :)

It's so simply heavenly to eat there 🥘 So delicious. 😋 the selection was perfect, the service was very nice. The food was served quickly.

We were there for the first time on Friday evening and wanted to eat sushi again after several years. The ambience was fine, although a bit dated, and the tables were quite close together. We ordered various dishes such as Makis, California Rolls, Ebi Katsu and Katsudon. Overall the food was okay. Of course sushi tastes better in Düsseldorf, but a direct comparison wouldn't be fair. The only thing worth criticizing is the fact that the Katsudon was lukewarm to cold. Apart from that, we spent a pretty pleasant evening there.

Just as great as the other Makiman places in Bonn! Friendly, quick and everything tasted very good!

Today I went to eat at Makiman in Bonn Beuel for the first time. The sushi was quite ok, value for money was okay. Parking unfortunately catastrophic...

The two of us ate sushi on site for just under €90 including two drinks. The food was beautifully served and the service was very friendly and quick. The food was also served quickly. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the taste of the sushi. We had fried sushi like in the picture. Unfortunately, the sauces obscured the entire taste of the sushi and we unfortunately didn't like the sauces. The starters were good. Unfortunately, my friend only ate one of each sushi because she didn't like it at all. We are much happier elsewhere.

The bowl, which we ordered to pick up, was very tasty and filling. The edamame, on the other hand, were not salted, which is actually essential. The classic sushi rolls were also very tasty, but the crunchy rolls unfortunately tasted like schnitzel, which was definitely not the crunchy you know. Maybe next time we should try it locally instead of picking it up.

Service and serving times were catastrophic, from very bad to not possible at all. Food quality top! Ambience great, toilets smell and are unclean. I have been to Makiman 3 in Bonn Beuel four times since 2015 and to Makiman 1 in downtown Bonn several times. Experience is based primarily on 2-4 people. Once in a group of 8. I had a very bad experience at Makiman 3 in Bonn Beuel since 2023 and (01.03.)2024 in terms of service and the time it took to prepare it. It always takes at least 15 minutes from ordering the drinks to serving them. Usually at least 1st drink is missing and then a complete delivery is only made upon request. I'm talking about water, cola, juice and beer. So nothing unusual. This is not okay! When eating, it takes 1 hour to 1 hour 15 until the main meal is served. In between, the waiters and waitresses don't even show up for 30 minutes to ask if everything is OK or if a drink should be ordered. We still didn't receive the dessert (ice cream) after 35 minutes and then canceled it when we asked. (How long can it take to serve ice cream please, we should wait another 10 minutes, no thanks!) An outrage! Since this experience has been had for the second time since 2023, I will never eat there again. At least there was a 10% discount on the bill for waiting, but that was still my last time at Makiman 3. Maybe something should be changed in the organization and the staff should be increased or trained better. It's a shame because the food is A1.

Terrible On a Friday evening we waited 1.5 hours for our food ONE HOUR AND A HALF WAITING TIME and during this time the waitresses didn't even come to our table or look at us (perhaps because they knew it was an absurdly long wait) So we sat for 1.5 hours without food and with empty glasses

Mit hohen Erwartungen gekommen, leider an einem Tisch mit wahrnehmbaren Toilettengeruch gelandet, die Heizung gedrosselt auf gefühlte 18grad. Der Service bemüht aber völlig überfordert, die Tür wegen Lieferando ständig offen. Das ist kein Gastro Erlebnis. Die Speisen waren tatsächlich sehr gut. Leider hat Makiman sehr verloren.

Always happy, selection satisfactory

I had already heard from many people how good Makiman was and wanted to form my own opinion. What can I say? Everything was right: great sushi restaurant! Food is great, service is spot on and the atmosphere is pleasant! The only thing that didn't work out right away was the parking lot.

Als wir da waren, wurde der Durchgang zum Vorzelt geöffnet. Dadurch wurde es empfindlich kalt. Auch die im Innenraum wartenden Lieferando-Boten tragen nicht unbedingt zu einem gemütlichen Ambiente bei.

Ich kann den Makiman 3 sehr empfehlen. Das essen ist sehr lecker und und das Personal sehr freundlich. Außerdem gibt es eine große Auswahl, auch viel vegetarisches.

Sushi mit Dosenthunfisch, das kannte ich bisher nur vom Discounter. Der rohe Fisch schmeckte nach nix. Also, da fahre ich lieber nach Düsseldorf zum Japaner.
