Tasty sushi made with care. Located conveniently right next to University of Bonn. I was here with some colleagues. The taste was just right, and the service very welcoming. I just wish the portions were a bit bigger, with more fish inside the rolls. They seem to have decent lunch deals.

Totally thrilled. Eating gluten-free is no problem there. They seem very informed about what to look out for and are also extremely prepared. The employees are extremely nice. The food is also super tasty and fresh.

Ich war skeptisch, in eine Sushi-Bar zu gehen, die ich nicht kenne, denn wir haben zu Hause eine sehr gute Adresse, aber meine Tochter hat mich überredet. Wir haben uns also von der Karte 2 schöne Menüs ausgewählt und bekamen dann für 44 € (inkl. Mineralwasser und Bitter Lemon) ein hervorragendes Sushi, dass wirklich frisch und sehr lecker schmeckte und ….das sogar um einiges günstiger war, als das Sushi, dass wir sonst bei uns zu Hause von der Sushi- Bar holen. Und da gibt es keine leckere Suppe vorweg! Die Bedienung war super nett, freundlich und bemüht. Und weil es uns dort so gut gefallen hat, sind wir an 3 von 4 Abenden dort essen gegangen :-). Für uns steht fest, sind wir wieder mal in Bonn, werden wir auf jeden Fall noch einmal dort essen gehen.

We've eaten sushi in a few places around the world, but the best sushi is at Ichiban Sushibar in Bonn. We always go to Bonn and enjoy the food in a friendly atmosphere. We always feel welcome. We always have Sake Nanban and Hyashi Wakame as a starter, which is a real treat.

A cozy, small sushi restaurant with very nice service. Prices are reasonable for fresh sushi. Always my pleasure!

It was a very good decision to have dinner here: super friendly staff, delicious sushi (also good value for money), cozy dining area. It's not the nicest restaurant in terms of decor, but it's still clean and inviting.

I lived in Bonn three years ago and was a regular customer at Ichiban Restaurant. Now, after three years, I returned and was very excited to visit Ichiban again and dine there with my husband. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the quality of the food, particularly the tuna and salmon. It was no longer as fresh as before, had a bad color and an unpleasant smell. It was a shame to see that the quality had deteriorated so much. Do not recommend.

Nothing can be said against the quality of the food. But the prices are clearly excessive. I eat at Japanese restaurants regularly and found the quantity and price not to be right here. Why does a small bottle of water cost over 5 EUR? I initially asked if it was blessed by a priest, but it wasn't. The ambience of the restaurant is at the lower end of the Scala. The tables are small, the chairs uncomfortable and the interior suggests that this was once a boutique, but certainly not a restaurant. No, I'm definitely not coming back.

It was okay. 23€ for 24 sushis and a drink isn't expensive, but it wasn't filling at all. Compared to other sushi bars, the food was very bland. If it's your first time eating sushi, it's okay, but not recommended if you want to eat good sushi.

It was my first time eating sushi and I was a bit overwhelmed by the menu. I would have liked the service person to help me and perhaps introduce me to the kitchen. Instead, people just shook their heads - along the lines of “what are you even doing here?” That started well. So I just felt very uncomfortable. When you try out a new cuisine, you move out of your comfort zone. It was the same with the fact that I didn't watch a tutorial on how to eat with chopsticks. When I asked if they could give me a fork if necessary, the response was again very rude. When I wanted to pay, the amount was approximately 52 and I then said 56 before the lady typed in 60. Want an 8 euro tip for the service? Whether she misheard or did it on purpose, I have no idea. The fact that I tipped at all is a lot. The food was delicious, but the ambience and furnishings were cool, which was only topped by the unfriendliness of the service staff. Total gatekeeping at this point. Well then, no sushi.

High quality sushi. Portions comparatively small. Ambience rather cool, tables relatively close together and noisy. Recommended food but no place to linger longer in comfort.

Nice little shop with very friendly staff. Furnishings simple but comfortable. Food was delicious. Toilets and the way there, a bit adventurous.

There is a curtain hanging here that reminds me of an animal testing laboratory, then you sit on elementary school chairs and the color of the walls reminds me of a psychiatric hospital. The bowls for the soy sauce were not clean, the menu is very unprofessional, there is no salt in the soup… The wasabi dried out and what was ordered didn't arrive + the chopsticks are, well, cheap (taste like wood)

We've been eating sushi here for years because we still thought it was the best sushi bar in Bonn. Today we took “Osaka” twice and “San Shyok” once to make our son happy. To cut a long story short: we were very disappointed. The quality of the sushi didn't stand out from what you can now get in every other supermarket. The rice was dry and didn't seem like real sushi rice, at least not the good quality kind. Some of the nori sheets were also dry and stuck in your mouth. The friendly service, as always, doesn't make up for that. We would have been better off investing the almost 60 euros somewhere else. Very unfortunate.

Update: thanks so much for taking comments into account and being open about it. I was referring with “lacking” that sushi for me wasn’t delicious in general unfortunately. I don’t know how this could be possible with fresh ingredients, maybe the ingredients were just not tasty enough to my taste. Thank you!✨ The sushi tasted completely fresh! However, the taste was very lacking. We also tried baked salmon and miso soup as starters and they were very tasty. Service and atmosphere are the one of the best I have ever experienced!

Hey, mit Sicherheit der beste Sushitempel in Bonn. Hinter dem Tresen agiert ein wahrer Künstler. Es macht schon Freude, den Meister beim tranchieren eines Fisches zu beobachten. Dass der Fisch absolut frisch ist, bedarf keiner weiteren Erwähnung. Ich finde übrigens auch die Preise vollkommen angemessen.

Einfaches Sushi für einen recht günstigen Preis und einer guten Qulität!!😊 Ich gehe dort sehr gerne hin, die Kellner sind sehr nett und es gibt keine langen Wartezeiten. Die Toiletten sind auch recht sauber. Es hat eine angenehme Atmosphäre , da muss ich zugeben dass ich immer sehr gerne lieber draußen sitze als drinnen. Sehr empfehlenswert wenn man auf einfaches Sushi Lust hat und nicht alzu große Erwartungen, als wäre es ein 5 Sterne Restaurant. ^~^

Ich bin hier regelmäßig mit meiner Freundin essen :) Das Sushi ist was Preisleistung angeht wirklich Top. Das Sushi hat eine wirklich gute Qualität und der Laden ist sehr sauber. Gerade im Sommer sitzt man auch wirklich sehr gut Draußen und kann sich über ein angenehm ruhiges Ambiente erfreuen, mitten in Bonn. Das Personal wirkt überhaupt nicht hektisch - und arbeitet doch sehr zügig & ist sehr freundlich. Für mich ein sehr simples Restaurant - aber doch ein Restaurant zu dem ich gerne immer wieder hingehe. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Einer meiner liebsten Sushi-Restaurants. Das Ambiente ist schlicht, aber sehr gemütlich. Der Service ist unwahrscheinlich aufmerksam und dermaßen freundlich. Es wäre so schön, wenn in jedem Restaurant so liebenswerte und freundliche Menschen, wie hier, arbeiten würde. Beispiel: Ich war heute mit meiner Mutter hier zum Essen. Meine Mama war "leicht" überfordert mit den Stäbchen. 😅 eine der beiden Kellnerin hat sofort "Kinderstäbchen" gebracht, womit meine Mutter perfekt zurecht kam. Das Sushi war seeeeehhhhrrrr lecker und FRISCH! Mein Fazit: Die Ichiban ist ein MUSS für jeden Suhi-Liebhaber!

Das Mittagsmenü ist sehr empfehlenswert, sowohl in der Qualität, als auch im Preis-Leistungsverhältnis 😀 Ganz klare Empfehlung. Seit Jahren halten die Inhaber eine hohe Qualität ein.

Mein Lieblings-Sushi-Restaurant. Fantastisches Sushi. Alles auf der Karte schmeckt immer frisch und die Qualität ist überragend. Ich besuche dieses Restaurant seit über 12 Jahren. Mittlerweile wohne ich in Frankfurt und fahre extra nach Bonn um hier zu essen. Tipp für Genießer: Sake Nanban, Maguro Moriawase und als Nachtisch das Matcha und Rote Bohnen Eis.

Ich kehre hier seit mehr als 15 Jahren in Bonn ein, wenn ich Sushi essen möchte. Seit dieser Zeit immer gleichbleibend sehr hohe Qualität des Sushi, angenehmer, zurückhaltender und zuvorkommender Service sowie nettes Ambiente!

Sehr empfehlenswert wenn man auf die Qualität der Produkte achtet!

Eine große Auswahl an Sushi, das auch super lecker schmeckt, gibt es hier zu fairen Preisen. Schön ruhig neben der Uni gelegen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und das Essen wird immer frisch zubereitet, trotzdem geht es schnell.

Ich war am 28. Februar dort. Besonders freundlichen und netten Arbeiter und Arbeiterinnen. Atmosphäre war sehr original, positiv, traditionell und echt japanisch. Speisekarte hat große Vielfalt und Preise waren sehr gut. Ich vorschlage jeder um mindestens einmal diese tolle Sushibar probieren und sie sind nicht nur Profi in Sushi sondern in traditionellen Japanische Heißgetränke.

Die männliche Bedienung war zu Beginn leider sehr unfreundlich - als es um die Rechnung ging, wurde er dann sehr nett. Das Essen war frisch. Derngrüne Algensalat lecker. Leider fielen die Sushi schnell auseinander, es gab nichts mit Hühnchen oder Tempura, was ich sehr schade fand. Die Sushi auf dem Brett fand ich etwas lieblos. Unsere Cola war ohne Kohlensäure und an das bestellte Wasser musste erinnert werden Die Stühle oder Bänke sind normal aus Holz, hart, der Raum ist hell und es war ziemlich laut und damit nicht wirklich gemütlich. Schade, es war ein Tipp von Bonnern...

Köstliches, vielfältiges Sushi von großartiger Qualität. Das Personal ist mit Herz und Spaß am Werk und das Ambiente ist authentisch und gemütlich. Ich kann und will mir kein besseres Sushi-Restaurant in Bonn vorstellen! Kein anderes Restaurant bewirkt jedes Mal wieder solche Freude bei mir. Ichiban ist mein Happy Place! 🍣❤️

Wenig kreative Sushi Varianten / Sushi sehr trocken und sehr hoher Reisanteil. Ambiente wie in einer etwas besseren Imbissbude / 2 Sterne gibt es lediglich wegen der freundlichen Bedingungen. Schade!

I tried my first Sushi here. This Place will always be remembered, lol. The ambience is great and the Service was awesome. They were polite and had the patience to explain a New Bee like me. Food tastes good and place is tidy.

Unaufgeregter und freundlicher Service, absolut leckeres Essen, die Inneneinrichtung ist eher spartanisch und lädt leider nicht zum längeren Verweilen ein. Immer wieder eine gute Idee nach einem Arbeitstag, Arzttermin oder Bummel. Klare Empfehlung!

Sushi ohne Schnörkel in Top-Qualität. So soll es sein. Zur PrimeTime ist es in der Gruppe und ohne Reservierung manchmal Glückssache einen Tisch zu ergattern. Ordert man zum Mitnehmen am Telefon vor, wird das Sushi zuverlässig wie bestellt bestens für die Heimreise verpackt. Wir kommen schon seit Jahren immer wieder.

Heute bin ich zum ersten Mal bei Ichiban gewesen und es war definitiv nicht das letzte Mal. Alles war perfekt, Atmosphäre, das Essen und der sehr nette Service von allen Mitarbeitern. Ich war bis jetzt nicht in allen Sushi Restaurants in Bonn aber ich glaube ich werde kaum ein besseres finden. Vielen Dank für den netten Abend. Ich komme gerne wieder.
