Very attentive and friendly service, ambiance okay. The daily special of fried shrimp was nicely presented, but the portion was modest and looked a bit lost on the – beautiful – oversized plate. Major criticism: the shrimp weren't peeled! Because of the breading, the shells weren't visible, and I only felt them when chewing. Therefore, only three stars.

The Thai food is very good. We like to come here occasionally. The dishes are flavorful and always freshly prepared. The menu doesn't offer the largest selection, but it's sufficient. The sushi menu, on the other hand, is quite extensive. The service has always been very friendly. The prices are reasonable. We'll be happy to come back. Parking is a bit scarce in the city.

The service is very polite and courteous. You feel noticed! Four weeks ago, we visited the new restaurant on Waldstrasse for the first time. The food and service were top-notch. The ambiance inside isn't really my favorite, as it's a walk-through, meaning the restaurant is set up like a tube inside, where you sit at the side, and the waiters constantly run past you to get food from the kitchen and serve it. The restrooms are also right on the side. My restaurant of choice is definitely on Yorkstrasse 🤚👍😃😊

I recently discovered this beautiful restaurant and have already eaten here twice. The atmosphere is fantastic; I feel extremely comfortable and happy every time. It's like an oasis of well-being. Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent service, and everything was served quickly. I had a bouquet of flowers in my hand, and they gave me a vase without even asking – very thoughtful. Thank you so much. The food tastes DELICIOUS, no matter which dish I order (I usually order a starter, main course, and dessert), and I swap my partner's meal as well… – everything is excellent. The drinks, especially the various sodas, are also great. Be sure to try them. The restrooms are also clean and tidy. Definitely my favorite restaurant in KA and definitely deserves 5 stars 🌟

I ate here and ordered the "Vịt Xoài" – duck with mango – and was pleasantly surprised: The skin was beautifully crispy, the meat was juicy, and the sauce had a pleasant balance of sweetness and acidity. Together with the vegetables, everything remained nice and fresh and not greasy. The portion was generous and perfectly filling with rice. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was unpretentious and clean.

The location and service are very good. The food was tasteless, the pasta was bland, the draft beer was warm and stale, probably a night watchman; we expected something better. It was quiet, as there were few customers.

Extremely fast (it felt like ten minutes for a two-person sushi platter), very tasty, and the service was motivated, dedicated, but not intrusive. A special request (no chicken roll for the two-person "Rock 'n' Roll" sushi menu, but one with tuna instead) was accommodated for an additional charge (one euro more, just like for the individual rolls on the menu). The portion size, drink prices, and ambiance could be improved, as the restaurant was very crowded. However, since this all happened on a Monday evening during prime time, the positive impressions clearly outweigh the negative ones. Thank you so much for this almost perfect evening!

For me, this is one of the best Asian restaurants in Karlsruhe. Great ambiance, friendly staff, and excellent cuisine with culinary delights. The menu offers traditional Asian cuisine and outstanding sushi. The preparation is always a feast for the eyes. During peak times, make sure to reserve for groups; there's almost always a spot available for two people.

Very nice exterior decor. The interior is pleasantly unobtrusive. The five tempura rolls and mango salad were very good in my opinion. The value for money was okay. Drinks, like everywhere else, were too expensive. Friendly service.

Super delicious food, kudos to the kitchen! :) Service was extremely poor. The appetizer plates were slammed in a pile in front of one of us at a table of four, and someone else kept coming, no one asked for new drinks, nothing. It's just a shame, given the ambiance and the amazing food. It's really annoying.

Good, but the size of the sushi is a bit small.

A truly disappointing experience. After the summer rolls as an appetizer, we had to wait over an hour for the main course – our drinks were long gone, and we weren't even asked once. For the main course, we had curry with chicken (which looked more like a breaded Wiener schnitzel), roast beef with rice noodles in a sweet and sour sauce that strongly resembled a ready-made sauce from the supermarket, and crunchy rolls. The latter tasted okay, but couldn't save the overall experience. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos, but at €77 for two people, what we got was simply unacceptable – neither in terms of service nor the quality of the food. I wouldn't recommend it.

The restaurant has a nice ambience and albeit a noisy atmosphere, it’s unique to the area and we enjoyed that. We had high expectations for food but it was quite average in terms of taste and nothing special really. Service was great but feels a tad rushed. Briefly, I’ll definitely visit again but I’ll try a different dish as we still enjoyed our time.

In average, a good restaurant. Good food, good atmosphere. The waiter give you the feeling, you are there to eat quickly, pay, and go. They asked us (within 5 Minutes) more than 4 times, what would we have to have for lunch. They didn't even notice, that we didn't have time to read the menu; they didn't notice, we were there with 3 Kids. If you just want to have good food, go there. If you need a more personal experience with asian restaurants and a friendly stuff, this is the wronge place.

I've been eating here regularly since the beginning and can honestly recommend the restaurant to anyone. Everything always tastes fresh and the service is always very friendly. Reservations don't always work out 100%, and sometimes you have to wait, but we've even gotten free drinks for them. Absolutely fantastic!

Maison Tom This Vietnamese restaurant is located in the western part of Karlsruhe. The restaurant is beautifully decorated in a variety of styles. Modern yet traditional. The furnishings are of very high quality. Really, really beautiful...you feel completely at home here. The food was very, very good...and not just in terms of taste, but also in terms of appearance and freshness. The service is also very good; a nice, wonderful family runs the restaurant. We came on the recommendation of our neighbors and were very positively surprised. The yellow windows on the outside give you no idea how beautiful and cozy modern it is inside! Very nice, quick service and (most importantly) very tasty fresh food! We had the highly recommended Maison Tom Beef plate with fresh mango carrot, coriander, peanuts and lots of spices and herbs. Very subtle spiciness and buttery tender meat. A clear recommendation, because holiday memories were immediately awakened! We also had a “My Favorite” sushi selection that was just as well received! The rice was perfectly seasoned and the fish was fresh and tender. The presentation of the dishes is thoughtful and tasteful. We'll be happy to come back soon to explore the rest of the map. When it's warmer you can also try out the beer garden on Sophien Strasse. We had a reservation for 7 p.m. last night but we still had to wait a long time for a table to become available for us. Many other people around us were in the same situation. The staff were visibly very stressed and no more personal contact could be established. Once seated, the menu took a long time to arrive. There were four of us, two of us were served a long time before the other two. We had a rather industrial atmosphere, served on a chain basis. Our empty plates were already served even though some of us had not finished eating, and without a word or apology from the staff. Despite all this, the dishes were good and plentiful.

We had reservation for 7pm. By 7.30pm we still didn’t get a table and there was complete chaos with 20+ people waiting who all had reserved. Staff was unfriendly and stressed. We left.

I ate at Maison Tom for the first time last night. The food was fantastically tasty and the service was extremely friendly and incredibly fast. Thumbs up for the restaurant, it is definitely worth recommending to anyone who likes light, tasty Asian food. I'd love to come back

When it comes to sushi: yes! When it comes to Vietnamese food: think 2-3 times

I actually liked going to Maison Tom. But now it's just mass production. The restaurant is so full of guests that you're almost sitting in the plates of the guests at the neighboring table. You can also notice it in the food: quantity instead of quality. When you're almost finished eating, you're constantly asked if you want anything else. You feel pressured to pay and leave so that the table can be filled again as quickly as possible. The last two times I was there, the wrong food and drinks were constantly brought to the table. Here you are probably overwhelmed by the many guests. It's a shame, it used to be very nice, but mass production is just not my thing. I recommend that you get the invoice on paper and check it before paying. For me, the last two times it was just small things that were overcharged, but even small things are a no-go. But all the employees are friendly without exception!

I have to say, my mango salad was really good, but I didn't like the sushi at all. It was fried sushi with salmon that was very mushy and very soft underneath. It was a green puree that I didn't like at all. Otherwise the service was good. Only the sushi disappointed me.

The atmosphere was nice and the service was attentive, but unfortunately I was a bit disappointed with the food as we went there with very high expectations. Especially since it is very hyped everywhere. Unfortunately there was only "fried" sushi and the starter plate was all fried too long and therefore very hard. It was ok, but unfortunately I can't go with 4.5 stars.

Ordering by phone is an absolute disaster... Please stop combining letters and numbers. Just take numbers. Everything is fresh, but the portion is quite small for Asian cuisine. At least with the noodles. Price/performance doesn't fit at all

I really loved the place the sushi was at the top! I still want to visit it. the only negative comments I would make is that the tables are really close to each other, the ones next to us were like sitting with us they kept looking at our dishes, being so close we felt uncomfortable, it would be nice if there was more space between the tables. unless the staff is friendly and I look forward to coming back.

Never again. First of all the service wasn't good. We had to wait a very long time for our food while other customers were already being served. Then our food was served. Unfortunately, I decided to order the coconut curry with chicken breast. The taste was okay, but really nothing special. Afterwards I went home, fell asleep, and woke up in the morning with bad nausea. I vomited for over 12 hours and also had diarrhea. The food at Maison Tom is nothing special, and it also gives you food poisoning. It is doubtful whether the quality of the food there is really that good (as the Maison Tom team also mentions). The emphasis here is on quantity rather than quality. That's why I can't recommend Maison Tom at all.

I was here for the first time this week and was immediately impressed. The atmosphere is very pleasant and cozy, the waiters are always available and very friendly and the food is inexpensive, well prepared and tasty. So overall, highly recommended!

🔥 🔥 🔥 Caution! OUTRAGEOUS + DISGUSTING for €600! IMAGINE BEING ASKED TO CLEAR THE TABLE FOR THE NEXT GUESTS IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOUR DINNER! And that even though the table was reserved for weeks. They came right after our dessert and cleared away our dishes including drinks. WITHOUT ASKING! We were simply dismissed. The next paying customer had to be screwed too. They just want to make quick sales. Like factory workers. AND THE TOILETS ARE DISGUSTING UNDERGROUND AND IT STINKS INTO THE DINING ROOM. In which restaurant would I want to pay for such hospitality? We'll never go there again. We've been all over the world, but we've never seen anything like this in a diner, let alone a restaurant. It seems to be normal here? We also wanted to drink cocktails. It was our salon's late Christmas dinner. INCREDIBLE! I would prefer to give them negative points here.

Auf Nachfrage ob man sich da nicht verrechnet habe kommen sehr freche Antworten in kaum verständlicher Sprache. Als Gast fühle ich mich da einfach nur abgezockt und schlecht behandelt. Service underground with long waiting times. The Riesling spritzer 0.2 is charged at €13.90!! When asked whether they hadn't miscalculated, they received very cheeky answers in language that was barely understandable. As a guest I just feel ripped off and treated badly. Once - never again!

The ambiance is a very nice restaurant. The service was great. Very friendly and accommodating. My sushi was good to very good, but there's better sushi in Karlsruhe. Some of it not far away. 😉 I'm complaining at a high level, though. Sushi Menu #4 is a bargain and delicious. My girlfriend's crunchy chicken was also very tasty. Her special request (no wild herbs) was accommodated free of charge. All in all, a well-rounded visit, and we'd be happy to come back. 4.5 stars would be fair, but unfortunately that's not possible. So I've rounded it up to 5 stars. 🤭

Super delicious food. Very nice service. We had summer rolls with tofu and the gyozas as starters. Everything was beautifully prepared and very tasty. The staff were very attentive and nice without being intrusive. I asked for a recommendation and was recommended H1 as the main course (beef with mango and carrot strips with salad and rice). The salad had apples and the sweetness gave the whole thing a fantastic taste. Even with the meat, everything was very well coordinated and harmonious. My companion had E4 (Pho Curry). She seemed to like it too. There was delicious ginger tea with fresh ingredients and honey to drink. The only drawback was that it was a bit cold in the room, but there was a blanket at every seat so it was very cozy and tasty in the end. Any time:)

The food was excellent, but: we had received a voucher from friends and wanted to redeem it. Since we didn't have a receipt, we were told we couldn't redeem the voucher, even though the owner admitted it was his signature. We only get credited once we show the receipt. It's a shame, because we won't be eating there again.

We've always loved going to Maison Tom, but unfortunately, we've had two disappointing experiences this time in a row, so we're not going back. We were asked if we wanted some extra sushi, which was apparently ordered incorrectly or not picked up. After a brief consideration, as we had just finished our meal, we accepted it. We were billed in full at the end, which we would have accepted. But when we were then pressured to pay for this "extra sushi" in cash, it seemed very strange. We didn't have any cash with us, so it was added to the bill as a tip. A very strange move...

This was our second time here - the first time everything was really great. Now the opposite, you no longer seem to need any service. We reserved a table - we got a table that wasn't set and the lamps didn't work. Other tables that are set with lights remain empty the entire time. Temperature in the restaurant? 17 degrees. Ice cold, the children are freezing all the time, totally uncomfortable, blankets hanging on every chair - supposedly a heating problem, but that already existed 3 weeks ago... a colleague told me today. Is it even allowed not to heat a restaurant? Last time there was great dry ice fog - nothing this time. Food was ok. Sushi was good, I got my lukewarm noodle soup for €16.90 better for less money in other Asian restaurants in Ka. The non-alcoholic drink required by law to be cheaper than alcohol? I didn't find it. So families are being ripped off. By the way, there are lollipops at the counter, last time the children got some too, but unfortunately none this time. We don't come anymore, apparently the opening of the second branch means it's no longer important here, or there's no money for heating, or in any case they don't want any more customers. Nobody understands why there are car rims in the men's toilet. Otherwise it is very nicely decorated. By the way, if you tip a manageable amount according to the service, you will also be looked at stupidly.
