Amazingly delicious food and great service. I'd happily come back again.

I wouldn't eat fish here. Today's Mediterranean sea bream was not good at all. It was swimming in fat, the bottom fillet was mushy and tasted only of garlic, simply not prepared well. I love eating and cooking fish, but it just wasn't right. Too bad, the other dishes looked passable. Update: The owner tried to have the review deleted, which speaks volumes.

The roulade was too good to photograph... I had to eat it right away. I thought it was delicious and will definitely go back! The service was friendly and attentive ❣️ I'm full and happy 🥰

The food was very good, both in terms of taste and portion size. The service could have been a bit more attentive, but it was generally good. The ambiance was fine. Outdoors, and pleasantly airy.

We like going to the Mainhaus. The cooking here is down-to-earth and very good. You should definitely treat yourself to the fish offers on the menu. The service is fast and courteous and also fulfills special requests. You can also go here with larger groups. Nevertheless, you should always register. I make small compromises when it comes to the ambience. But I'm not in a posh restaurant either. In summer there are many covered outdoor spaces. There are enough parking spaces available. However, you have to be careful where you step because of the many potholes.

Easy to reach by car, but also easy to miss. A small inn surrounded by greenery. The front view of the building initially put me off a bit, but walking around the building helps. A lovely shady outdoor area with lots of greenery. The staff is friendly and quick. The food... Wow. From their own cool creations of Franconian cuisine to classics, they have it all. And they're absolutely delicious, too. I've lived here in Würzburg for eight years now and I'm a little sorry I only visited this first time. Highly recommended

A little hidden away and not particularly charming from the outside, but as soon as you turn the corner, you find yourself in a wonderful, shady, covered outdoor area. The interior is also pleasantly cool and beautifully decorated. The food is exceptionally delicious, with a standard menu and a seasonal weekly menu. Traditional German cooking. The portions are absolutely generous. The service is friendly and fast. There is ample parking nearby (100 meters) and directly in front of the restaurant.

Absolutely fantastic. I wasn't expecting anything; it looked a bit messy in the parking lot, and it wasn't exactly a visual highlight... BUT the food was fantastic! The service was impeccable 🤌🏻 nothing to complain about.

Today I was in the Main House with my brother. The first impression was fine: the service was friendly, the atmosphere pleasant. We were particularly looking forward to a fresh, high-quality salad – a light but appealing meal. We are aware that salads are no longer the cheapest option on most menus. But we are willing to pay a little more for quality, freshness and an appropriate portion. We chose the gourmet salad – an auspicious name – with chicken breast strips, apple slices, ginger croutons and honey mustard dressing. The price of €13.50 seemed reasonable to us for a rich and lovingly prepared dish. But what came to the table was simply disappointing: a small side salad bowl with three chicken breast strips on top and three half slices of toasted bread each. Honestly, that doesn't work. For this price you definitely expect more - be it in the portion size, the presentation or the side dish. Toast may be appropriate in some situations, but in a dish called “gourmet salad,” it seems out of place and unloving. Less is sometimes more, yes, but not at a price of €13.50 and this portion size. The taste of the salad was okay, but the size of the portion and the side dish really disappointed us. We agreed: We absolutely cannot recommend this gourmet salad at this price. I'm really sorry to have to give such a review, but we were simply disappointed. And if anyone is wondering why we didn't say anything on site: Honestly - as a restaurateur you should notice something like that yourself. It wasn't a star restaurant where you expect smaller portions, but a down-to-earth restaurant where we expected reasonable value for money.

Very good service and delicious food

The short version is: Franconian cuisine at a high level at reasonable prices - an excellent, friendly and jokey service staff - alternating beer delicacies - a wonderful place for connoisseurs! The food is a pleasure for all the senses. Not only good taste, but also a delicious look and seductive smell make it an irresistible temptation. The selection is large, there is something for every taste. Reasonably priced, every euro is well invested in freshness, quality and good craftsmanship. The restaurant is located in the middle of the countryside on the natural healing island directly on an oxbow lake on the Main. In summer it's wonderful to sit outside and enjoy the coolness in the fresh air with a delicious cold drink. The interiors may not be the ultimate in style, but they also give the Main House its own distinctive character. Beer drinkers and friends of high-quality spirits will get their money's worth here. There are always changing regional beers in addition to the standard beers on the menu (which are all of regional origin!). Spirits from the House of Fine Brandies from Randersacker are served: they are well known to connoisseurs because they regularly receive awards at tastings. What impressed me most every time I visited was the friendly warmth of the staff and the boss. It's really rare to experience something like that! It's completely okay if at some point you are made emphatically, but still friendly and with a smile, that it's almost the end of the working day. And it is done on time (and rightly so!).

Today a guest in the Main House. Visit with our regulars' table. Drink selection very good. Price ok. The boss brought us the drinks and was friendly. Eating Franconian bratwurst with bread, well. As a Frank, I would say "That was nothing" The taste of the 3 sausages is not Franconian, as you know them. Onion cake was ok. Homemade pumpkin pasta with porcini mushrooms works well. Come again.

Always love the best food there

Food was great, service could be faster and there were lots of bees in the tents outside, where lemon candles could help and also contribute to the ambience.

Yesterday I ate the specialty "suckling pig", it was super good, sensational crust and delicious sauce and I even got both crispy ears, the best thing about the whole piglet... Very nice service from Anja and everyone was very happy with their food Nice menu, prices ok and quality is great We'd love to come back

The food is outstanding! The selection is very good! A well-selected weekly menu is also offered. Absolutely convinced by the taste and the size of the portions. The three of us had the wedding dinner, beef cheeks, Burgundy roast and, as a starter, the delicious liver dumpling soup. 5 stars! Unfortunately, tables are a bit too low for tall people.

Really good Franconian inn. We had chanterelles with noodles and roast water buffalo with dumplings, both really good. Friendly staff and really good cuisine.

We wanted to eat something on Sunday August 18, 24 at 6 p.m. We were turned away and didn't have anything to eat because they were going on vacation from Monday. Very bad, but at first the boss said there was nothing available but there were 6 guests because the rest was free

We only knew the Schnitzel-Häusle and were a bit skeptical at first, but we were very positively surprised: fast service, delicious Franconian cuisine and very reasonable prices!

Four of us went there for dinner today. I had meatballs that tasted good but were really tiny. They looked really lost on my plate. And sauce with my dish would have been great too. It was already pretty dry. I wouldn't order it again now. Service was friendly, just a bit confusing at times. But I would also like to add that the other people enjoyed it wonderfully. And we will definitely come back again.

The food is so delicious, we go there regularly and have never been disappointed. It always works out that we all get our food together at the table. The staff is very attentive, e.g. drinks, dessert, espresso... The boss and the staff are always friendly. If you're upset about the opening times, you're welcome to take on this job where people sit forever and you don't have a regular closing time as staff (see review by a woman from Kram). By the way, these opening hours have been in place in Austria for 15 years and what can I say, it works and you can find staff there too. The opening times are also listed on the restaurant's website (if you can read, you're clearly at an advantage!!!!) My friends and I can only give a good rating. Keep it up 😉

The Main River flows through both sides of the Main Haus. The small restaurant with less than 10 tables in total is bustling with people and has many local regular patrons. The roasted part of the pork knuckle is very fragrant, and the meat inside is more woody. It can be eaten when cut into small pieces and dipped in the sauce. The potato balls taste like glutinous rice balls, with a bit of meat filling, which I personally don't like. Seven people ate four portions of pork knuckle, and most of the potato balls were left.

The food was great and the service was friendly. We had the liver dumpling soup as a starter, the homemade cone noodles and cabbage rolls from the weekly menu as the main course and chocolate mousse to finish. Everything tasted excellent.

Absolutely fresh and delicious food. The place is very inconspicuous, the ambience may not be the most beautiful/modern, but the food here is convincing. We often come here with friends and relatives or as a couple and there has never been anything to complain about and everyone has always enjoyed it.

The food was good, the service was very friendly and the waiting times weren't too long. Parking spaces are available in front of the inn, but you should wear sturdy shoes in the rain or snow 😬.

Were there on Monday after a funeral. It opened for us at 1 p.m. without any problems. Very nice host and great service. Thank you very much...the food was very, very good. Everyone was super happy. Ich hatte Ochsenbäckchen in Soße mit Knödel. Beides hat mir sehr Gut geschmeckt.

Wir hatten vier verschiedene Essen, drei davon waren gut, eines leider etwas versalzen (Ochsenbäckchen). Mussten leider etwas lange auf das Essen warten, sonst alles ok. Lautstärke im vollen Gastraum schon sehr anstrengend.

Alle 4 vegetarischen Gerichte sind absolut Hammer mässig , wir waren alle sehr begeistert .

Klassisch fränkisches Essen mit einer guten Auswahl und einer sehr netten Bedienung.

Solide fränkische Küche mit einem besonders leckerem schäufele. Preis-Leistung absolut top. Netter Service rundet es ab.

Sehr schöne Gaststätte am Main gelegen. Sehr leckeres Essen. Bedienung sehr nett und sehr freundlich. Kann man nur weiter Empfehlen! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall auch wieder mal.

Was nützt ein gutes Essen, wenn man um 21 Uhr rausgeschmissen wird? Das ist mir dort schon das zweite Mal passiert. Waren auf goldener Hochzeitsfeier und uns wurde bei der Reservierung versichert, dass Sitzenbleiben bis 22 Uhr kein Problem wäre. Herr Budig hat bei seinen Öffnungszeiten den für ihn wichtigen Hinweis bis 21 Uhr vergessen. Er verkauft seine Getränke bis kurz vor 21 Uhr und fordert seine Gäste dann auf doch zum Ende zu kommen. Also Bier, Wein, Aperol Spritz oder was auch immer ex und hopp. Die Terrasse hat auch keinen Biergarten Flair mehr, weil alles überdacht ist. Eine Beleuchtung jeglicher Art fehlt auch, klar da sollte ja dann auch jeder Gast gehen. Ich bin noch in keinem Lokal so behandelt worden. Wer einen gemütlichen Sommerabend verbringen will, ist hier völlig fehl am Platz!!!

Ich hatte Schäufele bestellt. Kruste war knusprig Soße mit Klösen war auch sehr lecker. Krautsalat war nicht so mein Geschmack. Die anderen Essen waren auch gut und für den Preis absolut ok. Das Ambiente ist jetzt nicht gerade mein Fall aber würde trotzdem wiederkommen wenn ich in der Nähe bin. Bedienung war nett. Danke

Steckerlfisch total trocken, vermutlich nicht frisch gegrillt. Kartoffeln im Kartoffelsalat schmecken alt. Zwetschgenkuchen mit halb flüssigem Boden.

Auf der Durchreise. Bei den Rezessionen haben wir gedacht: So viele Menschen können sich nicht irren. Wir wurden schon stutzig, als wir sahen, dass es sich um ein Vereinsheim handelt. Schäufele zu lang im Ofen, kleine Portion, Schwarzbier hat die Sosse nie gesehen, Klösse aus der Tüte, Krautsalat aus dem grossen Fertigeimer, Wein lecker Fazit: sie geben sich viel Mühe. Von Freunden für Freunde. Es war OK

Mit eines der besten Preisleistungsverhältnisse. Meine Frau und ich sind fast jeden Monat dort. Wir hatten noch nie etwas zu bemängeln. Wir kommen weiterhin immer wieder gerne vorbei, solange es von den Eheleuten Budig geführt wird.

Ein bisschen schwierig zu finden. Hat sich aber gelohnt . ehrliche Küche, bodenständig mit sehr zivilen Preisen. Hab's schon in der Familie weiterempfohlen
