We came here by chance to fill a waiting time. We were thrilled with the breakfast menu and ordered farmer's toast. Topped once with salmon and once with scrambled eggs and bacon. To our surprise, there was a selection of antipasti on the plate. The service was very friendly. We sat in the beautiful beer garden. We would love to come back.

Went here today for the breakfast buffet and unfortunately it was a disappointing experience for me. Since I travel a lot and therefore have a comprehensive comparison, the P/L was not good for me. Thanks to the great ambience and the friendly staff, there is huge potential for improvement. Examples: overcooked rice pudding, only 2 types of cold cuts (salami and cooked ham), no choice of cheese (Camenbert, Brie, etc.), only a glass of juice included, only scrambled eggs (no boiled or other ice cream dishes), etc. As always, it is purely subjective and I can only recommend the management to visit the Vielnois in South Tyrol. There you get to know the “final boss” when it comes to the breakfast buffet. Wish you all the best for the future.

The waitress kept coming by and asking if everything was OK and if we wanted anything else. We were outside and there was a lot to do. The staff had to go up and down the stairs very often. Despite everything, everyone always has a smile for the guests. We had dinner this evening. The food was very tasty and plentiful. There were four of us and everyone was very happy. We had 3 different meals. Everything looked very tasty. The price-performance ratio is also okay.

Once a magazine - never again! Nice service at the table, but the boss is the definition of rude. (Dark hair, strict bun up) It doesn't seem to matter whether guests come back or not. If you could give 0 stars, I wouldn't even give one.

Once and never again! The boss's disrespect and impudence was absolutely disgusting! There were 11 of us in total for breakfast with under 5 children. Children aged 10 and over pay the full price here! €21.50!!! The price includes coffee/tea and just 1 glass of juice! The 10-year-old child who logically doesn't drink coffee doesn't even get a Kaba unless we order the Kaba and pay for it! Another child who was there is 8 years old and got a headache on the way to the magazine (52 km journey) and therefore didn't eat ANYTHING! €2 is charged per year of life! That means €16 for a child who hasn't eaten anything. The boss's statement: "He should just eat something!" For a boss who runs a company, you should actually show some empathy and goodwill. I would have thought half the price would be appropriate here. But according to the boss, she doesn't care, he can eat and should just eat something! The service itself was very polite and nice, but the boss was by far the most rude person we have ever met in a restaurant. Here you notice that children are not welcome with the boss, otherwise you would have reacted differently. If anyone wants to have breakfast here, then you should be sure that children are not really welcome here!

The Magazine in Landau is a nice and cozy restaurant. Nice ambience. Delicious food! Good price-performance ratio. I can absolutely recommend it (5 stars)

I often meet up with friends there. It's always really okay and the service is courteous and pleasantly nice. Salad house dressing is delicious, the leaves of the salad could be cut a little smaller.

We've been to the magazine many times, always with 10-12 people in summer or winter, the food was always very tasty, even if you had to wait longer at times, so it came to the whole table at the same time. Yesterday, however, the experience was different. Reserved for 10 people, set outside. We were there at 6:30 p.m. and an electric guitarist was getting ready to sing on the middle level. The music was good, but way too loud, you could only talk while screaming. That lasted until 10:30 p.m. We waited 90 minutes for the food. My order of calamari with lemon aioli, buttermilk dressing, baguette and salad for 18.50 euros was very tasty, except it was a mountain of salad with 6 rings of squid and 3 narrow slices of bread. I've never woken up hungry after a meal, but I did here. Mind you, the menu didn't say salad with calamari, but rather calamari with salad. Goods value about 3 euros EKP. I found that to be a rip-off. A sizeable cordon bleu with fried potatoes costs the same, but was a filling portion, as my companion confirmed. Conclusion. I don't know whether we will come here again with our group - despite the nice service, who bought us a coffee as "compensation".

Seit das Magazine 2018 unter der Leitung von Familie Furtwängler eröffnet wurde, sind wir regelmäßig gerne da. Ich habe immer das freudige Gefühl, gerne Willkommen zu sein. Das Ambiente, die Atmosphäre, die gesamte Speisekarte und in erster Linie das gesamte Team harmoniert miteinander. Im Februar 2024 hatten wir zum Geburtstag meiner Frau ins Magazine eingeladen. Familienangehörige und Freunde waren vollauf zufrieden und bestens versorgt. DANKE an das gesamte Team, es war ein schöner gelungener Abend. Were here for the second time today. The food tastes absolutely delicious. You can tell that the food is homemade. The price-performance ratio and the portion sizes were absolutely the same. It's been a long time since I've been here and I'm thrilled! Staff more than friendly, prices ok, food very delicious (especially the gyro pan), finely prepared, great location. Completely satisfied!!!!

We had the salad with chicken strips. Plates are beautifully arranged. For me personally it could have been a little more. But it was ok, fresh and tasted good. I would order the salad again and can recommend it. Unfortunately, the wine spritzer with Weisherbst tasted watery. Either too much water or I'm just used to better wine. But overall good.

The food takes far too long, even though the restaurant wasn't even full, I waited more than 45 minutes for my schnitzel. It probably had to be freshly slaughtered.

We went for breakfast brunch on Sunday. The buffet was well stocked and was constantly being refilled. The service was very nice and attentive. The ambience is great. The baked rolls alone detract from the enjoyment a little.

This hotel has an amazing ambiance and everything. But the food I had, which was crunchy chicken , I wasn't very happy about. Even my friend who ordered curry Wurst, felt the flavours weren't up to the level and he even compared it to the KIT campus one. But the dessert was amazing and we enjoyed it. As for the conclusion or verdict, we had veg pizza , crunchy chicken burger and others. The four star is because of the service, ambiance and the dessert but not the food. Anyways guys enjoy. Sorry for not posting the dish images.

My first time in Landau in the magazine and I was thrilled. Friendly, attentive and competent staff as well as delicious and reasonably priced food made the evening with friends an experience. The ambience is spacious and very pleasant with the vaulted cellar and niche-like seating. You don't necessarily have to listen to the conversation of the person sitting next to you.😉 The staff gives the impression that the team is happy. The menu is clear, which I personally find particularly good if you expect freshly prepared dishes. The ordered dishes arrived at the same time after a reasonable waiting time, were beautifully presented, in sufficient portions and simply delicious. Our waitress stopped by every now and then to check that everything was going well, so we were able to order drinks and dessert quickly. It was a great evening. The restaurant is absolutely recommended.

There are very tasty cocktails here and the food tastes very good too. The waiters are very nice. It's also very comfortable to sit in and you don't have the feeling that people are walking around all the time

If the group harmonizes and the location is right, then it can only be a beautiful evening. There were 7 of us, booked online in good time by colleagues, assigned a nice corner and the evening could begin. Drinks flowed, the service was really good and attentive... And the food was tasty too. I've eaten better pizza but the one I ordered was OK too. Everything is right in terms of price. It's not overpriced and the performance is good. I am positively surprised by the restaurant and certainly worth a new visit. It is certainly very beautiful in summer too.

Waren zum Frühstück dort. Pro Person etwa 20.50 Euro, das ist die Sache auch wert. Gute Auswahl am Buffet, Kaffee wir immer nachgebracht, dazu ein Glas Orangensaft ist im Preis mit drin. Ambiente sehr einladend, Personal sehr freundlich. Da geht man gerne mal wieder hin!

Waren zum Sonntagsbuffet dort. War alles wunderbar, das Essen hat sehr lecker geschmeckt!

Sehr schönes Etablissement! Nach anscheinend recht bewegter Geschichte ist das "Magazin" nun endlich wieder da angekommen, wo es hingehört: auf dem festen Lieblingsrestaurantplan! Ich war zum Brunch (wegen der Uhrzeit - es heisst aber offiziell Frühstück!) dort (macht lieber ne Resevierung!!) es war schön voll. Das Buffet liefert spannendes, Bäbodenständiges und typisch deutschen Aufschnitt - also eigentlich für jeden was. Komme bestimmt wieder!

Ganz tolles Frühstücksbuffet. Super Ambiente. Sehr sehr freundliches, liebes und nettes Personal. Wir kommen wieder.

Sonntags brunch ,war zwar alles da aber die Qualität der Speisen lässt zu wünschen übrig. Für über 20€ pro Person und noch nicht mal ein Cappuccino oder latte wo man sich aussuchen konnte für den Preis, gab es nur Filter Kaffee ( wasser Brühe)wo nicht genießbar war. Der Preis ist nicht gerechtfertigt! War sehr enttäuscht, Einmal und nie wieder !

Wir hatten einen Tisch für 25 Personen gebucht. Für manche Lokale eine Herausforderung. Aber im Magazin mussten wir nicht lange auf unsere Getränke warten. Auch das Essen kam für so eine große Gruppe schnell an den Tisch. Die Gerichte waren vorzüglich. Jeder von uns lobte seine gewählte Speise. Der Schafskäse war besonders delikat. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend und werden definitiv wiederkommen.

Sehr nettes Personal, für mich persönlich war aber leider die Deko ein bisschen Fantasielos, wie in einem Dekoladen, aus so einem tollen Gewölbe kann man sicher etwas romantischeres machen aber das ist sicher Geschmackssache:)

Saßen bei bestem Wetter draußen, und konnten der Livemusik lauschen. Sehr gutes Essen, schönes Ambiente und ein schneller und sehr freundlicher Service. An der Barrierefreiheit miss aber noch gearbeitet werden. Die Fahrradrampen sind für Rollstuhlfahrer nicht nutzbar.

Wir waren letzte Woche im Magazin zum frühstücken. Die Bedienung hat uns freundlich begrüßt und gefragt wo wir sitzen möchten. Wir haben uns bei dem schönen Wetter für draußen entschieden. Frühstück unter der Woche ist a la carte. Ich habe mich fürs Landauer Frühstück entschieden und meine Freundin fürs Bauernbrot mit Lachs. Beides war reichlich und schön angerichtet. Wenn man sich wie ich glutenfrei ernähren muss, darf man sich nach Rücksprache sein eigenes Brötchen/Brot, was auch immer mitbringen. Ich habe mich rundum wohlgefühlt, vielen lieben Dank!

We were out and about looking for somewhere to eat on a Sunday in Landau, not realising that most places were closed. Magazine looked inviting, a bit studenty from the outside. Once in, we were pleasantly surprised by the range on the menu, all tastes satisfied. The service first class and our waiter spoke excellent English which helped, given our poor German. Excellent find

Alles wunderbar. Wir waren an einem Dienstag gegen 18 Uhr. Es war nicht viel los. Hat sich aber im Laufe der Zeit gefüllt. Wir wurden empfangen, Bedienung kam schnell um nach Getränken und Essensbestellung zu fragen. Essen war top. Es ist für jeden etwas dabei. Preis-Leistung ist super! Und ich habe ne außergewöhnliche „Pizza“ mit Bretzelteig gegessen, mit Lachs. Schmeckt mega. Der Salat könnte etwas mehr Dressing haben. Aber war ansonsten auch sehr lecker.

Sehr lecker Salate mit eigenem Dressing welches separat an den Tisch gebracht wird, so kann sich jeder individuell seinen Salat würzen. Immer wieder wechselnde Montaskarten mit regionalen und saisonalen Produkten. Macht weiter so!
