M. Volk in Grebenhain

Waren gestern auf der Durchreise mit dem Wohnmobil dort. Alles Prima ! Das Essen war super gut und sehr reichlich. Die Bedienungen alle sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir waren bestimmt nicht das letzte mal dort. Kann man wirklich weiter empfehlen. Macht bitte so weiter. Gruß Matthias und Anja

Herzlicher Empfang, tolles Ambiente und sehr leckeres Essen! Individuelle Wünsche wurden erfüllt (ohne Aufpreis!). Wir sind auf unserer Fahrradtour 2x dort eingekehrt. Ich habe einen Ring auf dem Tisch liegen gelassen und das erst viel später bemerkt. Habe mich telefonisch gemeldet.Ich hatte wenig Hoffnung dass dieser gefunden wird. 2 Tage später erhielt ich den Anruf von Herrn Volk dass der Ring gefunden wurde und mir per Post zugestellt wird. Heute ist er angekommen. Ich bin sehr dankbar dass es noch so ehrliche Menschen gibt!

Der Besuch war an Pfingstmontag. Ich habe selten solch überforderte Servicekräfte gesehen, wie dort. Wir haben ca. 40 Minuten darauf gewartet den (reservierten) Tisch zu bekommen. Dann stand dieser immer noch mit den benutzen Gläsern und Besteck voll. Bis dieser abgeräumt war, dauerte es nochmal eine ganze Weile. Bis die erste Getränke-Bestellung am Tisch war, dauerte es ebenfalls lange. Und statt sich um die anderen Tische, die ebenfalls nicht mehr besetzt, aber noch voll standen, zu kümmern, haben die Servicekräfte mehrmals an einem Tisch gesessen und geraucht.. und das nicht mal eben schnell Eine zwischendurch… da hätte ich gar nichts dagegen, jeder muss mal kurz runterfahren. Aber das war ganz gemütlich und immer mehrfach während unseres Aufenthaltes. Ich fand das richtig unverschämt. Da kam auch niemand zwischendurch mal an unseren Tisch und fragte, „darf es noch was sein?“. Garnichts.. wenn, immer nur auf Zuruf. Wäre das Essen nicht wirklich sehr lecker gewesen, hätte ich nichts positives zum Schreiben gehabt. Ja es war Feiertag und ja, ich hätte verstanden wenn das Lokal sehr voll gewesen wäre. Doch das war es zu dem Zeitpunkt nicht. Wirklich schade. Ich bin wirklich nicht pingelig, aber das war nicht schön.

Wir waren nach einem Ausflug hier essen und ich muss ehrlich sagen: Das Gesamtpaket überzeugt völlig. ​Das Essen: Super lecker, absolut reichlich und preis-leistungsmäßig wirklich hervorragend. Hier wird man definitiv satt, ohne dass es den Geldbeutel sprengt. ​Der Service: Die Bedienung war ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es wurde im Laufe des Abends immer wieder aufmerksam nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist – top! ​Das Ambiente: Der Biergarten ist okay. Nicht absolut überragend, aber absolut solide und völlig in Ordnung für ein gemütliches Ausklang nach einem Ausflug. ​Fazit: Wer ehrliche, leckere Küche zu einem wirklich fairen Preis sucht, macht hier absolut nichts falsch. Empfehlenswert!

Der Biergarten ist ganz schön, alles Andere hat uns leider nicht gefallen. Die Bedienungen schienen schon mit wenigen Tischen extrem überfordert zu sein und gingen unfreundlich mit uns um. Das Essen war auch nicht überzeugend und dafür nicht gerade günstig. Nicht zu empfehlen.

Hier wird das Essen noch mit Liebe gemacht. Die Bedienung ist Super.

Gutes Essen und guter Service, klare Empfehlung!

Wir waren vor ein paar Wochen spontan dort, tolles Essen und eine wunderbare Bedienung. Tolle Beratung für ein leckeres Essen und immer stets Aufmerksame, wenn es um den Nachschub für die Versorgung mit Getränken ging. Das Essen war einfach spitze, besonders das Irish Stew ein Gedicht, viel Lammfleisch und ein Geschmack der im Gedächtnis blieb. Immer wieder gerne werden wir dort Essen gehen, danke der ganzen Belegschaft für einen wunderschönen Abend.

Ein uriges Lokal mit freundlichem Service und super gutes Essen welches frisch vom Chef zubereitet wird.

Super und urige Gaststätte ! Sehr familiär , herzlich und warm. Das Essen war wirklich unschlagbar lecker, wir haben lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen, wie in diesem Lokal. Mein Mann sagt : „Der beste Spanferkelbraten seit 30 Jahren !“ Der Service war top , das Essen kam zügig , sowie die Getränke. Wirklich nur zu empfehlen ! Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

Service zum Teil leider unbeholfen und nicht professionell. Speisen eher durchschnittlich. Wer es in Bezug und Küche und Ambiente rustikal mag wird sich hier wohlfühlen.

Hervorragend. Wirhatten eine Gans gegessen, wirklich überragend.

Schön eingerichteter Landgasthof mit einem gemütlichen Flair. Wir haben hier als Familie zu Mittag gegessen. Hacksteak, Hähnchenschnitzel, Gyros.. alle Speisen perfekt zubereitet, sehr gut gewürzt. Die freundliche Bedienung hat uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt und selbst die Küche war bereit meinem Sohn sein Essen glutenfrei zuzubereiten. Preis-Leistung geht mehr als In Ordnung. Kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Älteres Ambiente. Sehr guter und netter Service, gehen auf Wünsche und Allergien ein. Glutenfreies Essen macht der Koch möglich. Soßen sind meist Glutenfrei. Schöne Events die Angeboten werden. Passend am Radweg für einen Spaziergang vorher oder nachher.

Stopped here for the third time on a bike tour, and the food was always good. Friendly, fast service. Nice garden tables in the green, but the traffic is quite loud. Chair cushions for sore cyclists' bottoms would be welcome. Nevertheless, we'd be happy to come back.

The Kaiserschmarrn was good; the drinks selection was excellent. The best part: the medicine: an ice-cold "Vogelsberger Geist" (Vogelsberg spirit) and the e-bike charging station right outside. => highly recommended.

We arrived here in beautiful cycling weather, received friendly advice and service in no time, and my wild boar brawn was delicious. Unfortunately, there was only one cake. So we'll get that somewhere else, but otherwise, five stars, everything was perfect. Thanks for the good rest.

We were there with a group for a Bud Spencer evening. A cozy beer garden. A cool light beer on tap. The food was reasonably priced. The taste was good. But the event that evening was a disappointment for me. I had expected more. The movies started at 9 p.m....until then, I just sat there 🤷‍♂️ (from about 7 p.m. onward), no 🎶 or anything. The service was 👍

Last weekend, four of us went to "Bud Spencer Night." It was an event that charged admission. What was offered that evening was, without exaggeration, abysmal. Three hours of truly miserable musical performance that had nothing to do with the theme of the day. Although all of the approximately 50 guests complained after just 15 minutes, the performance continued until the bitter end. At the end, a film was shown. I'm truly disappointed. I feel cheated by the admission price. I only give it one star because otherwise, the performance wouldn't have been tasted.

The food was delicious. The frozen cocktail was something new. The service was very friendly.

Everything was great! The beer garden, behind a "wall" of logs and under a roof of green leaves and a tent cone, invites you to stop by and enjoy the delicious food. German-Vogelsberg culinary traditions are alive here. Beautiful beer garden with a nice atmosphere

A long time ago, I once had a very good meal at this place; I hope today's very poor lunch was an exception. There were four of us and we chose four different dishes to assess a potential wedding meal. The salad was OK, but the slight refrigerator smell from prolonged storage was a minor flaw. The baked schnitzel was visually a disaster, with cranberry jam smeared on the surface and burnt Camembert slices... According to my son, the taste wasn't great either (and he's hard to disappoint when it comes to schnitzel). The baked sweet potato casserole was served in ramekins that sat in the sauce on the plate, not so good! The grilled dish, my choice, was also unconvincing; the meat was tough, and the sauce for the baked potato was heavy on mayonnaise. A less fatty, delicious spring quark would have been delicious here. Preparing fish is not easy; it was too dry, and the portion was too small for my husband for the price. We were most disappointed by the overall appearance of the plates 🙄 But one plus point: very friendly service! We're having the wedding dinner at a different restaurant, but we'll come back again; perhaps today was a (Pentecost) Monday production.

I can recommend it to anyone who is passing by or nearby. Good food and portions like at mom's. Service is friendly and attentive. I will be back on my way back.

Three of us had lunch here. We sat in the beer garden because the weather was nice. The service was very nice, but it took ages for her to come back to the table to clear the dishes or ask if we wanted something else to drink. Asking for the bill was also very difficult; she took ages to come out of her hiding place. And no, it wasn't busy. The food was okay, although I don't think of a large salad as anything other than just lettuce, a tomato, and four wafer-thin slices of carrot. The asparagus soup was very buttery and not very asparagus-like😏 It's a shame, they could do more with this place.

Happy to come here with family and 2 children. Nice ambience. Food is always good. Sometimes I also cycle up the volcano cycle path.

I recently ate there, the staff is friendly and quick. However, the meal didn't work at all, the asparagus was overcooked and the schnitzel was so tiny that I thought about eating some more bread at home. The breading on the schnitzel was full of fat and not crispy.

The salad wasn't washed, but the rest was perfect. really.

Vacation in Hesse and it is a must to stop at the Tor zum Vogelsberg restaurant. Everything is just right here, from the staff to the ambience, from the boss who has an open ear for everyone, as well as the food that he prepares himself and freshly.
