We were there spontaneously with my parents. Feel-good atmosphere. Very tasty food. At the end, the boss sat down at our table for a moment and said goodbye to us with a handshake. Where else does something like that exist? Ouzo on the house. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back.

Pastizio (Greek pasta bake) is not on the menu, today as an additional offer. Top, top, top... Best Pastizio in decades, plus Retsina Kechribari. A lovely time at Lux, very friendly service, Efcharistó!

I had veal liver, mashed potatoes (1 spoonful from the bag) and a mini salad dressed only with balsamic vinegar. After eating I was hungrier than before.

We were warmly welcomed, experienced very attentive service and would eat there again at any time.

We were here again in December 24 for the first time in a long time and were very enthusiastic, so we are here again today (January). Very tasty food and super nice, courteous staff. We will definitely come back again.

I haven't experienced such friendly and courteous service in a long time. From the boss to the waiters, it's just a dream. Were there on New Year's Eve and it was a very nice evening with very tasty food. Thank you very much for that and a happy successful year 2025.

Everything just fits here! Service very accommodating, cozy atmosphere, very friendly boss and incredibly delicious food. The various tapas and the rump steak are particularly recommended. We'd love to come back, keep it up!

Wow. I have to think about it all again... but I don't know what to write. Of course, I would never write anything bad... Owners who cannot handle constructive, honest and verifiable criticism would have bad reviews deleted immediately. So open your eyes... That obviously doesn't seem to be the case here with so many great reviews. So I can really recommend this restaurant...everyone has their own experience.

Very cozy restaurant right in the center of Hattingen. I had dinner in Lux with my wife today and I have to say that I was very surprised by the many grilled dishes. Our special requests were also taken into account and the staff was very friendly despite the full restaurant. The boss recommended a great wine to us ;) thank you very much for the service

We had a lovely evening for two in the Lux restaurant. You should reserve here in advance, even during the week. The service was exceptionally courteous. The food was also very good, this was also confirmed by our neighbors at the table. The restaurant was full, but the atmosphere there was still very cozy. At a later hour it was also possible to have a very nice conversation with the service.

I had the sheep's cheese, which I had ordered as a side dish for €8, packed up. This was served cold and I didn't like it. Made hot today in the HLF. That was very tasty. But that's not the point of going out to eat. Oh yes, very important. Never put it at the very back in the right corner. We kept smelling the smell of the toilet behind it. Very unpleasant.

On Friday, the four of us quickly got a table at rush hour. Even without a reservation, all employees were very cooperative. Service friendly and quick. Food extremely tasty and really inexpensive for the quality. Perfect for a nice evening with family or friends. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely come by again.

The soup was ok. Very tasteful. But the main course was nothing. Fried potatoes. Armchair with mushrooms. Which I haven't seen. And 8 pieces of shredded pork. I waited over 30 minutes for the soup and another for the main course. The waitress apologized several times. But the boss or waiter was very unfriendly and arrogant. Wanted to have lunch in the restaurant with a group of 50 people in the summer. I think I'll look for something else. Good thing I tested it.

Went there for dinner today, it was my brother-in-law's birthday, just like the last visit a few weeks ago, everything was great, the food was great as always, very friendly staff and despite it being full there wasn't too long of a wait! Unfortunately not recommended, small expensive portion, poor quality meat and calamari, waited over an hour for the food!!!! On a Sunday at 4:30 p.m. Mini starter salad 2 leaves divided with 1/4 tomato and 1 slice of cucumber. This really gets better!

The vegetable casserole consisted of frozen vegetables with white ready-made sauce from the bag; there was no sign or taste of the gratinated cheese. Really bad!

Hattingen really has a lot of restaurants to offer and we first thought about where to go. Because of the choice of food, we chose the Lux and were rewarded with a very tasty meal! The service is very good and the sea bream (grilled, once on vegetables and once with salad) tasted wonderful! There are also tapas, meat dishes, salads and more. The ambience is very appealing and the price-performance ratio is okay. If we're in the area again, we'll be happy to come back. By the way, the old town of Hattingen is very beautiful! Lunch is their unique selling point. For just under 10 euros you get a generous selection of dishes with good service at lunchtime. The portion size was manageable, but I didn't miss anything about the quality. The restaurant is stylishly furnished and has real wooden floors. Located directly at the iron house.

Beautiful terrace in the heart of Hattingen which is also easy to reach with a wheelchair. When it comes to choosing, it's difficult to decide but everything was good.

The free bread with the dip as a starter was good. We sat outside. The chairs were too low in relation to the tables, but I think the tables are too high. It was very good to sit outside. The salad was the best! Dressed with vinegar, super tasty. Rarely have I had such a great dressing. The fries were also good, or they are called chips there. Delicious and nice and salty. However, the amount of fries was too little! Please don't skimp on the chips, they don't cost that much. I ordered 3 medallions, pork, beef and lamb! Grade 1 for the pork, super juicy and delicious. The bone-in lamb was OK and the beef could have been a little more tender. It was OK, but nothing more! The prices were just OK. 1.50 higher than average, that's my feeling. Overall, we weren't 100% convinced, but we were satisfied. The restaurant has earned 4.1 to 4.2 stars. We would definitely recommend the restaurant. By the way, my wife had a sea bream. The sea bream itself was very tasty.

Nach dem Einkaufsbummel sehr schön draußen gesessen. Zwei mal Saganaki und eine Fischsuppe gegessen. Das Saganaki kam sehr gut an und die Fischsuppe ein Gedicht. Die beste Fischsuppe seit langem. Wer Fischsuppe mag, es lohnt sich echt.

It's a really nice restaurant in terms of atmosphere. The waiters are friendly and not intrusive and the prices are moderate. However, the portions are so small that two of us were still hungry afterwards and that's not the point when you go out to eat. That's why we won't go there anymore.

The food and service were very, very good. The restaurant was full, but unfortunately the group at the next table was so extremely loud and inconsiderate that normal conversation was not possible.

Wir haben hier Sonntag Abend ein paar Tapas gegessen. Freundliche Bedienung, nettes Ambiente. Die "Weihnachtsmusik" hätte allerdings dezenter sein können, die war eher störend. Da gibt es unaufdringlichere Musik. Das Essen war wirklich gut, allerdings fast 50 Minuten auf das Essen gewartet.

Ein unvergesslicher Abend mit dem wohl dem leckersten Essen das man erwarten konnte. Service sehr zuvorkommend , freundlich und aufmerksam. Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend.

Habe heute im Lux die beste Pasta seit Jahren gegessen: Sehr fein zubereitet, exellent abgestimmt, perfekte Konsistenz. War definitiv ein Träumchen! Und dazu ein absolut toller Service!!! Supergerne wieder 😃!

Ein rundum perfektes Tapas Abendessen mit viel Abwechslung auf dem Teller. Sehr herzlicher Empfang, tolles Ambiente, super leckeres und frisches Essen. Am besten hat uns der sehr gute und aufmerksame Service gefallen - das hat man heutzutage nicht mehr so oft. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Ich bin ein Fan. Waren 2x dort, Service ist super, das Essen ist toll. Ich bin ja absoluter Fan vom Beilagensalat (yummi) und den Zucchinipuffern. Aber auch die Fleischgerichte und Soßen scheinen sehr lecker zu sein (laut Begleitern). Daumen hoch 👍
