Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my meal. I opted for the only vegetarian appetizer and main course options. The apple and pumpkin cream soup, while palatable, had the consistency of baby food. With the main course, I understood why the soup was so thick. It reappeared as the "sauce" for the pumpkin tortelloni. As a result, the tortelloni tasted identical to the appetizer. The goat cheese flavor was completely lost, and the caramelized walnuts were simply dusted onto the plate. When I told the server it was a shame that both dishes tasted the same, there was no noticeable reaction.

Since I can't comment on the rooms, I haven't rated them. We happened to be there last week. The location is fantastic. The service was good and very friendly. That's not something you see every day. We got cake straight from the oven—how fresh could you want that? And it was delicious! 😋

We celebrated our wedding here two years ago, and everything was truly wonderful. The team is very friendly, and the surroundings are absolutely enchanting when the sun is shining. It does sometimes smell like horse manure in the countryside... but we actually find that quite pleasant. For my birthday, the table was beautifully set, and the breakfast was more than ample. We'd love to come back again! 🌟

Booked for a milestone birthday in September, service was not very attentive. Missing water glasses that weren't replenished, an endless wait for the food, no response to hand signals, and the food was mediocre at best. It's unacceptable when it's known that a birthday is being celebrated and you're left hanging like this. Definitely not recommended for parties.

We only visited the restaurant for dinner and were very satisfied. The service staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. Unfortunately, the Rhineland-style mussels were served without a spoon for the mussel broth, and the mayonnaise we ordered was only served after we asked for it! While these are things that are noticeable, they can certainly happen in the general hustle and bustle of a busy restaurant. The dishes we ordered were very tasty, and we'll definitely be back again.

Nice, private hotel in beautiful surroundings

The hotel is located on a busy road. It's a good place for cyclists 🚴‍♀️ 🚴‍♂️ to eat and drink. But also for all other visitors 😋 Furthermore, the hotel/restaurant is an event venue 🙃🥳 When we were there over the weekend, there were events every day. Our room was directly above the terrace and also faced the street 🙉🙈. If you're sensitive to noise, you should mention it to the beech tree and book a room facing the stables with the horses 🐎 🐎 🐎 🐎. Since the hotel is directly adjacent to a stud farm and a lake, ALL windows have fly screens. 😃👍👍👍 We checked our breakfast preferences 🍇🧀🍳☕️🧀🥐 on an order form upon arrival, and it was served freshly prepared just for us 😀 by a very friendly and efficient lady. The advantage: not so much is wasted 👍🙃 The rooms are reached via stairs, so your joints should still be able to handle the climb, and thus the hotel is not wheelchair accessible. The room itself was very large, tidy, and clean, and there was also a refrigerator 👍. The bathroom had a large, walk-in shower 🚿 and a large sink. Everything was very clean. Towels and even washcloths 🙃 were provided. The hotel is 🐕 friendly; the dog 🐕 is even allowed for breakfast. Venlo is very easy to reach from this hotel. Duisburg is a 45-minute drive away by country road. The entire surrounding area is ideal for exploring by bike 🚲, bus 🚙, or even on foot. For us, it was a short break in the countryside, quickly reached 👍🙃🐎❤️🌞. Thanks to the people who work in the hotel and restaurant. ❤️ Greetings from Duisburg 💕🐕👍

We wanted to eat at the restaurant yesterday around 6 p.m. Several tables in the beer garden were unoccupied. After 20 minutes of ignorance from the waiter, a second waiter came over and asked us if we had a reservation. We had to say no. It was made absolutely clear to us that we couldn't stay seated without a reservation. Unlike the staff, we politely declined the offer to move to the dining room. Marking the tables as reserved would have spared us this unpleasant experience. We don't plan on stopping by spontaneously in the future.

Simply amazing! The Lüthe Mühle is a beautiful place with a great atmosphere, warm hospitality, and excellent food. You immediately feel at home and welcome. Highly recommended – I'll definitely be back! Kevin Todam, the manager, is super friendly and takes excellent care of his guests.

The food was excellent, and we'd be happy to return. However, I have to deduct one star because the restaurant only had two vegetarian main courses to choose from, compared to easily 20 meat and fish options. I think these days, in addition to the meat and fish options, you should also have a vegetarian main course page.

We were introduced to the summer special "Tapas Food" through a newspaper advertisement. Unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. The ambiance and the wonderfully cold drinks were really very good, and the service staff were very, very friendly. However, as mentioned, the tapas were a real disappointment and not worth the money. Anyone who truly knows and enjoys tapas won't be happy here, and anyone else will get the wrong impression of these actually very delicious delicacies. What a shame...

We were there on a Sunday. Table at 6:00 p.m. Ordered at 6:20 p.m. Food arrived at 7:45 p.m. after asking twice. The food was delicious. No complaints from the seven of us. Everyone thought it was great. Unfortunately, the service was lacking, and they managed to keep us waiting for a drink. Constantly calling for drinks is unacceptable. And the long wait for the food. It's a shame. They were friendly and nice, but unfortunately not on the ball. We'd love to come back, but we'll ask around beforehand to see if the service and waiting times for food have improved. Besides, there are other great restaurants around here. Every restaurant thrives on good food, and especially good service. There's still room for improvement.👍

I was there on a Tuesday. The restaurant and beer garden were packed. The service staff and kitchen were completely overwhelmed. After a two-hour wait, there was still no food on the table, and we were still waiting for our first drinks. We left. The staff didn't give us any warning at the beginning that we could expect longer waits. They could have reacted quickly. All in all, it was a complete failure for our birthday party. Never again.

Unfortunately, it's just average. I'd heard they had good schnitzels here, but unfortunately, it was just fried, run-of-the-mill food, and the service was only semi-friendly. It's a shame, because the restaurant is in a really nice location and has a great outdoor area.

The food and drinks are quite overpriced, and the quality is mediocre. The tapas come in mini portions, and everything is counted. For example, four prawns for €12.95.

After being there several times during the Spanish Weeks last year, we were really looking forward to this year's Spanish Weeks!! We were there on Tuesday with four people, and had three tapas and one paella. Last year it was great, this year it was terrible!!! The tapas plate was minimalist, cheap "fillers": potatoes, mushrooms, grilled peppers,... A friend mentioned it and was given bacon-wrapped dates, but we weren't 🤷 The paella was tiny!!! When we asked/complained, we were told that there were only two people in the kitchen!! So what? We still had to pay the full price!! They offered me a coffee... I can't drink that at 8 p.m.!! Then water... my bottle was still half full!! I have no idea what's going wrong this year 🤷, but I don't recommend it!!!! Furthermore, the chairs outside were terribly uncomfortable, not suitable for sitting for long periods of time.

Great atmosphere, terrible food! We were there for dinner with four people. The high prices are one thing, but you get the corresponding quality and quantity, which unfortunately isn't the case here. The tapas plate for €27.90 is outrageous. The cheapest food is "processed": in the middle, a few drowned lettuce leaves, two cocktail tomatoes, two mushrooms, a few olives, two small pieces of cheese, three small grilled peppers, three sun-dried tomatoes, a small bowl of aioli and spicy pasta (definitely not homemade!)... I ordered the tapas plate (normally with chicken, bacon-wrapped dates, etc., prawns, anchovies, etc.). None of it was on the plate! After complaining to the waitress, I received a small separate plate a few minutes later with two prawns and about 10 anchovies! The other tapas plates were equally meager and poorly stocked. The paella was substandard, and the portion was so small that it wouldn't even feed one person (€26.50). The waitress explained the lack of ingredients and the small portions by saying they unfortunately only had two chefs in the kitchen, which meant they were too busy! What kind of explanation is that? I should inform the guest in advance and only charge half price if the quality and quantity don't live up to the otherwise apparently high standards. It didn't help that the waitress offered us a free espresso/coffee as compensation.

Such a beautiful location, yet such poor service, disastrous food, and exorbitant prices. The dreamy ambiance is no help when the overpriced (very thin) asparagus arrives completely overcooked, just after the bread. It's better the second time around, but ultimately, the overall experience is nothing but disappointment. We'll see how long the guests can bear it...

We were in the garden for a drink. We ordered a large beer and a Diet Coke. They gave me the choice between Zero and Light. I also ordered a glass of hot tap water because I needed to drink a medicinal tea I had with me. The waiter, Mr. Müller, brought me a Zero Coke, contrary to my order. When he asked if he could exchange it, I declined; he didn't have to go all the way and exchange the drink. Unfortunately, this was not appreciated in any way, as I discovered when I finally got the bill... The same waiter charged a cheeky €3.20 for the glass of hot water. The same price as a regular drink. He was completely unsympathetic to my question/complaint. It's perfectly clear that I'm paying for it. €1.50 or €2 for tap water would certainly have been a good price. I've received it for free elsewhere as a sign of customer service. If I'd known, I would have saved the tip. This was the last time we were here. @owner: Your response is low-brow and shows that you unfortunately neither understand nor are able to accept criticism.

One night with 9 people! Very nice location! Beautiful rooms, friendly staff, excellent dinner! Fantastic breakfast, fresh eggs in all variations with salmon! Excellent rolls and croissants! All in all, very good! This is the kind of hospitality you'd expect! We'd be happy to return!

We were very happy with the quality of the dishes. The starter plate was really fantastic. The wine was also very good. In terms of price, it is more expensive. But if you want to enjoy a great meal in a beautiful area, this is definitely the right place for you! We come from the Stuttgart area and will be happy to come back!

Wir waren am 1. Mai 2025 mit insgesamt vier Personen in der Lüthemühle zum Frühstück. Das Frühstück war sehr vielfältig, reichhaltig und appetitlich angerichtet. Das Rührei für vier Personen war eine riesen Portion. Dazu gab es Lachs mit Meerrettich, gekochten Schinken, Putenbrust, Schinkenwurst, Salami, Schinkenspeck, zweierlei Schnittkäse, Brie, Ziegenkäse, für jeden zwei Brötchen und ein Croissant, Kaffee so viel man wollte, Orangensaft und eine Flasche Apollinaris Sprudel. Außerdem gab es Butter, Marmelade und Honig. Es war sehr nett dekoriert mit Tomatenhälften, Erdbeeren und Rucola. Wir haben nicht alles geschafft. Das Ganze für 18 € pro Person. Da kann man wirklich nicht meckern. Wir sind absolut zufrieden und kommen sicher wieder

We went to the Luthemühle for dinner. Very fine cuisine and, above all, a wonderful terrace to enjoy an early summer Saturday in April and round off a convertible day perfectly.

We went here for dinner a few weeks ago with a group of 12 people. The table was pre-booked. The waiter was friendly. The drinks came quickly. The meal took a little longer. Another group of around 12-14 people sat with us at the large table next to us. The room was very high and had a wooden floor. There were no carpets or curtains. This made it very loud and not exactly comfortable. The food was good, but the portions could have been a little larger. Drinks and food are slightly more expensive than in comparable restaurants. Unfortunately the restaurant is not barrier-free. In our group there was a wheelchair user and a walker user. The toilets can also only be reached via a large, steep staircase. Since it is an old and historic building, it is certainly not that easy to change. It would only be nice if this had been known beforehand. So we would give the restaurant a maximum of 3 stars.

I can recommend both the hotel and the restaurant. The hotel has spacious and clean rooms with a good breakfast. The food in the restaurant tastes very good. The service in the restaurant is always attentive.

After a nice walk in the area we settled down here for a bite to eat and a drink. Situated in a beautiful location at a riding school, perfect for horse lovers. I can definitely recommend the antipasta, you get a nice full plate. You do pay a bit more than average here.

Das Lokal war leer und deswegen verstehe ich das nichtEs war total überteuert man hat überhaupt nicht auf uns geachtet Und dadurch, dass ich selber im Service arbeite, bin ich wirklich enttäuscht.

Am 1. Weihnachstag haben wir und unsere Familie in der Lüthemühle kulinarisch verwöhnen lassen. Vorab durften die Gäste aus 2 Vorspeisen auswählen. Dann folgte eine vorzügliche Suppe als Brühe. Zum Hauptgericht hatte man die Qual der Wahl aus vier unterschiedlichen Gerichten, eines davon vegetarisch. Die anderen hatten jeweils Fisch, Rindfleisch und Wild als Hauptbestandteil. Zum Abschluss überzeugte die Dessertvariation " Schlittenfahrt". Obwohl alle Plätze besetzt waren, wurden Speisen und Getränke zeitnah gereicht. Erwähnenswert ebenfalls der absolut freundliche, kundenorientierte Service. Für all das gibt es eine unbedingte Weiterempfehlung.

We went to the Lüthemühle with our family for dinner on Boxing Day. They offered a four-course menu that raised our expectations. Our expectations were truly exceeded, and everyone was thoroughly satisfied. In addition to the excellent food, we experienced excellent service. They also showed great consideration for our youngest guests. Thank you very much, and we would be happy to return.

We stayed here for just one night and had a very quiet room with a double bed. The room was very clean and decorated in keeping with the equestrian center. Unfortunately, we didn't use the restaurant. Unfortunately, because I suspect the food there is also comparable to the room. We will stay here again if the opportunity arises. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed visiting the restaurant. This is a perfect example of cozy country chic. The staff is friendly and competent. The food is fresh, regional and seasonal and really tasty. If you want to spend a nice time with good food and drinks, this is the right place for you.

Friendly staff. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Two out of four wine glasses still had lipstick on them. Spider webs at head height. Furthermore, my meat was poorly prepared. Pork fillet was dry and tough at first. After complaining, the inside was cold and still raw. All in all a failure!!

We often hold our annual class reunion in the hotel and the out-of-towners stay there overnight. We always meet an extremely polite, helpful and friendly service team there. The rooms have everything you need and are sufficiently spacious. We are always happy about the good restaurant service and a fine, large wine list. We celebrated our wedding here yesterday. It was beautiful, we rented the hall at the back. The food was super tasty. Something for everyone. Drinks came separately. Children were given children's meals and ice cream with chocolate sauce. The tables were set with white tablecloths and fresh flowers were also placed on the tables as decoration. So no additional decoration was necessary. I was allowed to bring over my party favors and children's toys the day before. We deducted one point because we often sat on the "dry" surface in the meantime. A waitress would have been missing. It's a shame. However, the gentleman who served us did his best and was very friendly. In the meantime he also had to serve other tables and other guests. Thank you very much for this great evening. We'd love to come back.

My colleagues and I came to this hotel for work..the rooms are a bit vintage (especially the bathrooms) but very clean..the staff is VERY pleasant and makes an effort to speak English, the food is excellent !!! well done for the risotto and the exceptional strawberry tiramisu..the setting is very relaxing especially when you come from Paris..the fields and horses surround you, it's great!!

Nice separate room for a birthday party. There were smoking opportunities outside. Beer tables and seating. The meal with various starters, the salmon and the beef fillet with the side dishes were excellent. The vegetarian dish was also highly praised. The crowning glory with dessert came at the end.

Die Location liegt landschaftlich sehr schön und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Schöner Gastraum mit gehobener rustikaler Einrichtung. Der Gast wird von geschultem und sehr motiviertem Personal kompetent umsorgt. Das Haus ist auf Massenansturm drinnen und draussen gerüstet. Die Qualität der Speisen lässt aber sehr zu wünschen übrig. Die Spargelsuppe wässrig und geschmacksarm, darin schwamm eine Scheibe Baguette mit Schinken und Käse gratiniert. Gut gemeint, aber aufgeweicht und schwer zu essen. Der Spargel war zu lange gekocht, allerdings tat sich die sehr leckere Hollandaise sehr positiv hervor. Das Wiener Schnitzel aus dem Kalbsrücken hatte mit dem Original nichts zu tun und war nicht souffliert, wahrscheinlich eine Fertigpanade, Beilagensalat ertrank im Dressing. Die Bratkartoffeln waren verkohlt und definitiv was für starke Mägen. Das Essen ist definitiv der grosse Schwachpunkt in diesem Lokal. Bei den doch sehr gehobenen Preisen darf der Gast wohl mehr Qualität erwarten.

Hier stimmt einfach alles, sehr freundlicher Empfang, große Zimmer mit sehr bequemen Betten, tolle Aussicht auf den See, großes und modernes Bad. Und dann das Frühstück: endlich mal ein kleines Hotel, das mit dem Buffetgedanken Schluss macht. Es gibt am Vorabend eine Liste zum Auswählen und am nächsten Morgen steht genau das auf dem Tisch, Änderungen sind auch dann noch möglich. Tolle Auswahl, super Qualität, sehr zugewandtes Personal. Alles in allem eine wunderbare Erfahrung!

Breakfast excellent. Very attentive and helpful service from the start. Cold cuts, sausage and cheese were served on a cake stand. Best scrambled eggs ever. Everything is fresh (e.g. fruit salad) and delicious (yogurt). Price-performance ratio great. We'd love to come back.
