Delicious food with a great view

The ambience was great, the service was very friendly, but despite there being little going on it wasn't always there when you needed it. We had 6 different dishes, 4 of which were really unremarkable. These were the pork schnitzel, the pork knuckle from the Ossikarte, the two pike-perch fillets and the Grützwurst again from the Ossikarte. All immaculate. However, the most expensive dishes were not worth 5 stars. The ostrich steak, regardless of the fact that it was the smallest portion, was not medium, it was medium well. It was still tasty, but you expect something. The ox cheeks were great, but the truffled mashed potatoes on the side were not. It wasn't truffled but covered in truffle butter. As a result, some places had no truffle taste and others had too strong a truffle taste. The biggest problem here was that the butter flowed onto the vanilla carrots. There was nothing vanilla-like anymore, everything was truffle-like. In the end it's little things, it was really tasty but it's not 5 stars

A restaurant with a magnificent view. Despite the rather upscale atmosphere, they are very child-friendly and considerate in this respect - that's not a given! The opinion of our mixed-age group: The food was very good, but not outstanding, hence a star deduction in this category. All in all a 5 star rating - we will definitely be back 😊

Great terrace with a wonderful view of Dresden, quick service, great food. You just have to go there.

the food cannot keep up with the ambience and prices

Waiting times of over an hour for food are out of the question. In addition, there was service at the table, which made it clear that the time was too demanding. I understand that having company and preparing brunch at the same time during opening hours is challenging, but that has nothing to do with respect for the guest. Especially not in this price range. It was just good and always worth a trip 🤠

It's worth a trip and when the weather is nice there is still a wonderful view over Dresden.

After 75 minutes of waiting for dinner, we had it packed. After another 15 minutes the time had finally come. The warm food was then tried at home. It probably would have tasted a little better there. It didn't blow us away. Ambiance and view is great. The play area is too small for such a long waiting time. Then the short ones get a little annoyed.

As always, we went to the Ossikarte at the beginning of the year 😋. The knuckle and the grützwurst a poem. The ambience: stylish and reserved with light music 🎼. We are always very enthusiastic about the Luisenhof 🤩. A big compliment to the team. And not to forget...Luis from Luisenhof, the cutest employee in the team😸. Keep it up!!!!

We accidentally booked a table for 12/25/25 instead of 1/25/25. There were 7 of us and we still got a table. Food came quickly and was also super tasty!

Five of us had dinner at Louisenhof today. It was fantastic! We had a very nice waitress (Ms. Leiß), the service was quick and competent. The food was a poem - big compliments to the kitchen! We will come back again in the summer so we can enjoy the beautiful view. The only drawback is the parking problem. You really have to come up with something. But otherwise highly recommended!!!

A really nice restaurant with a view over the city. The atmosphere is modern and beautifully decorated. The food is high quality and tastes excellent. Highly recommended!

We stopped here a little later in the evening after an event in town. Everything was snowy and parking was difficult to come by. We didn't have a reservation, but we still got a table. Apparently there was a lot going on here before. Well, then we ate and sat and apparently no waitress was interested. We were only served when asked. However, the good wine was served in wet glasses smeared with lipstick. When the defect was pointed out, this was changed immediately. You won't have to wait so long for your food. There was a celebration next door and the view over the Elbe and the city sweetened our time. Unfortunately, the chef was probably in love. The sauce that was provided again was also too salty. Well, the waitress tried very hard to keep us happy and apologized. This is actually a very good address.

We had made a reservation for a family dinner for 10 people and were taken straight to our table with a wonderful view of the Blue Wonder and Dresden's old town. The food and drinks were delicious and perfectly priced. The service was prompt and friendly. The toilets clean. There was also a small area in the women's restroom for diaper changing and breastfeeding. The only thing I can point out is that we had a few chairs that could pass for “rocking chairs.” Tighten the screws and this problem should be solved.

The dishes are of good quality, highly recommended - not too many dishes on the menu, so you know that everything is made fresh 👍The service was also great! The furnishings are modern. I found the atmosphere a bit noisy while eating, but it was nice when a lot of guests came and stayed here

We booked a table for 13 people in the small panoramic room. With written confirmation. When we were there we were simply seated somewhere else and even at separate tables. Caution !!! Here, promises are no more valid than snow in the service desert. Not recommended.. Zero prospects where we are sitting now. If we had been alone, I would have left this restaurant immediately!!! To the operator's comment .... Ambiance ... 1 ... if you put it in a niche it is very justified. ... Service ... 1 ... If the table is set for 12 people (instead of 13) and then 2 should sit at a separate table ... You probably shouldn't talk about service. In the end, with the request for improvement, there were 2 tables with 6/7 people each.

Great location. There were a few “mistakes” during just one meal. It's unlikely that this is the rule, it was probably bad luck. An apology was made and no billing was made.

Had brunch with the family. (Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.). Table reservation is recommended. The location of the Luisenhof is sensational. You can look over Dresden. Staff is consistently friendly and quick. The selection of food (brunch) is unbeatable. Everything your heart desires 😀🥂😁. The lunch portion was also simply unbeatable. Food very tasty. A clear recommendation from me💯🔥. I didn't take any photos of the food.

We went for brunch and later again for dinner with friends. The staff is very attentive and friendly. On both visits, Mr. Schulze, a trainee in his third year of training, served and he did an excellent job. The view over the city is fantastic. The food was excellent. I had the beef cheeks and they were buttery tender. We would love to come back.

A bit outdated, probably still living from the old reputation of bygone times. We were at brunch at 9:15 a.m. The service was almost exclusively covered by apprentices, although one was only on his third day. Dirty dishes and glasses remained there forever and were only cleared away when asked. The tables and chairs were stained, and the hair from the evening party was still on the upholstered benches.

We reserved a table for 2 on Sunday about 2 hours in advance. We were warmly welcomed, shown to the table, the food was very good, the size of the portion was okay and the price-performance ratio was absolutely ok for this particular location. Staff quite young and could be a little more relaxed and smile more...😉 View a DREAM. 😍

We were here for dinner on December 23rd, 2024. The food, service and ambience were very good. Even a small complaint was dealt with in a friendly manner. We'll definitely be back.

All in all good, but we have been there regularly for years and from our point of view the quality has unfortunately declined and the food has been slimmed down as prices have risen. Quality can come at a cost, but unfortunately it gives the impression that savings have to be made here. It's a shame, because the location offers good conditions. All in all still good.

We were at the Luisenhof again, this time for St. Martin's goose dinner. As always, very tasty, excellent service including a table with a great view. Highly recommended.

Luisenstrasse is an upscale address in Dresden with wonderful views. There is plenty of space in the restaurant and large groups can also be accommodated. Pre-ordering is highly recommended. There is a play area, children's chairs and children's toilets. Unfortunately there is only a changing table in the women's toilet.

We were there on December 6th, 2024 as a small wedding party. It was fantastic again: friendly high 10, very child-friendly, very high quality food. THANKS

A restaurant with a very nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, the quality of the food is rather mediocre and since it was very full, the service staff rarely came by.

Great restaurant ambience, but that's it. The quality of the food and service have significant potential for improvement. A family friend and we gave the Luisenhof a second chance, but unfortunately it wasn't used. We won't be coming back!

Great location and very nice employees and boss

We had brunch and it was delicious. The only thing that was a shame was that the Actimel was always empty so quickly and wasn't refilled. Overall it was still very nice.

Food was okay, unfortunately nothing more (anymore). Allergens not identified correctly. That shouldn't happen in a house like this. The view is of course gigantic. Also some vegan and vegetarian dishes to choose from.

We were super satisfied, drinks were great, food was great, children could play and next time we will be there for lunch so we can still enjoy the great view.

After being very disappointed at the reopening, we were able to convince ourselves again on Saturday for my 40th birthday. Food and ambience were perfect. But what we were most happy about was our great waitress, Ms. Pfeiffer. She does her job with passion. Thank you!

Yesterday we went to the Louisenhof for Martin's whole meal. Unfortunately our reservation had been forgotten, but we still managed to get a spot. Unfortunately the food wasn't worth much. The meat was tough and hard, dumplings and vegetables were okay.

Very unfortunate. We were part of a registered 60th birthday birth party. A service fee per person had to be paid in advance for a special table setting. When we arrived, the special request was forgotten. Instead of formally apologizing, the lady took care of putting on the tablecloths including 2 candlesticks in an extremely grumpy manner. The restaurant was set up for the evening, tables were moved, etc. It wasn't a comfortable atmosphere and there wasn't really time for us, even though there were hardly any other guests there at the time. One might have expected a glass of champagne or something. The birthday child came especially to spend the afternoon at the much-praised Luisenhof.

We were there in a larger group. Went up by cable car. We had a wonderful evening at the Luisenhof, good service and great conversations at the table. Everyone enjoyed the food very much, typically Saxon and home-style. In addition, the price-performance ratio was very good!

Wir waren zur Lions Veranstaltung am 15.11.24 bei ihnen zu Gast. Leider sind wir vom Essen sehr enttäuscht. Die Teller waren viel zu klein für die Gänsekeule und die Beilagen Die Gänsekeule war auf dem Rotkohl, darunter etwas Soße und 2 Klöße. Man mußte die Klöße trocken essen, weil man nicht an die Soße kann. Der Rotkohl schmeckte überhaupt nicht. Es gab auch keine Teller, wo man die Knochen legen konnte. Für diesen Preis kann man nur sagen, es war völlig überteuert.

Nicht zu empfehlen. Die Reservierung am 12.11.2023 wurde vergessen und wir mussten warten, bis man dann doch einen Tisch gefunden hat. Das Martinsgansmenü zog sich über mehr als 3 h hin, obwohl man das Aktionsmenü doch gut vorbereiten kann. Allein bis zur Bestellung und zum ersten Getränk verstrich fast eine Stunde. Die a-la-carte-Gäste an den Nachbartischen waren da schon lange fertig. Die Mitarbeiter jammerten, dass zu viel los sei. Der Service ist scheinbar überfordert. Das Ambiente ist für gehobene Gastronomie eher fragwürdig: Kunststofftische, keine Tischdecken (nur kleine Tischläufer), Papierservietten, viel harte Oberflächen mit entsprechendem Geräuschpegel. Wer das Kantinenmilieu mag, ok, dann gehört das Restaurant eben in diese Kategorie. Das Essen war Mittelmaß, die Suppe nicht richtig warm. Wir hatten es beide anschließend äußerst eilig zur Toilette, was sehr stark auf die Verwendung industrieller Vorprodukte schließen lässt. Da sind wir regelmäßig empfindlich. Die Googlerezension wurde vom Inhaber mit der Behauptung "Verleumdung" entfernt. So viel zum Aspekt Fehlerkultur im Unternehmen.

It was a very, very nice evening. Very nice and friendly staff. From what I could eat, it was very tasty. Unfortunately, “it was addressed to ME” too quickly. But yeah... But the service apologized for it. All in all, it was a very nice evening. The price is appropriate for these quantities. Thank you and gladly again.

Mit einer großen Gruppe (ca. 20 Personen) mit Reservierung von 12:00 Uhr bis 14:00 Uhr an einem Samstag hergekommen. 12:45 Uhr wurden dann unsere Bestellungen aufgenommen. 14:00 Uhr hatten wir zwar die Vorspeisen (3 Personen hatten eine bestellt), aber immer noch keine Hauptgerichte. Auch die Kinder nicht. 13:30 Uhr hatten wir das Personal auf unsere Situation hingewiesen, 14:00 Uhr dann die Restaurantleitung kommen lassen. Diese reagierte pampig auf unseren Hinweis: „Naja sie hatten auch Vorspeisen“ und „Na wenn wir jetzt noch weiter reden, kann ich nicht in der Küche nachfragen!“ … von einer Entschuldigung keine Spur. 14:12 Uhr war dann das Essen da. Die Speisen waren in Ordnung, der Preis rechtfertigt sich eher über die Lage als die Qualität der Küche. Die Restaurantleitung sahen wir nicht wieder, auch wenn sie meinte, wir würden später nochmal sprechen. Knapp 30 min, nachdem wir mit dem Essen fertig waren haben wir uns einen Kellner zum bezahlen organisiert. Zu dem Zeitpunkt waren immer noch nicht alle Teller abgeräumt.

Wir waren heute , seit langem wiedereinmal hier . Zum Kaffee u Torte . Die Wartezeit , bis überhaupt mal eine Bedienung kam , war sehr lange . Sie waren auch nicht gerade willig ,was zu machen . Die Tische wurden auch nur sehr zäh abgeräumt. Was uns aber überhaupt nicht gefallen hat …. Das Hunde in das Restaurant kamen . Wie kann ich das als Restaurantleiter zulassen ? Wo ist da die Hygiene? Unmöglich , den anderen Gästen gegenüber u eigentlich garnicht zulässig ( wohlgemerkt… große Hunde ). Kurz u gut , die Torte hat geschmeckt … aber …den nächsten Besuch werden wir uns überlegen …… Schade …. Um so ein Haus mit toller Lage u Aussicht …..

Greeted personally by the boss and assigned a table that was reserved in advance. Furthermore, perfectly served and looked after by the waitresses and waiters. And last but not least, the perfect kitchen should be mentioned. I had a tomato soup as a starter and a whole dish as a main course, which was simply delicious. Your house will definitely see us again. Now I had almost forgotten the beautiful ambience and the unique view over Dresden. All in all a successful evening. Thanks to the whole team for the wonderful hours.

Very nice and decent environment. Everything is clean and the service is very nice. The decoration, especially in front of the toilets, is very attractive and beautiful for me.

What can I say about the Luisenhof, it's simply a great excursion, gastronomy, a beautiful view over Dresden from the outside terrace, which is shaded by plane trees, it's just wonderful, the beer tastes good, the coffee is delicious, the food is also good I can only recommend it at the entrance area There are steps to the top but there is also the possibility 10 meters further on for people with walking difficulties to take the elevator up. If you ring the doorbell the door opens then you are guided to the elevator and then you follow above. And you arrive directly at the top of the restaurant. Look at the pictures, such a great view.

The brunch was really nice. We were able to experience a successful family celebration in a wonderful atmosphere.

Were here today for Sunday brunch. We were very satisfied. The food selection was very varied and everything was constantly replenished. A special thank you at this point to the chef, who explained to us very patiently and with a high level of expertise about vegetarian options. We felt very well looked after. Great place to have food snacks drinks. This has a good view from top to see the Loschwitz Bridge and the Elbe River and the Dresden city. Amazing place. I ordered a fresh juice and chocolate pastry.

Wir sind extrem enttäuscht und werden so schnell dieses Lokal nicht mehr besuchen. Nach der Ankunft wurden wir mit 3 Erwachsenen und 1 Kleinkind mit Reservierung nicht gegrüßt. Im kalten, zugigen Bahnhofsambiente mussten wir die Kellner dann nach Ewigkeiten selbst nach den Karten fragen. Diese kamen dann, Bestellung und das Bringen der Speisen klappte auch. Das Gänsemenue für 32,50€ hat leider nicht geschmeckt, das Fleisch war trocken(alt) und die Beilagen nicht gut. Die Ochsenbäckchen waren sehr gut, die Beilage hat nicht geschmeckt. Das dritte Essen wurde mit halbwegs bewertet. Beim Abräumen sagten wir das die Gans ziemlich trocken ist, das wurde komplett ignoriert 😂 und obwohl wir in dieser Situation noch freundlich waren und viel Trinkgeld gegeben haben, wurden wir wieder auch nicht verabschiedet. In dieser kalten Halle wurde dann noch ein Buffet für einen Nachbarraum angeboten, was für noch mehr Ungeselligkeit sorgte. Alles in allem sehr schade, zumal man auf dem Weißen Hirsch zu Hause ist und jetzt lieber weiter weg fährt, um Essen zu gehen.

We love it here 😁💃 January 2023: We were a bit unlucky today because we didn't get the promised table by the window, even though there were enough free ones and people who came after us without a reservation were seated directly at the window. The service was also a bit unpleasant, as the lady constantly yelled at the trainees in our presence. Last but not least, the food took forever - even though we were the only ones who still had lunch. But in terms of taste it was a poem 👌💃 I never actually mention the cobwebs on the ceiling lamp, but today they just fit in with the not-so-well-rounded visit to your place. Too bad

It was nice today in the Luisenhof, a great restaurant, the food was excellent and reasonably priced, just a nice experience, many thanks to the kitchen. I will definitely come here again.

Once again a visit to the Luisenhof, unfortunately my telephone reservation was forgotten and unfortunately there was no table with a view of Dresden. The boss still had a very pleasant table for us, the first impression of the waiter (the first impression counts), well, then things got better. However, the food is absolutely great and so tasty, people like to be here, the ambience is also great, a big thank you to the Rühle family for bringing the Luisenhof back to life. If the reservation works out next time, we'll be happy to come back.

The Luisenhof, a great experience for the senses. It starts with the clear, modern ambience and a view from the terrace over Dresden, indescribably beautiful. This goes smoothly into the service. A friendly, courteous service. For our large number of people, the food came to the table at the same time and then we get straight to eating. It was an experience for the palate. Thank you very much for this lovely evening, we will be happy to recommend the Luisenhof and pay a visit again.

We ate at the Luisenhof today, a good address in such fantastic weather because of the great view! The service was also very friendly. But unfortunately the food didn't score that well, the sauerbraten was very tough and the sauce was very greasy, next time I might choose a different dish.

We celebrated our anniversary in the panorama room with around 100 people. Everything corresponded to the agreements made beforehand. The service was quick, careful and, above all, very friendly. Food was excellent. A big thank you to Mr. Rühle and team. We were very satisfied and will recommend the Luisenhof at any time.

When we visited again, we weren't quite as impressed with the service. There were a lot of very young service staff jumping around, but some of them barely understood German or orders were forgotten or not understood. Nothing against trainees, but so many technical errors were made there that it would have been nice if an instructor had stood there and corrected them or evaluated them later. Otherwise the food was again very tasty. With the very expensive drinks, I would like glass or metal straws instead of the unspeakable cardboard straws.

We took our family here for a nice evening and ordered Ochsenbachen , Steak and Truffelpasta. We came for the Ochsenbachen , it was good and tender. However the truffle pasta was very bland, no salt, no truffle taste nor smell and we talked to the waiter. They only provided a bit more truffle oil , that’s it. The pasta was still very tasteless, worse that making it at home. Very disappointing . We used to tell friends that this place serves our favorite food and best view, not anymore.

The best location in Dresden. Food top, service excellent, view of Dresden from the “balcony” is incredibly beautiful. Visited again after 40 years, I was very touched. The ride on the funicular to “Luisenhof” is definitely one of them. A thank you to the staff and boss of the house, as well as to his nice, friendly mother, who I got to know. The view is great. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was good too. The food was very good. Not huge portions, just right. We were thrilled.

We were treated like second class guests. The food (casserole) was partly charred. The price-performance ratio doesn't fit at all. That was our last visit to this restaurant. The view is actually magnificent.
