Today we went to Spitzwegerich for the 2nd time to eat schnitzel. 😋 The service was nice and helpful and the kitchen was great. There is nothing to complain about. We'd love to come back. We had schnitzel on cream champions, schnitzel with garlic & cucumber salad and schnitzel Hawaii.

I had reserved a place for 2 people over the phone. We were warmly greeted upon entering and shown to our seat. The restaurant was busy around 7 p.m., but the noise level was relaxed and you could have a good conversation. Ambiance: The restaurant is comfortably furnished... I would describe the decor as rustic-bourgeois. Everything with attention to detail. Staff: The service was friendly and on the ball... so the glasses were never empty. Still, it was relaxed enough that you didn't feel pressured to order more. Eat: We had 3 courses. As a starter, the garlic bread with the dips was very tasty and enough for 2 people. For the main course we had roast beef with fries and chicken breast - tomato mozzarella. Everything was great here too. The roast beef was cooked perfectly pink and very juicy. The chicken breast was also well fried and not too dry. For dessert we had apple strudel which also tasted very good. To put it briefly... 😅 the food as well as the ambience and staff were simply great. We'd love to come back.

As a team we had dinner at Spitzwegerich after the game and it was just great! Not only was the food incredibly delicious, but the portions were also generous. 😋 We would particularly like to highlight the super nice service - friendly, attentive and always with a quick saying on their lips. 🤣 A clear recommendation for anyone who appreciates good food and great service. We'd love to come back.

We were there on December 26th. for lunch here. The food was very tasty and plentiful. The service was quick and friendly. What doesn't work is if you order a bottle of wine and have it placed on the table. The worst thing was the endless number of cobwebs in every corner and the amount of dust around the decorations.

We (2P) tried to make a reservation spontaneously by phone on Saturday evening. Everything is fully booked unless we hurry up until 7:30 p.m. Said. Made. And so we discovered the Mickten district. Reception, placement and service are boyish, friendly and cheeky, in keeping with the rustic ambience. The guests seemed to be local and liked hearty and down-to-earth food sitting in large groups. The food is served quickly, portions are large and country-style, you don't have to laboriously shower it with praise or discuss it in a complicated manner: simple, solid, well made and filling. Everything is reasonably priced. You can drink the wines on the menu, but you don't have to. A restaurant that you would hope for away from the tourist crowds. Civil peace in the midst of happily feasting fellow citizens. Then it was already 7:30 p.m.

November 2024 Food: Goose leg with red cabbage, vegetable stir-fry with sesame Drinks: hot lemon The duck leg was very crispy, the red cabbage was unfortunately extremely bland and "overcooked". The vegetable pan is a great change, but unfortunately made from frozen goods. Tasteful but delicious. The hot lemon was served with industrial lemon juice, which is exactly what it tastes like, which is a shame. It was cold in the restaurant even though it was 12 degrees outside. On the way to the toilet we encountered an unpleasant smell. The staff was friendly and responded to our wishes. The prices were reasonable. The selection of dishes is extremely large. All in all, I only deduct one point for everything mentioned above and would definitely go again.

We eat here often and we like to come back again and again, the selection is extensive and the food always tastes sensationally good. The staff is always very friendly and responds to all requests, simply quick, attentive and very well organized. The rustic ambience speaks for itself, you have to experience it and not describe it, so just stop by.

The Spitzwegerich is a very nice rustic restaurant. The food is very tasty. Unfortunately there is a lack of polite staff/service. If you see that it's a fun company, then you go to the table and announce that the kitchen is closing (9 p.m.). It's a shame, we would all have ordered dessert (lentils with ice cream). So sales were a good €25 less that day. The coffee machine was also cleaned shortly after 9:30 p.m., so we were at least allowed to order beforehand. Especially since the “boss” complained to other guests that he had to pay back all the Corona support. At around 10:20 p.m. we were literally thrown out. (Opening time on Friday is until 11 p.m.!!!) Lights were turned off in parts of the guest rooms and we were asked to pay. We probably won't come back. It's a shame 🤷🏻‍♀️

Unfortunately the food wasn't good at all, I can fry a bag of frozen vegetables (mainly carrots) in the pan at home. There was absolutely no freshness that I expect in a restaurant. Unfortunately, the potatoes that belong in the vegetarian vegetable pan were old, probably from the day before, as were other dishes from our family guests. We waited an hour for the food but were warned. Unfortunately it was very cold in the restaurant, we sat at a very narrow table near the door. We were all freezing! Maybe you can remedy this with a thick vestibule curtain. The restaurant itself could use some interior cleaning, dust everywhere, cobwebs on the windows, flies on the window sill. A very unpleasant smell in the toilet. However, the service was very friendly and quick when it came to drinks requests.

Es war wieder unglaublich schön....Eine absolut liebevolle Betreuung..und echt sehr sehr lecker. Wir hatten mit 20 reserviert, waren dann 23 , war kein Problem ,und alle hatten zeitgleich ihr Essen , was echt sehr lecker war. Ich kannte es schon vor 10 Jahren und die Qualität , ja,war noch besser. Also...unbedingt da einkehren. Alle ganz lieb...menschlich eben Ein großes Herz ❤ von mir. Das war ein sehr wichtiges Treffen für mich, es sollte alles passen und es war perfekt. DANKE

We have been here many times, very tasty food and nice staff...

So far this has always been a top address and our favorite for home-style cooking. For some time now, however, people have been feeling a bit ripped off. Pork schnitzel is offered here with 180g for 20 euros or with 300g for 23 euros. And unless otherwise stated, the customer can expect the schnitzel on the plate to weigh 300g! Unfortunately, the schnitzel is significantly lighter when you lift it. Everyone knows how heavy a 250g piece of butter is. And every housewife knows how big a 300g schnitzel is and what it looks like. In our house it is almost 3x as thick for the same size. The dry, thin things here look more like the ones lying around in motorway service stations. They are also very evenly brown, like they came from the deep fryer. Also like at the rest stop. For comparison: a piece of butter cut into slices of about 4-5mm, which is the thickness of the schnitzel without breading, would no longer fit on the plate. Here the plate is only half covered with schnitzel and there is still room for fried potatoes and salad. In addition, it was only slightly larger than my counterpart's 180g schnitzel, but should have been almost twice as big. Previously - before Corona - these were other schnitzels and also from the pan. They looked different, were beautifully mixed and tasted better too. Just like home-style food and not like newfangled fast food. We definitely won't eat schnitzel here again if we come back again.

A cozy inn with delicious food right on the Elbe. There is also a lot to discover as many old things are on display. It is clean and tidy. The food was really delicious and the quantity was sufficient. I would recommend it to everyone.

We went to Spitzwegerich for lunch and had a good meal. The food was plentiful and tasty, but the price was quite high. The atmosphere is typical, like in a good middle-class German restaurant. I find it problematic that the resident cat has wandered into the restaurant once or twice. Since I and other people I was there with have severe cat allergies, the visit was over quicker than expected. Although the waitress always took the cat outside, the allergy pathogens are still inside. Therefore absolutely not recommended for allergy sufferers.

Pretty little beer garden, quietly located and close to the water. My friend was offered an English menu, which I found very thoughtful. The schnitzels were great. We enjoyed it very much!

Good Saxon food, large portions, the service is really friendly and warm. Interior ambience very rustic. Approximately 50 m from the banks of the Elbe and between residential buildings, the external ambience is somewhat reduced. But we really had a nice evening.

Good restaurant with tasty dishes for a reasonable price! Very friendly service. It is normal to sit at other people's tables because of the crowds. We didn't mind, had a nice chat with local men and got some nice tips for visiting Dresden.

The food was very tasty and attractively prepared, and the service was extremely friendly and attentive. The prices are at a medium level. There was a large selection of dishes, so it was difficult for us to choose.

As a regular guest of your establishment who is usually happy to spend good money on your food, I was extremely disappointed today. On the way I just wanted to order a portion of fries. To my regret, I discovered that card payments are only possible for amounts of €10 or more. I find this absolutely out of date and very customer-unfriendly these days. Finally, I moved on hungry and disappointed. I hope that you will reconsider your payment terms and adapt them to the needs of your guests.

Super tasty food at a reasonable price, really friendly staff and it's a very dog-friendly restaurant. No matter how many times I've been here, there have never been any problems with the service. Everyone was friendly and our dog was given a bowl of water without asking. And we got a small bag of organic treats for him.😊 We really enjoy coming to eat here.

Price performance I would say 7/10 I had potatoes, with breaded flowers and hollandaise sauce. 16.00 euros officially... The potatoes were cold and very white and tasted like they had been warmed up three times in the microwave, not good at all... The cauliflower, on the other hand, was a 10/10, the hollandaise sauce was a ready-made one from a tetra pack, very chemical, service was great

We had dinner with our dog and baby today and we can only praise the service! There was immediately a baby high chair, our dog was given something to drink straight away and even a small bag of treats! It's nice that animals and children are welcome! The food was great too!

The food was delicious and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. Unfortunately I have to deduct stars because there was a strong smell of the toilets in the basement upstairs in the dining room. It is an old house and the water from the Elbe has probably often stood in the cellar. But maybe you can change something with ventilation or something like that?

It's unbelievable how you come up with the stars, I can only explain it to myself that people simply no longer have any demand for good food. Frozen vegetables that only taste like dew water. Bucket coleslaw and so on and so forth. What I find worst is that the menu advertises that everything is made fresh. This is misleading and I find it very unfortunate. We won't come to eat with you anymore. I'll be honest, but I don't go to the restaurant for frozen goods. The atmosphere is old, full of dust and cobwebs. No longer up to date and completely overloaded. The images are terrible to watch. It stinks in the toilets, but the service was super nice. I was happy to give her the tip. She tried very hard and was super friendly.
