KITZO Alpenstüberl´ in Dresden

This restaurant is highly recommended. Rustic and very cozy. The food was very tasty and the staff was nice.

We really enjoy coming to this restaurant, the staff is attentive and customer-oriented, and the guest's wishes are taken seriously and implemented. We were served by Felix on our last visit and felt very comfortable! Also a big thank you to the entire operating staff and the kitchen. As a guest you also see the overall package and that is definitely true here!

The food was good. The staff seems unfriendly and arrogant. Not again.

We had dinner for Valentine's Day and were kindly given a table for two as a table became available in 2 minutes. We describe the food as “rustically simple”, my Braumeisterschnitzel and the peas were definitely from the frost, unfortunately not acceptable for the price. When I cut the stuffed schnitzel, water came out instead of creamy cheese. The starters (Camembert, Bruschetta) were fine and very filling. The atmosphere is pleasant, clean, but noisy and not really comfortable.

Found this location after a session. A thoroughly thought-out ambience concept from the outside as well as the inside. The service was very attentive and competent. When the food came it looked very appealing. The taste was also perfect. No wish remained unfulfilled. All in all you can only give this 5 stars.

A really great restaurant but the service really has its hands full. We had to wait a little longer because the house was full. The food was very good but the service was slow and you had to wait or ask. But we really liked it and would love to come back. The service is very friendly and of course tries to please everyone. Rustic restaurant, like in an Austrian mountain lodge. The food tasted very good and the portions were generous (we had the DFF menu). Service friendly. Reserve seats if possible!

Unfortunately no recommendation. The mountain cheese was a run-of-the-mill cheese like I get in every discount store, the olives served with it were straight from the fridge, as were the grapes. The grapes that had already started to rot were also overlooked. It doesn't work at all. The argument that both have to be stored cold for hygiene reasons does not mean that they have to be served that cold. The baguette that came with it was sticky, cold and not fresh. That's better. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Decent home cooking is served in a rustic wooden ambience. Very cozy, a bit dark in some places because there is no daylight. Lots of space, at peak times it is advisable to reserve for larger groups (actually as logical as everywhere else). We like coming here. Also with outdoor area in the open-air season. Highly recommended

Friendly, fast service. We had a veal schnitzel and wanted fries as a side dish, which was easy to swap. The side salad was also large. The quantity is enough for even those who are very hungry.

Beautifully organized family celebration looked after by great service staff. The buffet dinner was more than sufficient and very tasty. We will definitely do it again when the opportunity arises.

Very rustic. Good menu. The food was sensational if you love rustic food. We ate pork knuckle. We only eat pork knuckle once a year...the last two times in Bavaria in designated pork knuckle restaurants...But the one at Kitzo was the best in a long time. We'll be back! Our tip: If you want a specific table, be sure to order it in advance! The Kitzo is very popular! Also because of the very friendly staff and the good portions.

Very nice atmosphere. The service is quite friendly and despite there being a lot of guests, the food was delivered promptly. However, the quality of the food does not reach the quality you get in Austria. Since we had recently been in Austria, it was unfortunately very noticeable. In our opinion, the mixture of spices is not really right. And every now and then there are also “special” own creations. E.g. sautéed onions on the cheese spazzle instead of classic fried onions. There is a lot of catching up to do, especially when it comes to cheese spazzle. It tastes quite bland, the portion is quite small and is significantly too expensive (€13.90). As an adult man, you have to eat at least 2 portions to be halfway full (including an appetizer). Last but not least, to mention something positive, the schnitzels on offer are said to be very good. Addendum from 12/25/24 Cheese spaetzle still small, but a little more than in the photo from the first visit. However, the taste is much better than the first time. Service extremely fast and friendly

Great restaurant with great and friendly staff

Delicious food and very cozy atmosphere. The restaurant was completely full and the service was still relaxed and in a good mood. The food came very quickly and was hot. The beef tenderloin was on point. Only the dessert - Quark-Käulchen - was disappointing. Two mini small particles with lots of fruit. Although tasty, it's nowhere near what I want (for a fairly high price).

We were able to have a nice dinner at Kitzo and the atmosphere was correspondingly appealing. The service was quick and attentive. The food was good and solid, but there was also a desire for something better. To be fair, one has to say that the prices are more than fair these days. Therefore, price - performance top.

This year's St. Martin's goose dinner took place here. We had a free table reserved for the two of us just a few days beforehand. In the evening the restaurant was well filled, which doesn't detract from the atmosphere. On the contrary. The order, the drinks, the food and especially the quality of the food were very good. The amount on the plate was decent. The staff was friendly. All in all, we will definitely come back after this first visit here. The menu still has a lot of surprises to offer.

Unfortunately, the food did not meet my expectations. I had a starter, smoked salmon with potato pancakes. The potato pancakes are soggy and half the plate is full of pickled vegetables from the jar. Unfortunately that doesn't fit at all! A fresh salad would have been appropriate. Service was OK.

Rustic furnishings, several separate rooms, parking spaces in front of the house, as well as bus and tram stops. Which I find extremely practical! The service is also very friendly and goes along with every practical joke. The food portions are generous and tasty. But I would have liked to have had background music in the separate area where we had a class reunion!

Very quaint restaurant with friendly staff and good food.

Absolutely recommended, we were there with 15 people for lunch on a Sunday (reservation of course). Very warm, friendly welcome. Despite different dishes, everything came to the table at the same time. Portions large enough, taste great. Big praise to the young lady for the attentive service, also big praise to the kitchen crew. We would love to come back.

Cozy, rustic restaurant, with very tasty dishes and a large selection of food and drinks. Prices are normal, table reservations are recommended, it could get very crowded in the evenings. Also suitable for large family celebrations. These then take place in a separate room, separated from normal operations.

Well located and with plenty of parking directly in front, the Alpenstüberl looks impressive. The atmosphere is rustic and cozy, the prices are high and the dishes taste good. Unfortunately, the service staff is quite snippy and borders on arrogance. Well, there's always something...

Nice and cozy restaurant, friendly service, although there seemed to be tensions between individual employees. There was leek in the cheese spaetzle, which unfortunately I didn't like and in my opinion didn't belong there, and the onions were a little too raw for my taste. I would pay attention to this on a next visit. But the rest of the food was good! Requests were addressed without any problem.

We had a family celebration on October 3rd. The staff was very considerate and friendly. The food was delicious. It was a successful evening.

As part of our volunteer work, we meet once or twice a year to exchange experiences. Again we rented a room at the KIM Hotel and were able to enjoy the Kitzo delicacies for lunch. I had a sauerbraten with red cabbage and dumplings. As always, I was thrilled. Great cuisine, everyone present was enthusiastic, there was also vegetarian food, which also tasted great. A greeting to the kitchen and a recommendation for everyone who wants to stop there.

I don't like to write bad reviews of good restaurants, but unfortunately it has to be done. Yesterday I came in as a business customer from the neighboring hotel. The restaurant was pretty empty so I found a place and sat down. The first waitress looked at me strangely and walked past, the second gentleman looked at me and came to me and asked if he could help me... (To which I replied yes, of course I would like the menu). I don't know if it was because of my foreign appearance, but that's the impression I got. When a guest sits in, they bring a menu and ask what they want to drink, at least that's what I'm used to. Been there for the second time today. It was full, I got a seat at the bar, so far everything was good. Today is burger day so I ordered a burger with fries and mayonnaise. The woman serving me brought me my food and the mayo wasn't there. I politely asked if I could get some mayo, she angrily went into the kitchen without saying anything and without saying a word brought me the mayo like a dog. I still had a polite conversation with her at the end and made this comment to her and still gave the lady a 5 euro tip and told her to be more polite from the start next time. She looked surprised and just said OK. All in all, the restaurant gets 2 stars because the food was good.

Wir waren mit 15 Personen und hatten reserviert. Eine gute Stunde waren wir zu früh da was überhaupt kein Problem war. Die Ober waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir hatten dann auch unterschiedlich gegessen von der Zeit her. War alles kein Problem! Die Speisen waren alle heiß und geschmacklich sehr gut. Große Portionen. Wir hatten dann auch noch einen medizinischen Notfall und auch hier stand man uns mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Alles in allem kann man das Lokal nur empfehlen.

The menu makes every hungry heart beat faster, there isn't a dish that doesn't sound appetizing. Despite the restaurant being full, every order was delivered quickly and correctly. We really recommend the Kitzo to everyone.

The ambience was really nice. We were there on a Saturday evening with a large group (with reservation). Unfortunately, the staff quickly reached their limits. Waiting 2 hours for food with small children is really not nice. If there are few staff, you can't accept as many reservations. The staff was friendly and tried hard, but not able to cope with the crowd. 0.50 cents for packing? How come? This will definitely lead to more food waste.

Very long waiting times for drinks and food orders😡

I ordered Szeged goulash. Other than the name, it had nothing to do with this Hungarian dish. It looked more like a bed of cabbage with diced meat on top. 1. The herb was drained, tasteless and cold. 2. The meat was beef and not pork; just as cold and tasteless. Also not braised with the sauerkraut. 3. The sauce was something from some gravy line; floury-pasty, tasteless. After complaining, the herb came warm. Despite seasoning with salt and pepper, I couldn't eat this dish. This was the worst dish I have ever been served. To the waitress's credit, she didn't charge for the food. I recommend that the cook have a Hungarian explain this dish to him. Maybe it's enough to google good cuisine.

We were there with a group. The atmosphere in the Stüberl is really great. Since we had also pre-ordered the food individually, the supply worked excellently. We have rarely eaten such delicious pork knuckles and dumplings. The drinks supply went very well and the waitresses were all in a great mood. We were all very, very satisfied and would go there again at any time.

Located right next to a bus/food station, there are parking spaces right in front of it. Beautiful shady beer garden with massive wooden tables and benches. The portions are plentiful and taste good. My cheese spaetzle could have been fried or baked a little more. And the onion fried a little until crispy. They tasted delicious. The Wienerschnitzel with fries was great. We were also asked directly whether the dog needed some water. The waitresses were very nice and often asked if everything was okay. Can really recommend.

The sauerbraten was ok. The Mediterranean vegetable pan consisted almost exclusively of zucchini and eggplant and was missing spices. Large portions. However, poor value for money. Quality instead of quantity would be better. Service was good, 3 - 4 stars, nice atmosphere, parking available.

Reserved in advance, got a nice table outside and enjoyed the summer evening: It was a really nice first visit to the Alpenstüberl and definitely won't be the last. The menu was absolutely convincing and varied - for me as a vegetarian there was enough choice (the cheese spaetzle, mega!). For dessert we had Kaiserschmarrn, which was absolutely perfect. I'm looking forward to the next time and I'm surprised that I only found out about this restaurant through Dresden for Friends and not before 🙂

Quality is not remotely in line with the price. One of the three schnitzels was still raw in some places. The others were dry. The fried potatoes weren't even remotely tasty. When asked about the defect, they apologized - and that was it. Not recommendable. Apparently there are a lot of walk-in customers who don't mind a schnitzel from the deep fryer. Never again and far too expensive.

We were happy to come here again because we were very impressed on our first visit. This time with family! Everyone found their dish and everyone was very satisfied. Despite the restaurant being very busy, the service team was very friendly. We'll definitely be back.😋

Das Kitzo ist ein super Restaurant, sehr gutes Essen, große Portionen und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Wir waren 4 Tage dort es war jeden Tag hervorragend.
