I had the head cheese with fried potatoes, my wife had the Brussels sprout casserole. Both were absolutely delicious, although my portion of fried potatoes was a bit small... I would have gladly paid €2 more to be properly full, but I suppose everyone has their own preferences... All in all, highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!!!

It was a very relaxing evening with excellent food and beer. We felt very comfortable and there was absolutely nothing to complain about. Top-notch!

I found the potatoes very tasty and well-cooked. Unfortunately, the meat was too tough, and I mostly just ended up chewing on it. I heard from the waiter that many people complain about this. It's a shame that it's not being changed.

It's called an art café auction. Or something like that. 🤔 It's really worth a visit. The food is great! The service is great! And you can buy almost everything on display. Anyone who wants to experience Saxon cuisine should definitely go there. A must!!!

The restaurant is must to visit when visiting Dresden. Located at the beginning of the city center, but prices are reasonable. Both food and beer are testy. Blood and liver sausages are top!

We discovered this little gem in Dresden's old town by chance. We found a table at short notice and were greeted very warmly by the staff. The food was consistently delicious. The home-brewed beer was excellent.

We were here on Sunday evening, December 14th, 2025, and had a reservation. We received a very friendly welcome. The staff was very friendly, the drinks arrived very quickly, and we didn't have to wait long for the appetizers either. We highly recommend this place and would definitely come back on our next visit to Dresden.

We stopped here for lunch, almost by chance. A simple yet good and rustic restaurant. The concept is great; the focus is on the various Watzke sausages and their own beer in different varieties. Both taste very good and seem to be a bit of an institution. Even on Friday at lunchtime, many regulars came for their lunch and a beer. The service was very friendly, and the prices were fair. It was delicious, and we'll come back on our next visit to Dresden.

We spontaneously visited this place for lunch. We only intended to have a drink, but then decided to order something to eat. The place is cozy and has a very rustic atmosphere. The service was very friendly, helpful, and efficient. The food arrived quickly and tasted great. Apparently, they have a different "sausage of the month." My husband had a gin sausage. It was flavorful and he really enjoyed it! We definitely recommend a visit here. Thank you!

Dinner with the guys during the pre-Christmas season; the restaurant was very busy. Nevertheless, the friendly owner found us a table for eight. The food was excellent, as was the service, and the atmosphere was great. Many thanks to the team, and keep up the good work! A solid five stars.

Great food in a great location. Its a very relaxed quiet atmosphere with great service and food. I had the pork schnitzel stuffed with ham and a wonderful smoky cheese. Squeezed a quarter lemon over it and I was off to races. Fantastic dish!

I've never eaten such a bad schnitzel. Dry, dry, and more dry. It was highly likely the schnitzel had been sitting in the oven for a long time to keep warm...

The dining room is a bit cramped.

We had duck leg for dinner today and wholeheartedly recommend it. The meat was crispy and the side dishes were delicious. Thank you for fulfilling my request for butter. We'll gladly come back again.

Delicious, generous portions, friendly staff, and legendary beer. One of the few good experiences I had in Dresden. A small beer with one dish would cost around 20. But I was drunk and spent 35.

The sausages were delicious! They were very accommodating even though I was alone and didn't speak any English, so I'm grateful for their kindness! I didn't drink beer and just had water, but it had a subtle aroma and flavor and was delicious! If I go to Dresden again, I'll definitely stop by.

Some of the tables were very close together; I didn't like that the pickle was placed directly on my roast beef sandwich, making it very soggy. Otherwise, everything was fine...

Great and delicious dishes of German cuisine. I really recommend carrywurst and kase-spinat bratwurst. The sausage is not fatty, it has really good taste of meat. The vegetables and fries well prepared. Soljanka was awesome, it was first time I've ever tried it. I'm not big fan of beer but Watzke pills was OK. The staff was friendly and helpful, you can ask for extra plate.

My meal was vegetarian toast, goat cheese and tomatoes, broiled a bit. And a glass of nice red wine. My friend’s was meat, tough, overdone and dry. Not edible. They took it back and removed the cost. By then she was over it. Nice service, friendly and helpful. The food was 50/50.

A great place with local beer. Good classic German sausages, too. The prices are reasonable. Probably a favorite spot for Dynamo Dresden fans.

The concept is impressive across the board. Friendly service and down-to-earth food with a modern twist. The price/performance ratio is excellent. I love the changing monthly beers and the delicious sausage creations to go with them. The specials menu is also interesting. I was also very impressed by the rustic location and the opportunity to buy specialties like sausage and spiced meats to take home or as gifts. Anyone coming to Dresden and looking for regional food will find this a great place.

We had a delicious meal here. You should definitely check out the weekly specials. The cabbage roll they offer was super tasty and very reasonably priced. You can also order a sample of the various beers, which I really liked. They're all delicious.

The waiter was very attentive. The food was good, but you should know that when they bring the bill, they don't give you a receipt first. If you complain, you realize they've charged €8 for a dish. When you ask what it is, they say it's a kitchen tip, but that the waiter's tip isn't included. This is the custom at this place.

During our visit to Dresden, we found this restaurant for lunch. We have to say, we haven't had such delicious and good food in a long time. The price/performance ratio is unbeatable. The atmosphere is extremely friendly, and if you bring your dog, you'll immediately be provided with a bowl of water. We'll be happy to come back for dinner on our next visit.

Very nice local restaurant with a lot of types "wurst" . It was really big suprise for us - very nice suprise We tried special of the week -> mango- kari wurst with fries and it was fantastic, somebody can say , it is only sausage, but not ! It was full of taste , full of ingredients, mango taste bring the meal to another level ! Yummy Schnitzel with carrot and Edam was something what we try first time-> and for sure not last time ! Nice dish. Service was unbelievable, always taking care about us with almost full reastaurant. Watzke wurstküche is very good choice ! Try it . P.s. they have their local beer.

Looked up this place on Google Maps looking for German food, but as it was a hot day I ended up ordering their Chef Salad. And it is the best Chef Salad I have had so far! A tasty variety of greens, excellent ham and good cheese and the perfect dressing that made everything come together. Service was average regular, I ordered, got the food, ate and paid. Nobody checked if the food came out ok or stopped by to ask if I wanted anything else. This seems to be the norm here in Dresden .

Watzke speaks for itself. One of the best pilsners for traditional breweries. Sausages are also good, as is traditional German cuisine. I recommend sitting at the Golden Horseman too
