The ambience looks great, really very nice! From midnight you will literally be thrown out of the summer terrace, regardless of whether you have a 2l bowl of alcohol (35€) in front of you or a 7€ glass. Without warning that you have to leave at midnight, without communication, you will then be fobbed off with 2 cups with the words "I didn't have to offer." Waste of his money and luxury goods.

Was back in this restaurant after a long break. The conditions were friendly and accommodating. A great location because you can really sit in the middle of the action but still enjoy cocktails and food in peace.

Food (Caesar's salad and burger) was very good, service (plenty available) took an extremely long time / was inattentive, despite the tables being about 1/3 occupied.

Why is my review deleted? I'll keep it short: if you want to do yourself and your friends a favor, avoid this shop. Ready-made patties from the supermarket, rocket sticks, the ends of lettuce, everything was in this burger. My girlfriend didn't want salsa on her burger but wanted a different sauce. Since this was not franchise compliant, she received a dry burger without any sauce. Pictures were attached, but problematic Louisiana removed my pictures. Juice shop

I only gave 3 stars cause the menu says coffee is made with frischmilch but it clearly tastes like it's made with H milch, it's no wonder any coffee shop in the city serving coffee made with fresh milk vs H milk is busy, cause coffee made with H milk doesn't taste good to me

The food was very tasty. And the service was very nice.

There were two of us here and we felt like we were in good hands. You could sit inside and outside. The staff was very accommodating and the food was good. Price okay. The music didn't have enough of an American flair for me, but that's also a matter of taste.

We made reservations for 40x people. Unfortunately only 1x waiter was available (probably due to illness). Accordingly, we had to wait a long time for drinks. (The 1x waiter made an effort) In addition, the tap for the beer broke...the food was ok. However, it only came in stages. In other words, they couldn't eat together. I personally found the portions to be a bit small. Likewise, no “table” could be erected as promised. We sat with 40 people at wobbly, high tables lined up next to each other There was no call in advance that there were personnel problems. We then stopped there and moved to a nearby brewery. In this respect, I would unfortunately not recommend the Louisana for larger groups!

The Luisiana – A bit old The Luisiana in Düsseldorf's old town has its own charm, which is unfortunately somewhat marred by the outdated ambience. When you enter the restaurant you immediately notice that the interior could desperately use a refresh. The furniture and decoration seem to come from another time and no longer really fit with current trends. The menu offers an attractive selection, but some dishes could use some modernization. The quality of the food is consistently fine, but the presentation and creative preparation could definitely be improved to complete the overall picture. The service was friendly, but the waiting times were a little longer than usual. It seemed like the staff were a little overwhelmed, which is understandable on a busy evening but still leaves an impression. Overall, Luisiana is a place with potential that would certainly benefit from a renovation and an update to the menu. Anyone looking for a nostalgic ambience will find a certain cosiness here. However, for guests looking for a modern experience, the place might be a bit disappointing. I hope that Luisiana will make the necessary changes in the future to become contemporary again.

The online menu is not up to date. Unfortunately, the card was shortened without it being online anywhere. The burgers were tasty, but the fries were unfortunately a bit dry. In addition, even though you ordered sweet potato fries, you got normal fries. Maybe it was worth an experience, but not again.

A nice, cozy New Orleans style pub experience. The food was seasoned and cooked with a good amount of spices but not greasy or overly done. My only complaint would be if they go for the Louisiana vibe they would add jombolia, and maybe a Po Boy's sandwich to the menu. I also had the feeling that jazz music from New Orleans 🎷 or piano music was missing in the place.

We've been here on every Düsseldorf city trip so far but this time it wasn't so great. The service depends extremely on the employee who serves you. In our case it was great but at the next table you could clearly tell that he didn't feel like it. The music is way too loud. It was only half full and you had to shout at each other to have a conversation.

Great restaurant on the Rhine. The drinks are delicious and the service is in a good mood... ideal for relaxing and enjoying.

We really enjoyed our food. Beef ribs were amazing. Tasty and plenty of them. Chicken Ceaser Burger was also tasty and juicy and big. Really pleased we chose to eat here. Service was very friendly but probably would have had a few more beers if we'd been asked. Atmosphere was OK but we were sat near the club next door so we mostly heard the music from the club rather than the restaurant but, was nice to be sat outside. Take some change with you if you need to pop to the loo... the lady outside the toilets was well unimpressed that I had no cash.... awkward. Definitely recommend.

Yesterday the two of us had dinner outside at Louisiana. Since we've been there before, but only for a drink, we thought we'd give the food a try. We ordered pasta, which was great and tasted extremely tasty and filled us up! Now we come to the service, which was borderline! At first it was business as usual and there was nothing wrong with it, but when we wanted to pay, the waiter who took our order took his time because he preferred to chat with others in a corner. Well noticed the eye contact and the request to pay, so it was clearly visible. My companion and I love to tip, but we didn't think it was appropriate this time. After a while the waiter came, but to let the people next to us, who came later than us, pay! Then finally it was our turn. My companion paid in cash and when she asked for change because the waiter made no move to give it out, the waiter just mimicked her and literally threw the remaining money on the table and walked away insulted and without a word when we pointed out that such a thing was happening behavior would not be necessary! The waiters there are usually always polite and friendly, but this one treats a guest like a dog because of a €1.50 tip! Impossible and unheard of!!

Very friendly Nice service in a cozy location the spare ribs were re-fried or something like that they were crispy and not fall of the bone ok in terms of glazing it didn't look like anything too bad the taste was ok but not special, price was a bit too high for these ribs.

The service and the ambience completely convinced us that evening. The entire table of 16 people was served food promptly and at the same time. An incorrect side dish was changed immediately and the dish was ready to eat 2 minutes later. The service was very friendly! With the Frozen Pornstar Martini I would have expected more passion fruit and the champagne in an extra shot glass. The caipirinha was served in a small glass… which we didn't quite understand. Afterwards there was a Long Island Icetea, which also came in a long glass.

In contrast to a restaurant in the area which, at least in our case, was very family-unfriendly, .... we felt very comfortable here. Friendly, child-loving employees. Nice atmosphere, good menu, delicious food.

Food: You usually only find convenience products on the menu, but you still had a cheeseburger that was well presented in terms of taste and appearance. Service: The service was professional and quick. The toilets, on the other hand, didn't seem hygienic (as of August 8th, around 4 p.m.) Ambience: We sat outside with a view of the beautiful old town. Unfortunately, this was the only positive thing, as sitting comfortably, eating and talking was out of the question. Musicians stand in front of the shop and think they have to put on their show while you just want to eat comfortably and in peace. In addition, we were harassed several times during the approximately 30 minute stay by people who wanted change (drug addicts, Roma, rose sellers). The staff noticed this, but tolerated it. It would be nice if the staff sent these people away so that the guest can eat in peace.

Been there very often, always super satisfied so far. However, last time I encountered an impossible operation. Rude and incompetent. We politely pointed out that the table was dirty and whether she could clean it. However, she wanted us to order immediately. We couldn't order because we couldn't look at the menu. He then said that we could look at the menu without putting it on the table, aggressively taking off the remaining glasses that were already on the table from the previous guests (there was no other free table on the terrace , except for one, which was too remote for us). Absolutely horrible place, bad service!! 0% recommended!!! Employee very unsympathetic and unfriendly. Music way too loud. We waited 50-60 minutes for the food. The employees were never there, so we always had to wait an extremely long time to order something. And when we wanted to pay we first waited 10 minutes until someone was there and then another 10 minutes until she came with the bill. Just wanted to grab something to eat but ended up spending 2 hours there. Never in my life again!!!

My friends and I grabbed a few food items and watched a game on TV. The food was OK, nothing special, but the bill was wrong. I ordered a cheeseburger that had a price of EUR 11.60, but the bill showed a price of EUR 19. This is messed up. This is not the way to treat customers.

Vegan burger and the breadless version highly recommended! Super fresh ingredients, fries seasoned to perfection. Service very nice and confident. The noise level was only quite high due to the open front, so one point was deducted. All in all, great recommendation!

One of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. We waited 1 hour and 50 minutes for our food. When we told the waiter that we would leave within the next 10 minutes if the food didn't come, the food came promptly. I ordered a burger. The meat was only lukewarm. I got fries that I hadn't ordered, which were then included on the bill (since I ate them, I was happy to pay for them) Friends of mine paid the bill because I had to leave earlier. On the bill it said that I had "dry aged" meat, which is more expensive, which I hadn't ordered either and wasn't even sure if I even got it... but it was still charged. In my opinion, pure rip-off and fraud. I would have preferred to give 0 stars.

One of the best spots if you’re craving for American food. I really like their Barbecued Beef ribs, and salads. I think the portions are good considering how it’s priced. Cocktails are also reasonably priced, especially during their happy hours. Highly recommended.

We were at Louisiana on June 1st in the evening around 5 p.m. because we were in town and have always enjoyed eating there. We ordered our drinks and food, and my partner asked if there was pepper in the salad. The waiter said that he didn't think there were peppers in the salad. We still asked that it be noted that there should be no peppers in it because it is ALLERGIC. The food then came and there was obviously peppers on her salad. At that moment we showed understanding because it was full and asked the waiter to take the food back and bring it again without the peppers. In addition, instead of mayo and ketchup as dips, both dips were completely wrong. When the food came a second time there were no more peppers to be seen, but the dips were still wrong. While eating, my partner bit into a large piece of pepper, which was probably only superficially fished out of the salad. After we complained a little more clearly to the waiter because, as I said, she is allergic, we were fobbed off with a "I can't help it, you didn't order that from me." He took the food back and asked to take it off the bill, which in this case is probably not polite but the bare minimum after risking an allergic reaction. She was not offered anything as an alternative and the waiter left the table without an apology. For the rest of the evening our entire table was ignored and even after we asked different waiters three times if we could pay, we had to wait about 15 minutes. Very unprofessional reaction in a case like this, where health is at stake and we really clearly pointed this out (right from the start). If you care about your health, I would avoid this location.

It's a shame that tonight turned out the way it did, because I actually always enjoyed eating at Louisiana. The new team is not very friendly and something seems to be going wrong with the organization. I ordered Chips 'N' Salad with the request that it come with mayo & ketchup and NO peppers. I got my dish with sour cream & salsa, as well as peppers. When another colleague came past the table, I kindly told him that the order was wrong and explained to him exactly what I actually wanted. When I received my food for the second time, I initially thought everything was okay - but when I was eating I unfortunately discovered that the supposed ketchup was still salsa. When I bit into the first piece of pepper that was further down in the salad, I realized that the pepper had probably just been picked out of my first dish. I then told the colleague to whom I returned the first dish that I was really disappointed because my wishes had not been taken into account twice. He said that it wasn't his fault because I didn't order from him the first time. I should give the plate back to him. He went into the kitchen with the plate and since then our entire table was ignored for the rest of the evening. Unfortunately there was no apology. I completely understand that sometimes something is forgotten or mixed up, but I find it impossible that twice there is something in the food that was canceled because you DIDN'T TOLERATE it and the staff showed zero insight into it!!!

I was craving a burger and ended up at Louisiana. Very nice service, the burger was also really tasty, I had one of the gourmet burgers with the grilled peppers, everything about it was really tasty. The toilets are also very clean. I was there again before the Fortuna relegation game and had the gourmet burger again, still very tasty.

Guys, the quality has deteriorated so much, I thought I was crazy. Please don't go there under any circumstances. It won't be a nice date, birthday or something similar: 1.The meat is a frozen meatball like from the supermarket 2. I didn't want salsa on the burger but instead I got no other sauce but a dry burger with no sauce. 3. The fries are baked in some old oil so they taste disgusting. 4. The lettuces and tomatoes are roughly chopped and the hard stems or similar (garbage) are used. 5. The staff outside and inside were unfriendly 6. It took too long and then came burgers with NOT melted cheese, ready-made meatballs, pre-cut pickles. A scandal, it's super annoying that I spent my money there.. We should have complained about the food and refused to pay, I'm so angry. It's also expensive

I had the pasta with chicken breast, pesto, cherry tomatoes (very, very tasty 😋, not watery) and arugula. My friend had the chili cheese burger. Both dishes were beautifully presented. We sat outside, the seating was good, with backrests and armrests. The service was very friendly.

As always, a pleasure with you. The main focus is of course the cocktails, and no matter which one you try, they are all fantastic. Just the right amount of alcohol. The food is really great too. I recommend the scalloped potatoes or the nachos.

Was very busy but service was fast and pleasant. The food was nothing special and was more expensive than other spots. The bathrooms were quite unkept and there was a "tip collector/cleaning person" who was quite dishevelled loudly watching some games on their phone gatekeeping the bathroom. Dropping 100€ at lunch I expected much better.

We had some fun here the evening after our Istanbul Düsseldorf trip. A pleasant place on Bar Street. The staff is caring and respectful..

Hasserfüllt… wir wollten eigentlich nur einen schönen abend verbringen allerdings wurde das von diesem restaurant leider zunichte gemacht. Wir wollten um kurz nach 11 dort etwas trinken gehen, dafür hatten wir auch einen tisch für vier gebucht. Mit dabei war meine tochter, die letztendlich sehr unhöflich von einem security mann weggeschickt wurde. Wir wollten eigentlich ihren geburtstag feiern aber leider wurden wir nicht reingelassen. Der security mann sprach sehr sehr unhöflich gegenüber unserer tochter und erklärte auch nicht was das problem dabei sei. Als erwachsenen mann so mit einer frau zu sprechen geht garnicht! Also wir werden nicht mehr kommen und sie haben uns auch als treuen stammkunden verloren.

On my last visit I was served by a particularly rude waiter (tall and slim, works at the front). But what reached the bottom of the depths was the brazen and aggressive reaction of the team management. Based on this experience, I cannot and will not recommend the restaurant anymore."

A very cozy and friendly restaurant in the heart of Düsseldorf, the old city (Altstadt), which offers good quality food. The drinks also are well made, with a big variety of non alcoholic beverages for those who doesn't prefer alcohol. The place can offer a nice experience for people that want to enjoy a nice and quite lunch, e.x. like business meetings but also for those who want to enjoy the night time! Good service, nice atmosphere!

Even met z'n 2-tjes gaan zitten op het terras, Een persoon wilde eten, de ander gewoon een drankje doen,het eten was middelmatig, net als de bediening. Bij het afrekenen bleek dat we extra moesten betalen omdat mijn partner een vorkje meegeprikt had van mijn eten en had men alvast de fooi erbijgeteld. I was there around 7 p.m. and was treated unfriendly right from the start, both by the waiter at the front of the entrance and by the boss/team management. The waiter at the front was rude and unprofessional which ruined the entire atmosphere of the evening. The behavior of the boss/team leader, who was also unfriendly and uncooperative, was particularly disappointing. It seemed like customer concerns were not valued at all. As if that wasn't enough, the team management's response to my complaint was also inappropriate. Instead of de-escalating the situation, they became aggressive. It is unacceptable/unnecessary for a restaurant to require a bouncer to control the situation. Therefore, it is better to de-escalate rather than escalate. Overall this experience was extremely disappointing and I will definitely not be returning or recommending this restaurant. There are many other restaurants with better service and a more pleasant atmosphere.

We visited this restaurant yesterday, April 13, 2024, around 8:15 p.m. with our family of four. Despite the almost half-empty location, we were not only greeted unfriendly, but also shocked by the audacity of the waiters. When we pointed out the unfriendly behavior and asked to speak to the supervisor, the boss stepped up. But her behavior was anything but professional - she became increasingly loud and aggressive. The experience was so disappointing that we fled before we could order the food. The service was unbearably poor and the manager's unprofessional behavior only made the situation worse. It is unfortunate that a restaurant I have known for over 25 years employs such poor staff. Due to this experience, I unfortunately cannot give a positive review and can no longer recommend this location.

Simply great, great restaurant in the heart of the old town. Steak and burgers taste great and are definitely worth the money! Watching the hustle and bustle on Bolkerstrasse with a cold beer is ideal here. The Louisiana also has very good cocktails with good service. I used to go to Louisiana regularly on weekends to meet nice girls, and today I had delicious meals with my family.
