Very rude and unprofessional waiter. I asked for wifi password and he acted like not hearing me,then when a very nice lady from the staff gave me the password,this waiter was yelling to her.

It was very tasty and there was a great amount.

Overall it’s fine place but they try to rip you off with high tips and service taxes which is already included in the bill

The bouncer was anything but professional. His demeanor was very aggressive. We wanted to celebrate at Louisiana today with a large group of friends, but the bouncer turned us away immediately with an aggressive look and tone – was it because we're gay? In any case, I wouldn't recommend it; it's better to walk a little further down the street.

Tried their beef ribs and it was great! Service staff were attentive and limited wait time for the food to arrive. Overall good experience and definitely recommend the ribs. Their Caesar salad was average and not bad, too many extra ingredients that don’t need to be in a classic Caesar salad.

The rump steak 300g was awesome!

Today I was out in Düsseldorf with a friend, and we spontaneously decided to go there for something to eat. I honestly wouldn't recommend it if you're really hungry; we waited at least 45 minutes for our food. Unfortunately, when it finally arrived, it was already a bit cold. The food tasted really good, though, especially the fries. The waiters were nice, and the staff were generally friendly. The atmosphere was quite loud, and the crowd was diverse; if you like a bit of hustle and bustle, you'll definitely get your money's worth. However, if you don't want to be subjected to intrusive stares from older men, you might want to look for a quieter place 😅 If you prefer something more relaxed and a bit cheaper, check out Aachener Ponte. All in all, it was a mixed experience; it's worth doing, but it's not a must.

One star too many! The waiter was unfriendly, arrogant, and rip-off. The beer wasn't fresh! The food was too dry! My wife and I just wanted to have a beer. Our favorite brewery was unfortunately very crowded that evening, so we looked for an alternative and, UNFORTUNATELY, ended up at Louisiana. They had some nice 90s music playing softly and it wasn't that crowded. We had already eaten dinner at home. As a Düsseldorfer, I like Altbier, and my wife ordered Guinness. My wife recommended I try their rib, €16, 400g fries not included. But she was willing to help me since we'd already eaten. Just bites with drinks, like tapas. The waiter apparently wasn't happy with our order because we didn't order two, and no fries either. We said we just wanted a snack with drinks. We got our order after a short wait. The Altbier was OK, but Guinness didn't taste fresh. The rib was, well, €16, dry rib. We wanted to order more beer, but unfortunately, we had the impression that the waiter was fed up with us, and after repeated requests, he finally came and took our order. As already indicated, it wasn't busy that evening, but he kept walking past us, showing us that he wasn't in the mood. After a long wait of about 30 minutes or even longer, we decided to leave and get our drinks elsewhere. When we asked the waiter for the bill, he suddenly remembered that we had ordered something else and brought the order after all. However, from our seat, I could see that he had poured the beer, which had apparently been sitting at the bar for a while, into another glass. I regret accepting the beer and trying it. Because at that moment, I lost my trust in the waiter. My wife doesn't want to stay and keep drinking. We wondered why the waiter was behaving so badly, because we didn't provide enough? Because we don't look European? We weren't unfriendly to the waiter, despite his behavior. Hmm... We then asked for the bill, and the waiter tried to charge us for a third beer. We told him we were glad we even came for the second one. Finally, he accepted that we only had two beers and no more. We usually reward good service generously. This time, we don't want to give anything because the Keller didn't deserve it. We paid cash and got 20 cents back. After counting, we were one euro short :( Conclusion: There are other places in the Altstadt/Düsseldorf where you can go for a nice after-work beer with your friends and partner. A nice evening is only nice if the place you go to is also nice. Louisiana is definitely NOT a nice place. So, stay well away from Louisiana and never go back!

The truffle pasta was rich and tangy, and the beef short ribs and chicken wings were delicious but a bit salty. (Everything I've eaten in Germany has been quite salty so far, so maybe that's just the average saltiness there?) The tomato soup was quite sour and strong, and it felt heavy to finish alone. The fries were delicious, and the waiter was handsome, pretty, and friendly.

We share the 1kg ribs, they were very good! Tender, soft and full of flavor! The food arrived about 10-15 minutes after ordering, so very fast and friendly server! Would definitely recommend!

Right in the old town ("Longest bar in the world") with outdoor seating. The food was very good, generous portions, and happy hour drinks were 50% off. I went there twice and was completely satisfied both times.

The restaurant is in Altstadt which is a crowd location and it’s quite loud due to a place next to it. The food was very good and tasty and seemed fresh, the portion was bery big indeed. Highly recommended. The staff were nice and the price was average. Totally worth the try.

I had a burger which was quite good. Originally I learned from restaurants nearby to make the burger special, like a handwriten signature. This Burger was more about back to the roots to origin. All was fresh and also the patty made the impression being handmade. But I have seen the Appetizers and sides to drink, this seems for me their center. Having on a hot day a bowl of nachos, with cheddar and jalapenos in addition to have a good beer, this is the place to be.

Went here for dinner and unfortunately had a very poor experience. The ribs were tough, dry, and lacked flavor, definitely not worth the price. But the worst part was the service. The waitress never brought us the bill and instead went straight to the payment terminal, where she added a 10% tip without asking or even informing us. This kind of behavior feels dishonest and exploitative. Beware: Always ask to see the bill first before paying. It seems they rely on people not noticing to sneak in tips. Very disappointing and feels like a scam. Won’t be coming back.

Be very careful here, because instead of communicating a misunderstanding with words, the employees will physically attack and injure you.

The best I've had so far in Dusseldorf. The burger is simply perfect. And the fries are the best I've ever had. It's in the historic center, a 100% tourist area, so the atmosphere is quite noisy. I was on the terrace, and the street noise was annoying at times.

In the area, some restaurants are touristic, this restaurant however is an authentic diner with very good quality food and drinks. First the ambiance is amazing with the music and lively street, recommended to go on a weekend. Then, the food is amazing, the burgers are very good and the fries crispy! We had a very pleasant evening at the restaurant. The venue is large and stylish, and the food was consistently excellent. The ribs deserve special mention – they were absolutely tender, flavorful, and our personal highlight of the evening. The burgers and other meat dishes were also very tasty, and the drink selection was excellent. One small criticism: The Caesar salad unfortunately didn't impress us. The restaurant was quite noisy, probably due to its size and the full house. Nevertheless, the atmosphere was pleasant overall. A big compliment goes to our waitress, Christina – she was incredibly friendly, attentive, and really made our visit special. Thank you so much! Overall, a very successful visit – we would gladly return and can highly recommend the restaurant.

So we haven't been to Louisiana with my girlfriend for a long time and we thought, the weather is nice today (03/20/25), we'll go eat there again. But what we experienced there in a very short time was not without its consequences, and what we have now stopped is really an imposition. There was a free table outside, so we sat there first, unfortunately there was no separation (partition-wise) between our table and the pedestrian zone like there was with all the other tables. Well, we ordered food and drinks and saw that the table next to us was empty and my friend asked the waiter if it was okay to change seats, saying 'do as you want'. Then we go over and at that moment three people come and wanted to sit down there too, but I was already sitting and so was my girlfriend. Then the waiter comes and asks if we can get up again so that the others can sit down there! I tell him that where we were sitting, without a partition, it's like sitting in the middle of the pedestrian zone and eating... honestly, after work you just want to relax. Then the waiter said we could sit down! At first I didn't understand why the suggestions were always only addressed to us?! Maybe you were a friend of the waiter? Of course we didn't want that when the weather was so nice again. Further statement: the waiter decides who can sit where! We then packed our bags and when we said goodbye he said to us, “Get off!” Well, I've never experienced that before, that's not our level, a kind of language usage, that's sad for Louisiana, there were decent waiters there last year. Lack of staff here or there but here the level was at a low point, if one can even speak of any level. Too bad for the store

I'm usually really straightforward and don't get upset easily, but this visit was a disaster. The waiter was extremely rude from the start and literally rushed us because we took “too long” to order - even though we were still thinking about it. After we finally ordered, we still had to wait forever for our food. When we politely pointed out the poor service, there was no understanding or accommodation from the staff. On the contrary – you were completely ignored. Regarding the food itself: The price-performance ratio here is not right at all. For €16 I got frozen meat that was neither fresh nor tasty. This is simply unacceptable. Conclusion: Bad service, unfriendly staff and overpriced, poor quality food. I absolutely cannot recommend the store and will definitely not be coming back.

The wait was very long, even though the restaurant was half empty. The waiter was very inattentive and not customer-oriented, and he was rude. And tips, I think, should be left to the customer's discretion (the waiter didn't give the full change), especially considering such service. Rarely have I eaten and drank cocktails so badly... Mojito as stale, citizens worse than at Mc's. Just slap a ready-made patty on it, you can eat better for 10.50 euros 😮‍💨. When we spoke to the staff... they only said that if you wanted fresh food, you would have had to mention it and pay more 😪

The ambience is probably a matter of taste: sitting outside is pleasant when the weather is good, but inside it is more reminiscent of a pub with extremely loud music. A clear point of criticism is that someone stood in front of the toilets several times to collect money - that doesn't fit at all in a restaurant where you already eat and pay.

We were at the Louisiana Düsseldorf restaurant on a Friday around 7 p.m. Unfortunately, the service was a bit overwhelmed or simply understaffed, and also annoyed and unfriendly. The quality of the food was good. Unfortunately, we only received one drink per person in a 1.5 hour stay and had to intercept a waiter at the counter in order to pay, otherwise no staff took care of us and the adjacent tables. Please improve the service so that people can recommend the otherwise nice store.

Definitely the best barbecue restaurant in this neighborhood. Generous and appetizing. The ribs are the epitome of tenderness on the outside, and the burger is a good combination of thick meat with generous vegetables and cheese. If you pair it with root beer, it's a great Dussel meal.
