I had a burger which was quite good. Originally I learned from restaurants nearby to make the burger special, like a handwriten signature. This Burger was more about back to the roots to origin. All was fresh and also the patty made the impression being handmade. But I have seen the Appetizers and sides to drink, this seems for me their center. Having on a hot day a bowl of nachos, with cheddar and jalapenos in addition to have a good beer, this is the place to be.

Went here for dinner and unfortunately had a very poor experience. The ribs were tough, dry, and lacked flavor, definitely not worth the price. But the worst part was the service. The waitress never brought us the bill and instead went straight to the payment terminal, where she added a 10% tip without asking or even informing us. This kind of behavior feels dishonest and exploitative. Beware: Always ask to see the bill first before paying. It seems they rely on people not noticing to sneak in tips. Very disappointing and feels like a scam. Won’t be coming back.

Tourist trap. The beer was warm and the way how the bartender poured it was outright disgusting. The beef patty in the burger was premade and the bun wasn't good either. Only good thing was the fries. And they want additional payment to use the toilet. Do not recommend.

The best I've had so far in Dusseldorf. The burger is simply perfect. And the fries are the best I've ever had. It's in the historic center, a 100% tourist area, so the atmosphere is quite noisy. I was on the terrace, and the street noise was annoying at times.

In the area, some restaurants are touristic, this restaurant however is an authentic diner with very good quality food and drinks. First the ambiance is amazing with the music and lively street, recommended to go on a weekend. Then, the food is amazing, the burgers are very good and the fries crispy! The service is also top notch with friendly staff. Shoutout to Sonja ( or Sonia )!

We had a very pleasant evening at the restaurant. The venue is large and stylish, and the food was consistently excellent. The ribs deserve special mention – they were absolutely tender, flavorful, and our personal highlight of the evening. The burgers and other meat dishes were also very tasty, and the drink selection was excellent. One small criticism: The Caesar salad unfortunately didn't impress us. The restaurant was quite noisy, probably due to its size and the full house. Nevertheless, the atmosphere was pleasant overall. A big compliment goes to our waitress, Christina – she was incredibly friendly, attentive, and really made our visit special. Thank you so much! Overall, a very successful visit – we would gladly return and can highly recommend the restaurant.

So we haven't been to Louisiana with my girlfriend for a long time and we thought, the weather is nice today (03/20/25), we'll go eat there again. But what we experienced there in a very short time was not without its consequences, and what we have now stopped is really an imposition. There was a free table outside, so we sat there first, unfortunately there was no separation (partition-wise) between our table and the pedestrian zone like there was with all the other tables. Well, we ordered food and drinks and saw that the table next to us was empty and my friend asked the waiter if it was okay to change seats, saying 'do as you want'. Then we go over and at that moment three people come and wanted to sit down there too, but I was already sitting and so was my girlfriend. Then the waiter comes and asks if we can get up again so that the others can sit down there! I tell him that where we were sitting, without a partition, it's like sitting in the middle of the pedestrian zone and eating... honestly, after work you just want to relax. Then the waiter said we could sit down! At first I didn't understand why the suggestions were always only addressed to us?! Maybe you were a friend of the waiter? Of course we didn't want that when the weather was so nice again. Further statement: the waiter decides who can sit where! We then packed our bags and when we said goodbye he said to us, “Get off!” Well, I've never experienced that before, that's not our level, a kind of language usage, that's sad for Louisiana, there were decent waiters there last year. Lack of staff here or there but here the level was at a low point, if one can even speak of any level. Too bad for the store

I'm usually really straightforward and don't get upset easily, but this visit was a disaster. The waiter was extremely rude from the start and literally rushed us because we took “too long” to order - even though we were still thinking about it. After we finally ordered, we still had to wait forever for our food. When we politely pointed out the poor service, there was no understanding or accommodation from the staff. On the contrary – you were completely ignored. Regarding the food itself: The price-performance ratio here is not right at all. For €16 I got frozen meat that was neither fresh nor tasty. This is simply unacceptable. Conclusion: Bad service, unfriendly staff and overpriced, poor quality food. I absolutely cannot recommend the store and will definitely not be coming back.

The wait was very long, even though the restaurant was half empty. The waiter was very inattentive and not customer-oriented, and he was rude. And tips, I think, should be left to the customer's discretion (the waiter didn't give the full change), especially considering such service. Rarely have I eaten and drank cocktails so badly... Mojito as stale, citizens worse than at Mc's. Just slap a ready-made patty on it, you can eat better for 10.50 euros 😮‍💨. When we spoke to the staff... they only said that if you wanted fresh food, you would have had to mention it and pay more 😪

The food was really delicious, especially the salad – I love it! The burger also tasted excellent. The service was extremely professional and attentive. The ambience is probably a matter of taste: sitting outside is pleasant when the weather is good, but inside it is more reminiscent of a pub with extremely loud music. A clear point of criticism is that someone stood in front of the toilets several times to collect money - that doesn't fit at all in a restaurant where you already eat and pay.

Cocktails are great, of course you have to add a potato with them ❤️Friendly staff and a great place. But it's such a shame, the toilet is paid🤔

We were at the Louisiana Düsseldorf restaurant on a Friday around 7 p.m. Unfortunately, the service was a bit overwhelmed or simply understaffed, and also annoyed and unfriendly. The quality of the food was good. Unfortunately, we only received one drink per person in a 1.5 hour stay and had to intercept a waiter at the counter in order to pay, otherwise no staff took care of us and the adjacent tables. Please improve the service so that people can recommend the otherwise nice store.

Definitely the best barbecue restaurant in this neighborhood. Generous and appetizing. The ribs are the epitome of tenderness on the outside, and the burger is a good combination of thick meat with generous vegetables and cheese. If you pair it with root beer, it's a great Dussel meal. Highly recommended

After the Christmas market last weekend, we settled here for a nightcap. We were pushed away with a group of four people into a dark corner of this cafe/restaurant, which is a dancing place in the evenings. The choice on the menu was quite wide. Unfortunately, the quality of what was chosen turned out to be substandard: a friend's (prepper) food was on the cold side and I found the bun of my cheeseburger quite dry. Service had a set of creamy jopens but did not appear to be transparent about the calculated tip. Very unfortunate. Another friend of mine, who was quite sour during the day, had good words for the service of the lady at the toilets. All in all, we would not come back here to eat something, but for a quick sanitary stop.

I have never seen such unfriendly staff in my life. After 10 minutes of waiting outside in the cold, no one came to us, then we asked inside and they said “sorry, not my problem, colleague from outside does it” .. then we sat outside because one table was empty, then that one Another employee came and threw us away because we “weren’t allowed to sit at the table because the table is for 4 people and we’re not allowed to sit anywhere until he’s there and there’s no room for us anymore”. I really don’t know whether the owners of the restaurant know what rude, disrespectful employees they employ and how many customers they lose every day because of such impudence..

The service is bad as no one was outside to serve or greet. The waiter was very rude and refuse to serve or even work. We had to leave with my family as he was so rude. I do not recommend this place at all. I do recommend the resto next to it called cafe madrid.

A bad experience and charging a servicefee/trinkgeld for the delivered "service" and foodquality is bizarre. After ordering it took almost an hour before the food was served. People were all waiting too long on their food. During that time nobody came to ask for another round of drinks. The food itself tasted ok, but wasn't hot anymore when it was served. It felt heavy in the stomach. Paying with a card is possible, but you get a receipt with a qr-code, so you can't see in an easy way how the bill is specified. Later on we found out why: We discovered that a 10% servicefee / trinkgeld was charged without telling us. There wasn't a notice on the menu. Please keep such american tricks in america (at least they inform you about it) or at least deliver decent service and proper foodquality. We feel that we are tricked and won't come back.

We went to the Louisiana Bar for a drink with my friend from class and sat at a table. A strange man started dancing around us, trying to get attention. We ignored him and turned our heads the other way. Then this perverted man touched my boyfriend. I got mad at him and yelled at him to leave. He didn't care and touched it again. I complained to the waiter about this man. The waiter spoke to the man next to this man. And the pervert went to another side. Finally. Then, while my friend was talking to someone and I looked to my right, I saw the perverted man coming towards me and rubbing my jacket on his p*nis on the chair. I was shocked, I have never experienced something so disgusting in a cafe/bar in my life. My friend's friend wanted to resolve the situation by talking to the perverted man, the perverted man made a hand gesture, then our friend went to that perverted man and the perverted man hit him, then others got involved and a big one happened Dispute. While there was a fight going on right behind me, I was pushed, maybe intentionally or accidentally, and I felt a hit on my back, I almost hit the ground and my back hurts a lot today. I said to the waiter, “I warned you about this pervert. Do you remember?" The waiter looked at me like he was right but didn't say anything. The waitress handed the phones on the table to the barista, I took the phones from her and while she said to the waitress that this man is a pervert the waitress told me; “We know, we’ve seen it all,” he said. Yes, that's the problem. Everyone saw everything but the bar staff and security did nothing while this perverted man disturbed us all evening and tried to molest us. Until a big fight broke out and security came. If you don't intervene when you see two girls being harassed in your bar, if you take such an inhumane approach to business, if all you care about is serving food and taking your money, if you don't keep the peace Why Did you open a bar from the people who sit in your place? Just as we will never go there again, you can be sure that I will tell all the girls at my university that they are never safe in this bar. You're disgusting. A disgusting bar that just watches girls get harassed. You can follow what I'm saying through the camera footage and see all the details.

We came with a group of friends during the Christmas market. We had plenty of food and drinks. When checking the receipt we saw that we were completely ripped of. There are several drinks on the bill that did not belong to our table. The waitress spilled a full drink on my lap, and asked if I wanted a new one. They also charged us for the spilled drink. And added a tip without mentioning this anywhere. More than 50€ overcharged… so always check their bill!!

The service was okay, the atmosphere was good. The bill: you will receive a receipt stating the final amount. This was too high in my opinion!! When you scan the QR code, you will see the full bill! There was more on it than we used. A new bill was made without any problems, but this mistake often happens in this restaurant!! Also customers in the area who thought the bill was high, but did not check it and simply paid. This is a scam and takes advantage of customers who pay in good faith.

Watch out!!! This place take his own tip.. (trinkgeld) mostly 10% of the bill this is pure scamming and against the law. I got my 5 euro tip back.. so always chek your bill. Food is to expensive for what you get.

Food was great, really enjoyed the BBQ ribs. They fell off the bone and were super soft and well seasoned and the portion was massive! Enjoyable food. Cost €79.90 for 2 people getting ribs, chips, garlic bread, and one pint each which I don't think was worth it considering the rest of my experience in the restaurant. *EDIT- The food/drink was €72.70. The restaurant added their own tip of €7.20 which is pure cheeky. I would not have left any tip due to the shocking service. The service was shocking. I understand that it was very busy, but there looked to be only 2 servers serving our area and god love them they looked super stretched out. We waited over 50 minutes for our order. I ended up having to go up and ask about our order and after doing so it arrived shortly after. The restaurant also shares an outdoor area with a dance bar or something, and lots of their drunk patrons wander out and just hover around you when you're eating. Shouting, falling on you, blowing smoke at you and dropping ash into your food and just in general made for a very uncomfortable experience. I'd recommend this place if you were wanting to have a night out and were more focused on drinking and grabbing a small bite while doing so. I wouldn't recommend it as a place to sit in for a dinner.

The ambience looks great, really very nice! From midnight you will literally be thrown out of the summer terrace, regardless of whether you have a 2l bowl of alcohol (35€) in front of you or a 7€ glass. Without warning that you have to leave at midnight, without communication, you will then be fobbed off with 2 cups with the words "I didn't have to offer." Waste of his money and luxury goods.

There were two of us here and we felt like we were in good hands. You could sit inside and outside. The staff was very accommodating and the food was good. Price okay. The music didn't have enough of an American flair for me, but that's also a matter of taste.

We made reservations for 40x people. Unfortunately only 1x waiter was available (probably due to illness). Accordingly, we had to wait a long time for drinks. (The 1x waiter made an effort) In addition, the tap for the beer broke...the food was ok. However, it only came in stages. In other words, they couldn't eat together. I personally found the portions to be a bit small. Likewise, no “table” could be erected as promised. We sat with 40 people at wobbly, high tables lined up next to each other There was no call in advance that there were personnel problems. We then stopped there and moved to a nearby brewery. In this respect, I would unfortunately not recommend the Louisana for larger groups!

The Luisiana – A bit old The Luisiana in Düsseldorf's old town has its own charm, which is unfortunately somewhat marred by the outdated ambience. When you enter the restaurant you immediately notice that the interior could desperately use a refresh. The furniture and decoration seem to come from another time and no longer really fit with current trends. The menu offers an attractive selection, but some dishes could use some modernization. The quality of the food is consistently fine, but the presentation and creative preparation could definitely be improved to complete the overall picture. The service was friendly, but the waiting times were a little longer than usual. It seemed like the staff were a little overwhelmed, which is understandable on a busy evening but still leaves an impression. Overall, Luisiana is a place with potential that would certainly benefit from a renovation and an update to the menu. Anyone looking for a nostalgic ambience will find a certain cosiness here. However, for guests looking for a modern experience, the place might be a bit disappointing. I hope that Luisiana will make the necessary changes in the future to become contemporary again.
