Very friendly service, but the opening hours were incorrect. We were there on a Thursday, and the kitchen closed at 9:00 PM. Drinks were available until about 9:15 PM.

We came around 16:00, stood at the ”Bitte Warten” sign to then get directions to choose any table we want. Then we sat waiting… and waiting… and waiting. The only interaction we got was when we asked if we could sit inside in the hope to get service. But even there, we sat. The restaurant was empty, but no service. So after 20+ min of waiting in an empty restaurant we left for the competing restaurant on the other side of the walkway that gave great service from us walking up till we left. The waiters and waitresses were just standing in the bar chit chatting and walking in slow motion as if they were home at friends catching up. Since we didnt ever get anything I cannot review the food. Just the service. Too bad because they had my favorite beer, Erdinger.

All in all, it's okay. Unfortunately, it's quite loud outside and the seating is a bit cramped. The food was very good and the service was attentive.

We were already sitting at the table with 3 children and an elderly man and they made us leave the place because in theory we had to wait outside to be called, when there was no one outside, it was raining and there was no sign that said this. The girl had zero empathy. I'm not coming back!

The food was okay. The servers were very overwhelmed. There were five of us there. Four of us had our food after 20 minutes. The last one only received our food after we asked.

For a quick but grand cafe feel

The food was good. Unfortunately, my alcoholic drink was very brown, the strawberries were very brown, and the mint was also very brown, not exactly appealing. The children only received them after asking. It's a shame, and unfortunately, it's very hectic and noisy there.

We were skillfully ignored by the waiter with braces. Two sets of cutlery for three people, and then we had to ask for them ourselves. We asked for the bill twice and were ignored. We raised our hand, called out "hello," and the head waitress asked him to take our money. Nothing happened; we were ignored again. After a short while, we reported back to the head waitress to pay and wrap our pizza. He came over, put the cashier in front of us (there was no tip, of course), and went inside, visibly annoyed, without wrapping our pizza. The service was an absolute disaster. Thank you for that. We will, of course, not recommend this restaurant. The service can ruin a good meal.

When we arrived to eat, we waited at the entrance. Suddenly, a waitress ran through, yelling at us, "Watch out! Get out of my way!" She bumped into us and kept running. Five of us spontaneously stopped by the L'Osteria restaurant with our three children. The staff were so kind to our kids, and the food was served quickly. The kids' menu was affordable and included art supplies. The family felt very welcome! :) Thank you!

A well-publicized place, they specially create queues at the entrance to create the atmosphere of a place that everyone wants to get into. Once inside, we were seated at a table near a back exit, through which staff constantly walked with trash cans, for a smoke break, etc. The staff solved everyday problems right in the hall. First they brought coffee and then later asked if we needed sugar. The toilets are a mess, some automatic hand sanitizers don't work. When they brought the pasta, the waitress put her fingers in the pasta along with the check that was in her hands. The pizza was burnt, but what wasn't burnt was delicious. To my surprise, a piece of the chef's rubber glove was found in the pizza. (It's not bad that at least the chef wore rubber gloves). Summing up, there are many good places worth visiting, but not this pizzeria.

Truly delicious. Excellent flavor and texture. The service was also very pleasant. Unfortunately, the pasta portion is too small, while the pizza portion is too large. I gave it a four, hoping the restaurant would notice my personal opinion. (Sounds naive, right? 😂) Please forgive me! 😭😭😭 The restaurant is always crowded, so I suggest you book the most convenient table.

We were there this afternoon and ordered the usual. Since we travel a lot throughout Germany, we often rely on this chain and have never been disappointed. The service was excellent, and the food arrived quickly. However, we both got severe stomach aches and nausea after eating... In the future, they should pay more attention to the shelf life of their products.

This is the first bad review I've had to write. I actually find this kind of thing unpleasant, but I have no choice. It's a shame, and hence the 2 stars. The service was average, and the music was way too loud. I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant on two separate occasions. The food was consistently amazing, and the service exceeded my expectations. On one occasion, I opted for pizza since they stopped serving pasta an hour before closing. The pizza was exceptional and arrived promptly. The next night, I decided to dine in and ordered pasta, which was simply stupendous. If I weren’t in Germany, I would have mistaken it for coming straight from Italy. The staff was incredibly attentive and spoke English fluently, which I greatly appreciated. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone staying in the downtown area of Stuttgart.

The food tasted good, we both had pizza and spent a total of €22 per person. We were there for lunch and didn't have to wait for a table.

The chain's food is actually good, but at the Milaneo the service is dismal. No one comes to serve you, it takes ages until a seat is assigned.. In any case, there is a lot of room for improvement when it comes to the service.. Sometimes they are only 2/3 of the way around in a full restaurant, that's not possible... be it for the employees but also for the guests...

I have visited other locations in the chain and preferred them over other options. I ordered one type of pasta, Maccheroncini, and a Spaghetti appeared on my plate. When he points it out to the waitress, she says: "It's a pasta too, what's the problem?" Apparently, this situation is completely normal. I would be worried if it was someone allergic to any ingredients, vegetarian or vegan, but I'm not. Ignoring that, the rest of the dish was mediocre (maybe the specialty is the pizzas). The dish of the person who accompanied me (lasagna) was generally better. However, fat appeared on the meat. The waitress who served us also showed an apathetic attitude towards us, waiting for us to just order. The local atmosphere is quite disorderly, with tables very close to each other in order to take advantage of all the furniture, but abusing excess. I don't know if the idea is to give a feeling of an Italian place, I can guess from the names of dishes and decorations in that language. But if that is the case, the Latin American musical setting clearly does not correspond to Italian culture.

Always busy. The 2 times I went, 1st time my salad was blah. 2nd, had a pasta dish...very tasty but chicken overcooked. Servers were on top of things though. Hustling.

L’Osteria impresses with Italian charm, generous portions and a successful mix of cosiness and modern style. It's especially nice to sit outside and watch the hustle and bustle of the city while enjoying a coffee or a glass of wine. The menu offers a great selection - from fresh pasta dishes to huge, crispy pizzas and delicious desserts. Everything we have tried so far has been on point in terms of taste. I ordered 2 pizzas on Sunday evening. After 2.5 hours of waiting, my order was simply canceled by L'Osteria without giving any reason or even an apology. That's what I call customer service!

I went there for lunch with my family during the week. It started bad and ended even worse. We arrived and even though there was a sign on the door telling us to wait for a table, the waiters just stared at you while you sat at the bar chatting and showed no interest in us until I walked up to them. They gave us the table in front of the kitchen/pizzeria and it seemed like no one was working, just talking, laughing and joking in front of us without ordering. After 15 minutes we had managed to order 3 pizzas, which sat on the counter for at least 5 minutes while the pizza maker moved around the room and the waiters joked among themselves. Finally a waiter came who, while eating some bread, noticed the three pizzas, but did not know that they were ours, and began to "throw" other ingredients and even the order receipt on them. When he realized that they were ours, he was almost ashamed, acted as if nothing had happened and served us. We ate because we were hungry, otherwise I would have had to call the health department. I ended up having to chase after a waitress to pay who just asked me if I wanted to tip without saying thank you or wishing me a nice day. Incompetence and unprofessionalism are widespread. NEVER AGAIN

We were there for pizza. Unfortunately, 2 of 3 pizzas came lukewarm. The third pizza came differently than ordered. I then had to wait 20 minutes for the replacement. At least, as compensation there was an espresso and the long-awaited pizza tasted good.

If the restaurant is full, you will be asked to wait at the bar. After a good 10 minute wait you will be assigned to a free table. The food is really of very good quality, we ate twice in a short time and ordered the following: BBQ chicken pizza, lasagna, risotto with porcini mushrooms and spaghetti carbonara. The carbonara was with cream and the lasange was a bit average, hence the small deduction, but still very tasty! The pizzas are great and the service is great.

We chose two pasta dishes from the lunch menu for €10.95 - nowhere on the internet does it say that you have to eat the dish in the restaurant. When we wanted to pick it up, we had to pay over €30 for it. When we pointed out that we didn't have a drink with us, but just wanted to take the pasta with us at the stated price for pasta and drink, we were succinctly rejected that the price only applied to the food in the restaurant. ???!!! We've never heard of anything so strange! We politely declined, so we can't judge the quality of the food. When we checked the homepage again, the regular menu showed the same pasta dish without a drink for €5.95 - presumably a children's dish then? This pasta cannot be found anywhere else on the menu!!! You probably don't need to say anything more... underground!!!

We went for dinner in the evening. The service was friendly and quick, and the food, as usual, was very good. The only downside, even for me, was that it was really cold and drafty because of the open doors. If you're sensitive to that, you should ask for a table in the back.

Today, my group of 31 guests and I had the pleasure of dining at L’Osteria. Everything was delicious, but beyond the taste, the friendliness of the staff truly amazed us. We were last there on S., March 22, 2025. The pizzas were great as always, but they had all the doors open at 17 degrees Celsius so the waiters could get in and out faster. They didn't care that the customers in the restaurant were freezing and sitting there in their jackets—if you're moving and working the whole time, that might be okay even at 17 degrees Celsius.

Die 2 Punkte sind für das Essen, welches gut war und für die Größen der Portionen die wirklich groß sind Aber das Verhalten des Services und des Managers waren so schlecht, dass wir mit 15 Personen am liebsten aufgestanden wären und gegangen wären. Angefangen hat das ganze so : Wir haben unser Abendessen bei unserer Geschäftsreise für 1 6 Personen schon Monate im vorraus gebucht. Diese Woche an der der Termin war habe ich den Termin noch 2 mal Rückbestätigt. Als wir dann zu der Uhrzeit hinkamen, wussten diese von nichts und hatten uns einfach vergessen. Sie haben ( da wir alles schriftlich bestätigt hatten) einen Tisch gedeckt für 10 Personen und einen für 4 Personen. -> schon von Anfang an zu wenig Platz für 16 Personen. Ich habe gefragt, ob wir noch einen weiteren für 4 Personen, welcher noch frei war haben können da wir 18 Personen werden und ja 2 Personen schon von haus aus keinen Sitzplatz hatten. Kein Problem wir reservieren den Tisch gerne. Als von uns nun alle 18 Personen da waren ( in den nächsten 15 Minuten) hieß es dann dieser Tisch wäre nun doch nicht mehr frei weil in einer stunde jemand kommen würde . Wir wurden so unfreundlich behandelt und meine Männlichen Kollegen sollten sich laut Manager zu mindestens 6-8 auf einen 4 Personen Tisch setzen. Im Endeffekt lag der Fehler daran, dass wir von Anfang an vergessen wurden und viel zu wenig Platz berechnet wurde. Kunden sollten sich auf engsten Raum zusammen quetschen, damit mehr Tische und mehr Umsatz gemacht werden kann. Kundenfreundlich ist das leider überhaupt nicht.

Food is delicious like everywhere else but service still needs an upgrade

Absolute disappointment! We were a group of 17 people and, as usual in any normal restaurant, we wanted to push tables together to eat together. Even though the restaurant wasn't full, this was strictly refused on the absurd grounds that everyone would then have to be allowed to do so. The “manager” himself insisted on this completely customer-unfriendly rule. Anyone who treats guests like this and voluntarily refuses sales should not work in the catering industry. Damaging to business and simply embarrassing – L’Osteria is finally done for us!
