I was there alone and left again after a good half hour - it went really quickly. The risotto wasn't that special. It could have been cooked a little longer

We were forced to sit inside. When the food finally came after a very long wait, the sauce on the pasta already had a skin on it because the plate had been under the heat lamp for so long. Menu in Italian or English. How stupid is that?

Now I also had the experience of a restaurant that was extremely hostile to children. We wanted to have something to eat with 2 children around 6 p.m. Despite a confirmed online reservation and a restaurant that was almost completely empty inside and out, we were turned away. The employee at the door was apparently totally stressed and personally overwhelmed because of an event at the nearby Dome. The excuses as to why our reservation wasn't worth anything kept changing. We weren't even allowed to stand at Therese. We couldn't understand it. I really understand a restaurant that is waiting for a rush of guests. Not letting anyone in just 1.5 hours in advance, not even with a reservation and then being turned away because of the stupid discussion of two children who were completely crying, was a really lasting experience for me. Strangely enough, there were 2 couples behind us who tried their luck without a reservation. After we left they actually offered to wait 15-20 minutes at Theresen for a table. For me the only explanation is that they didn't want to let children in at that time. At the end there was only the sentence “if you had wished me a nice evening, I might have had a table for you too.” How can you put such an employee at the door as the first point of contact?

We had reserved for 6 people. When we wanted to order, we were told that only pizzas were being prepared and neither salad nor pasta could be ordered. However, we discovered that other tables could and did order salad and pasta. We then had to wait a long time for the pizzas. Two people received their pizzas 15 minutes later than the rest. If the service had been nicer, it might have been easier to ignore. But the pizzas tasted good and we also liked the option of being able to order all pizzas with a vegan cheese alternative.

Unfriendly and apparently not interested in working

Had dinner there with a group before the Supercup. Reservation worked, food was good and nice staff. Gladly again when we are there.

The atmosphere is very nice, nothing can be said. The food was unappetizingly cold. Service was a complete failure, no smiling faces, no hello, no goodbye You won't see me here again.

I recently went to L'Osteria in Düsseldorf with my family and I have to say it was a really successful evening. As soon as we walked in, the friendly staff gave us a warm welcome and led us straight to our table. You immediately felt at home - the atmosphere is super cozy and inviting. The service was really great! The waiters were super attentive and really tried to make sure we didn't miss anything. We never had to wait long for someone to come by to ask if we needed anything else. I particularly liked how child-friendly the staff was. Our daughter was warmly looked after, which of course made it easier for us parents to enjoy the evening. It's not always easy to have a relaxed meal with a child, but everything was perfect here. And then came the highlight of the evening: the pizza! The pizzas at L'Osteria are really huge and taste fantastic. The dough was nice and crispy, the ingredients were fresh and the tomato sauce had just the right amount of spice. Every bite was a delight and I'm sure it was one of the best pizzas I've ever tasted. There are so many different toppings to choose from, everyone can find something they like. What also really impressed us was the great playground outside. Our daughter was able to let off steam there while we drank our coffee in peace. The playground is not only safe, but also really lovingly designed - you can tell that the little ones are being thought of here. This is really a plus point for families! There was a small catch: the waiting time. We had to wait a good 60 minutes for our food, which bothered us a bit. But it's fair to say that the restaurant was pretty full that evening and the staff were still super friendly and helpful. In the end, the delicious food made up for the waiting time. All in all, our visit to L'Osteria was really great. The service, the food and, above all, the child-friendly atmosphere make the restaurant a perfect place for a relaxing evening with the family. The longer wait was a bit of a downer, but we'll definitely be back - the pizza alone is worth it!

The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere is cozy as usual. We were allowed to sit in a pleasantly quiet corner. I ate pasta from the daily/weekly menu. Unfortunately there was no tomato sauce particularly seasoned and the noodles were partly overcooked because different types of noodles were used. Everyone else ate pizza and was happy. There is also a completely vegan pizza, which we also tried and it tasted good. The dessert was consistently delicious. The bruschetta was soggy.

After 45 minutes the bruschetta finally arrived, but only after we asked. Waiter said he had to do it himself (olive oil etc. was missing). Calzone and pasta arrived after a total of 1.5 hours. The tomato sauce was missing from the calzone. This was returned and, at our request, was replaced with a simple salami pizza. Unfortunately, the calzone was subsequently charged for, which was of course more expensive than the salami pizza.

We ate very well, too bad the manager didn't totally agree with the fact that we were going inside to shelter from the rain. Fortunately the waiter and one of the waitresses welcomed us very well and allowed us to eat dry.

So all that's good here is the waiter and the food was just bad. If you go out to eat here you should order pizza, forget about everything else. I ordered a children's spaghetti carbonara for my son and it costs 13 euros. We're used to expensive prices in Hamburg, but the quality of the food is just bad. My glass was full of lip pencil and there was a hair in my daughter's food and the waiting time is so long that you get hungry again. My boys' water was the best. Water for 7.95 euros is amazing. And yes, I checked the prices online beforehand. So I wouldn't go there a second time. Only the waiter was really nice and put a lot of effort into it.

I was there for dinner with a friend. The atmosphere was very relaxed, despite the size of the indoor restaurant. The service was also very relaxed and friendly, even though the shift change was imminent. Food was good, had a starter plate f.2, and then pasta. Starter was very good, pasta was good. Portions were very generous, all in all, recommended if you want to meet up with friends in a relaxed and relaxed way, or if you want to have a nice evening in between. Parking spaces right in front of the door. Playground and outdoor seating. I'd love to come back!

We had the pleasure of being served by Vivi. She was very attentive and friendly. The pizzas were delicious and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We can only warmly recommend Losteria and especially Vivi as an employee!

The place is comfortable and spacious. However, on Tuesday, I had to wait 40 minutes for my food to arrive, which I think is unreasonable. I've been to several other branches and have always experienced long waits for food. I'm not sure what the issue is because it seems there are plenty of staff in the kitchen. As for the food, it's just the usual Losteria taste.

Went to the restaurant for the first time last week with friends. The pizzas and the starter were very tasty. Only the drinks still have room for improvement, especially the Aperol Spitz. I just wouldn't go to this type of restaurant again because I was forced to tip when paying with a card....I had the option of offering 8%...10%...15% etc. to complete the payment. I'm someone who always gives tips, but it's a complete impudence to set the devices like that. That's why I would never go to your branch again, even if the food is great.

We've had enough. These huge pizzas are really over the top in size and border on stomach expanding. I had a salad with tuna but it was missing the dressing and bread. And I also organized the pepper mill myself. The ham and cheese could have been from Netto. I didn't like it. The four of us paid €86. We've been to a L'Osteria three times now, next time we'll go to a real Italian restaurant again.

The food was very good. The pizza is huge so it's really amazing for very hungry people, it hangs about 7cm over the edge of the plate. Our waitress was not only very pretty and nice but also very hardworking. Would come back in a heartbeat if I'm in the area.

Just came back from L' Osteria and had a very nice evening. The reception at the entrance was very friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice. The service, in this case we had Vivi as the waitress, was super nice, extremely professional and always kept an eye on us. In addition, her friendly nature shows that she enjoys her job. You can do it if you have no alternative. In terms of price in relation to the quality - in my opinion significantly overpriced. A lasagne for €15 is more for the very small appetite. I didn't measure it, but maybe 10 x 10 cm and 2 cm high. Other guests also looked frugal when they got the lasagne. The taste is something between frozen lasagne and hot witch at the gas station (for those of you who still know that). Pizzas huge, but very sparingly topped. Service super nice and attentive. Drink selection also great. These come to the table fresh and cold. For my part, I prefer to go to my local Italian restaurant. You can just tell that this is a franchise. Probably everything/a lot of things standardized and out of the ice so that the planning works for both franchise participants. Italian-inspired MC Donalds... But with a much nicer atmosphere. In any case, for me there is no second attempt. My review only reflects my personal impressions. That's not to say that everything is bad. However, the lasagne... it was really, really bad. The internet says open until midnight. We were there at 10 p.m. when we were told that it was already closed and the waiters were chilling at the table. Was just looked at stupidly.

I was there for the first time today L'Osteria on Theodorstrasse in Düsseldorf. The waitress who worked today March 29, 2022 at 3:30 p.m.: dark hair, about 1.75 tall, between 24 and 29 years old: simply a very terrible, unfriendly, reserved, passive way of dealing with customers. You should please do yourself and your customers a favor and look for a job where customer service is not the priority! The waitress in question didn't feel like doing her job and openly showed it to the customers - not just us, by the way, but also the large group she served. She showed this through her looks that she had no control over. So you shouldn't be surprised that you don't get a cent in tips and we always tip as standard because we used to wait tables ourselves and know how important this additional appreciation is. All the more so due to the lockdown and the associated losses that the catering industry had to suffer. The reaction from the waitress was that our “have a nice day” was followed by a silent turn around and she simply left, pissed off. I hope L’Osteria thinks twice about who to hire

We were in the Losteria today on July 22nd, 2024 around 5 p.m. and wanted to sit in the garden and eat because it was quite warm and pleasant outside. Unfortunately, a very unfriendly employee informed us that the outside employee wasn't there yet and we couldn't eat or sit outside. But we could happily wait for the employee inside at the bar. We told the employee again that we wanted to sit "OUTSIDE" and were therefore going to the door. Then we consulted outside and decided to go to another restaurant. We won't be visiting the restaurant again for the time being.

We have been sitting for 30 minutes and are ignored by the waitress.

I would describe us as regulars at this restaurant. I also fully understand that there can be longer waiting times, stress, etc. at peak times. However, our experience on Friday, July 12, 2024 was so bad that I will avoid this restaurant in the future. I would never in my life have been treated as badly in a restaurant as I was that day. It started with the waiter assigned to us completely ignoring our child who was present. Normally we are used to very pleasant interaction with our daughter there; we usually get something painted very quickly. She was of course absolutely disappointed at his ignorance. He ignored us for about 30 minutes until the first order was taken. We sat at a totally dirty table at the time, despite having a reservation He bumped into my chair several times during the evening without reacting or apologizing in any way. He sometimes argued across several tables with other guests or other service staff. Beyond the first order we were completely ignored. Our pizza was finally ready after 1.5 hours, but it was only lukewarm. There was only a hint of parmesan on my arugula pizza, which was sad considering the price. Numerous tables around us had long since been finished and were served well before us. Afterwards we just wanted to leave. The remains of my pizza were crammed into a box that was much too small, something I've never experienced there before. We had to wait again until we could finally pay. After paying, he turned around without comment and didn't even say goodbye. I've really never experienced anything like this. Our evening was totally ruined. Anyone can have a bad day, but if you have such antipathy towards other people, maybe another job would be better.

The L'Osteria has a great atmosphere and delicious food, whether salads, pizzas or pasta dishes. The palate is pampered here. My recommendation 😋👍🏼

Despite the busyness of an event, the staff at L’Osteria were perfectly able to manage the number of guests. Although we couldn't get a table, the staff were friendly and offered us takeaway options while we waited at the bar with a drink. Compliments to the main waiter who had everything under control. In the end we were even allowed to eat our take-away order at an outside table. Well done!

Not again. We spontaneously got a place with eleven people. We were told that we had 1 hour. It wasn't our fault that we didn't get out again after an hour. Everything took a very long time. Our orders were taken quite late and it was half an hour before we got drinks. It had been 1 hour and 15 minutes before we got our food, and we were only served the food when we asked because we had been forgotten. It took a long time until everyone had their food because the food was served every 10 minutes and sometimes the wrong orders came. We were only able to order something again when we asked if we could get drinks again. The vegetarian/vegan pizza had salami on it and another simply had a hole in the pizza. Paying also took at least half an hour after we spoke to the waiters again. We were in the restaurant for about 3 1/2 hours, although we would have liked to have finished after the 1 hour. The toilets were very unclean, there was no soap or toilet paper, everything was spread out on the floor. In addition, the staff argued among themselves the whole time. Both service staff and kitchen staff in front of the guests. One waitress was also very unfriendly to us, although the others were very nice. I don't have a problem with having to wait longer for food, but I've never had such extensive problems in a restaurant. We were able to find the same problems in other reviews and were able to determine that this visit was probably not an isolated case. Unfortunately not a recommendation!

A very nice location. Food tasted very good, even if I got a slightly different pizza than the one I wanted. Our service was very friendly and accommodating. The only drawback was the antipasti plate. For the quantity that was there and the fact that no bread/baguette was served with it, the price was, in my opinion, significantly too high. It's okay but unfortunately not anymore. The salad was missing nuts and one dish was wrong. Something was missing from the pizza too. Starters expensive and only cold things from the display case. We won't be coming back

We arrived in Düsseldorf late in the evening with my family and we were looking for a place to eat near our airport hotel. This one in particular seemed to have very good reviews and we didn’t think it would be that good because we found it last minute. We ordered some appetizers and the waiter was very kind and understanding since we wanted to customize an item in their menu (we have picky eaters in our family) They asked us what we wanted to be served first and offered us their favorites from the restaurant. We waited for quite a long time for the food to come and it was absolutely excellent!! The pizza seemed big at first but it was just the right size. Strongly recommended if you’re in Düsseldorf!

Luckily we had reserved and were able to get a seat with one more person, even though it was extremely full due to an event in the PSD cathedral a few meters away. That's why we had to wait longer for the food, but since we had time, it wasn't a big deal. The atmosphere is great, the European Championships will also be broadcast there. The toilets in the upper area are not so well ventilated because there are no windows there. In return you get a short Italian course as a band announcement, which I think is very nice. It's something different. The staff was super friendly. The pizzas are huge, but manageable as the base is very thin. The Insalata Manza was also very tasty. Maybe it would be appropriate to put up a few more umbrellas as it is quite hot in full sun 🌞.
