L'Osteria Düsseldorf Berliner Allee in Düsseldorf

First of all, we were a very large group. The food, especially the pizzas and pasta, was excellent as always. The service was courteous and usually quite fast. What bothered us a bit was that the pasta dishes arrived very quickly, and then the pizzas arrived well after the people had finished their pasta dishes. Yes, I can understand that the number of pizzas at once is difficult, but it worked out wonderfully that they arrived at exactly the same time. But it was a bit of a shame that the pasta dishes came so much earlier. With a group of 20 people, you should regularly ask if they would like more drinks, or even suggesting drinks is always a good idea. That would have certainly sold one or two more wines and beers. Or espressos, but since there was a long wait for those, most of the group decided against dessert and coffee, which is just a shame for a restaurant. We went somewhere else afterward, but I would have been happy for L'osteria to have the profit.

We decided to sit outside here on a Saturday evening and have something to eat and drink. The osteria was almost full, so we were lucky to get a table. Service was quick considering how busy the restaurant was. We got our drinks very quickly, the food took half an hour to arrive, and the taste and portion size were good.

The wait was horrible. I sat alone and was ignored by every server. Every table around me, even though almost everyone arrived after me, was served immediately. To me, that's simply terrible service! I shouldn't have made the long journey to this restaurant...

Great atmosphere, but the service was so slow. I waited about 30 minutes just to pay. The tiramisu was still frozen inside; there are better ones.

I was at Losteria recently and I have to say, the service was absolutely disastrous! You'd think the waiters were having a secret eating contest to see how long they could ignore a customer. I waited a full 40 minutes for a basket of bread, and while my drinks vanished into thin air, the waiters seemed to have won a contest at 'pretending nobody's there.' Disastrous, especially; the blonde girl with the nose bike has no business being in a restaurant. I won't even get started on the food. -1 star.

I ate there alone today. My dish was completely oversalted and inedible. I told someone and sent the food back. They then gave me a cappuccino, but I still had to pay for the food, even though it wasn't edible, and I returned it. Very poor service, unfortunately.

Caesar's salad was soooo poor, a few lettuce leaves, half of which was spoiled, the chicken was dry and tough, there weren't many people there but we kept the food for about 1 hour. I have eaten in many L’Osteria and have always been satisfied, but here the price does not correspond to the quality and quantity of the food

Nice big pizza, but servise is terible, pizza is not cuted right and dish is smaler than pizza so its touching dirty table. Vaiter was mean and she touched our pizza with dirty hand.

The food was really delicious, as were the cocktails! We ordered a spaghetti bolognese and a calabrese pizza and everything was cooked perfectly. I was particularly impressed by the size of my pizza: it was so big that it went over the edge of the plate, but the dough was still thin and crispy, just the way I like it. The service was also excellent: the waitress was very friendly and polite, which made the experience even more pleasant. A great discovery.

Today was very busy and we had to wait a long time for our food. We wanted to cancel and were upset. The employee listened to us in his positive manner and gave us our food for free. To sweeten the evening we were given sweets. Thank you very much for that and I hope it works out next time so that we can enjoy our food there.

Very nice shop. Huge pizza at a good price and performance ratio. The staff are very friendly and small extra requests are no problem either 😉. The only negative thing is that the restaurant is on the main street. Really recommended

Very tasty food and wonderful service

Ordered salad with pollo. Little dressing at the bottom. Salad wasn't mixed and the dressing seemed dry. The chicken was dry and lukewarm. This portion has definitely been in the kitchen somewhere for a while.

Extremely slow and rude service. We waited for our food over half an hour and the bill as well. Also, instead of getting the bill, we were asking if we would like to order a coffee instead.

The owner (?) hangs at the counter with his cell phone and simply says “you have to look outside for a seat”, then sat outside at some point and was smoking. It just smelled like a drain outside, no matter what area. Drinks and salad came quickly, we waited over an hour for our food. When it arrived there was a dish with chicken instead of shrimp, and the notice said it would take 5 minutes. After a while I spoke to a service person, but somehow nothing really happened. It took almost 25 minutes for the corrected food to arrive. The shrimp weren't even fully cooked. My food was cold when my friend's food came. We then quickly asked for the bill, received a half-hearted “sorry,” no “compensation” or anything else.

Today I was in this pizzeria and would like to share my impressions. It was a disappointing evening. We waited over an hour for the pizza. The pizza was very thin, with little toppings and extremely dry edges, cherry lemonade - sweet water with a cherry flavor. Toilets are not cleaned. I can't recommend this place and I won't go there again.

The food was great. All in all, really delicious. Price/performance ratio is good, even if we found the lasagna a bit small. Our waiter was very friendly and there was also some joking around. It was really great. The only stupid thing was that it was very loud and I basically had to scream at my wife.

We went to Loseria for dinner and ordered two pastas. I ordered pasta with basil and shrimp, and my husband ordered carbonara. For the first time I see that Italians spared sauce and Parmesan for pasta. The quality of the pasta was worse than what my child cooks at home. Thank God the shrimp were cooked well enough. The carbonara didn't even have parmesan, the sauce was runny, as if they had just poured cream on top of the pasta. Service is something separate. We begged for a table to be found for us, after which the waiter took the order as if we had not come to the restaurant, but as if we had come to his home. When I asked him to bring salt and pepper, he looked at me as if I owed him something or got him something. In general, the restaurant is atmospheric, but the cuisine and service have deteriorated greatly. We gave this place a second chance but no longer. For this reason, I do not recommend visiting this Losteria!!!!

I visited L'Osteria on Berliner Allee and would like to share my experiences. The location is attractively designed and the open kitchen provides a nice insight. Service was friendly but there were some minor misunderstandings with orders. I tried the Pomodoro with Burrata, which was good, but a little more flavor wouldn't have hurt. However, the pizzas with mushrooms and the vegetarian version were better. Overall it was a pleasant visit and I would happily return.

The bruschetta starter for 4 people was served without an extra plate, so you had to make sure not to spill everything on the table. The spaghetti carbonara was very dry and had almost no sauce, and the bread that was ordered with it was forgotten. The fork that was dropped by the staff was only complained about after we asked. So far the worst L'osteria branch I've been to.

After a lovely day full of shopping in Düsseldorf, my sister and I were looking forward to ending the day with a delicious Italian pizza. Full of anticipation, we entered the L’Osteria restaurant - a large, stylishly furnished room that was almost empty at the time, as most of the guests were sitting outside on the sunny terrace. We looked for a place inside and sat comfortably next to each other on one of the benches. While we were still looking at the menu, we were suddenly approached by a gentleman who we didn't initially recognize as an employee - casually dressed, heavily tattooed, unkempt and with a noticeably tired look. In an extremely unfriendly tone he instructed us to change seats, without giving any understandable reason. When we politely asked if he was actually talking to us, since the entire interior was empty, he responded with even more annoyance. I calmly explained that we were happy to sit here as long as there was no need to change seats and that we just wanted to enjoy our pizza in peace. But the employee didn't let up and became increasingly unpleasant and unprofessional. We finally decided to leave the restaurant so as not to allow ourselves to be dragged further down to this disrespectful level. Unfortunately, the man accompanied us to the door in an unpleasant manner, continued to talk to us and even said that he wouldn't allow something like that to happen at our house - to which I could only answer him that he wasn't at home either, but at a job for which he obviously had neither the necessary politeness nor the personal suitability. This encounter was so unpleasant and invasive that we felt seriously threatened. If I hadn't wanted to have my day ruined, I would have considered calling the police. One thing is clear to me: I will not go to this restaurant again and I cannot recommend it, especially to women - especially not if they appear self-confident or simply look good. The employee in question should urgently consider another job.

Food was delicious and pizzas were GINORMOUS! Great atmosphere, extremely busy, service was a little slow due to it being a busy Friday night but nothing to complain about. Pizza ordered was very large and thin. Tasted very good but was too much for me.

It can't be true. For two pizzas you have to allow at least 45 minutes and that's neither Friday evening nor on the weekend!!!

I reserved a table for four people for Saturday evening. Unfortunately we could only order two pizzas because the table was so small that there was simply no room for them. The waiter was by far the rudest person I encountered this week. I called him three times, he saw me but just ignored me. The food came in perfect timing - pizza and pasta were there at the same time, everything was hot and tasted really excellent. But we had no cutlery, no napkins, no salt, no pepper, no sauce - nothing. The cuisine was great, but the terrible service unfortunately ruined the whole experience. It's a shame about the good work of the kitchen!

You can probably only eat pizza well at this Italian restaurant. You can completely forget about the pasta dishes. The food was almost cold and the sauce on the pasta had already dried out.

We went to Lostaria and it was an absolute disaster. We ordered and were completely ignored for over an hour. No drinks, no food, nothing - even though the restaurant wasn't even particularly full. Only after we asked ourselves did anyone even come up with the idea of ​​serving us. Absolutely disorganized and rude. Completely unacceptable for a restaurant in this price range. We definitely won't be coming back!

Great pizza taste size is XL, nice restaurant and bar. For a casual lunch or dinner , waiters were friendly , we just had to wait a little bit because a large group just ordered before us, but they were nice enough to let us know order will take a specific time.

Absolutely rubbish. I reserved a spot because I was fasting and wanted to break it with my friends. We were 5 minutes late. The Ayri at the reception said we had to wait 30 minutes. We reserved a spot until 8 p.m. and we have to wait. The guy should brush his teeth first. Absolutely rubbish and unfriendly staff. At the end, we sat down, and he just sent us out, what an Ayri.

You can eat very well in this restaurant. You can take up seats outside, inside on the ground floor or on the first floor. Due to the creative furnishings, there is a good feel-good atmosphere even if the ceiling is missing and pipes can be discovered. There were 5 of us and we each ordered a tuna, Margherita and salami pizza and after just a few minutes it was served at the table. The pizzas are huge, tasty but unfortunately the base is quite thin. For the price of €15 you can share a pizza with another person. As a guest you have a clear view of the kitchen, where the pizzas are baked in several ovens. Payment can be made in cash or via smartphone, which is a quick process.

I was with you on Saturday lunchtime with my girlfriend. Even though it was really full, we felt completely comfortable. Attentive service, the noodles were great and the house strawberry lemonade is highly recommended.

Good pizza, but service is not worth the visit. There is unfortunately not any person who knows how to work as a waiter. Drinks do not appear, people have no style. This is simply to expensive for service like this. I was very disappointed

We went to L'Osteria on Sunday evening and like all the other restaurants in this chain it was good. The service was quick, the decor was stylish and cozy as usual and the pizzas were delicious. Here you know what you're getting: it's not an exceptionally outstanding meal/"experience", but it's really tasty and the value for money is also right.

Waited an hour for food here. When numerous customers who arrived later got their food before me, I asked what was wrong, i got told pasta takes longer to cook than pizza and if I wanted quicker food go to McDonalds. I know pasta takes 10 mins to cook…the same as pizza. Service appalling.

Terrible! We ordered gnocchi with shrimps for 16 euros and ended up getting half a portion with only 3 shrimps. I can't recommend it at all!

This is the second time I've been there and it was definitely better than the first time. Service and food was much better. On my first visit I had to wait a really long time and unfortunately the food only came after about 90 minutes. This time everything happened quite quickly.

L'Osteria Düsseldorf on Berliner Allee impresses with huge portions, especially when it comes to pizza. Quality, service and drinks are solid but could still be improved. The atmosphere is inviting. Price-performance is okay, but more attention to detail would be desirable. Overall, a good but expandable experience.

I advise against it. When placing the order, I asked about the waiting time, the waiter said 15 minutes because there was no traffic. We waited 35 minutes and I still didn't get the order. When I said I was leaving, the manager was arrogant.

I waited more than 30 minutes for a pizza. I wasn't the only one who waited so long. The pizza didn't taste like it was frozen pizza. Service is too slow, it took 10 minutes for payment. The waiters are super nice. Ambiance is 10/10.

Super bad organization. We were sent upstairs and then after 20 minutes someone came and said we were only allowed to sit on the left side and order. Now we waited unnecessarily and were treated unkindly!!!

Matted hair residue in the salad! We are absolutely shocked by what happened to us at this pizzeria. In our salad we found old, matted hair residues in the form of a lump - an unmistakable sign of serious hygiene deficiencies. We've never seen anything like it before, and just the sight of it was beyond disgusting. The waitress, who was generally friendly, was also horrified. However, we were unable to speak to a responsible person. The restaurant manager was apparently on a “talk” all evening and therefore unavailable to us. There did not appear to be any plans to deal with this incident professionally. We very much hope that the restaurant takes this blatant hygiene incident seriously and carefully examines the causes. Until then, we will definitely avoid this store and cannot recommend it under the current conditions.

Unfortunately, waiting times are always very long. We placed our order and after 45 minutes asked the waiter where our food was. He explained to us that his machine was broken and that's why our order (strangely just ours) wasn't sent. Only after we asked him about it was it processed - and we had to wait another 20 minutes until we finally got our two pizzas. If we hadn't said anything, they probably would have kept us waiting for hours.

Nice service and delicious, huge pizza

I went there with my colleagues. The pizzas are giant and the Cesar salad is delicious specially when you ask to add some goat cheese to that.🤤 the staff is also really nice.

We were served quickly with an online reservation and received a warm welcome. We were able to order quickly and had our delicious food on the table within a few minutes. We expected something different on a Friday evening - really great! We have nothing to complain about...

Unfortunately it was very loud and the tables were too small. There were four of us and the food didn't come at the same time. Two of them were almost finished eating before the others got their food. Food was lukewarm and the beef fillet was not good.

Great and delicious food with great service 😋 This place has whatever you need to enjoy your meal. Great and cosy atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious foods. The pizza portions are big and have a fair price and you should try their risotto. It's very delicious.

Ate there in December and it was brilliant. Went there last night and it was terrible! Same pizza as ordered in December, but yesterday it was inedible. The pizzas came before the drinks (impossible) and when we complained about the pizzas the waiter did not accept our criticism and responded in a rude manner with excuses!!! No apology, no insight...this store will never see us again!!!

Very tasty meal. Thin base for the pizza, but very tasty. The service was very good! It was a lot less noisy downstairs than upstairs. The staff toilet is downstairs. And above the toilet for customers.

Good pizza but the place is far from quiet

The service really depends on who is serving. Yesterday (8 Feb) different and younger than what we are used to. We come for dinner every 2 weeks, so it is immediately noticeable.

Unfortunately, that was nothing at all! We reserved a table for 11 people for a company party. We also got the table and that was it for the positive! We sat upstairs directly across from the counter and were ignored for the first 15 minutes and nothing happened. After asking several times if we could order drinks, someone finally came. Unfortunately, the house beer was still in the cellar and had to be fetched. We had to wait another 20 minutes for the drinks! The Moscow Mule was a disaster! The menu stated that it would be served with lime and cucumber. Unfortunately, a stale drink came in a glass and not in a copper cup with lemon and no cucumber! This was returned but the gentleman behind the counter was visibly angry and tried to explain that it was done exactly that way but there was no lime in the house! The dishes arrived after about an hour and were not what you would expect from L'Osteria! The pizza with salicca was a disgrace because it was normal salami and not the “sausage spread” as usual. One person in the group also ordered the vegetarian pizza and asked them to leave out the onions and get more olives instead. The onions were left out and there were 4 olives on the pizza! The bruscetta was soggy and had no taste! All in all, the evening was not as usual! It's also a disgrace that the Aperol Spritz costs €6.25 below and €7.75 above!!! If only the service was good! Unfortunately we won't be coming back! And the whole thing for just under €500.00.

It's a very pleasant place, the employees are very sweet, the lasagna was good, but I regret not trying the pizza.

I quite enjoy going to L'Osteria, but I've had the worst L'Osteria pizza ever at this restaurant. The dough was already burnt in many places and my Ceaser Pizza consisted mainly of lettuce with little to no chicken strips. So there is still a lot of potential for improvement!

Very cozy atmosphere, friendly service and huge, delicious portions. The pizza bases are paper-thin and crispy, the pineapple was fresh and definitely not from a can.

The service is a disaster. Waiters are unable to take an order, very confused and don't understand German. I would never spend a cent here.

Had dinner at L’Osteria Düsseldorf a couple of nights ago and really enjoyed it! The cozy vibe and friendly staff made us feel right at home. Their Pizzas are rich and perfectly cooked. A wide selection of food and drinks. Service was spot-on, and the tiramisu was a dream. Great food, great atmosphere—definitely a must-visit! It was a delightful experience.
