Our booking apparently wasn't recorded, but the staff member was very helpful and quickly assigned us a table. We were able to confirm the reservation via email. The place is nice, the chairs are comfortable, but you sit crammed in like chickens. This was probably because it was New Year's Eve, so it was a bit busier. The pizza was delicious, no complaints there. Even the tiny salad tasted good. What was very, very annoying was the enormous noise level. A conversation was only possible by shouting... and if everyone did that, it would get even louder. It was awful... Our drinks were finished, but we couldn't get hold of the server, and no one followed up. So we just ordered one set of drinks. The restroom needs renovation; the dispenser in the toilet is broken and hanging loose. Despite this, the service was very friendly!

They were completely out of sorts on New Year's Eve. Despite having a reservation, we waited 20 minutes for our table. Our beer finally arrived after half an hour. Bottled beer, it can't be that difficult. The pizza came after an hour. Meanwhile, the door was constantly open and it got freezing cold, and nobody seemed to care. Simply catastrophic, terribly organized. The server, however, was actually quite nice.

We are a Spanish family on holiday in Germany. My experience has been terrible. We made a reservation in person for dinner on December 31st, having already eaten there the night before, as the pizzeria is right next to our hotel. Despite having a reservation, due to their mistake, they didn't have it on record, although they did remember us, as the waitress kept mentioning us. After waiting an hour because they were so busy, they offered us no other options. The only solution was for the whole family to eat standing at the bar instead of being treated like the other people who arrived later and were given a table. Unacceptable.

L'Osteria is a great place for anyone who loves large, delicious pizzas and fresh pasta. The selection of toppings is varied, and the quality of the ingredients is excellent. The giant pizzas are a particular highlight and perfect for groups or those with a big appetite. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is inviting and relaxing. Highly recommended for a cozy evening with friends or family.

Nice location, but had a very bad experience. Ordering went fairly quickly (within 20 minutes). After that, the two of us had to wait over 70 minutes for a pizza. Meanwhile, a cook in the kitchen was fired, which was clearly visible and probably caused us to finally get our pizza after waiting so long, and it was also ice cold. We tried to explain this to the staff, who kept saying they were coming. Because we had already waited so long and were hungry, we decided to eat the pizza anyway. It's a shame, because aside from the cold pizza and the long wait, the pizza would probably have been quite good.

The pizzas are amazingly sized, about 50 centimeters in diameter, bigger than the plates. The pasta is plentiful and delicious.

Things like this make delivering food to customers a terrible experience.

I generally like this osteria, but unfortunately, our visit on the evening of December 14th significantly tarnished our impression. The food tasted good and the ambiance was pleasant. However, numerous mistakes were made, and the service was simply awful. Despite the relatively small number of guests, the wait for the pizzas was around 45 minutes. Two bruschetta that had been ordered and confirmed were initially incomplete; the second had to be specifically requested and only arrived along with the main courses. Several ingredients were missing from the Pizza Degli Artisti, which were listed on the menu and bill and were charged extra (including basil, mushrooms, and onions). Furthermore, the toppings were very sparse. A particularly unpleasant incident occurred towards the end of our visit: Despite our direct request to eat the remaining slice of pizza, a plate was simply taken away immediately after we finished eating it and then replaced with dirty dishes. I was speechless. Precisely because we have stayed here several times before, it is all the more disappointing that our objective written feedback has gone unanswered and that such a situation could even arise. I don't know if we will return.

We waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for our food. After repeatedly asking, we were told “5 minutes.” We waited another 15 minutes, then were told the pizza hadn’t even made it to the oven yet and to “just wait 2 more minutes.” Service was horrible. No communication, no apology, nothing. During the wait, three kitchen staff were standing around eating food while only one chef was actually cooking, despite multiple orders coming in. We eventually walked out without receiving any food and went to McDonald’s, where we received our burgers within 5 minutes. Absolutely pathetic restaurant with terrible staff and service. Train your staff better. Will not be coming back. . Completely unacceptable service.

Went to the restaurant for my last day in Germany with my friends to have a nice meal. And was absolutely disappointed. Didn’t even get my food after waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes. I wanted a nice full belly for my 23 hour flight home and instead I got half a drink of flat soda and horrible service from a waitress that could not even do her job. Unless you are happy to wait 1 hour and 45 mins and not get your food, then i would not recommend.

Yesterday, my daughter and I went to this restaurant. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait 20 minutes. We were then given a table right by the door, where my feet were freezing cold. I had let them know, and they told us she would let us know as soon as a table became available, but unfortunately, that didn't happen, even though tables did become free. As for the pizza, the toppings were okay, but the crust was far too thin, almost like a biscuit. Very disappointing! Then, to top it all off, I ordered an Aperol Spritz, which was served in the wrong glass. It tasted like water, with hardly any alcohol. I complained to the waitress, who rudely took it away. I then got a new one, which was fine. I was absolutely dissatisfied with the service. The atmosphere was okay, which is a real shame because I've been there several times before and never had these problems. This time, I have to say I'm very disappointed. 😞

Worst place ever!! Waiters are overwhelmed, clumsy, and unfriendly. Constant staff turnover, and you can never reach anyone by phone, or they just switch it off!! They argue amongst themselves or have loud discussions in front of customers! The food should be great, but even that's always problematic. One star would be too much!!!

We were a group of 16 people who had made a reservation. Initially, there wasn't enough space. However, the staff quickly provided a table and chairs. Our orders were taken promptly. Of the pizzas we ordered (Tinno, BBQ, and Prosciutto), four were completely covered in spicy sauce! And this had already been done in the kitchen, as the staff confirmed when we inquired! It was inedible and caused stomach problems later that evening! No one had specifically ordered a spicy pizza. There was even hot sauce on the table. The staff showed no willingness to accommodate us. The service deteriorated as the evening progressed, and there were far too few servers. I've never sat in a restaurant and felt like I was dying of thirst at my table. It was very disappointing. In conclusion: I would never set foot in that restaurant again. I've been a customer of this chain twice in the last few months (Dormagen and Mönchengladbach), but I've never experienced anything like this.

We were there with a group of 16 people. The service was friendly and attentive at first. The food was good, except for the inexplicably spicy prosciutto/barbecue pizza. The server kindly offered cold milk. However, at the end, despite our attempts to signal for service, no one stopped serving us. A real shame!

That evening there was only one waiter, who offered us two tables, both of which were reserved. Since we had a toddler with us whom we needed to feed (and the waiter only brought a high chair after 20 minutes and a second request), moving was understandably difficult. The waiter was completely overwhelmed, which is understandable if he has to run the place alone. But then the manager should also be honest and not let just anyone in and should honestly say they're full. But at Lostaria, it's all about profit.

There are many L'Osterien locations, and this is the first one on Jahnstrasse. The pizza was as large and delicious as ever. The service was very friendly, and they even packed up the leftovers for me. The atmosphere was solid and pleasant. Definitely great.

It was our first time there. Around 4:00 PM, the restaurant was practically empty except for two tables. So, not very busy. The side salad we ordered (as a starter) arrived very quickly. Shortly after, my wife's perfectly al dente pasta dish was served. The pizzas we ordered for our daughter and me arrived 20 minutes later and were unfortunately cold. This is somewhat puzzling, as the restaurant was truly empty. Guests at the next table, who arrived later, received their pizzas first. The cold pizza was presumably put back in the oven and reheated. Taste-wise, it was passable, but it had very few toppings. The garlic oil that was brought to our table had little to do with garlic oil. It just made the pizza oily. We've never experienced this at other L'osterias. A shame.

Dear Team, the food was good, and the service was also fine, even though it took a while at first to be able to place our order with Susan. What really bothered me, and what I witnessed firsthand, was that you bribe guests with a free dessert in exchange for a 5-star review that includes the server's name. That's a shame! If you, or Susan, resort to such tactics, please do so discreetly, without the guest at the next table (in this case, me) noticing. It doesn't reflect well on you. Sorry!

I went there with my mother, and we were both extremely disappointed. The restaurant was so cold that we didn't even want to sit down. The pizza we received had hardly any toppings, far too little cheese, and was completely cold – that's really the bare minimum you'd expect. On top of that, we had to wait about 25 minutes, even though it was practically empty. Overall, the visit was a very bad experience for both of us and we definitely wouldn't recommend it.

We recently visited L’Osteria and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. Upon arrival, we were able to sit down immediately, but it took about 20-30 minutes before anyone took our order. After that, we had to wait almost 50 minutes for our pizzas. I asked a few times if it would be much longer, but when the pizzas finally arrived, they were burnt and the dough was very hard. At the end, when we wanted to pay, we had to wait another 20 minutes before anyone even came. Only when we got up did a server come to take our payment. Overall, the service was very slow and the quality of the food was unsatisfactory. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant in its current state.

I ordered a pizza for over €20 through Uber Eats. I ordered the "Tinno" pizza and added a few toppings. What arrived? Just the pizza with the toppings. No tonno, no onions! Who checks this stuff? I waited over an hour, then it arrived cold, and then it was the wrong thing. Uber Eats is only offering a €6 refund because only one part is missing. The whole reason I ordered this pizza is missing. And then nobody answers the phone. I won't be ordering from you again.

Just ordered two pizzas. They were delivered on time, and the quality is good. BUT, if I order a Pizza Prosciutto, I don't want to have to hunt for the ham on the pizza. To be fair, I did call the restaurant, and they took my complaint seriously…

Excellent service – the server took plenty of time for us. No waiting for a table. Good food. We had pizza, which was huge, and the dips were delicious. I would definitely order the dessert again.

Unfortunately, we had two bad experiences out of three visits. The first visit was great. On the second visit, at our table of six, we couldn't change our order from three small bottles of water to one large bottle because the "order had already been sent." The order was sent to the bar, which was located about a meter behind the server (or so the server explained). Why they couldn't simply tell the bartender that we needed one large bottle instead of three small ones remains a mystery. On our third visit, my colleague and I ordered a pizza and a salad to go. The pizza was ready very quickly, but the salad wasn't ready for 25 minutes. The employee at the salad station was repeatedly given free rein, fetching more salad before processing orders for tables that arrived after us. In the end, my pizza had to go back in the oven because it was already cold by the time the salad was finally ready. There was also a problem with a split bill. Three colleagues had to help the woman who had initially served us. Only then could the bill be split. That took even longer. In short: 40 minutes for two takeaway lunches. I didn't enjoy the pizza either, because 10 minutes later I had to go straight to my next appointment. That ruined my lunch break. This third visit will be my last at the Jahnstrasse branch. What a shame.

After three hours, my delivery still hasn't arrived. At the same time, the restaurant isn't answering the phone to even provide a status update. It's a chain restaurant with no delivery system.

You could immediately tell that this employee puts her heart and soul into her work. I haven't been served food with such attentiveness, friendliness, and cheerfulness in a long time. We've been there several times now, but I can't recommend it. Ordering by phone was incredibly unfriendly, the service in the store was horrible. The pizza was completely burnt and black, a real joke. We were there again today after two years. The manager was baking the pizza without gloves, without a head covering, and without a lab coat. Really strange. We walked through the entrance because there was no one around who could give us a table. He shouted after us to wait at the door. Totally overwhelmed. Better change the man.
