L'Osteria in Dresden

We would gladly return to Dresden to enjoy the Italian dishes at Osteria! The best calzone pizza! The lasagna with its wine-marinated meat is exceptional!

Great huge pizza. The price-performance ratio is consistent. The staff was very friendly.

Unfortunately we waited over an hour for our food and then only 5 of 9 dishes came, yes we were a large group. The other dishes only came 40 minutes later when asked. The music was extremely loud so the conversations were of course louder, which wasn't particularly pleasant.

I was there with my partner, my sister, her husband and their little 1 year old daughter. The service was really great, they always made sure that everything was done as quickly as possible when something was missing, for example the children's chair and when something new was ordered. The only thing that could be worked on is the portion sizes. My partner had a very small portion (with crayfish) which filled him up, but unfortunately it didn't last long. Mine too (lasagna) was pretty small and so was my sister's carbonara. And a big compliment to our waitress (unfortunately I don't know the name, about 1.70cm with blonde hair and a ponytail), she did a really great job and maintained her professionalism under stress and was always super polite and friendly. However, all in all, it was our first time on Wilsdruffer Str. in DD, we were very satisfied and would be happy to come back.

The price-performance ratio is always top and we had very nice service. A very cool offer is that you can order two different pizza halves together at no extra charge.

It was my second visit. I'm excited again.

Table reserved in the morning for 9 p.m. in the evening, arrived at 8:55 p.m. and was told we had to wait... Thanks for nothing! Went somewhere else.

I love the “L’Osteria” store! Every time I discover something new, creative and absolutely unique. The selection of sustainable products and lovingly designed designs is simply special. You can tell how much passion goes into this. The service is friendly and helpful - you immediately feel welcome. Absolutely recommended for anyone looking for something special!

We went to L’Osteria in Dresden and had an overall successful visit! The pizzas are really huge - you should definitely be hungry or consider sharing a pizza. The taste was excellent: crispy edges, fresh ingredients and a very tasty topping. The pasta that was served at another table also looked very appetizing - we'll definitely try some of that next time. The central location in the middle of the city is ideal, especially if you want something good to eat after strolling through Dresden. Despite the busyness, the service was very attentive, friendly and quick. You immediately feel welcome and in good hands. The ambience is also modern and cozy - perfect for a meal with friends, family or as a couple.

Everything was once again very good, for us the best restaurant in the city👍😀

Always worthwhile! Delicious food and good service.

We ate at this L'Osteria on April 25th, 2025 at 7:45 p.m. with the family (parents, three adult children and each partner). I had reserved the table several weeks in advance. When making the reservation, I was also able to choose to have certain drinks on the table when we arrived. I chose two different bottles here and was pleased with this service. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the restaurant on time, a different picture emerged. The reservation was quickly found in the system, but not a single table was free. The planning staff can only be advised to have the purpose of a reservation explained to them again. With a reservation you want to ensure that you get a suitable table when you arrive at the restaurant. Instead, we were told to “wait a moment longer.” If I had wanted to wait for "my" table, I would have come without a reservation. In addition, there was of course no “waiting area”. So we had to wait eight people in the middle of the entrance area between the bar and the door and right in the path of the waiters. The -- quite loud -- music playing throughout the guest room didn't make communication any easier. It was only after more than 20 minutes and another request from the staff that we were assigned a table. Given the above, it is not surprising that the “pre-ordered” drinks were completely missing from the table. The service at the place was friendly and attentive to the normal extent - apart from a "double order taking" because the previous order was accidentally not saved/deleted. A pleasant surprise after the initial debacle. The food met expectations and was okay and tasty. Hence the two stars awarded for the food and service at the place. However, three stars deducted for the fact that the start of the evening was so unprofessional.

The food and the price-performance ratio are great, but the very annoyed service was really unpleasant, as was the table that was far too small for 4 people and huge pizzas and was always positioned in such a way that you were sitting in the way, getting jostled and there was simply no mood.

The service is sensational, the waiter is attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and organized. The food is very tasty and well seasoned. Special praise goes to the Limonata at L'Osteria, extremely refreshing and tasty!

Unfortunately, my worst L’Osteria experience to date. The food was good as always, but the service was completely overwhelmed. I will not visit this branch again. Food: 8/10 Service (friendliness): 8/10 Service (efficiency): 4/10 Ambience: 9/10 Value for money: 7/10 Overall impression: 5/10 I was at L’Osteria Dresden in 2023 – on a Saturday evening, with a reservation. I've been to many different L'Osteria branches, e.g. B. in the very first one in Nuremberg and for me L’Osteria is actually a guarantee for good food and stable processes. But here it was unfortunately the complete opposite. Despite reserving a table, we had to wait at the entrance for over 20 minutes because there was no one at the reception. The queue was long and all the service staff were visibly overwhelmed and as if they were frightened. It was immediately noticeable that far too few staff were deployed. And that ran like a common thread through the entire evening. We had a bruschetta, a Caesar Pollo pizza, a wheat and the homemade iced tea. Everything tastes good – as you know from L’Osteria – but: We waited an unusually long time for food. The pizza only arrived after about an hour, and the starter was served afterwards, with another 30-minute wait. The atmosphere was, as always, very pleasant – stylish, lively, with good distance between the tables. There's nothing to complain about. The friendliness of the staff was also consistently positive - they remained very professional and polite despite the stressful situation. A big compliment to the team for that. But the biggest point of criticism remains: the organization. Too few staff for a Saturday evening, no structure at the reception, long waiting times - that's just not the level that I usually know from L'Osteria. Especially if you know other branches (e.g. the one in Prague) where the service is completely reliable on the same day of the week. As for the price: it's just about reasonable for a L'Osteria, but it's really at the absolute limit. I understand that you pay a little extra for the L'Osteria experience - stylish location, great food, brand charm - but there's not much room for improvement. If the portions became smaller or the prices increased even further, it would no longer be justified for me. It's okay in this form, but it's really the maximum I'm willing to pay for a L'Osteria. Conclusion: For me, this was unfortunately the worst L'Osteria experience I've ever had - not because of the food, but because of the chaotic processes. I will not visit this branch in Dresden again. Maybe I'll try the other L'Osteria in Dresden, but definitely not this one anymore.

Actually quite good... Unfortunately, we ended up waiting almost 45 minutes until we could pay (we still had somewhere to go) We also said again and again that we would like to pay and again and again they said, “We’ll get the colleague.”

The three of us and a small four-legged friend were there for lunch at the beginning of April and were absolutely thrilled! The food (1 Pizza de Mare & 2 Pasta de Mare) was the finest and there was plenty on the plate. I would like to give special praise to the service! According to the receipt, we were served by a Mr. "Pavli". He was extremely attentive, funny and very friendly/likeable! In general it seems like a very harmonious working atmosphere. We really felt very comfortable and will definitely come back! 😀 Best regards from Dresden and keep it up!

I had dinner at L'Osteria today and I have to say it was heavenly. We didn't have to wait long, everything tasted fantastic and our waitress Charlie was super accommodating. I'll be back!

Deliciously delicious. Price appropriate for the location 😜 unfortunately the ambience is diminished by the perceived "train station noise". But the friendliness and quality of the food is really good.

We were super satisfied! The food was really delicious and fresh. Our waiter was extremely friendly and attentive - you immediately felt at home. The central location is ideal and with the nice weather we were able to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere. Price-performance ratio is absolutely right here. Happy to come back!

Pizzas are large and delicious, as you would expect from this pizza chain. Staff was friendly and the pizzas came quickly.

Since we were already familiar with the chain, we decided to visit the restaurant. I really can't write anything bad about the ambience, nor about the service from the people. You only had to take a quick look at our waitress and she was there straight away and fulfilled all your wishes. Simply TOP. But the food was subpar. I had a Hawaiian pizza and my wife had a lasagne. My Hawaii had maybe 5 pieces of pineapple and 4-5 ham. My wife said the lasagna gave the impression of frozen food. That was very disappointing. It may be that we had a bad day (it was really busy), but you are used to better things from the chain. Too bad.

Pizza always good as always, made with excellent Italian products; large and thin. It's a shame that the service is a bit slow... the Germans are not well organised

19 April 2025, restaurant not recommended for Italians, a margherita pizza for €11.50 and which tastes like supermarket pizza is not good and the size in this case does not matter. Extremely small table, as you can see from the photo, there was no room for the pizzas when there were various free tables upstairs, unfortunately we noticed this once lunch was finished.

After my semi-good experiences last year at L'Osteria Prager Straße, now attempt number 2. Because everyone gets a second chance from me. The fact that it wasn't Prager Str. was due to the diva-like hunger of the sons🤣. Pizza and pasta each and everyone was happy. Personally, the pizza was the basis for giving my rating here. The service was also there this time, be it as an introduction to the table or handing out drinks and food. Ergo, everything is great all around.

We hadn't even ordered the starter yet when we were told there were only 90 minutes available🤦🏻...So first the starter and then the main course goes garni when everything comes at once, that's really intense🤨🤨🤨Then first came the main course and then the starter and everything was lukewarm... I won't eat there anymore...service staff tried very hard👍 but was always shouted at by the “bouncer”…. I've never experienced anything like this before. Crazy 🤦🏻🤦🏻

When we are in Dresden, we usually eat here. We like the atmosphere, the waiters are friendly. The pizza tastes good, as does the pasta, but it is already very al dente, in my opinion it should take 2 minutes more cooking time. All in all a pleasant place and we will be back next year.

The pasta was delicious. I was able to switch from spaghetti to orechiette without any problems and the espresso only costs €1.95! Pizza is always recommended here.

Pizza for €18.90, you would expect more than a piece of pizza dough with a tomato cut into slices and a small pile of arugula in the middle. Above all, you expect an extra spicy pizza to be spicy. There was obviously a lot of savings on the spicy spreadable salami. It's just strange that I ate the same pizza at LOsteria a few weeks before in another city. I'm attaching a picture of what it should look like. She definitely didn't look like that when I visited. Instead there was a lot of discussion.

L’Osteria scores with delicious food, generous portions and a relaxed atmosphere that invites you to linger. Particularly noteworthy is the great service - attentive, warm and always in a good mood. You feel completely at home here!

Friendly staff, delicious food and enough space so we didn't have to wait. The only point: my knife was so blunt that it was torture to cut my pizza with it. When I asked for another knife, the new one was also blunt (better, but still not remotely sharp). So eating pizza ultimately became an effort. Everything else is great

The pizza is very good and can be pizza if desired. Unfortunately there is still no Pizza Puttanesca on the menu, so you have to tinker. This also works to a certain extent.

We went here for a drink in the evening. Ambience very pleasant and nice. The location is ideal, especially if you've been to the Kulturpalast and want to have a drink afterwards. I can't rate the food because we only had something to drink, the staff was friendly and the order came quickly. Well attended in the evening but managed to get a seat spontaneously.

The online reservation was problem-free. After being assigned a seat, it took 20 minutes to order. The drinks were needed 20 minutes after ordering. The food was served 40 minutes after ordering. The very friendly service staff was overwhelmed due to the large number of guests to be served.

L’Osteria is the perfect place to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine in a cozy atmosphere. The pasta and pizza are delicious, with fresh ingredients and intense flavors. The service is attentive and quick. A place to which you always like to return.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed during our visit today. Everything started well. We were placed a little apart on the first floor with our 3 small children, which my wife and I always find to be a good thing in case the kids do make a little noise and this way we don't attract unpleasant attention from other guests. Unfortunately, not much went right after that. It got busier and busier and the wait staff was very busy trying to serve all the tables up there. So no blame for them, more for the organization. It took a really long time before we could place our drinks and food orders. Not a big deal per se, but the little ones were really hungry. Once that worked, it took about three quarters of an hour for our food to arrive: 3 pastas, which the children liked, and a pizza that, without exaggerating, was cold. Of course we didn't let them go back because we were hungry and didn't want to wait that long again. None of that would be a big deal, but when you see people three tables away being seated 20 minutes after us and finishing the starter and main course before our food arrives, that's a real glitch. I'm sorry, but we won't be back any time soon. At least not with children.

Good dining experience, very unique interior, food was very fast. You need to have a reservation, getting a seat is a lottery ticket. If the restaurant is full, it is a little bit loud.

We tried to make a reservation online on Saturday evening, but unfortunately it didn't work. But we went there anyway and got a place for two. The pizza was very tasty because you could also choose individual toppings. Despite the large number of customers, the service ran smoothly, very friendly and fast. Gladly again :)

Zucchini noodles are disgusting. As you can see in the photo, a clumped, soft portion for just €15 The only “expensive” thing on the plate are the 6 shrimps. Disappointing. Lasagna is an extremely small portion size. Only the pizzas are good here. Too bad

The portion sizes are huge, and the pizzas are delicious and crispy. The half-and-half option is perfect for those who have trouble choosing between two pizzas :) The knives are sharp enough to easily cut through the crust. All in all, a very nice shop with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff.
