Between 2010 and 2014 I lived as a neighbor of this restaurant in Dresden and was here every two weeks, always happy with what was on offer. After returning ten years later, I was recently quite disappointed with what had become of "La Osteria". Sure, the food is still...solid, if somehow barely salted. You can also be forgiven for replacing the beautiful bound restaurant cards with cheap, glued folding cards. But I'm really shocked by the service. A macho-looking waiter shouting loudly through the restaurant with his colleague greets us with "What's wrong with you?" and otherwise only impresses with monosyllables, stubborn answers and annoyed facial expressions. The waitress who replaces him a little later at least tries to smile, but there's another way to be professional ("kudos, boys" to two guests over 30, I don't know). It's particularly annoying when you spend half the meal with empty glasses because no one ever stops by again, despite the many empty tables around. A look at other reviews reveals a similar pattern. There is an urgent need for further training here.

The service at La Osteria was definitely a bright spot – quick, attentive and very friendly. The food also came to the table quickly, which is a positive thing. Unfortunately, the food itself wasn't convincing at all. The pizza didn't meet the expectations you would expect from an Italian restaurant. The dough was tough and rubbery while the products seemed inferior. The bruschetta was also disappointing - the tomatoes tasted bland and had hardly any flavor. It seems like they skimp on the quality of the ingredients here. Conclusion: Unfortunately, La Osteria does not convey the feeling of a real Italian. The authentic taste falls by the wayside here.

The positive first. The pizza was large and tasted very good too. The price for it was also justified. Unfortunately the drinks didn't taste good and contained hardly any carbon dioxide. The staff should urgently work on friendliness. The man who served us probably didn't tip enough and answered us ironically. We then preferred to withdraw the entire tip. Unfortunately there are only a few parking spaces and you have to pay for them. Since there are enough other good pizzerias in Dresden, we won't see this one again.

Not good service, bottle of water is just slammed on the table, glass is dirty. No serving, no salt & pepper, you have to ask for everything separately. It was then brought pretty much in tatters. The food was completely unseasoned and didn't really excite me. Price performance doesn't match.

Unfortunately, the pizza was very dry and the seafood tasted like it was made of glass, which means it wasn't tasty. The spaghetti was careless on the plate, you had to look for cherry tomatoes and more would have been possible in terms of taste. Service was very quick, food and drinks were served within a short time.

Food unseasoned and not worth the money. Service unprofessional. No napkins, dirty glass. Glasses and water bottles were carelessly slammed onto the table. Salt and pepper shakers only came when requested. The spreaders were also totally dingy and completely worn out.

Huge pizza is hard to make but delicious

La Osteria impresses with its menu of classic Italian dishes. No matter whether pizza, pasta or meat - every lover will get their money's worth here. We had two pasta dishes, tortellini and gnocchi, which were really delicious. The high-quality Primitivo is also recommended. For guests who want to stay alcohol-free, we recommend the homemade lemonade. The service was quick and friendly. During the main course we were asked about our satisfaction. The atmosphere is cozy and invites you to spend sociable evenings. La Osteria gets a clear recommendation 👍

We went to the restaurant because we were very satisfied for the first time. The pizzas are very tasty for our taste. Unfortunately the service is not what you would expect. Skilled labor shortage? You can't hear it anymore, especially since you're in the middle of your working life. Unfortunately, our waiter wasn't really friendly and was very rude when taking the cash. Unbearable. Apparently he expected more for being at the table twice. So the visit will not be remembered fondly.

My second visit to this city and it's a permanent place for me when it comes to pizza. A large selection of types of pizza, good quality products and good service make you want to come back there.

I can't really understand the good reviews here. We had dinner here, a pizza and once gratinated cannelloni. The pizza was dry and tasteless, but at least edible. The cannelloni, on the other hand, were drowned in a lumpy, gray sauce, the cheese in the filling had coagulated and the porcini mushrooms tasted like tough, limp shoe soles. If the pasta is supposed to be “a la Mama,” it probably has to come from the evil stepmother. Absolute warning about this dish (68 I think). The service forgot about us several times even though it wasn't busy. The only good thing is the central and quiet location, although there are other, nicer restaurants. It's better to take the time and money and look for a decent restaurant!

Good, solid Italian with something for everyone. The pizza is highly recommended. The staff is friendly to a certain extent, but there is room for improvement.

The service was not aware of you within 30 minutes. Mama Mia is also not recommended because you have to wait at least 30 minutes before you can order!

The food comes quickly and is very tasty. The service should learn to be more careful when glasses are empty and ask if there is still something to drink. This shouldn't be difficult, unless you want to reduce your tip and not get a positive rating or recommendation.

You have to bring a lot of time here!! Service is a total disaster. We have already experienced several times that groups left after 15-20 minutes with no chance of placing an order. It takes on average 30 minutes for the invoice to arrive and requires 3-4 inquiries...

The pasta is very good. All the waiters and waitresses are very friendly, which is rare to find in Germany. Standard prices.

Since I am a caterer myself and love eating out, service is particularly important to me. Unfortunately it was a disaster, we were there quite late, but with a group of 20 people you don't just leave €10 there. The staff gave the impression of being incredibly annoyed and listless. The waitress rolled her eyes because we didn't get the orders of the others at the table. I was really incredibly disappointed. The carpaccio was very tasty, although the plate was hot on the outside and ice cold in the middle. The main course of pasta with salmon and cream sauce was delicious. At the end there was a “lukewarm” chocolate cake that was ice cold and the vanilla ice cream unfortunately tasted absolutely chemical. Visually it's a nice restaurant and in a great location, but we were unlucky with the rest of it that day.

Zero customer service. Went away before making oder. All waiters were ignoring us and told that the girl will come in 5 min, but she was continuing chatting and exchanging Instagram pages with other guests. Other waiters were just walking back and force, drinking, doing dmth in their phones.

The last time we were in this restaurant was 8 or 9 years ago and it was perfect back then. Now there was a birthday party coming up and since we now find "L'Osteria" to be a mass affair, we wanted to go back to "La Osteria" just around the corner. Reservations worked without any problems, even with subsequent changes, the outside area was relatively full, inside it was rather empty, but since the women preferred to go in, we sat down inside. Pizza bread, caprese salad (tomato mozzarella) and bruschetta were ordered as starters. As main courses 2 pasta dishes and 2 pizzas. The pizza bread and the drinks came super quickly but then something was wrong with the IT or the service processes. 5 minutes after the pizza bread came the 2 pasta dishes and because they didn't want to open a barrel, our women started eating. Another 5 minutes later the bruschetta and carpacchio arrived, which we hadn't ordered. We should eat it without calculation. We thought, come on, there are worse things. Again after 5 minutes the two large pizzas arrived and actually had no place on the table, so the half-eaten starters had to go again and were taken away. In addition, the mushrooms in the calzone as well as on the other "normal" pizza somehow still seemed raw. My wife's pasta was great, my mother's with salmon was overall too mushy, as if everything was a "mush". All in all it was just a rush and not a cozy get-together as planned. Since all 4 of us were somehow served, we asked for the bill and were out of the restaurant again after 45 minutes. I come from the catering industry myself and can only recommend examining and checking the processes, because that won't work with regular customers in what is now a highly competitive area in Dresden. However, the staff were consistently friendly and positive and did not agree with the many errors in the process. I therefore wish you all the best in increasing customer service!

We visited the restaurant in the evening. The restaurant has 2 floors. The food is good but the staff was probably very busy and forgot we were there.

Food was delicious, praise to the chef The service staff really weren't that great, we had to wait forever for our drinks/food, and once we finished eating, the food from the last one came too 😂👍... sometimes the table was full of glasses because they brought new drinks but didn't put the old glasses away have... only when you point it out. The order had to be repeated several times because...?no idea🤷🏻‍♂️ if you can't remember it, just write it down or 😅!? When it came to dessert, we gave up and forwent the actual thing we ordered😅. Very small and narrow.

Our first visit to this restaurant was a pleasant surprise. We became aware of this through our "Dresden for Friends" menu, as there was a "2 main courses for the price of 1" offer. The ambience both inside and outside was beautiful. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed spaghetti carbonara with extra cheese to spoon yourself, while my partner opted for lasagne. As a drink I chose a delicious homemade lemonade. We will definitely come back.

Super English-speaking staff, English menu, so you don't have to speak German, excellent desserts, and good prices for the center of a big city as a bonus... I was probably a bit confused that evening - I walked straight past the staff into the restaurant and sat down at a free table. Thankfully, this inappropriate action on the part of the staff was not held against me. Now about the pizza: it was big and very tasty. The floor was a bit thin, but as we all know, that's a matter of taste. If I go to Dresden again, I will pay La Osteria another visit!

We spontaneously got a table even though it was very busy. That was good. I said right at the beginning that I had a Dresden for Friends card (DDFF), the waiter took my details into his iPad and we ordered Food came after 30 minutes, was tasty and sufficient. We asked for parmesan several times (from different employees) but this was ignored and we didn't get any. When the bill came and I wanted to pay my share after my girlfriend, I asked whether the contribution had already been deducted by the DDFF, the waiter replied snippy "no, why not?" he didn't point out to me beforehand that the card had ultimately not been used and me and my girlfriend had to pay the full price instead of two for one (which the DDFF card includes)

Every anniversary here with my wife. Portions are perfect, not too much not too little. Tastes really tasty and fresh. Nice relaxed setting and never crowded at lunchtime.

I haven't been here for a long time and have decided not to come here again. I had a hot chocolate where the cream was sour. When I pointed it out in a friendly manner, the waiter started to discuss with me that the cream had just been made fresh because it was bad. After being served a little, they took it away and brought me a new one (anything but hot and the cream was more liquid than solid). So far so good. The food came. A Pizza Fruti Demare was more of a mussel pizza than a seafood pizza and my galzone was lukewarm, dough undercooked and mushrooms raw. The waiter didn't show up anymore except to collect money. I am very disappointed and will not recommend it.

Wir wollten vor dem Kinobesuch noch eine leckere Pizza essen, aber leider war der Besuch dieser Pizzeria eine Enttäuschung. Die Pizza war zwar sehr groß, aber ringsum war ein ca. 6cm breiter unbelegter trockener Rand! Auch der Rest der Pizza war nicht besonders lecker. Wir essen gern mal eine Pizza und sind sicher nicht sonderlich anspruchsvoll, aber hier waren wir doch sehr enttäuscht. Sicher ist unser Eindruck eine Geschmackssache, anderen Gäste sind mit dem hier servierten Essen sicher zufrieden, für uns war es nichts.

Das Essen war sehr gut. Da ich Zöliakie habe war ich sehr erleichtert. Die Nudeln waren sehr gut verträglich und das Ambiente angenehm. Werde ich mir merken.

Wir waren donnerstags Abend hier. Uns war klar dass viel los war, hier haben wir dann einen Tisch für 5 Personen bekommen. Ohne Reservierung. Leider war es dann doch recht voll, die Plätze oben sind recht eng (also sowohl von der Seite als auch von oben) , sodass das Ambiente nicht ganz so gemütlich war. Die Pizza war sehr lecker und es ging auch super schnell. Allerdings wirkte das Personal gestresst, leider. Die Einrichtung ist sauber und ordentlich, für Besuch mit kleinen Kindern vielleicht zu Hochbetrieb nicht zu empfehlen. Wir hatten trotzdem eine gute Zeit dort.

Bestellt über Lieferando , essen war in kürzester Zeit da schmeckt aber auch danach , einfach Katastrophe 40€ für 2 Pizzen und dann qualitativ eine 2/10 . Boden schwarz, Teig roh ,Belag roh . Fazit: Preis nicht gerechtfertigt, Qualität schlecht

Essen war sehr lecker, wir hatten Nudelgerichte. Die Getränkeflasche sah von außen gar nicht Appetitlich aus. Auf dem Tresen stapelten sich die schmutzigen Gläser, das war kein schönes Bild.

Trotz ohne Vorbestellung hat man uns einen Tisch für eine Std zur Verfügung gestellt. Es war rappel voll. Bedienung war genervt aber immer noch sehr freundlich. Hut ab. Immerhin ist der Stritzelmarkt um die Ecke. Essen (Spaghetti Frutti de Mare) war geschmacklich sehr gut, aber die Nudeln haben das heiße Wasser nur von von wotwm gesehen. Also sehr sehr sehr al dente. 😉 Aber wie gesagt: Geschmacklich war es sehr gut.

Netter Kellner, Essen hat mich nicht umgehauen. Ist verbesserungswürdig. Pizza ist riesig mit wenig Belag. Ist nicht mein Favorit in Sachen italienische Küche.

Ein sehr schönes Lokal. Super freundliches Personal und das Essen war wirklich lecker. Musik war für meinen Geschmack etwas laut durch die Hintergrundgeräusche. Aber das ist Ansichtssache. Auf jedenfall empfehlenswert :)

Hier gibt es die leckerste Pizza von Dresden. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne hier her. Bitte weiter so. Leider ist das Personal ein wenig überfordert. The place has a really nice atmosphere to go with your friends on a fun night. The spritz is not bad at all and they have many vegetarian/vegan options. As an italian though, I have to say that the pizza is not that good, the base has something off and it's dry. I would not eat it in Italy. Since the branding is all about Italy and traditional cuisine, I think serving a good pizza would be really important.

Leckerer Italiener mit modernem Flair. Preis / Leistung ist voll in Ordnung. Die Pizza hat einen dünnen, leckeren Boden. Ebenfalls sind die Spaghetti Carbonara auch sehr lecker.

Der Ort ist warm und einladend! Dem Essen in meinem Salat fehlte etwas mehr Textur, ein paar Nüsse und etwas Säure mit einem Käse vielleicht. Ansonsten ist alles sehr lecker. Vielleicht wäre ein bisschen mehr italienische Musik besser! Aber ich empfehle es!

Ob im Restaurant vor Ort oder bei Abholung sticht besonders der Service heraus. Welcher auch bei vollem Laden immer um das Wohl und die Zufriedenheit der Kundschaft bedacht ist. Von der Qualität der Pizzen ganz zu schweigen. Absolutes Südtirol/Italien-Level. Ich würde nirgends anders Pizza essen.
