Lo Studente in München

Ich habe heute eine Pizza Diabolo „to go“ bestellt- zum ersten mal wieder nach längerer Zeit. Es war die mit Abstand schlechteste Pizza seit langem. Sie sah optisch erbarmungswürdig aus und genauso hat sie auch geschmeckt. schlechter Käse, total fettig, die scharfe Salami auf wenige Teile der Pizza gestapelt draufgeknallt. Nie mehr!

Unsere Pizzen, die Nachspeise Tiramisu und auch die gewählten Weine waren sehr. Der Service war freundlich und zuvorkommend.

How can the crust of the pizza taste so good?

So, the food was super tasty BUT the female service was there for the 60 minutes we were there. 50 minutes just on the cell phone. Guests are ignored and she prefers to go smoke! Unbelievable. I come from the catering industry myself and honestly, this lady wouldn't wait a day!

The pizza was delicious.the atmosphere was amazing the stuff make the pizza to half and put each in one plate for us and it was perfect because we want to share the pizza.i recommend it.

It was very easy to get a place for lunch on a Saturday. The food came fairly quick, the taste is good, and the prices are affordable for Munich.

A small but very good Italian restaurant in the Max-Vorstadt. Seating, among other things, crowded on the street. Very good pizzas. Price/performance ratio is good. Very friendly staff.

Terrible service. Guys close 30 min before the official time and have terrible attitude towards guests that translates in only “get out”.

The staff is incredibly rude and the service is bad! We recently visited this restaurant and was extremely disappointed with the service. The place was very crowded in the evening, and the tables are too small. We asked to move to another table because the people next to us were loud, and we had no space, but the waitress refused. Later on, when we moved slightly to the side of the same table after another group left, the waitress shouted at us and made us move back to our old spot. It was frustrating to sit in such a tight space, listening to the loud conversations of people next to us, especially when there was an empty space right next to us.(in the same table). The pizzas were not bad, but the poor service and rude staff completely ruined the experience. I won't be coming back and wouldn't recommend it to others.

We were looking forward to a relaxing evening in the pizzeria, but unfortunately our visit was disrupted by several unpleasant incidents. First we discovered a hair on our pizza, which is of course absolutely unacceptable. In addition, we were almost annoyingly asked several times whether we would like to order, barely after we received the menu. This put us under unnecessary pressure and clouded the atmosphere. Another problem was the numerous flies buzzing around everywhere. Passing around an open carafe of chili oil was also highly unhygienic. After we decided not to tip because of these incidents (which we usually do), the waitress took some of the change on her own initiative. This was the highlight of an already unfriendly and annoyed service. The incident with the receipt, which the waitress dropped and then refused to pick up, simply staring into space while a lady from the next table helped, highlighted the overall poor service. Unfortunately we cannot recommend this pizzeria based on this experience, but the food tasted good.

Totally delicious pizzas and drinks. Service unfortunately totally arrogant and disinterested. It's a shame, because it would be a great restaurant in itself, especially the seating is very nice :)

Unfriendly and pushy staff who tip themselves.

Everything was good, except the taste was slightly off. Just kidding, everything was bad. Was here 3 times, TWICE got a crazy painful stomachache. That’s a 66% success rate of you needing to suffer at a toilet. In perspective Ronaldo’s international goal ratio is 62%. Kid you not, war (i’m from Ukraine) was easier to bear than this pizza. If this pizza was served at The Last Supper, Jesus would have died for the second time. You could fight off covid-19 with this pizza, cuz it would kill people faster than the disease. Only God knows what would happen if Eva ate this pizza instead of an apple. Would only recommend this pizza to Putin. If you love God, believe in peace, human rights, dignity and humanity, avoid this pizza at all costs.

Food was delicious, but everything around it cannot be associated with the phrase “customer is king”. There was no proper greeting or farewell, etc. I have rarely had such an experience, so I couldn't really enjoy the food. A pity!

Robotic cuisine, without quality and little quantity, they just want you to eat and leave, as soon as possible.

The food was really delicious. However, I have never received such unfriendly service. We were asked three times what we would like to eat in the first two minutes. I was still chewing myself and my girlfriend wasn't nearly finished eating when my plate was already cleared away. Despite the delicious food, I unfortunately wouldn't recommend it. What a shame!

The food was delicious. Portion OK. However, the service is really disappointing. I have never been served by such unfriendly and poor service as in this restaurant. Once we sat down and had the menu, we became so stressed about choosing the food and drinks. We were asked four times within three minutes whether we knew what we wanted and when we said we needed a little more time, we were given unfriendly looks. The waitress didn't pay attention to us at all and processed us really quickly. If one person was already finished, the plate was taken away immediately even though the other person was still eating.

The worst service ever ! There is no politeness in the staff . It was crowded in evening and we settled for 1 table just to get a drink first and thought could move to bigger table once it gets free . The waiter was rude and did not even felt like he hates working there and taking his frustrations out on customers. Next comes the pizza which was La Norma , I have had this pizza not he same restaurant a few times but I think In the last 6 months , the quality as well as the service has degraded rapidly . High time

Expect a beautiful ambience as it is in a prime location for good prices but very average pasta.

Food comes quickly, very quickly, so the pizza was put in front of us even though we hadn't finished the starter yet. Pizzas were delicious and the tuna salad was very good. But you can save yourself the bruschetta. Service was not very friendly. Eating on the terrace is stressful, as soon as you take the last bite from the plate the plate is gone. Unfortunately, space is very tight and therefore very loud.

Food is good, service staff terrible Sat down for pizza and pasta. Asked the dismissive waiter if could change a carbonara to vegetarian mushroom instead, if not then that is fine. He said no, and we order a different item. Perfectly okay. Brought the carbonara anyway. Said that was not what we ordered so he took it away. Finished our meal, asked another waiter to pay. He quite rudely stuck the card machine at us, barely a thank you. We left only to realise they overcharged us. We walked back to sort it out. Trying to get them to fix the problem, we got the rudest most dismissive attitude. I explained the issue multiple times, the man treated us like secondary issue as we stood in the busy restaurant taking up space. He showed us a completely wrong order, then finally found it after another staff member told him how to find it (I already told him how to find it but he got nasty with me). He gave us the refund after a very tense and frustrating experience, he gave no apology for the mixup, even dropped some coins on the floor and that was the end of that. It’s sad, this is my second time here and it’s beautiful food, not sure what was going on but the rudeness of the staff tonight was possibly the worst I’ve had in a restaurant, and I rarely write reviews unless something was particularly bad worth me taking the time.

The place is dark, very busy and noisy. On the other hand, the price is fair and the pasta I ordered was very tasty. They served a sauce and parmesan cheese to all the customers around me, but they didn't serve it to me. I didn't understand the reason for this distinction.

Food: Pizza for 12 EUR in Munich, great P/L and also delicious Service: bad. Rather unfriendly, no attempt to ask when the drinks were empty, ignored several times, no “thank you”, “hello”, “bye”. Delicious food and fair prices. Kitchen is quick and good. It's really busy in the evenings and the service is quite demanding, but delivery to the table is always quick. The selection of dishes is sufficient and the desserts are also great. ;-)

Very good pizza (thin and crispy, great dough) that is baked very quickly in the wood-fired oven. Fast and attentive service. Also recommended late in the evening. Also a decent price-performance ratio. Clear recommendation! Had the Pizza Chimica with Gorgonzola and South Tyrolean bacon.

From this restaurant, a waitress shouted anti-Semitic slogans at the participants in the “Run for their lives”. And this in a race that is committed to the lives and survival of captured hostages (= people). I recommend not entering this place.

The pizzas there are really tasty and also well topped! The drinks are good too. But I think that some of the waitresses could work a little on their friendliness. We smiled, always thanked us for everything and were treated by a lady as if we were unwanted. It's definitely not all like that, but a few 😅

Cheap pizza makes it a favourite student haunt. The pizza base was good but not much topping.

I was there probably 30 times and also to deliver. I mostly had pizza and/or pasta. I often even had 2 dishes. One time my pasta was really hard and still raw and not al dente. The waitress called the boss, who immediately insulted you instead of trying. I have never had such bad service in my life. Unfortunately, there is zero privacy in the local area. The food was mostly good. Unfortunately, local is not at all customer-oriented. I've never complained about the food anywhere, even though I eat out at least once a week. Unfortunately, noodles were inedible!

We came here for dinner and had a reservation (definitely recommend as the area tends to be very crowded) It is nice to sit at the „open window“ inside which makes you feel like you sit outside. The Pizzas we ordered came after a few minutes and they tasted fine. The vegan pizza was meant to have vegan nduja but I honestly didn’t taste that. The cheese was nice because it didn’t have that odd taste vegan cheese tends to have. But it didn’t have anything special to it and the others also lacked some flavor to make it a better pizza. They were still good and if you’re looking for a solid pizza at a place where you’re surrounded by young and (mostly) nice people lo Studente is a place you could go to. It just doesn’t stand out compared to other pizza places in the city. Still, thank you for having us, we enjoyed the evening.

Good Italian food, University atmosphere

I ordered a takeaway pizza over the phone. It cost €11.90 with mozzarella, champions and ham. Unfortunately I expected a little more for the price. What I got was a very thin pizza with some champions on it and ham and mozzarella. I think for the price of almost €12, that was definitely not enough dough (base).

Nice trattoria with really good pizza 🍕 at a good price. Tables on the street are reminiscent of Italy.

Rating this place depends on what you expect from a restaurant! We expected sitting somewhere chill and having Italian food. What we received was not only much below the expectation but it was so disappointing. Being crowded in lunch is understandable, however what made us really upset was the behaviour of staff! The lady approached us immediately when we took sit and when we asked for 5 mins she looked so annoyed! The waiters was constantly walking between tables and watching weirdly on tables!!! We felt so uncomfortable. Also while collecting the dishes they accidentally hit us, twice! We had Lasagna and Diavoli. Lasagna had ZERO seasoning, absolutely zero! The table was so small for dishes and when I asked to take the chilli sauce again I received a weird look! Very disappointing experience, for daily and business food is cheap really but it doesn’t mean the staff should make customers uncomfortable!!!!

Food is okay for the money. You eat quickly and move on. Not a restaurant where you stay for a long time. I can highly recommend the salad with tuna. Service is quick and attentive.

Nice place, food is not bad relative to the price. The shrimp pasta was not impressive, but the pizza and lasagne were good. It gets very crowded in the evenings and the terrace is quite cramped.

A great pizza, very tasty. The service was nice and quick. Only the places on the street - on the one hand it's ok because it would be too hot inside, but the cars driving past are a little annoying. The dessert, tiramisu, wasn't quite as good. We would like to come again

My niece and I went to lo Studente for pizza yesterday. I can't understand the negative reviews! The service was great! Very nice service. The pizza was super tasty! The food was at the table really quickly. The restaurant is cozy and very clean. 5 stars for everything. When we're back in Munich we'll be happy to come back :) thank you!

I will not recommend it, The food was less than average, service: we were waiting 15 min for a receipt. At least they brought food pretty fast and the portions were even too big for me. But there are places with better and cheaper food.

Delicious pizza from a stone oven with a thin base. The only thing that was a shame is that the salami on my Diavola was a little burnt. Nevertheless, this is no reason not to stop by here again when you are in Munich again.

Staff recommended the "Lo Studenten Pizza," but it turned out to be dreadful—perhaps the worst I've ever tasted.

The calzone was empty, it had very little ricotta and very little ham, that was the only thing the calzone had, the ravioli were not seasoned, and they had a broth instead of a sauce, it seemed more like a soup than a pasta, the tiramisu A great insult, it looked like a flan, it had no mascarpone, no coffee, and a lot of cocoa on top

Food: a good menu of pizzas, pastas and other popular Italian preparations. Service: very nice, very good. Good advice to choose. Atmosphere: Pleasant both inside and outside. Many students go but also older people.

Location: it is in University area, walk distance from U-Bahn, usually not easy to find parking spots on the street. (4) Environment: they have huge area outside, I think it would be wonderful in summer. Inside area have lots of photos on the wall, and lots of space nearby the window. (4.5) Food: I have nothing to complain. Wouldn’t say it’s excellent food, but it is okay Italy food. (4.5) Service: the stuffs are nice, kind, friendly. (4.5) Price: nothing special. Average price for Munich, not expensive. (4.5) Overall: 4.4 I can imagine to go back sometime.

“A beef carpaccio with a stomach ache please!” Unfortunately the food was extremely bad. The carpaccio was definitely not fresh. Unfortunately, a few hours after eating it I had severe stomach cramps. The bread as a side dish was totally dry and tasteless. Truly one of the worst dining experiences in Munich...It's a shame, the food here didn't used to be that bad.

Service and ambience are great. Unfortunately, the vegan pizza is just ready-made mozzarella and charging 14.50 for that is a bit cheeky. Nobody really needs to come to me with inflation. There are pizzerias like Dr. Drooly or Napoli Rush who have homemade vegan mozzarella for less money.

Wanted to reserve a table for Friday evening on February 29, 2024 around 11:30. I received a phone call. from a Mr. said that this wasn't necessary, we would always get a place. On Friday I was asked for a reservation, which of course I didn't have. We were able to beg for a table for 1 hour because everything was reserved. Service = 0, food ok, won't come back...

When I visited Lo Studente in Munich, I found a solid Italian restaurant that impresses with friendly service and good pizzas. The prices are completely reasonable and reflect the good value for money you would expect from a restaurant of this type. For starters we chose Vitello Tonnato and Tomato Mozzarella, both of which were okay. They met our expectations of classic Italian appetizers without being exceptional. Unfortunately the evening wasn't as great as expected. The pizzas are very good, you can't say anything about that. But the service wasn't exactly special. Everyone is nice, but you get dealt with quickly. There were a lot of fruit flies, which didn't make eating pleasant.

The pizza wasn't outstanding at all, just ok. They use cream for carbonara, which is illegal. The place has a youthful atmosphere and plays Italian music.

I went there with my girlfriend because the recommendations looked good. But the service was so rude, unwilling to communicate, and without any attempt to receive us that we just stood up and left. I have tried the pizza before and it was decent though.

Filthy pizzas. The cheese could serve as cement between bricks, overcooked and almost non-existent fillings. In terms of German gastronomy.
