Little Wolf in München

A successful American dinner style. And the grilled food is top-notch.

Coming from Kansas City, I was skeptical of how good barbecue could be in Germany. This far exceeded my expectations. We had the pork belly burnt ends and the rib combo. Both were fall off the bone delicious and the smoked flavor was so good that bbq sauce wasn't really needed. Service was friendly and good. The atmosphere felt like an American BBQ place. It was quite expensive (€24-28 a plate) but worth it for a treat. Cocktails were also expensive and mine was pretty small for €13 but it was delicious. Mac & cheese was tasty but don't bother with the corn bread.

We had reserved a long time in advance and received a reservation confirmation by email. When we arrived the restaurant was closed for "Summer Break"! What a shame not to at least cancel!

Little Wolf describes itself as a Smokehouse & Diner and advertises “classic American BBQ and southern style soul food”. The restaurant is furnished accordingly, with the typical diner booths and matching decoration - cozy and indeed very American. Of course, I also had corresponding expectations of the food. We came as a couple and were typically hungry for dinner, so we opted for the "Meat Lover Combo", which promises a selection of the best grilled dishes in the house for two people and costs an impressive €52. However, there are no side dishes there yet, so you have to pay between €5 and €6.50 for them. The dishes on the platter were served briskly and were indeed very tasty - there are baby back ribs, short ribs, pork belly and smoked chicken with appropriate sauces. The portion size, however, is anything but American. I'm definitely not an advocate of super-sized portions, but what's on the table for two (!) people, as a slim 1.69m tall woman, I could have easily eaten it alone. And so after our plate and the two side dishes, which were also rather small, we weren't really full. This has never happened to us in a smokehouse in the USA. In this respect, as a visitor you should perhaps simply come here with a certain level of expectation management: diner feeling yes, diner portions no.

The food was very good. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio isn't right at all. €52 for a platter for two people, which wouldn't even be enough for one, is too much. Furthermore, if you want a side dish, you "have to" spend at least another €6. The beer selection is also a bit odd.

Top-notch. Definitely 5 stars. Tastes truly American from the smoker. Brisket, beef ribs, spare ribs, all finger-lickin' good. Very friendly and quaint service. The decor is truly US-style. Portions a bit small. I was so busy eating and enjoying myself that I forgot to photograph most of the dishes. The picture shows a brisket sandwich – a dream. By the way, brisket is only available on Wednesdays.

BBQ - Fans AUFGEPASST!!! Wirklich authentisches amerikanisches Dinner. Sehr gutes Essen, hervorragende Getränke und ein cooles Team. Ich kann nur jedem empfehlen es selbst auszuprobieren. See you soon Little Wolf

Quite decent american smoked barbecue in Munich! Had the beef ribs with mac and cheese, very tasty. Beef ribs were 8/10, nothing like we have in the US, but it really did the trick. Would definitely go back, even if the prices are a bit steep.

So ein kleiner, toller Laden - wärmstens zu empfehlen. Mega aufmerksamer und krass guter Service! 10 von 10! 🤌🏻 Tolle Atmosphäre und die Qualität von Essen und Getränken einfach ein Genuss durch und durch.

Essen sehr gut aber teuer wie Sau. Zu 5. Um satt zu werden pro Person 60€ da gelassen.

Vorab: ich würde 10 Sterne vergeben, wenn’s möglich wäre, oder 100! Einfach perfekt! Ich hab mich gefühlt, wie ein kleines Kind, dass einen Freizeitpark besucht hat, und alles fahren durfte, worauf es Lust hatte. Wir sind spontan zu zweit eingekehrt und hatten viel Hunger mitgebracht. Bestellt haben wir die Platte für 2 + Brisket und 3 verschiedene Sides. Es war schlicht perfekt! Butterzartes Fleisch, perfekte Beilagen, überragende Dips dazu! Die Menge an Essen ist mehr als ausreichend für 2 - im Gegenteil, wir mussten kämpfen und uns zum Aufhören zwingen, damit wir noch Platz für Dessert hatten. Zum Nachtisch gab es einen Scheiterhaufen und Erdbeerkuchen. Auch hier - überragend, perfekter Abschluss eines herausragenden Erlebnisses. Preislich natürlich etwas höher, was aufgrund der Qualität jedoch jeden Cent wert ist. Ebenso hervorzuheben sind die beiden jungen Herren, die uns bedient haben. So stelle ich mir Service vor! Höflich, zuvorkommend, auf alle Fragen ohne zu zögern geantwortet und erklärt, immer gut gelaunt und mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht unterwegs gewesen. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für diese Erfahrung! Das wird definitiv nicht der letzte Besuch im Little Wolf gewesen sein!

肉烤的不错，是美式烤法，蘸酱也很好吃。但是性价比太低了，双人份的肉也就够一个人吃的，饮料也没有传统美式餐厅的那种1L或者1.5L的…总之风味是美式的，但是没有传统美式的那种冲击力。

It was as advertised. Service super good and friendly. Food awesome and would come again. Pity that the guys can’t make brisket but only wednesdays.

Gutes Essen, aber Preis Leistung passt nicht. Wenn die Sides mit dabei wären, wäre es ok. 4 Eur für einen trockenes Maismuffin finde ich unverhältnismäßig.

Sehr gutes Ambiente mit American Diner Feeling mit besonders guten Rips. Die Beilagen sind nicht zu empfehlen, da Preis/Leistung nicht in Relation steht. Service is top.

Sympathische Crew, einladendes Ambiente (im Raum mit der Bar allerdings deutlich gemütlicher als im neu hinzugenommenen Erweiterungsraum), man darf mit Reservierung auch einen geselligen Abend verbringen, der nicht nach 1,5h mit einer in München vielerorts inzwischen üblichen Nachfolge-Reservierung jäh beendet wird. Die Gerichte sind allesamt gut bis echt stark, die Beilagen solide. Die verkosteten Drinks wussten zu gefallen, wobei man für einen ganzen Abend mit Whiskey und vielem mehr auch im zugehörigen Der Wolf gut aufgehoben ist. Tipp: Das Pastrami Sandwich ist ein Knaller. Aber auch die „richtigen“ Fleischgerichte sind von sehr guter Qualität.

This place is my absolute favourite place. The ribs are AMAZING and Corinna is such a nice person. Every time we are in Munich we go there.

Seit Monaten wollten wir diesen Laden schon besuchen, dementsprechend sind Wir mit sehr hohen Erwartungen in dieses Dinner gekommen. Würde es 10 Sterne geben, dann hätten die Jungs dort alle 10 verdient. Service ist 1A (Von Bar bis Kellner hin zum Chef vor Ort...die wissen was die machen und beraten dich ehrlich ) Stimmung ist 1A (mega sympathische Leute die den ein oder anderen lustig Spruch auf Lager haben) Ambiente 1A (so habe ich mir einen amerikanischen Dinner vorgestellt) Essen&Trinken 1A (Pastrami Sandwich war mehr als überragend. Aber im gesamten merkt man hier die wahnsinnig gute Qualität) Ich kann das Sandwich + Drink: Joshua nur empfehlen :D) Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Small atmospheric restaurant. Small menu and when it’s gone it’s gone! Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Sehr freundliches Personal und leckeres Essen. Da unsere Gruppe keinen Alkohol bestellt hatte, gab's als Absacker Eistee Sirup. Was ich ich sehr aufmerksam und überaus freundlich fand. Wir kommen wieder!

Insgesamt eine sehr positive Bewertung für das Restaurant Little Wolf. Das Essen ist sehr gut und besonders Fleischliebhaber werden hier glücklich. Den Service kann ich ebenfalls nur loben und das Ambiente bekommt eine 4/5. Es wird empfohlen, frühzeitig zu reservieren, da der Laden sehr beliebt ist. Ein Besuch des Restaurants wird auf jeden Fall empfohlen! Ich werde wieder kommen.

Love this place. Tiny and cozy, very cool old-diner-style interior and amazing food. Had the rib combo and honey glazed Brussel sprouts with bacon, the Keller beer alongside it. Relaxed and easy going staff. Definitely a must-try.

One of the most authentic locations! A wonderful spot to feel home and welcome. Awesome food! Best Pastrami Sandwich, Mac n Cheese and yummy cakes! Give it a try as hard as you can! Thank you!

Great southern US food and super fast service! The baby back ribs and the short ribs are superb! And there's lot of meat too!
