Delicious food with American options! Very friendly staff. Cool atmosphere.

The Hard Rock Cafe in Munich is located opposite the famous Hofbräuhaus. We were on vacation and wanted to have a drink with the family. The cafe is really quite large, with plenty of seating, and it looks very nice, with everything in dark wood. There's a bar in the center, and numerous staff members were busy serving the guests. Music was playing in the background, and a football match was being shown on a large screen. I opted for an Irish Coffee with Baileys. It was really delicious and well-mixed, not too strong. However, we had to get the staff's attention several times before we could order, even though some of the employees were just chatting at the bar. It took quite a while before we could place our order and receive our drinks. The restrooms were clean and tidy, just as they should be. All in all, our visit to the Hard Rock Cafe was very pleasant, and it's definitely worth stopping by for a drink.

We went on a Monday, restaurant empty and it took 1 hour for the waitress come to our table (we were waiving at them but they wouldn’t see us). Average food, us cuisine style. This I knew it before going, so I was already expecting to be low quality food. The lower review goes for the long waiting.

The Hard Rock in Munich is very similar to pretty much any other Hard Rock. So the food is good, the drinks are good. We had really good service from a Canadian transplant to Munich. He was friendly and spoke perfect English (and German). So if you are tired of the Schnitzel and the Brats, this is a decent alternative.

A nice Hard Rock Cafe with the typical, familiar atmosphere. Usually quite busy, which speaks well of the place, but sometimes makes spontaneous visits difficult. The price/performance ratio is okay: you're obviously paying a bit for the branding, but you get exactly what you expect – solid, but nothing extraordinary. The waiters and bartenders were very friendly and attentive. Overall, a good visit.

The food was excellent: fresh, flavorful, and true to Hard Rock’s signature style. Portions were generous, the burgers were perfectly cooked, and the cocktails were spot-on. It also has that unique mix of being fun, casual, and still feeling like a special stop during a trip to Munich. I really appreciated how organized everything was despite the crowd, and the overall ambience makes you want to stay longer than planned. Whether you’re here for a relaxed meal, great drinks, or just the classic Hard Rock vibe, this location delivers on all fronts. Totally deserves 5 stars—great energy, great food, great people. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Munich!

Bring back the Appetizer platter. The Menu has such limited variety now and the portion sizes are smaller than they used to be.

Group of three, simply ignored, by personnel, we went to another place nearby

The atmosphere was great, however…: The burgers were swimming in grease, the burger bun was soaked with it. We ordered two spare ribs; one portion was much larger, the other much smaller. Why was that when they both cost the same? We had a reservation for 7:00 PM, arrived on time, and weren't allowed to sit down until 7:30 PM. I certainly won't be eating at Hard Rock Munich again.

Visited on the weekend - lucky we had a reservation. Although the restaurant is huge there is a long line of people waiting at the entrance. Delicious wings, a little overcooked for my taste, nice small shrimp. Huge spareribs with fries and some coleslaw, and for dessert a delicious sour American apple pie

We love the Hard Rock Cafe! Our server was incredibly attentive, friendly, funny, and discreet. The advice on drinks and food was spot on. I especially remember our waiter's excellent communication skills; even when things got hectic, he didn't forget any special requests or orders. The selection is huge. The ambiance, with the musical instruments, albums, etc., is what makes the Hard Rock Cafe so special. We always feel very comfortable there and will be back soon!

We reserved a table and were shown to it. Afterward, we sat down and explained that we didn't want to eat as planned, so we ordered two cranberry juices and a portion of fries. When we ordered, the waitress gave us a very strange look, went over to her colleague, complained about us, and they both looked at us, talked, and finally both shook their heads. She brought us our drinks, was offended again, and left very quickly. In my opinion, this is disrespectful; you don't treat your customers like that. The juice tasted like water, and the fries were way too salty. Not recommended at all. We've been to many Hard Rock Cafes, including the one in Tenerife, and this is the most unfriendly service we've ever experienced.

Great place, with cool artwork like in any Hard Rock Cafe. We had burgers and a drink; we would have ordered more, but unfortunately, no server came. Otherwise, everyone was very friendly, and the menu featured typical burgers, fries, wings, etc. Definitely worth a visit for Hard Rock Cafe fans or collectors. Great background music.

The manager on Saturday night was completely unprofessional. We said we were only going to have dessert, and even though more than half the tables were empty, they made us eat it standing at the bar. Not recommended.

The music is absolutely awful. If I'm going to a Hard Rock Cafe, I expect to hear hard rock. In the 2.5 hours we were there, they played Judas Priest, Bon Jovi, and Faith No More once each; the rest was absolute rubbish. It has nothing to do with rock. Otherwise, the atmosphere is great, and the staff is very friendly.

We only had a few drinks at the bar. The music was good and moderately loud, so we could easily have a conversation. The atmosphere is really great and interesting, with artifacts from rock history displayed all over the walls.

We visited the Hard Rock Cafe last Saturday, November 8th, 2025, around noon. We received a very friendly welcome at the counter. We, a group of two (one of whom is in a wheelchair), were offered a suitable table for our meal. The waiter was very attentive, friendly, and courteous. The food was delicious and very enjoyable. We had a very pleasant lunch. When we left, the lady at the counter was again very attentive and helped us with the doors. If we are ever in Munich or nearby again, we will certainly stop here again. We spent a very pleasant afternoon there on November 9, 2025, enjoying excellent food. From our (admittedly subjective) perspective, we've never had a bad meal there. Very friendly service and much quieter than the Hofbräuhaus. 😬 The food arrived very quickly, despite it being busy. There's a great selection, including options for children. The food was also delicious. 😋 We'll definitely come back when we're in Munich again.

One of the best options in Munich for groups and families. We visited Hard Rock Cafe Munich with a group of 15, including kids, and had a great time. The food was tasty, the service was fast, and the atmosphere was lively. I’ve been to a few Hard Rock Cafes in the U.S., but this one felt much better overall; the staff were super friendly and made everyone feel welcome.

Since we've become fans of the Hard Rock Cafe, we naturally had to visit the Munich location. So we planned to go there for dinner. The ambiance is, as expected, really cozy and decorated with a lot of rock 'n' roll love, which immediately created a welcoming atmosphere. Ordering was quick, and the waiter who took our order was incredibly friendly, attentive to everything, and even asked about any allergies. Excellent! We'd never really been asked about that before. Unfortunately, things went downhill after that. The drinks arrived at the table at different times (beer first, and the Coke about five minutes later). While we didn't have to wait long for the burgers, the dip we ordered was forgotten. We mentioned this to our trusted waiter, and it was promptly brought out. Thanks again! The burgers were a bit small for over €20 each, and the meat was also rather dry. A little more sauce would have been nice to compensate. On the plus side, they were accommodating with special requests! So, the evening was okay, but not outstanding. With a few improvements, the evening would be worth 5 stars!

Never again – the service was an absolute disaster! 😡 We've been to the *Hard Rock Cafe Munich* several times and were usually satisfied – but what happened this time was simply embarrassing and unprofessional. The food was really delicious, no question – but the service was completely unmotivated, rarely came around, and we had to wait forever. We only found out *by chance* while paying that drinks would be refilled for free – of course, nobody had told us that beforehand. Thanks for that. Then came the absolute madness: We wanted to pay separately – two in cash, one by card – and then settle the rest together. The server was completely overwhelmed and in the end didn't even know what was still outstanding. I've never experienced such chaos in any restaurant in the countryside – and in a city like Munich? Simply embarrassing. The manager only spoke English. I can speak English, but honestly: In the capital of Bavaria, a guest who only speaks German shouldn't be left stranded. That's just disrespectful. The manager only spoke English. We even booked a birthday party – no attention, no little extra, nothing at all. Even though they knew perfectly well we were celebrating. In the end, there were outstanding bills, no one knew who had paid what, and we had to argue about it in the restaurant. We felt like complete idiots. Over €300 for such a performance? Never again. Zero stars would be appropriate here! Hard rock or not – anyone who treats guests like this doesn't deserve the name!

A great location where you can comfortably linger and enjoy a few drinks. The music isn't too loud, allowing for easy conversation. A wide selection of food completes the offering.

Great branch of the famous Hard Rock Café, nicely decorated for the Halloween’s festive season, great service, friendly staff, Messi burger is crispishly yummy and the New York strip steak is so succulently delicious. Highly recommended!

First time that I witnessed such a bad organized hard rock cafe. The location is good. But the coordination on the entrance even with reservation was a mess.

It's a very pleasant place, very centrally located, we got in without waiting in line, and there are very nice clothes and accessories in the clothing store.

Ambience...it's just Hard Rock Cafe, not my thing, but it was good. The service staff were quick and friendly, and everything went quickly. BUT the food was awful. There were four of us, one burger with cold, soggy fries, one dry and cold wings, one smoked platter, the meat was dry and cold, the smoker was on, and one Caesar salad with chicken. The chicken was bone dry and cold. The dressing was good, and you can't go wrong with the salad and parmesan chips. The bone dry meat could have been explained...but cold?! There were about 20 people in the restaurant, so no excuse for this meal! Why am I writing this here and not saying it right away...since my friend was paying and asked me to, I left it!

We ate there this evening. The atmosphere was really good, and the staff was very friendly. I personally didn't like the vegetarian burger patty, so I ordered fries instead and only had to pay for those. Thank you so much for this great service.

I bought a couple HR Munich t-shirts, and had a meal. Wish they'd have just a few more meals for vegetarians. Yet the place itself radiates with great hard rock music and it's fun to visit it

We ate here a few years ago. That's why we came back. Everything was great back then. Unfortunately, the value for money is no longer there. Everything is very expensive, and there's not much on the plate. That was different a few years ago. We won't be coming back.

Not a place to drink and chill, they might kick you out if you do not order enough for their taste. I’ve been to this place several times before and usually had a good experience, but my visit yesterday was disappointing. I had a 4:30 PM reservation for myself and four colleagues. We ordered nachos, wings, and beers, and everything was fine until around 7 PM, when staff asked us to leave because there were people waiting outside with reservations. I explained that we also had a reservation, there was no stated time limit, and we had just received a new round of beers. There were still empty tables available, but about 20 minutes later, they came back and asked us to leave again. We paid and left, feeling unwelcome. We weren’t being loud or disruptive — the place itself is quite noisy due to the music — so that clearly wasn’t the issue. Honestly, it felt like they wanted to free up the table for guests who might spend more. That’s never happened to me anywhere else, and it left a really negative impression. Unfortunately, I don’t plan on coming back Where are your table turn times stated? It would be a valuable information to share.

The regular items are available as usual, but the quality varies. Unfortunately, there are no changing rooms for trying on clothes. That's completely unacceptable. It's a shame. We didn't eat.

Not one of the best Hard Rocks I've been to. This is my personal opinion, based on an experience I had on a typical Friday night. Very chaotic, with a strong smell of food in the dining room (it all stuck to my clothes), and the Munich beer wasn't the best; I barely finished the first one (I usually drink two). We arrived early (we had hungry kids), so we waited. The rules were fine, but if you're talking about a 15-minute grace period for latecomers, it would be nice to have 15 minutes or more for hungry customers (who had reservations). Granted, that might not be a negative, but it hasn't happened to me at other Hard Rocks. Overall, the atmosphere was good, the music was top-notch, the food was always excellent, and the kids were treated like kings and queens. Overall, an average rating. There's room for improvement, and perhaps this happens when there's a large crowd. (E.g., Lisbon, April 2025, same crowd size, less disruption.) Finally, a very positive note, I repeat, is the service. In any case, Hard Rock does not disappoint as a choice.

Disgraceful behavior from the bartender! We sat in the café for a whole ten minutes just to order a coffee. When we gave him a perfectly normal signal to come over, he suddenly became angry and reacted with irony and an annoyed expression! Honestly, it's a disgrace! We didn't mind waiting at all, but the way he looked at us and his attitude were simply rude. Who does he think he is? The place was almost empty; he really didn't have much to do! If this counts as "customer service," then something is clearly wrong! Of course, we immediately got up and left. Before we left, we told him he should be ashamed of his behavior because we really hadn't done anything; we just gave him a small signal to order. His response was, "I was talking to another customer!" Yes, if you want to talk to another customer, go ahead, but don't get upset just because we gave you a signal to order. We didn't speak to you in an unfriendly manner or insult you. This was completely unprofessional and disrespectful behavior!!!!!!!

The food wasn't appetizing; the burger was still pink in the middle and had absolutely no sauce, drier than the desert. There was no cheese to be seen. The drinks were very watery and tasted simply sad. The fries tasted absolutely amazing, but there were fewer than enough of them. Service was okay. The atmosphere vanished as soon as the food arrived. The ice cream was amazing, with a really good play dough flavor 🤗. 2/10; wouldn't recommend it if you want something with flavor!!

The restaurant was very loud, and the service was terrible, especially the cashier. There were 15 of us, and it took over 30 minutes to cash out. There were multiple miscalculations, incorrect money was given out, and after the second person, the lady couldn't give any more change... A disaster. The order is still written down by hand...

We always visit Hard Rock Cafés when traveling in Europe, but the Munich location was absolutely awful. The waitress was extremely rude, unfriendly, and even made faces because we didn’t order more. No real service, no hospitality, just a terrible experience. Definitely the worst Hard Rock we’ve ever been to.

We are absolutely thrilled with the Hard Rock Cafe Munich. What an incredibly great location. A delicious selection of excellent food, and very friendly staff. Since I travel to America several times on business, I immediately felt at home. I am the manager of a successful Munich rock band and had asked if we could introduce ourselves. Our sound and our atmosphere fit perfectly into the atmosphere. Everyone was thrilled, but to date I still haven't received an appointment or any friendly feedback. I wish I would be contacted properly, and what can I say? I promise a full house, a great atmosphere, and a great sound. We now play on various international radio stations, among other things. We have many gigs in the new year. The Hard Rock Cafe is still missing and fits perfectly with our motto: Good rock, great musicians. We love the atmosphere and feel the passion for music. We will also make music history and would be delighted if we could captivate people with our music at the Hard Rock Cafe and if we were given the chance to play there. Our numerous fans come from all over the world and also love the HardRockCafe. They would go crazy if we played there. Let's talk... We promise you a magical evening and unforgettable moments. With an excellent atmosphere for rock fans, it's a must-visit to learn about the curiosities of music lovers by looking at the many iconic objects hanging on the walls. The food is good... it's not delicacies, but it's not bad. I recommend the wings with the hottest sauce; it's quite a challenge if you manage to eat them. I recommend booking a room in the chapel, a soundproof room if you don't want to listen to the music at full volume. The service was a bit terse... but that's quite common here in Munich. If you say it's your birthday, they'll give you a free dessert...

Most of the music played there has nothing to do with hard rock, or even just rock. That's disappointing.

We were really disappointed; it was just a money-making scheme. You couldn't make song requests. Then we asked if the boss could make an alien request, and the answer was, "Unfortunately, that's not possible; you'll get a free drink instead." Forgot about it... They said we were too drunk, even though we'd had a beer beforehand...

The American service attention you are craving after not getting it in other bars. But yes it's still fun. Bar keeps are enthusiastic and friendly. Speak German or not they gotchu. Fun times and probably half the price of the one in Nashville.
