Came here twice during my stay in Hamburg and everything I ordered was super delicious. Veg Thali, veg momo and chana chatpat. The location is also very easily accessible by public transport. Luckily I read someone’s review and took cash with me and will recommend the same if you are travelling from outside Germany and dont have German mastercard. Also the chatpate I had here was the best I have had till date, it was sooo good.

The only place in Hamburg where you can find authentic Nepali Momo and chowmein. Momo ta yeti mitho ki kura garera ma bayan garnu sakdina. You have to try it.

I visited this place for a friends birthday and absolutely loved the food. Every dish we ordered was well made and very tasteful. We tried chicken Momo and chilli chicken Momo, fried rice, fried noodles and on our request they even replaced duck with chicken for a teriyaki stir fry. It was also a relief that they serve Halal meat as sometimes not all restaurants in Hamburg have this option. Another aspect that I really loved about this place was the hospitality of the Owner and his staff. They were so warm and welcoming and this made the whole experience so very lovely for us. Definitely recommended!

We were surprised that we were the only guests at lunchtime. The service is very warm and the food is very tasty. I would treat the store to a lot more guests.

Traditional Nepali food, juicy Nepali Momo and shukuti noodles was really good. I can recommend Nepali chai to finish your meal. The owner is really sweet too.

Wonderful food. Momos are so amazing that even though I don't like onions, I ate them all. Sukuti Chowman was perfectly fried noodles. The highlight was Dhido Set. Mix everything together and enjoy. Hosts attentive and very friendly.

To be honest, you could give less than 5 stars for the ambience, but the food was so delicious that you'd want to give it more than five stars, so it evens out. We had the dumplings from the Nepalese menu. The food is fantastic value for money. The service was also wonderful. We'd love to come back.

Today we stood in front of closed doors when the store opened. A nice craftsman opened the door and said he was alone, there was no sign of the employees, we waited in the cold for 20 minutes and then left disappointed :( Maybe you should rethink your work attitude!

This place offers authentic Nepalese dishes. Highly recommended their Thukpa and Momo and other soups! Owner is really warm person.

Little cosy restaurant with good Nepali tibettian food

Nepalese food, an insider tip around the corner on Osterstrasse. I only know it from Lüneburg, so it's nice that it's now available here too. Starter a wonton soup in a vegetable broth with egg wontons. The momo dumplings in a coconut sauce with a little curry, filled with chicken and vegetables. So completely different to the Chinese. Real Nepalese cuisine and highly recommended. We sat outside in the best weather. Good service and friendly staff!

it was so cozy at the end of the evening. The food was also good and so are the drinks. Unfortunately, the international payment via card is not accepted. They can only accept payment from a German card, which we as travelers do not have. So we had to go through an ATM to exchange them for cash. For everyone try to take cash with you if you don't want to hunt for ATM.

A cozy restaurant on a side street. Nice and quiet with outside seating. We ate chili momo, steam momo, chatpat, Nepali thali and chicken with rice, it was all super tasty. The owner cooks fresh and is very friendly. Typically Nepali. The small restaurant is highly recommended. Big thumbs up! Namaste! 🕉️

The food is super good. If you're in the mood for Nepalese food, try Bhutan (fried lamb stomach) and Momo is always a go.

Six of us spontaneously went out for dinner this evening. Small restaurant, inconspicuous from the outside and inside, but very tasty food. Since everything was freshly cooked, we also had to wait, which we were happy to accept given this quality. Very friendly boss who cooks and serves. We can only recommend this restaurant

Thanks for NOTHING! 🫣 The mango salad consisted of roughly diced mango, apple and carrots with a sprig of coriander. The peppers, red onions and peanuts were missing. Really now? The summer rolls had burst open and roughly carved carrots, cucumbers and iceberg lettuce oozed out towards me. After all, there were 2(!) pieces of chicken in it, as stated. I don't know whether the teriyaki sauce is part of it - I know it differently. How can you process food like this, apparently without any sensitivity? Ruined my evening - thanks again for nothing! The mango salad was then delivered again (my husband had called and forwarded my complaint.) Now all that was missing were the onions and coriander. Unfortunately I also missed the second chance.

One of the best and authentic Nepali restaurants in Hamburg with very friendly staff. Highly recommend trying out their variety of momos and other Nepali dishes.

I particularly love the gebracht Nuddeln and gebracht rice. Black chilli chutney is perfect if you like spicy taste. Also , all people from restaurant are kind and nice. I am living near to this restaurant and more often I visit this.

The Momos and the Chowmin (Noodles with veggies and/or meat) are absolutely amazing!! Steaming hot, spicy and delicious. The portion are huge and it’s quite affordable. Highly recommended in Hamburg. It’s also such a cute restaurant to sit and have dinner with friends. The staff is super nice as well.

Had dinner there this evening. We really liked the food. I assume the owner was extremely friendly. One star deducted because we asked for a damp cloth to put around our table, which after one person felt disturbed by our 4 year old laughing daughter, sneaked up from behind, jumped forward while she was screaming and spreading the contents of her mouth all over our table to clean but unfortunately the owner didn't understand us.

Sehr sehr sehr leckere Momos, handgemacht, sowie eine super leckere Wantan Suppe zur Vorspeise. Service war super sympathisch, schien alles familiär und top. Wir kommen sehr gerne immer wieder. Danke für den wunderschönen Abend und das leckere Essen :)

Wir waren an einem Freitag Abend spontan im Little Buddha und haben draussen gesessen. Das Servicepersonal war sehr freundlich und hat recht zügig die Bestellung aufgenommen. Auf Empfehlung haben wir die Momo (gefüllte Teigtaschen) bestellt, die wirklich sehr lecker waren. Auch die anderen Gerichte (2x Ente, 1x nepalesischer Salat Chanachatpat, 1x Khaja Set) waren geschmacklich gut und die Portionen waren groß. Insbesondere die typisch nepalesischen Gerichte Khaja Set und Chanachatpat waren für uns geschmacklich neu und sehr interessant. Für unser kleines Kind gab es zudem etwas Reis mit Hähnchen und einer Daal-Sauce, was ihm sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis mit ca 30€ pro Person (inkl Vorspeise und Getränken) war angemessen.

Ask for the separate Nepali menu and you will get the best original Nepali food in Hamburg. The staff was very friendly and helpful in deciding the best choice. (In my personal opinion, they should just go all in for the Nepali food and ditch the rest of the menu, which seems a bit all over the place with Ramen, Poke Bowls, Sushi, …)

Das beste Essen, das ich je in meinem Leben gegessen habe, alles ist wirklich fantastisch, der Ort,die Atmosphäre, das Essen, das Team der Arbeiter, sie sind super nett und Little Buddha ist definitiv mein Lieblingsrestaurant geworden

In dem Restaurant hat man die Möglichkeit drin oder draußen zu sitzen. Die Mitarbeiter sind dort auch Freundlichkeit. Und das Essen dort was ich empfehlen kann ist einmal chilli chicken & jhol momo das sind meine fav. Leider fand ich ein Gericht leider nicht so toll, aber ansonsten war alles super kann es nur weiter empfehlen vor allem an die Leute die gerne nepalesisches Kultur essen, essen möchten.

Ein Ort, an dem man sein Essen wie zu Hause bekommt. Ein einfaches Menü, das auf eine nepalesische Gemeinschaft ausgerichtet ist, ist wirklich gut. Apropos Ambiente, der Ort ist klein und gemütlich, bereiten Sie sich darauf vor, in der Nähe der anderen Kunden zu sitzen. Der Besitzer war sehr nett, unterhielt sich ständig mit den Gästen und war sehr freundlich. Auch das Servicepersonal war sehr freundlich, allerdings mussten wir sehr lange auf das Essen warten. Mein Vorschlag wäre, einen Tisch zu reservieren und vorher telefonisch zu bestellen, um Wartezeiten zu vermeiden. Kommen wir zum Geschmack: Sukuti: Eines der besten und sehr empfehlenswert. Für das Momo hätte die Sauce besser sein können. Der Besitzer war wirklich nett, dass er das Essen entsprechend unserer Auswahl geändert hat, was ich persönlich sehr nett finde. Insgesamt eine gute Erfahrung mit dem heimischen Essen.

I was here today for the first time craving for an authentic Nepali taste. The food seemed to be so good as if it was delivered directly from Nepal. The atmosphere was peaceful. It is a must visit place in Hamburg especially if u are a fan of Nepalese food.

Khaja set and jhol Momo was far better and highly recommended. Nice little cozy place to hang out and friendly service…will be back soon again here 😊

Geschmackloses Essen Wir bestellten bei Little Buddha. Ich hatte eine Misosuppe und ein Huehnchengericht. Misosuppe: duenn und geschmacklos, fade. Schmeckte so, als ob man vergass, eine ordentliche Menge Miso in der Suppe aufzulösen. Huehnchengericht mit Nuessen: geschmacklos, duenne Sauce, welke Salatblaetter im Gericht, Gemuese zerkocht, salzig, nicht frisch schmecken. Schade um das Geld, was wir hier gelassen haben. Ich empfehle diesen Lieferservice nicht. Ich habe wesentlich besseres asiatisches Essen gegessen und das zu vergleichbaren Preisen oder guenstiger. Einen Besuch oder eine weitere Bestellung wird es hier von mir nicht geben.

Vor allem der Mangosalat ist super, gerne wieder!! Bislang habe ich das Essen immer abgeholt, alles pünktlich. :-)

Wenn ich 0 Sterne geben könnte würde ich es tun. Ich hab bei Little Buddah etwas bestellt und was ich von dem Lieferanten mit einem Lächeln bekam war eine Frechheit. Die komplette Verpackung des Gerichts offen und die Soße komplett in der Tüte verlaufen bzw. versucht mit einem Tuch zu trocken, dazu noch alles komplett kalt. Was war da denn bitte los? Ich habe auch keine Lust dann nochmal 60 Minuten auf eine neue Portion zu warten. Wenn einem die Packung runterfällt, oder was weiß ich was damit passiert ist, sagt man es dem Kunden und entschuldigt sich und gibt demnach das Geld zurück oder fragt ob die Verzögerung OK ist. Danke für nichts und bestellt wird hier nie wieder.

Das Essen bei Little Buddha ist sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet. Der Sevice ist in Ordnung, nicht immer auf zack, vielleicht ein bisschen desorganisiert (z. B. beim Bezahlen einer Gruppe). Sollte man mit mehreren Personen, z. B. in der Mittagspause dorthin gehen, so lohnt es sich, ein bisschen mehr Zeit einzuplanen.

Unser Lieblingsrestaurant in Eimsbüttel (wir wohnen hier). Wer gern asiatisch isst, wird sich hier wohlfühlen. Die Karte ist vielfältig und bietet auch für Vegetarier viel. Vor allem aber kann die Köchin richtig gut kochen, die Zutaten sind frisch und jeder, der hier mit uns essen war, war begeistert. Dazu ist der Chef wirklich sehr nett und oft gibt's am Ende noch eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit wie z.b. gebackene Bananen im Teigmantel. Dazu ist es auch noch wirklich günstig und bisher haben wir noch immer einen Platz bekommen. Im Sommer kann man gut draußen sitzen. Fazit: Sehr empfehlenswert und sehr sympathisch !! Aus unerklärlichem Grund auch noch immer Geheimtipp!

Zufällig auf dieses Restaurant gestoßen, bin ich seit einigen Jahren immer wieder gerne hier zu Gast. Die Speisen sind authentisch, ein Mix aus Thai/Koreanisch/Chinesisch/Nepalesisch, (fast) alles wird frisch zubereitet. Knusprige Panade, frisches knackiges Gemüse und gut gewürzte Currys in immer sehr guter Qualität bei sehr fairen Preisen. Auch Sushi gibt es, habe ich aber noch nicht getestet. Das Restaurant mit ein paar gemütlichen Außenplätzen liegt etwas abseits der Osterstraße und hat daher wenig Laufkundschaft - was ich dem sehr freundlichen Besitzer aber gönnen würde! So bleibt Little Buddha bislang noch ein Geheimtipp - und für spontane Restaurantbesuche eine sichere Bank in Eimsbüttel, wo man sonst häufig ohne Reservierung keine Chance auf einen Tisch hat.

I am genuinely surprised to see little buddha so low in the ratings with several other Asian chains above it. Since the first time I've visited, there is always consistent delivery of great flavors. The curries are fresh and well made , the stir fry is always on point and they make sure to give you a taste of Asia, which is already a step above many of the places offering Asian fare today in hamburg. The only negative side, food can be a little greasy. That said, I don't order in because of the health properties but to eat well :) keep up the good work, little Buddha. Thanks to foodora, I can now order instead of pick up.
