Classic Greek food. Always worth a visit.

A good restaurant serving Greek/German cuisine in the industrial area of ​​Waldshut, near the campsite/sports field. Very friendly and attentive service and a large menu with excellent value for money. Reservations are required, especially on weekends. Always worth a visit.

This was our first time at Restaurant Linde, and we were absolutely thrilled! The moment we walked in, we received a warm welcome and immediately felt at home – typical Greek hospitality. The atmosphere is cozy and charming; you can tell that the staff puts their heart and soul into it. The food was fantastic: fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. I especially recommend the gyros, the souvlaki, and the homemade tzatziki – simply authentic! The side dishes were also excellent, and the portions were very generous. The service was attentive, friendly, and quick. Despite the restaurant being full, the staff remained cheerful throughout. To top it all off, we were even offered a complimentary ouzo – a wonderful way to end the evening. A little piece of Greece right here in Germany! I will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates good Greek cuisine and genuine hospitality. 🇬🇷💙

Unfortunately, the gyro from the daily special was extremely fatty. It's a good thing they offered a free ouzo afterward...

I had a good gyro at a fair price. The portion was decent, and the staff was quick and friendly. The courtyard is nice, but the chairs are a bit uncomfortable.

I love this restaurant. It's super cozy and I'd say it's the best restaurant in Waldshut in terms of value for money. The portions are more than generous. The selection is large and varied. I love the mushroom starter, although it always takes a little longer (it's freshly prepared on request), and the Rhodes plate (a large grill plate with gyros, bifteki, chicken and steak, rice and potato chips, and the obligatory tzatiki). I can only recommend everyone to go there. It's a real insider tip in my opinion and something that is becoming increasingly rare these days with this level of quality. I definitely recommend it!

We don't understand the negative reviews; we had a different experience: the gyro dish was excellent, and the staff were friendly. Service was fast, and after a short time they brought a delicious mixed salad, which turned out to be part of the main course, so we didn't charge for it. So, good value for money! Tip: put a real Greek salad on the menu; we think it's part of a Greek restaurant.

Hear me out:) I came here after I've eaten a great dinner at the nearby italian restaurant. It was good, really, and I didn't expect to eat anything better. I'll try to make this quick: should every greek restaurant make as good food as this one, we would never even consider italian:)))

Beautiful, shady, and airy garden restaurant, perfect for yesterday's hot weather. We ordered two dishes from the daily menu and had to wait almost half an hour, even though it wasn't that busy. A larger group arrived shortly after us, so maybe that had something to do with it. The gyro meat was almost inedible, very dry, and very hard. The salad came with the drinks, on top of the rest of the meal and the second dish, three pieces of lamb and a Greek salad, half an hour later. A lackluster Greek salad with a watery sauce and three small, tough pieces of lamb. I was still hungry when we left the restaurant, which has never happened to me at a Greek restaurant before. Personally, I unfortunately can't recommend it to anyone, and I won't be visiting the restaurant again.

The gyros are very well seasoned and the staff is friendly. We'll be back again and again.

Very tasty, authentic Greek food with top service!

Very good food and starter included in the Gyros dish, however waiting 1 hour for a gyros is pathetic.

I never thought a Greek restaurant could surprise me so much. Everything there was just perfect. The food was fantastic, the service impeccable, the atmosphere pleasant, and all at a very reasonable price. It certainly won't be my last time there. I highly recommend it.

The food is delicious and the prices are very fair. Unfortunately, the service is not. It was our second time there and we waited 45 minutes for the food (others waited 25 minutes), even though there weren't many customers. We weren't brought any more drinks, even though the glasses were empty. No one asked how the food was, and no one said goodbye when we left. The food was good, but we still won't be back.

Easter Sunday, many large groups. We have already placed our order so that it can be prepared well. The appetizer platter and the grilled feta are simply incredibly delicious 😋 The main courses were also well received by everyone. Despite being busy, the service is friendly. 👍

The owners are from Rhodes and that's exactly what you notice when you eat. This is where a Greece vacation comes to the table. I felt like I was in Lindos, but the sea was still missing. An absolute recommendation from me.

You can really recommend the Linde tree without reservation! There is Greek and German cuisine and all the dishes taste really good. The prices are really very humane for the proximity to Switzerland👍. The staff is very friendly and always takes care of the guests. And in summer there is also a beautiful beer garden outside where you can really relax. I always enjoy being here ❤️

Good Greek food paired with very friendly and courteous service. There are some parking spaces directly in front of the restaurant. The map offers a sufficiently large variety. We'd love to come back. A big plus compared to most Greek restaurants: card payment is possible - this alone is a reason to give this restaurant preference!

If you're looking for a star restaurant, you're in the wrong place there. It was just right for us. I love Greek dishes and was completely satisfied. My husband also really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is very pleasant. The employees are great. Our dachshund was also welcome.

We spontaneously went to eat here today because we are on vacation for a week in Waldshut-Tiengen. The service as well as our food was excellent and tasty. Very friendly service. We will be here until Saturday and have reserved a table again for Friday, we are looking forward to it.... Can recommend the restaurant!

On Sunday we visited the Linde Inn. When we arrived we were asked if we had a reservation. We said no and took a seat at a free table. That was the last contact with a waitress. We then watched as other guests who arrived later were provided with drinks and menus. The other guests present were all taken care of and the amount of work was limited. After 40 minutes of fruitless waiting and no attention from the three waitresses, we left the restaurant frustrated and never to be seen again. In my opinion, such behavior is disgraceful.

Quietly located close to customs. Lots of parking spaces. Very nice restaurant with a Greek atmosphere. Large garden under the trees. Very good Greek dishes and many other dishes with meat, fish, etc. Portions are very large and inexpensive. There is also an offer for small appetites. Friendly staff. Special requests for food and drinks can also be fulfilled. My specialty is calamari, which is very large and baked in a fine dough. (No rubber rings like elsewhere). If something goes wrong in the kitchen, a replacement will be provided immediately.

Very nice people. We were served very friendly. That was fun. Gyros at lunch were a bit gristly and rather mildly seasoned. I prefer it grilled a little crispier, maybe that's a matter of taste.

I came here quickly for lunch. I received a friendly welcome. The order was placed quickly and easily. The food was excellent. As you would expect in a pub. I ate the fitness plate with schnitzel. Very good. Plus a large cola. There would have been an ouzo on the house. For 15.90 you can also expect less. I'm very satisfied.

Excellent Greek food. Reasonable prices. Great location close to the swiss border. Perfect for a dinner after shopping session in Waldshut. If the restaurant is crowded it can take a while until you get your food, but it is totally worth it. Recommended to do a reservation , esp on Friday and Saturdays. Chef is Greek and does excellent Gyros - try the plate for two. You can take the food in a doggy bag if it is too much. Kids love the Suflaki (small portion). Started are also very tasty!

Nice and affordable lunch menu. The restaurant is in industrial area of the town. We stopped by for lunch. Plenty of tables on the terrace outside. Friendly and quick service. I had piccata which came with the salad for lunch menu. Tasted great beside just one part of the breading wa bitter, which they will inform the kitchen. I'd recommend if you pass by the area.

Mit ziemlicher Überraschung erfuhr ich heute, dass die neuen Besitzer wieder griechische Spezialitäten anbieten. Ich fasse meine Erfahrungen kurz zusammen: das beste griechische Essen in der Region.

Sehr gutes Essen und schön zum raussitzen

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal hier in der Linde. Nach der Reservation, welche dringend empfohlen wird, waren wir gespannt was uns erwartet. Als Griechisches Speiselokal bedingungslos zum empfehlen. Wir hatten einmal „Ouzo Mezze“ zum Einstimmen. Eine kalte gemischte Vorspeisenauswahl, sehr appetitlich angerichtet und lecker. Auch mein Rhodos Teller ist eine Empfehlung. Das Gyros sehr saftig und nicht überwürzt. Nicht so trocken und verbrutzelt wie mancherorts. Mit reichlich Ztaziki, Bifteki, Schweinesteak und Hähnchenspiess gereicht. Reicht mit dem kleinen Salat locker ohne eine Vorspeise. Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Hierher kommen wir jetzt sicher öfter. Zumal das Preisniveau noch durchaus als human zu bezeichnen ist. Allergiker bei Insektenstichen sollten in der Gartenwirtschaft auch einmal mit der Anwesenheit von einer Hornisse rechnen. Diese sind zwar friedlich, fliegen aber schon mal neugierig über den leckeren Speisenteller. Vermutlich ist unweit der Gaststätte irgendwo ein Nest. Mit langsamen, nicht hektischen Bewegungen lassen sie sich z.B. mit der Serviette beiseite schieben und akzeptieren schnell das sie nicht erwünscht sind.

Wir waren innerhalb 1 Woche 2 mal hier und uns hat es in jeder Hinsicht sehr gut gefallen.

Biergarten schön, wurden Herzlichst begrüßt, Essen war sehr Lecker, mussten nicht lange warten, Preis / Leistung passt, sehr gerne wieder.

Haben im Biergarten zu Abend gegessen. Essen und Service waren top👍
