Lilac Restaurant and Bar in Köln

We went once last year because everything else nearby was closed - the food and atmosphere were terrible and not worth the money. The people weren't very friendly and there was an unpleasant smell... There are also often parties there where it is incredibly loud and the public order office is actually always there. We live one street away and can still hear it there...

We rented this restaurant, which is closed and is offered for celebrations via Ebay classifieds for events. Just booking and viewing the room was very adventurous. I had to write him a so-called "receipt" via WhatsApp for the booking 😂 normally the customer gets a receipt but well, the gentleman doesn't speak German either, he had also offered to speak to my girlfriend in Persian so that we could communicate better, but he wasn't at all interested in being friendly. The owner wanted 65 first!!! € an hour plus a very high fee for the final cleaning (over €60) and I was allowed to come an hour beforehand to decorate. After a lot of back and forth he went down to €50 an hour (still a ridiculous price) and after a lot of negotiation I was allowed to come decorate 2 hours in advance (wow...). So we booked this room from 6 p.m. to midnight (out of necessity because we unfortunately couldn't find anything else for a birthday). I went to bring all the drinks over beforehand and it smelled really disgusting like cigarettes, smoke and burnt food. The refrigerators were very dirty (with old food) and everything was full of drinks/empty alcohol bottles. But the worst part was the cold! Our guests were all standing there with jackets on because it was really just so cold. The heaters were supposedly on but none of the radiators were warm. He also had a radiant heater on, which provided some heat, but far too little to keep both rooms warm (all the guests stood in a circle at this radiator - no joke). It's also worth mentioning that the owner apparently lives in the same house and kept coming down and just sitting in the kitchen with his friends, even though we rented the room for such an exorbitant price. Then he started cooking for himself... or came out of the kitchen every now and then and made himself a coffee at the bar... where we were partying. He and his friends were all wearing jackets but it wasn't cold at all. For such a price and in general, if you rent out a room, you simply can't sit there with your friends at a private event. I was sometimes really speechless. I had to keep texting him on WhatsApp saying it was way too cold, we were really freezing. That was also embarrassing for our guests. He kept consoling us that it would soon be warm and that the heaters were on full blast (the heaters were cold). After repeating it several times, he arrived with a second heater (around 8:30 p.m. i.e. after over 2 hours) and he simply placed it on a stool. At some point it started to smell strange... the paint on the stool was completely burnt! A complete catastrophe... no trace of insight, he can't help it when it's cold outside... Strangely enough, it's not cold in our house (despite the cold outside) when we turn on the heating... The music box that he presents so well on eBay is also a disaster, doesn't work properly and the connection keeps hanging. I can only advise everyone not to celebrate their party in this store and spend so much money to be cold and to have to deal with such an unfriendly owner. As I write this, I'm still stunned by this...

The inner courtyard where they keep the food machines is not very clean. The owners do not follow residence rules, if you rent this place, Ordnungsamt will call.

Restaurant was very good and tasted very tasty. And music was very nice. I would like to come to it again

I had my party in this restaurant three months ago. My conversation partner was Amin. Personally, I bought enough alcohol from the wholesaler for my party guests. After the last guest left, I counted the number of alcohol bottles. When I went to pick up the remaining bottles the next morning, there were 4 bottles too few. I strongly suspect that these bottles were stolen. There is no other option. I am therefore very disappointed.

The staff was extremely nice and all inquiries were handled uncomplicated and professionally. The Lilac Restaurant is the best restaurant in Winer Platz. I recommend everyone to visit this restaurant with its pleasant atmosphere and delicious food.👌👍

Wieso werden Gutscheine verkauft und Reservierungen vorgenommen obwohl das Restaurant geschlossen ist? Nicht zu empfehlen. Gutscheine können nicht eingelöst werden.

I wanted to chill so I ordered cocktail which was so good and reasonable so I ordered second one,team was so friendly and energetic I can say , I recommend it!!!.

Bin zufällig vorbeigekommen und war überrascht wie nett und herzlich die Eigentümer sind. Sie sind gerade noch dabei das Restaurant neu einzurichten deshalb gab es noch keine Speisen aber das kommt dann nächste Woche. Ich hatte nur einen Kaffee und der war super lecker. Ich komme gerne wieder

Wir haben letzte Woche Sonntag im Restaurant gefeiert und ehrlich sollte ich sagen, dass der Service aufmerksam war, ich empfehle Ihnen, wenn Jemand in einem topen Ambiente feiern möchte, ich habe dafür begeistert und der Chef ist auch sehr nett und ganz ruhig.

Richtig schlechter Service, unfreundlich und unprofessionel!

Raum zum mieten. Keine Heizung. Kontaktperson Ultra unfreundlich und von Einsicht keine Spur. Feuerwehreinsatz ist vorprogrammiert da versucht wird mit Heizstrahler zu heizen, auf einem Holz Tisch.

Wir haben das Restaurant nur an der Inneneinrichtung erkannt, innen wurde noch gebaut und es war eher das Publikum einer Eckkneipe vor Ort. Als wir uns hingesetzt haben, wurden die anderen Tischen geräumt, auf denen die Inhaber bastelten. Die Pommes waren tatsächlich aus "echten" Kartoffeln aber leider etwas kalt, dafür war das Bier warm. Alles schient etwas improvisiert, die Bedienung unbeholfen ( bei 4 Gästen). Ist mir ein Rätsel wie die guten Bewertungen zustande gekommen sind. Die verklebte Speisenkarte spricht für sich.

Sehr nettes Restaurant und das Essen schmeckt extrem gut kann echt weiter empfehlen und der Besitzer ist sehr sympathisch 🌹🌹

Pommes waren aus echten Kartoffeln und sie machten sie selbst,das Burgerfleisch war aus frischem Fleisch und es war klar,dass es kein gefrorenes Fleisch oder eine Art Fleisch ist,das jeder auf Märkten kauft.Atmosphäre war sehr freundlich und warm und eigentlich sehr modern

Ich kann mich den anderen Rezensionen leider nicht anschließen. Der Service war nicht gut. Es musste aktiv nach einer Speisekarte gefragt werden. Platz finden, Getränke bestellen, es war alles sehr schleppend. Man wurde von den beiden Herren hinter der Bar aktiv missachtet. Das auf der Website angepriesene Schreckenskammer Kölsch, gibt es nicht. Der Flur zur Toilette roch wie ein alter Aschenbecher und die Spielautomaten passen nicht wirklich zum angestrebten, seriösen Ambiente. Erst als der mutmaßliche Chef kam, wurde der Service ein wenig besser, weil er sich dann gekümmert hat. Das Essen ist für diesen Preis, selbst bei Inflation und momentanen Preisen, absolut überteuert. 13€ für einen Burger ohne Pommes, mit kleinem, tot gebratenem Patty und trockenem Fertigbrötchen finde ich überzogen. An dem Schuss Kaffeesatz/Espresso im Burger-Patty oder der Fertigsauce darauf, kann es auch nicht liegen. Den Burger, den ich eigentlich bestellen wollte, gab es nicht. Man muss erst die Zutaten einkaufen, war die Ansage dazu. Die nachbestellten Pommes waren nicht richtig frittiert und entsprechend teilweise roh. Sauce gab es keine dazu. Auf der abschließenden Rechnung fehlten die Getränke, weil die Kasse anscheinend ein Problem damit hat. Naja. Wir werden auf keinen Fall wieder kommen, da es in Mülheim deutlich bessere und günstigere Alternativen gibt. Wirklich keine Empfehlung.

Wir sind aufgrund der guten Bewertungen zu Lilac gegangen und waren im Nachhinein etwas enttäuscht. Wie diese guten Bewertungen entstanden sind, ist uns ein Rätsel. Wir haben eine ausgedruckte zerfledderte Loseblattsammlung als Menükarte erhalten. Auf den Fotos gab es nett angerichtete Burger mit Pommes zu sehen. Der stolze Preis von 12 bis 15€ ist jedoch nur für einen Burger ohne Beilage berechnet worden. Die Burger waren ok. Das Brot war relativ günstig und leicht zusammendrückbar. Der Burger war innerhalb von 3 min aufgegessen. Die Portion war jetzt nicht so riesig, dass man sagen könnte, dass 14€ für diesen Burger angemessen sind. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier definitv nicht!!!! Die Kellner geben sich Mühe und die Atmosphäre ist OK. Aber auch nur ok, weil, als wir angekommen sind, hatten wir das Gefühl, dass man überrascht war, dass Gäste den Laden betreten. Naja wie dem auch sei, wir wissen jetzt, dass wir nicht nochmal herkommen. Absolut überteuert!!!

Sehr gutes und vor allem frisches Essen. Wir haben ein Burger und ein Sandwich mit hausgemachten Pommes gegessen und die waren köstlich. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und mit Leidenschaft bei der Arbeit. Ein neuer Ort, an dem es sich auf jeden Fall lohnt, einen Abend zu verbringen.

Super kompetentes und nettes Personal, waren super zuvorkommend und hilfreich. Mir wurde von einer anderen Location kurzfristig abgesagt und ich war schon sehr am verzweifeln, da ich meinen 30. Geburtstag feiern wollte. Spontan habe ich Team Lilac angeschrieben und sie haben mir meine Traum Party verwirklicht! Die Preise sind absolut konform und gerechtfertigt! Hier kommen wir immer wieder her!!!! Vielen Dank

Ich wahr zur Neueröffnung da und probierte den Burger der exzellent geschmeckt hat und erfuhr dass man die Location auch für Events buchen kann. Kann es einfach nur weiter empfehlen.

Wir haben das Lilac Restaurant als Event-Location für unseren 30. Geburtstag gebucht und es lief alles super und reibungslos. Die Vorabsprachen waren unkompliziert und die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich. Wir konnten sogar die Musikanlage nutzen. Diese sollte man aber nach 22 Uhr etwas runter drehen, da sie ordentlich Power hat. ;-) Unsere Gäste waren alle begeistert. Wir können das Lilac nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Per Zufall heute Abend vorbei gekommen und die neue Lokalität entdeckt. Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und Corona komform empfangen und eingecheckt. Da es noch keine Speisekarte gab wurde diese uns vom Inhaber erklärt und besprochen. Wir haben uns die Burger 🍔 empfehlen lassen und bestellt. Selbige waren top. Wir fühlten uns sehr herzlich willkommen und können nur von ganzem Herzen alles Gute für die Eröffnung und für die Zukunft wünschen und das in den schweren Zeiten. Wir kommen gerne wieder und werden Stammgäste
