Excellent food and top service!

We had a fantastic birthday party at Brauhaus Quetsch, right on the Rhine! Great service, fantastic food, beautiful location – everything was perfect. All of our guests loved it! Sarah, Heinz, and the entire Quetsch team looked after us and cooked for us in a friendly and accommodating manner; it was truly a lot of fun. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

If Cologne, then squeeze it too! Once is a must, twice is better :-)

Unfortunately not, but probably because we had a different idea of ​​what a brewery would look like. More typically Bavarian... very simple in terms of food.

We went there for dinner. It was a very quaint and cozy brewery with a wide selection of dishes. Friendly service and good value for money. Beautiful view of the Rhine. Highly recommended overall.

We were there for the suckling pig brunch. We received a friendly welcome and were shown to our table. The service was quick and friendly. The brunch started with breakfast. Delicious fresh rolls, various sausages, cheese, salmon, various types of scrambled eggs, etc. 👍 Then, from 1 p.m., there was suckling pig with various delicious side dishes. To finish, there was Kaiserschmarrn with prunes hot from the pan. I would come back anytime. Unfortunately, one or two of the reserved tables remained empty because the guests didn't show up and didn't cancel. I wonder what's wrong with these people? I think they're losing a lot of income because of this. They should think about it so that such events can continue to take place.

We've been waiting for our food for over an hour. When we ordered, there was no mention of it taking longer today. They smoke in the restaurant, which isn't fun when you have a small child with you. We'll definitely not be coming here again. Edit: Yes, of course you're allowed to smoke on the terrace. However, it was enclosed all around by movable walls and the roof. This created an enclosed space. For those not familiar with the area, it wasn't obvious that it was a terrace.

We stopped by today spontaneously because it's near my grandma. And we were very pleasantly surprised. It's a very nice and lovingly decorated restaurant. The service was very friendly and fast. They even accommodated my grandma's special requests without any problems. Everything was fresh and homemade, not convenience food, which is very important to us. And it was delicious :) My only criticism is that it could have been a bit warmer; the mushrooms and potato rösti were a bit too cold. We will definitely go back.

Highly recommended, good quality, slightly small portions. Reservations are recommended, especially for the terrace in good weather. Parking is typical of Cologne. We'll be happy to return.

Königsforst Schnitzel with French Fries - €24.90 for a thin, probably frozen schnitzel with crispy, dark brown fries. No toppings on the plate, such as a lettuce leaf or tomato for garnishing. The mushroom sauce, which came on its own, was okay, but it needed some seasoning. The service and location with a view of the Rhine were fine. Everything in the restaurant was showing its age. I wouldn't go back. For the food alone.

Yesterday wasn't our first time at Quetsch. We chose Quetsch as a location with friends for the Cologne Lights festival, and we didn't go wrong. The host had a barbecue and there was a buffet. It was certainly smaller, but it felt like 50 different types of meat, pasta wrapped in cheese, salads, Kaiserschmarren (sweet pancakes), and much, much more. A fantastic evening. More important for anyone interested, however, is that the food is also incredibly delicious. It's always a great start to a lovely evening there or for later in Cologne.

Great view of the Rhine and the old town. Even in the rain, you won't get wet on the terrace. Good, not overly expensive food. Friendly staff.

Incredible views from above of the Rhine, with the cathedral on one side and greenery on the other. A wonderful terrace, prompt, friendly service. Tender roast beef with remoulade, delicious crispy fried potatoes.

The welcome was friendly and the service very attentive. The view of the Rhine is also remarkable, which I unfortunately can't say about my meal. Three small rösti and mushroom sauce were a convenience item, along with a salad with ready-made dressing for €18.00.

Yes, a beautiful location on the Rhine and a restaurant with a passion for good food and drinks. And one of the few in Cologne with truly good brewery cuisine, and not a tourist spot; it's still like a local neighborhood.

Wow! The view has always been great! Like a day of vacation. The kitchen is great! The pork schnitzel with hunter's sauce and fries was excellent. This was ordered three times at our table. And everyone was totally happy. The side salad that we ordered was super fresh and delicious 😋 and the Gaffel Lemon is served in an ice-cold glass. Super refreshing 🍋🍺🧊 Would love to come back. When the weather is great, sit outside with a wonderful view of the Rhine, the Rodenkirchener Bridge and the most beautiful panorama of the most beautiful city on the Rhine. My tip: definitely go with a visitor, the greatest view ❤️ and hearty, top quality food!!! I haven't been there for some time. What the kitchen prepared for us yesterday was really great!!! We used to come just for the view... Now we add good food and nice service. Let's remember! 😉 ...and would be happy to recommend it to others! Very friendly and attentive service (even though we hadn't made a reservation for the two of us on a Friday evening, they were still able to offer us a nice spot on the terrace). The food was truly delicious, the portions were huge, and the view was stunning.

Nice location, beautiful view of the Rhine, delicious food. The service, however, was having a bad day. We arrived, and the lady who showed us to the table was extremely bitchy for no reason! That's something I personally can't stand. And that's just because she had to repeat herself once. It's the tone that makes the music. If I don't feel like working, I should do something else. The only interesting thing was the restaurant's decor. The food was a disaster: the salad was shrunken and mushy, and the chicken was breaded with curry. But that's a matter of taste.

Very friendly staff. It's just a shame I only found one vegan dish. A tarte flambée with a finger-thick layer of cold vegetables on top. Even the stand at Obi now offers vegan currywurst. And recently, Café Extrablatt had vegan and vegetarian schnitzel variations. I was a bit disappointed.

The absolute highlight is the view of the Rhine from the terrace. The service was extremely friendly, courteous, and helpful. The food could have been better, but we'll be back :) Another positive aspect is the large selection of children's dishes.

We had reserved a table for 8 people for our stag night. We were initially seated at a table that was too small, but they later extended it, making it very close to the adjacent table. We ordered our food and waited a full hour for it, some of which was even lukewarm. The vegetarian dish was completely forgotten and didn't arrive until the rest was almost ready. The service also left a lot to be desired, as the waiter only came once to ask for drinks and never again. They also didn't listen to the occasional question and clearing the table. Three out of eight people even had stomach problems after eating. Once and never again.

The food is okay. We had spaetzle and the burger. Some of the spaetzle were burnt, and the fries were too hard. Today it was relatively busy, and there were long waits. But it was still acceptable. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly.

A very nice restaurant with a wonderful view of the Rhine from the beautiful terrace. Unfortunately, the food can no longer match the ambiance. Since Rodenkirchen is my hometown, I come here every now and then with friends and family. And I have to say that for about four years now, I've noticed that the food isn't as good as it used to be. Today I had the Rhenish Sauerbraten. In my opinion, the meat wasn't marinated long enough; the typical sour flavor was missing from both the meat and the sauce. The sauce was simply sweet, with too many raisins. The red cabbage was the same—not very sour, actually just sweet. And last but not least, the dumplings weren't tasty either. I don't think they were homemade, and they were strangely seasoned, with a peppery taste. So, I like to come back again and again for the ambiance, and hopefully, I'll be able to come back for the food in the future, too. Unfortunately, after today's meal, I can't say that.

Yes, I recommend it! There were seven of us, including our dog, and we had made a reservation. The reception was very friendly, and we were immediately informed about the dog's drinking bowl. We were given a menu and served very quickly and with great friendliness. The view of the Rhine and the cathedral is exceptional. Despite the warm temperatures, it was very airy and pleasant on the terrace. We not only enjoyed the food, but also the silhouette of the cathedral at sunset. A lovely, successful evening!

We discovered it by chance and were absolutely thrilled. The "Königsforst" schnitzel was sensational. I've never tasted anything better! Respect. We'll definitely be back. The location is also fantastic. Early reservations are recommended for a front-row seat.

We wanted to sit directly on the Rhine with Nluck, which we had reserved. However, we were seated in the second row, which is supposed to be part of the river. Unfortunately, we didn't see much.

Friendly and fast service. Heaven and earth: The Flöns (a kind of sausage) was crispy fried and creamy inside, the mashed potatoes were impeccable, and overall the seasoning was pleasantly rich. Large portions to fill you up. Also recommended: goulash with spaetzle and meatloaf with fried potatoes. Still reasonable despite the price increase.

The food we ordered was okay. Nothing wow-worthy, but nothing to complain about either. Solid. The service was mixed, but was made up for by the table service. The waiter was very attentive and professional. The positive review is rounded out by the view of the Rhine from the terrace.

We celebrated my wife's birthday at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the portions generous, and the view of the Rhine was beautiful. The service was good and attentive—although we had to wait a bit due to the large number of guests. However, all the dishes were served at the same time for everyone. The prices are reasonable. And the most amazing thing: the waitress, a very honest and decent woman, returned €200 that had been lost. Thank you so much for that! I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Nice cozy heated terrace with a beautiful view of the water. When the weather is nice it is completely packed here! Classic German dishes, but also some popular international dishes. A very small wine list, but good cocktails and desserts! Definitely worth repeating!

Ich habe noch nie so etwas Unfreundliches erlebt. Wir waren mit unseren Kindern dort. Nachdem wir uns hingesetzt hatten, nahmen die Kinder ein paar Bierdeckel und bauten daraus ein kleines Haus. Da kam die Bedienung und sagte direkt als erstes: „Die Bierdeckel legt ihr bitte zurück, die sind nicht zum Spielen.“ Wir waren so perplex, dass wir gar nicht antworten konnten. Daraufhin haben wir das Restaurant sofort verlassen. Es ist ja nicht so, als hätten die Kinder die Bierdeckel herumgeworfen oder kaputt gemacht – das wäre etwas anderes. Aber ein Haus zu bauen, ist doch völlig normal. Ich bin immer noch schockiert

Good home cooking. Probably a bit overpriced because of the view. Asparagus with Wiener Schnitzel for €45 is definitely way over the top for this location. But if it is accepted... why not

The two of us were there spontaneously yesterday. Since it was around 4 p.m., when you entered the restaurant, all the tables you could see on the left were free, but not cleared. A girl asked us about a reservation and said that without a reservation it would be really bad. I was a little surprised and asked if we could have one of the free tables for half an hour to eat. Somewhat reluctantly, she allowed us to choose a clean table ourselves. Unfortunately, that wasn't a good first impression. But then our actual waiter arrived, who also worked behind the counter. He was super nice and genuine, which made everything better. The boss also came and asked how it tasted. Very personable. About the ambience: I only saw the front area. I actually really like it, so comfortable. However, there is a massive ice chest in the middle of the guest area, which serves its purpose, but unfortunately devalues ​​the whole rustic ambience. Maybe you could just cover the chest with a dark lumberjack and stick a squeeze chest on top, then it would fit in great. Eat: We had asparagus soup and Sylt bruschetta as starters. Both really great, also great in terms of idea! The main course was a portion of asparagus with potatoes and hollandaise. Asparagus portion was huge, crunchy to the point and simply a poem. Homemade hollandaise, potatoes exactly as they should be. If you want to eat fresh asparagus, this is the right place for you. The second main course “Königsforst Schnitzel”, it was a classic Jägerschnitzel. Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed here. Schnitzel looked nice, but unfortunately it was dry. Just like the fries, which were probably fried twice. The sauce, fortunately brought separately, was very thick. Unfortunately, the food probably sat for a while until it was served because it wasn't hot. For 22.30 euros a small side salad would have been justifiable. Conclusion: All in all a very nice restaurant with nice staff and a good menu. We would come back.

Had a great day, 9 of us were there for lunch. The food was pretty good...schnitzel and rösti from the deep fryer...fried onions on the sky and sooo sloppy...but the service was very good...I'd be happy to come back, but not for the meal 😉
