Lovely local brewhouse with lovely service and great food. Hunter schnitzel recommended!

I had dinner with friends at the brewery today. I should actually have known better, a pub (I wouldn't want to call this location a restaurant) that offers its guests a diverse range of dishes from pizza, tapas and good home-style German dishes, without having a clear culinary direction just not be good. I still tried it and ordered a “Wiener-Style Schnitzel” for around €22 and I was extremely disappointed, my original fears were unfortunately 100% confirmed. While the service was super nice and the fries were even good, the schnitzel in no way deserved its name. The leathery piece on my plate (I don't even want to call it meat) was not only extremely small and paper-thin, but was also extremely hard and tasted miserable! It could also have been nailed to the wall as a soundproofing tile. It was the cheapest convenience food from frozen cans, which was baked rock-hard by the kitchen (whether there was a chef or rather a kitchen assistant at work here?). In my opinion, charging a price of €22 for this is a complete impudence on the part of the operator! This was canteen junk from the bottom drawer worth a maximum of €6.50. So you might make some money in the short term, but lose your customers in the long term. I didn't necessarily expect a gourmet schnitzel, but at least something edible that deserved the name schnitzel. If you can't do it or don't want to, then it's better to just leave it alone and just continue to offer ready-made pizzas from the chest. In any case, I won't be coming back to eat and won't recommend this establishment to any of my friends. To go out for a drink yes, but to eat a 100% NO.

Good food and friendly staff. Atmosphere fits too. But why is it called a brewery and doesn't have its own beer? The selection of beers is good and there is something for everyone, but at a brewery I expect a home-brewed beer

Wir haben dieses Restaurant immer für seinen tollen Service und die ausgezeichnete Küche geschätzt. Leider war unser letzter Besuch enttäuschend. Trotz des guten Essens wurde der Abend durch einen unhöflichen Empfang und wenig einladenden Service ruiniert. Wir hatten hier stets bessere Erfahrungen gemacht und hoffen, dass sich dies wieder ändert.

Cozy, middle-class inn in the heart of Leimen with great, car-free and quiet outdoor facilities. Very attentive, fast and nice service. The menu is huge - from pizza to tapas and burgers to German cuisine... obviously this menu is intended to appeal to ALL guests. No recognizable concept. We had tagliatelle with mushroom sauce, vegetable ravioli, a Greek salad with a portion of fries, a Swiss sausage salad with bread, as well as 3 non-alcoholic drinks (0.4 l each) and 1 sour wheat shandy outside. Total price: 82.10 euros. Unfortunately, my sausage salad was not satisfactory: convenience sausage in strips and ready-made, grated cheese from the (discount) bag, unfortunately almost no dressing at all and the portion size was very, very clear. This can be done much better and was disappointing. The Greek salad also had far too little dressing. The other dishes were and tasted good. Oh yes: there is no home-brewed beer here - I expected that in a brewery. Very unfortunate. 3-4 stars.

I have to be honest, basically ok. But I actually eat better at Lake Constance for the price. But overall okay.

Overpriced. Price/performance is no longer right here. Drinks and dishes are clearly too expensive.

Food is ok (grilled plates), unfortunately one expects from a brewery, also “Brauhaus Essen”. Pizza, pasta, tapas was not what was expected/looking for. I would have been happy with a brewery platter (sausage/cheese/Obazda/meat salad or or) with bread or something Bavarian (hock/hock of pork...). However, what we ordered was ok. The price is quite high according to the region, but very high compared to the rest of Germany.

Great brewery with a good atmosphere. The staff is very nice and regularly ask if anything is missing, such as drinks or the like. The menu has a wide selection. Typical brewery food but also regional delicacies, pizza and vegetarian dishes can be chosen. The prices are fair and you can pay in cash or by card. I can highly recommend the brewery.

Solid cuisine. Was delicious. Ordering went quickly, friendly staff. It was also nice to sit outside in the beer garden on Georgi-Platz.

There is an extra gluten-free menu here!! This should definitely be made more visible, it would definitely attract even more guests. You just have to be careful when ordering that you mention again that it should be the gluten-free version, since, for example, fries or salads are available in both gluten-containing and gluten-free versions. The food is delicious, the children can play at the fountain and the service is friendly! We are very happy that this place exists and will definitely come back soon.

We were at the brewery again in June 2024. Unfortunately, the food there had changed for the worse when we last visited in 2019. Back then we could have recommended the brewery without hesitation. Unfortunately not anymore today. We “only” had the bratwurst and the pork loin, but it didn’t taste good. Too much flavor enhancer and the price/performance isn't right anymore. The menu is a confusion between pizza, tapas and German food. Maybe you should choose one line, although you associate a "Brauhaus" with down-to-earth German cuisine. Too bad!

Quaint location, good hearty food and friendly, attentive service. And freshly tapped beer. If you want to eat well in Leimen, you're in good hands here.

Two espressos were ordered with two glasses of tap water. Two espressos with mineral water were brought and should also be charged. The waiter took the two tap waters back and made it clear that he wasn't bringing us any tap water. This is how you can treat your customers.

Very nice here. Food was OK. Service very nice.

The service employee was very friendly and quick. What was very annoying, however, was that the delivery person for the kitchen loudly folded or stacked the pallets and foldable boxes right next to our table for transport. And this for over 20 minutes... Although the food was expensive, it was more of a low budget option. So my schnitzel was certainly industrially made and tasted like that, boring and like cheap meat. Or it had already been breaded hours before... I expect more from a brewery!

A cozy evening with good food and lovely colleagues

A very nice restaurant. When the weather is nice there is a great beer garden, and the parking garage is right next door. Staff is friendly and helpful and very competent! I was there for breakfast with my girlfriend, there was absolutely nothing to complain about! I haven't seen it so perfect anywhere in a long time!

The name suggests more than there is behind it...it's a normal restaurant, unfortunately not a brewery. Food is ok, service is friendly.

I can only recommend! The food is really good and the people are very nice. Everyone should be able to find what they are looking for on the standard menu, and there is also a weekly changing menu with even more delicious dishes. We really enjoy eating here.

The menu is a bit too diverse for me, from pizza, pasta to tapas and supposedly traditional German dishes and, and... you should narrow it down a bit. The dishes we serve are Brauhaus Mix Grill, pork schnitzel with paprika cream sauce and spaetzle Side salad. The dishes were neither convincing in terms of taste, quality nor quantity. For the prices, which are extremely exorbitant in my opinion, you can expect a little more. You should also pay attention to any damage to the plate or sort it out. Even the drinks are well above the general average. In short, with all the expectations for a brewery, apart from the ambience, it was one bitter disappointment. The crowning glory of the whole thing was that the otherwise courteous staff loudly rearranged the table and chair positions in the middle of the catering operation, so that normal conversation at the table was almost impossible. The whole thing is just a snapshot, I can't comment on the other dishes and I won't try them either. Personally, I will not visit this location again.

It was my first time at Brauhaus Leimen and I can recommend it.

Burger from the weekly menu (€18.70) from the Leimener Brauhaus. Cozy seating on the public square with a fountain, friendly and quick service. The burger was fine, fresh and tasty with fries. But €9.20 for a 0.5l wine spritzer, seriously?

Never had such good asparagus before! I only know asparagus as “limp” but this one had, how should I say, “bite” or was “al dente”, really good! The rest of the food was also very good, although I would have liked fried breadcrumbs with the asparagus. The staff was also really nice and fulfilled every wish!

Very tasty food. Also regional dishes. Prices are completely ok. Ambience rustic to cozy. Service was ok. I think they were students who wanted to earn something. Nevertheless, we'll go back. 😀 Definitely a recommendation!

Actually the store deserves a star! The sauce from the roast roast simply tastes like Maggi! (I thought so many flavor enhancers were only available at Chinese snack bars)!!! After a forkful of spaetzle with sauce you had a film on your palate, I have never wished for such a film break! Instead of so much Maggi, I would have preferred an extra portion of carbonation in my beer! Sorry, not recommended!!!

We were guests at 1:30 p.m. We had a quiet table in the corner, which was great because we had a dog with us. It took a while before we could place our order. Afterwards we waited almost 1.5 hours for a schnitzel and a large salad! That's just too long. Yes, the restaurant was busy, but that was just too long. Since we weren't told that it might take longer. Our food tasted very good.

No normal earner can afford the ongoing price increases, especially in the weekly menu.

Coffee cup just a little bigger than an espresso and almost 4 euros. The pancake with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce is completely firm, almost cold and tastes like the package has been open for 4 weeks. When complained, they even admitted that it was a warm, ready-made product. Wouldn't be a problem if it was freshly and properly made and for a decent price, but for over 9 euros???? There should be something else on the table...

Just ordered something to pick up 1x Jäger Schnitzel which, strangely enough, wasn't breaded. When asked, they said our schnitzels weren't breaded... the GAMBAS were small shrimps in oil, the cheese spaetzle were completely ok. The salad side dishes tasted best, unfortunately very disappointed once and not again although the food was still nice and warm it was unfortunately not edible. Way too expensive !

New prices are grossly exaggerated and bear no relation to the performance. I'd rather go to Heidelberg and eat in a much nicer atmosphere for the same money!

Casual meeting place for a drink or a bite to eat. Good cocktails.

I am satisfied with the quality of the food and also with the service. But the new prices are partly the shocker. Sure, everything becomes more expensive somehow; But honestly, “Argentine rump steak” for €36.30? Without words.

We went there on a Sunday night. Although the service was okay, the quality of the food was nothing near to the prices. It was very weird to see that the Jägerschnitzel came without the panko. The dishes were really blend, not fresh and salads were not washed throughly. There are better places in Heidelberg with far more quality and yet cheaper prices… We went for the first time and don’t think of going there again. Hope the restaurant will take these into account and make things better for the future.

Die neuen Preise schlagen dem Fass den Boden aus. Alles wird teurer, das wissen wir. Aber was hier mittlerweile für einfache Gerichte wie Penne mit Putenstreifen (20€) abgerufen wird, ist schon over the top. Das sind Preise wie in dee Schweiz für Mittelklassegastronomie...

Wir relativ häufig dort, weil alles stimmig ist. Das Personal überaus zuvorkommend und die Speisen konstant gut 👍

Nettes Ambiente und sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter! Toiletten sind sauber. Allerdings merkt man hier auch stark die gestiegen Preise. Kaffee und andere Heißgetränke kommen in Mini-Tassen und haben wahrscheinlich nicht mal 0,2l. Sehr schade und preislich für mich nicht okay. Das Essen ist für den Preis auch eher eine kleine Portion.

Exceptional food! Our server was kind and friendly. Service was a little slow but we weren’t in a hurry. Lovely atmosphere, decorated nicely for Christmas. Mr. Wonderful ordered the pork loin and Käsespätzle. I had a wonderful salad with small potato dumplings, candied walnuts and a scrumptious dressing. Our friend had the Schnitzel. The servings are huge, so shared plates would be ideal.

Gemütlich. Essen ist gut und auch der Service ist freundlich. Alles in allem genau so wie ich es in einem Brauhaus erwarte.

Ich bin mit einem Freund eher zufällig ins Brauhaus geraten. Ich habe mich gewundert, dass dort Pizza angeboten wird. Ich liebe Pizza mit Salami und Pepperoniwurst und habe sie bestellt. Es war die beste, die ich seit Jahren gegessen habe! Teig, Belag und vor allem Geschmack: Sensationell. Zudem ein überaus freundlicher Service-Mitarbeiter. Schade, dass Leimen 1,5 Stunden von meinem Zuhause entfernt ist.

Der Name "Brauhaus" ist in meinen Augen irreführend, da die Atmosphäre leider einer Bahnhofshalle ähnelt. Die Teller waren zwar gespült, aber man konnte die fettigen Schlieren noch erkennen (sowohl am Besteckteller, als auch an beiden Salattellern). Essen war ok, aber unter unserer Erwartung eines soliden Brauhauses. Personal ist sehr jung und unsicher/unerfahren. Für das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis gibt es im Umfeld bessere Alternativen.

Lokal zufällig gefunden,bin im Urlaub. Hatte den Schwabentopf. Das Essen ist jeden Cent wert. Sehr aufmerksamer Service. Sonderwünsche sind kein Problem. Wenn ich hier wohnen würde.... gerne wieder 😀

Gutes Restaurant mit schönem Biergarten. Bedienungen freundlich. Geschäftsführer unaufmerksam, arrogant und unfreundlich. Speisekarte könnte abwechslungsreicher sein und sich mehr den Jahreszeiten anpassen. Es gibt bayrische Bier aber keine Bayrischen Spezialitäten dazu.

Wie immer sehr zufrieden Essen super lecker, Cocktails jeder Art und die Bedienung ein Traum. Es war wirklich voll, aber man hatte das Gefühl es wird sich um uns gekümmert. War ein toller Abend mit den Mädels. Wieder einmal nichts zu meckern.

Sehr leckeres Essen der außenbereich ist sehr schön zum Marktplatz rein und bietet somit ein schönes Ambiente. Die Servicekräfte sind super und geben Wünsche beim Essen auch direkt weiter welche dann auch umgesetzt werden.

Ich hatte hier Zander mit Ratatouille und Salzkartoffeln. Der Zander sehr dünn ,leider nicht knusprig und ohne Geschmack! Das Ratatouille ebenso fade, Kartoffeln waren gut. Preislich wäre es in Ordnung wenn es den richtig geschmeckt hätte. Service war Freundlich und aufmerksam.

Gourmet Frühstück leider ohne einen Saft oder Prosecco. Die Garnitur hat etwas Luft nach oben. Die Metallplatte sieht nicht sehr einladend aus und der Lollo Rosso macht nicht wirklich eine gute Figur darauf. Eine frische Garnitur die man auch essen kann und eine schönere Anrichtplatte würde dem ganzen direkt einen ganz anderen touch geben. Ansonsten alles ok

Ich gebe die zwei Sterne nur für die freundliche Bedingung für das Pilzragout mit Spätzle und Käse überbacken das gut war. Die Schweinelende schmeckt langweilig, sie hätten mehr würze vertragen. Der Tisch wurde für vier Leute reserviert,scheins für vier schlanke Personen. Ich saß gedrückt an dem Tisch und musste aufpassen, daß ich die Person die etwas unter mir saß nicht den Kopf berühre. Das nächste Weihnachts essen, wird entweder wieder daheim oder in einem anderen Restaurant gefeiert.

Angenehmes Lokal im Stile eines Brauhauses. Viele Aussensitzmöglichkeiten an einem ruhigen Marktplatz. Haben mit einer kleinen Gruppe 2 x dort gegessen und alles war zu unserer Zufriedenheit. An beiden Tagen sehr engagiertes und freundliches Personal. Gerne wieder.

Hallo ihr Lieben, da ich relativ neu bin hier in Leimen bin ich in den letzten 4 Wochen 3x im Leimener Brauhaus zum Abendessen eingekehrt. Das Lokal reklamiert für sich eine gutbürgerliche Küche, sollte mir also entgegenkommen. Die Speisekarte ist breit aufgestellt und umfasst u.a. auch Tapas! Ich habe mir (bzw. mein Schwager) bisher die eher "deutschen" Gerichte ausgewählt (Tagliatelle Carbonara), Pizza Vegetaria und Wurstsalat + Pommes etc. .... Alles in guter Qualität und überzeugendem Geschmack (falls Convinience-Food darunter: alles bestens ausgewählt!). Salate waren ebenfalls (mir/uns) seehr angenehm! Insbesondere den Schweinekrustenbraten kann ich sehr empfehlen: echt knusprig! Der Service war stets sehr freundlich, aufmerksam, agil und dem Gast zugewandt! Das Leimener Brauhaus Ist ab sofort mein neues Stammlokal! ;) LG Ernest

Typisch Duits Brauhaus met bijbehorende kaart en biertjes. Hier lekkere schnitzel gegeten met patat en een heerlijke salade. Mijn kinderen hadden een worst met gebakken aardappelen.. de worst leek meer op een frikandel dan een curryworst, viel een beetje tegen. Zelf een heerlijke Paulaner Weizen van de tap gehad.. en ook een met bananen smaak! Bediening was erg vriendelijk ondanks de enorme drukte.

Leider war die Bedienung extrem unfreundlich, nachdem ich sie darauf hinwies, dass der Teller auf dem meine Pizza lag, total kaputt war. Sie nahm den Teller, ohne irgendein Wort der Entschuldigung, rauschte ab und kam mit der Pizza auf einem ordentlichen Teller zurück und sagte schnippisch: "Na! Ist jetzt alles in Ordnung!" Als ich ihr mitteilte, dass ich eigentlich eine Entschuldigung erwartet hätte, beugte sie sich tief über den Tisch und schrie ein gehässiges Entschuldigung. Bei der Bezahlung hielt sie dann noch die Hand für ein etwaiges Trinkgeld hin: sehr dreist.

This is a decent sized place right on the main square. outdoor seating was available, but the day we were there it was Sunday evening and there was some spring fest going on so no tables were free so we ate inside. The menu had quite a few items available. They had a good selection of beers. They didn’t seem to have enough servers (common everywhere now) and the service was a bit slow, but it was worth it when the food arrived. We ended up eating here both nights we stayed in town since almost every other restaurant was closed on Monday. the food was good and not too expensive. Portions were reasonable.

Sehr froh das Brauhaus gefunden zu haben 😊. Die Speisekarte ist sehr vielfältig.👍 Wir haben ein paar Tapas gegessen, die geschmacklich sehr gut waren, plus den leckeren Rotwein.🥰 Ein schöner Abend in netter Atmosphäre, gute Musik, sehr nettes Personal. 👍 Es gibt auch Aussengastro zum Hof hin. Toiletten extrem sauber.

We hebben ruim een uur op ons eten moeten wachten. 6 volwassenen en 1 peuter. Ons zoontje was het aardig dat geworden. Eten was bovendien wel meer dan prima! Helaas geen mogelijkheid om kind te verschonen, ik heb staand zijn poep luier moeten verschonen.

Schneller Service aber das Essen war nicht überzeugend. Die Tomaten Sauce war gefühlt aus der Dose und nicht passend zum Fisch.

Der positivste Punkt vorneweg: das Personal. Super freundlich, engagiert, fröhlich, fix. Und es wurde sehr gut auf die Corna-Maßnahmen geachtet. Zwangsweise Händedesinfektion beim Reinkommen, das Personal trägt Maske, die Speisekarten wurden jedes Mal desinfiziert. Klasse! Wer so engagiert ist, der hat es verdient, dass ihn die Krise nicht die Existenz kostet. Wir hatten drei Essen, einer von uns war komplett zufrieden, zweimal gab es Durchschnitt und sehr gutes Essen auf einem Teller. Die Bratkartoffeln waren jeweils zu laff, wenig kross, eher mehlig. Schweinesteak und Rumpsteak waren klasse zubereitet, das Rumpsteak erste Sahne, medium wie es sein muss, saftig, wirklich gut. Hähnchen hingegen furztrocken und fast gummiartig. Merkwürdig, wie man auf einem Teller zwei solche Qualitäten abliefern kann, das war ja vermutlich der gleiche Koch. Ambiente ist eher eine Sportkneipe als klassische Brauhausatmosphäre. Enttäuschend die Bierkarte. Wenn "Leimener Brauhaus" draufsteht, dann erwarte ich nicht Jever, Krombacher und Co. , sondern Leimener oder Heidelberger Biere. Anyway: natürlich war das jetzt auch Kritik, aber es ist kein schlechter Laden. Ich hatte lediglich mehr erwartet. Und siehe Punkt 1: allein fürs Personal würde ich wieder hingehen, würde ich hier wohnen. Die haben es definitiv verdient!
