It was a very nice and successful evening.

I had dinner here with business partners and it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The restaurant was completely booked, yet the service was always on top of things. There was plenty of staff, very attentive, friendly, and well-organized – we never had to wait or ask for anything. The food, especially the fondue, was absolutely delicious and of the highest quality. Add to that the cozy, rustic atmosphere – perfect for a relaxed business lunch. Highly recommended, I'll definitely be back.

We dined at Baracca Swiss for a family meal. A very authentic location. The service was absolutely top-notch. Very attentive and relaxed, making you feel like you're dining with friends. The food was not only delicious but also generously portioned, as you could always ask for seconds. The chili cheese fondue is highly recommended. The only point of criticism: although it would require a little extra effort, I would have liked the option to choose the vegetable side dish. There was a mixed platter, and some of the vegetables were unpalatable. When we asked if we could perhaps have just broccoli, we were told, after checking with the kitchen, that this wasn't possible and that it was only available as a mixed dish. Unfortunately, the uneaten vegetables would then have to be thrown away. Otherwise, everything was excellent, and we look forward to our next visit.

A wonderfully pleasant stay. Extremely nice, exceptionally attentive, and friendly service. The food is delicious and of very high quality. We had the meat fondue and the cheese fondue. Both were plentiful, and you can also order extra vegetables, bread, or dips. The appetizers and desserts were also extremely tasty. A thoroughly enjoyable stay in a charming, rustic location.

We'd love to come back again. The service was excellent, and the food and drinks were very good. (Almost) nothing was left to be desired. It would be great if it were possible to share a fondue between two people, as the cheese fondue is quite substantial. However, I must admit that we didn't actually ask about it.

We dined at Baracca today and had the set menu with the wild herb fondue. Each course was beautifully presented. The intervals between courses were perfectly timed. The lodge has a wonderfully cozy atmosphere; the fireplace provides a pleasant warmth, and even though all the tables were occupied, the noise level was very comfortable. The absolute highlight of the evening, however, was the service: extremely friendly, charming, and highly professional. You immediately feel welcome and exceptionally well cared for. We even had something to celebrate, which the fantastic service made the evening perfect! A truly wonderful evening!

We celebrated our wedding at Baracca Swiss last Saturday, and what can we say? This venue is simply unique. The service, the ambiance, and the food are all exceptional. We were a party of twelve. What can we say? Service: absolutely top-notch. The staff was constantly attentive, making sure our glasses were full and that we didn't need any side dishes, bread, etc., to accompany our meals. From the initial greeting to the final farewell, despite the evening's busy schedule, everyone had a smile on their face. Food: We opted for the four-course meal. There was always plenty of food and drink available. In the end, everyone was full, satisfied, and went home happy. The gin ran out during the evening – a shame, but these things happen. Despite the room being full, the noise level was perfectly acceptable, which surprised us a bit. It feels like there's more and more advertising and branding these days. That's always bothered me at Palazzo. I'm afraid it'll get that bad at your place too. Otherwise, it was good. Perhaps the service could be a bit more personalized. You have to order quite quickly and then everything is placed directly on the table. The wine could easily arrive a little later, after the aperitif has been finished. That's just one example.

Everything was great on-site, but I tried to contact support with some questions, which unfortunately I couldn't do on Saturday. Neither by email nor by phone. Therefore, only 4 stars.

The wooden cabin had a lovely atmosphere. We booked the "Fässli" (little barrel) and loved it. It offered privacy with amenities like a small speaker for listening to your own music and a bell to call staff. The staff were very friendly. The classic cheese fondue was delicious. All in all, a wonderful evening.

We attended the **MERITO After-Work Business Meeting** at the venue in Leimen and were completely satisfied. The **service** was exceptionally attentive and professional. The **fondue** was of the highest quality and tasted superb. Food and drinks arrived **promptly and without delay**, and everything ran absolutely smoothly. The **atmosphere** was pleasantly warm, not too loud, and overall very harmonious – perfect for a networking event. We were at the Romantik-Fässli on March 1, 2025, and were more than thrilled. From the reception to the explanation of the process, the food, the service, and the staff, everything was excellent. Therefore, we can't rate the restaurant. But one thing is certain: if the Romantik-Fässli is bookable again, we will be back.

Invitation to Baracca Swiss last Sunday / 5 people: *Ambiance:* 3 stars A nicely and comfortably furnished cabin with rustic tables and chairs and a fireplace; some chairs even had furs on them. As the evening progressed, with the restaurant full, it became very loud and very hot. Unfortunately, there's a flat-screen TV mounted directly in my line of sight, showing football mixed with commercials (a no-go for me in this kind of setting). Toilets okay. *Value for money:* 0 ​​stars €70 for a 3-course meal (per person, of course!) Starter: Lamb's lettuce (quite tasty, but a small portion) Snack board (very tasty, but also a small portion) Fondue: Cheese fondue (2x) Cheese with truffle Broth/meat fondue (2x) Additionally for 5 people: 1 small plate of mixed meat (enough for 2 people max) 1 bag of potatoes (enough) 1 basket of bread (enough) 3 small mini-jars with various dips for the meat (enough for 2 people max) 3 small mini-jars with 3 gherkins, 1.5 ears of corn, and 3 pearl onions (enough for 2 people max) (Sufficient for 2 people) A small plate of vegetables (in my opinion, sufficient for 1 person) Dessert: Nicely presented and ample on a small board. Unfortunately, only 4 small glasses of sorbet for 5 people. Drinks: Normal value for money Service: Okay A bit hectic as the number of guests increased, but always friendly. Conclusion: NOT recommended - never again! UPDATE ON THE OWNER'S REPLY: The vegetables we immediately ordered arrived only about 30 minutes later after we asked (!). While I understand your point about food waste, the "starter package" for 5 people was simply far too little. For that price, I simply don't want to be nibbling on an empty fondue fork or filling up on potatoes and bread.

Starter: Nothing special, a bland and unappetizing field salad. Main course: The fondue was okay, the vegetables (pickled cucumbers and onions from a jar, and the other vegetables were overcooked), and the meat fondue broth was bland. We basically just ate bread and potatoes. The only good thing was the dips. Dessert: For three people, one scoop of ice cream, a mini chocolate soufflé, and a mini cake each. Approximately €80 per person, excluding wine and a bottle of water. The price-performance ratio is completely off. I can't understand the good reviews at all. A total disappointment. You don't need a chef to put together this menu.

There were four of us there, but we were sadly disappointed: The food was unfortunately not worth the excessive price. 👎 The service was super friendly, albeit a bit slow and at times forgetful. The ambiance was nice, but it was unbearably warm, and unfortunately, the back of the restaurant smelled of feces. We suspect it was coming in through the open windows, but it wasn't enjoyable. We pointed this out to the waitress, who confirmed it but also seemed perplexed. The appetizers and dessert were good. The main courses (meat fondue & vegetables) were unfortunately not worth the completely inflated price. We ended up paying €100 per person (€400 total for four people), which was disappointingly not worth the meal. You can definitely get better food for the same money in Heidelberg and the surrounding area. The circumstances with the disgusting smell in the restaurant unfortunately made it even worse.

What can I say? The visit was a truly lovely and delicious evening. We all loved it, and yes, it was warm, and yes, the noise level wasn't like a library, but I can't understand the negative reviews. The food was delicious, more than plentiful, and they made it clear right from the start that no one would go home hungry. They gave seconds of everything if needed, and free of charge. The five of us had three different fondues, so we had a nice, varied selection. The bread was super fresh, and the potatoes were delicious. The waiters were all super friendly, very attentive, and accommodating. We'd love to come back next season 👍.

It was once again very good 👍 highly recommended. We had a very nice evening as a group of 8.

We had a very nice, sociable evening with friends. The atmosphere is right. The fact that the “hut” is already very big doesn’t detract from the good impression. The staff is very friendly and there is nothing to complain about here either. But: The main thing, the food and especially the cheese fondue is, with all due respect, inferior and not really good in terms of taste. Apparently cheese granules (you might call it a ready-made mix) are used here, the particles of which do not completely dissolve and can therefore be felt in the mouth with every bite. No homogeneous, creamy mass of fresh cheese, as is the case when the fondue is originally made. That really disappointed me personally. Cheese fondue is expensive because cheese is expensive; the types usually used for an original cheese fondue, especially. The price is absolutely right for a good, real cheese fondue. But not for what is then served. The wine selection is not great but good. Overall, a very nice, fun evening for our group, although the quality of the fondue was somewhat disappointing.

Nice atmosphere, but that’s about it. Right at the beginning you are told that if there are 4 people (like we were) you can choose 2 fondues. This means you have to agree with your companion, because not everyone gets their own desired fondue in terms of taste. Despite the 2 fondues, each person pays the full price, including children. The taste of the classic cheese fondue was good, but the bread with it was not fresh, as was the baguette with the small starter salad. Dessert is also served on 2 boards for 4 people and halved. Definitely not worth the money (€320 for 4 people WITHOUT wine accompaniment) Service seemed overwhelmed. No recommendation!

The only good thing about our dinner was the friendly service. We had to share the meat fondue between two people because the table was too small, but I don't think that was the reason. The bread was old and the vegetables served with the fondue were quite overcooked and bland. The dessert was quite tasty, it's just a shame that everything is served on a large plate, the ice cream has to be shared between two/three people. For the price you pay there, it's the last thing you expect.

“Leave all the burdens of everyday life behind you” is what it says in the foreword to the Baracca Swiss Spiis and Drinks menu. That's exactly how it felt for us when we sat at our table and looked out over the restaurant. As a starter there was the Schwyzer Plättli and Nüsslisalat. For the main course we had two fondues, namely the traditional cheese fondue and the "Chinoise" fondue. The dessert plate was then served as dessert. My partner also chose “the wine tour, matched to the menu”. From start to finish we not only felt very comfortable there, but EVERYTHING also tasted great. The service staff were also very attentive. With such an atmosphere we are happy to spend more. Thank you for a great evening on our anniversary! We would love to come back next year.

Mass processing, very loud and hectic atmosphere, totally overpriced!

Service was bad, some things were forgotten, starter was nothing special and bland, bread was dry, side dish 1.5 gherkins, 1 mini corn cob, 4 silver onions, a few potatoes. Cheese fondue was ok, dessert was like that. Bottle of water 0.7l for 8 euros is violent. Bartender recklessly throws empty bottles on top of each other every few minutes which is very annoying and loud. Children (9 years old) pay the full price. The four of us paid over 300 euros, but still gave a good tip and didn't even get a thank you, have a nice day or even a goodbye. Absolute no go.

After seeing pictures of this event many times, I really wanted to go this year. Five of us visited on a Saturday evening. Each of us would have liked to have chosen a different cheese fondue, but this was not possible. So we had to choose two types of cheese. Unfortunately, the fondue tasted very strongly of alcohol, so you couldn't taste any of the cheese. There was also bread, potatoes and some pickled vegetables. The starter and dessert were delicious. Conclusion: Very nice ambience, courteous service, but unfortunately the food is not worth 70 euros or more (I expected much more here and was disappointed).

All in all the food was ok. The starter platter was very tasty, the salad was very bland. The cheese fondue was tasty, the meat fondue was ok, but nothing special. The drinks are very expensive, especially the wine. The hut is visually appealing, but very loud and stuffy (despite open windows). All in all, the stay was nice, but we wouldn't go there again for the money and the quality. But you can eat much better in the area.

Very disappointing! Price performance a 4 or 5+... Can't understand the very good reviews - perhaps the requirements in Heidelberg are very low... Eat: The fondue is "ok", but completely excessive for €60-70. You get a few potatoes and bread (second helpings cost extra) for dipping. See picture, that was the amount of bread for 4 people - I would estimate potatoes to be about 3 fist sized per person. The cheese is “ok” but it’s no enlightenment either. Portion size was sufficient but far from "large". Service: The service was nice. Unfortunately, they neglected to clear up and start with dessert. When we asked about it, we were told that part of the group had said we wanted to wait - which wasn't true. When paying (8 people) we were told that it was very difficult to separate the bill and that we should just pay together - we could separate it among ourselves. I worked in the catering industry for over 8 years, separating bills is really a) not a big deal and b) absolute standard - if that's too much for you, you should reconsider your career choice. Ambiance: It looks nice - but that's it.

I only give a few stars overall because after today's experience and paying the exorbitant bill, the good impression of the ambience, food and service is immediately spoiled. Ultimately, it is assumed that regardless of what you as a customer want (some eat less, others want to share a menu, etc.), you always have to pay for an entire menu per person. This is not communicated in advance, nor is it noted in the menu that every guest is obliged!!! a menu to pay! Last year we were 4 adults and 3 children, ordered 2 menus, also ordered cheese and paid for it, it worked out exactly as desired. But this time it was an extremely unpleasant experience, so please be careful!

One starter (Schwyzer Plättli) good and plentiful, one (fresh “Nüsslisalat”) extremely poor in every respect, the main course (cheese fondue – traditional) mainly Riesling-Sour, otherwise flat in taste, the desserts simple (fresh “Nüsslisalat”) or varying in quality (Swiss Valrhona chocolate). The wines have a flat taste and go well with the food. The drinks overall are expensive. The furnishings were literally slanted and wobbly, the view went straight to a flat screen with constantly repeating advertisements. The service was quick and attentive. Conclusion: Advertising while eating is an absolute no-go. The food itself was very average. The price is not justified. The staff alone cannot compensate for the deficiencies. No, I don't have to go there anymore.

Mixed impression... Food was very tasty and of good quality, but with the cheese fondue too much alcohol in the cheese spoiled the taste. Service was extremely nice and hardworking 👍. The ambience is nice, but way too loud (train station hall), insulation would be absolutely necessary! Overall, it's a bit overpriced for what's on offer, but with some crunch it's just acceptable. But definitely worth a visit once, probably not a second time.

We were there for the second time and were again very satisfied. We had the classic fondue twice and the one with herbs twice. Both very tasty. The starter has been reduced a bit compared to last year, which means a deduction from the B grade :) The dessert was very tasty. Very cozy location with fantastic fondues! The atmosphere is like in a real alpine hut, the staff is very friendly and quick, so you feel very comfortable. Käsefondue war nicht ganz unser Geschmack, aber schön angerichtet. Vorspeisen super, die Desserts sahen schon aus wie industrielle Massenware. Wofür das Personal nichts kann, sind Gäste, die nix besseres zu tun haben, als auf der Toilette auf Sitz und Boden zu pinkeln. Aber man könnte auch mal zwischendurch Handtücher und Papier nachfüllen und nicht nur sagen, man meldet es weiter und dann tut sich nichts.

Wir waren gestern Abend zu Besuch im Baracca Swiss (4 Personen). Ein rundum gelungenes Konzept und ein sehr schöner Abend. Service sehr zuvorkommend und extrem freundlich. Alle Wünsche wurden berücksichtigt und die Bestellung gestaltete sich als sehr flexibel. Das Käsefondue (klassisch) war hervorragend. Alles war eingebettet in ein 3 Gänge Menü, was absolut stimmig war. Zu empfehlen ist der Wein „Ganz in weiß“. Auch dieser passte super zum kompletten Essen.
