They serve a very tasty Aperol here! The schnitzel was also very tasty. The house recommendation was the spare ribs, so we ordered them. Unfortunately, we can't pass on this recommendation. They were very dry, not as tasty as you'd expect from such tender spare ribs.

A review must be constructive and not destructive for this I can only say without going into the details of this evening, the service and the cuisine are absolutely not up to the prices of this restaurant that could only be justified with excellent service, excellent cuisine and at least with a cloth napkin, because you are not competitive,

The food was very good for the quantities processed here. Handkäs top, farmer's schnitzel top, fries top. Unfortunately, service wasn't quite as attentive. We would have definitely drank more here if we had taken a little more care. The ambience is nice but the seating is very dense. I'd love to come back.

It's really nice to sit here. Unfortunately, the food isn't that special and it's expensive. Meatloaf with fried potatoes and fried egg just under €18. If it were at least particularly good, OK, but like that... no, thanks.

To recommend. Top service. Very good food If you want a good restaurant in Frankfurt this is the right place. We'll see each other again soon. I look forward to my next visit with you. Thank you again for this enchanting evening.

Fast service, large yet inviting dining room. Everything was super clean.

Neat, you can visit. No particular highlights or lowlights.

Staff super friendly, attentive and quick. Restaurant cozy and nice atmosphere. However, the food was a disappointment. If a schnitzel is on the table after just 5 minutes, then you know that it wasn't freshly made but was kept warm somehow. And that's how it tasted. The fried potatoes were ok, but extremely greasy and only lukewarm. The Kaiserschmarrn was more of a terribly dry cake that was torn apart. And unfortunately nothing was caramelized. Unfortunately the worst I've ever eaten. It was all edible but definitely not worth the price. We were only there because of a voucher but we definitely won't be coming back.

The ambience of the restaurant is in an appealing atmosphere. Until now, thank you very much for the good service! The food ordered. The noodles were lukewarm and a complete disappointment in terms of taste. The 2 schnitzels tasted like old fat and were still babbling for hours afterwards, which is actually like an old chip shop...! Everything used to be right at the old location in downtown Frankfurt; the place was always packed, which actually said it all. No wonder there were hardly any guests in the restaurant, with such quality. The price-performance ratio is in no way right for such greasy food, you can tell that the food is prepared quickly in a deep fryer and microwave, we certainly wouldn't eat here again, so we lost a long-standing guest

Great experience! I went to this restaurant and was really satisfied. The food was delicious, made with fresh, flavorful ingredients. Each dish was a pleasure for the palate. The real icing on the cake was the staff: extremely welcoming, kind and helpful. They made us feel at home, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I will definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality dining experience!

Sunflower oil galore everywhere, and from the open kitchen you can glimpse scruffy staff and out-of-place music, a place of very modest quality but which brings very high bills, simply to be avoided

This Restaurant offers a variety of steaks, fish, burger or vegetarian cuisine. Local as well as international. Try the sweet potatos with truffle Mayonnaise or let's say it's a must try!

In my opinion, the food is very expensive and the price/performance ratio does not match at all. The quality of the food is available in other places at a definitely fairer price. The service is good and the staff is really courteous.

Very tasty food and super friendly service

As we had dinner at the time of exhibition at Frankfurt messe, it was busy. We arrived there about 6:20 pm and no reservation. But we had table with other guests which no reservation too. The service & foods ok. We ordered pork knuckle & smoke salmon.

I couldn't make a reservation at any of the restaurants I usually visit, so my companion searched the internet and found it, so I decided to visit for the first time. It takes about 10 minutes on foot from the Messe venue. It's a very stylish German restaurant, the staff was really nice and the food was delicious. I had to look into it to find such a good restaurant near the venue. I had a great time, so I will definitely put it on my list of good restaurants in Frankfurt and will definitely visit again next time.

Unfriendly tips, "compulsory" tips!!! I had dinner with my friends. After we all ordered staple food, I ordered a large glass of beer with one of our friends. We decided to share it, and the other friends ordered separate drinks. We asked the staff for an more cup, and the staff's impatient and poor service attitude made us feel very uncomfortable!!! The most outrageous thing is that at the last check-out, the swipe was forced to collect tips. The pos machine settlement language was not English, and I did not inform us of the content of the options. We paid 10% of the tip without knowing it. We understand and respect the culture of tipping very well, but we will receive at least 10% of the tip and the service attitude is not so friendly, which makes people feel very uncomfortable.

Love the ambience and the food is good. The trotters is the best, crispy on the outside but very juicy and tender inside! Schnitzel is a little tough. The rest are fine. We ordered to share and service is great.

The food here is delicious, the service is incredibly welcoming, and our waitress Lara was outstanding, making our night truly enjoyable. Absolutely perfect!

The sweet potato fries for €12.5 were mushy. The duck breast with dumplings didn't even have any sauce. The salmon in the salmon gnocchi was very small and dry. The Kaiserschmarrn had nothing to do with Kaiserschmarrn. The prices are quite high, but the quality was not adequate. The ambience and service were good, but that's not as important in a restaurant as the food. Edit: In response to the owner's answer, I'm reducing the rating to one star, as that also falls into the service category. What's very amusing is that I'm being accused of not being able to read the card, but apparently the owner can't read my review properly. 1. It is unusual for the sauce to be explicitly mentioned in dumpling dishes. Because it's just normal that she's there. What world do you live in where dumplings don't come with sauce? Check out menus from established restaurants! 2. I didn't expect salmon steak. I criticized that the salmon in the "Salmon Gnocchi" dish (I hope you know your own menu) was dry. So are you saying that the only way you can expect the salmon to be juicy is if you have a salmon steak? Interesting. Apparently they not only can't cook, they also can't handle criticism.

We ate our heart and soul today and were really very satisfied. The schnitzel with green sauce was extremely tasty and definitely recommended. The service was particularly warm and attentive, which made the visit very pleasant. The atmosphere is cozy and you immediately feel at home. We'd love to come back.

The service is really good! Only the quality of the food is at best a grade of C-. We expected a little more with 4.5 stars.

I was here for the first time. Was surprised at the quality of the food. Very courteous service despite the restaurant being full.

Without body and soul: we were in the new location for the first time today and were very disappointed. The veal schnitzel had the consistency and taste of a frozen schnitzel. We had our burger returned because it was bloody inside instead of welldone. In this respect, I find the €30 for the schnitzel to be outrageous. Our summary: just another boring and loveless tourist restaurant in Frankfurt that you visit once and then leave it alone.

Thank you for a wonderful evening! We ate in the restaurant with around 50 people and everyone was happy! I really liked the food, service and ambience. Especially with large groups, it often happens that some of their food gets cold. This was not the case here! Gladly again.

The atmosphere is cool, nice place. The food was a disaster, the lamb's lettuce came without dressing or with a kind of mayonnaise that tasted terribly sour... The salad couldn't be eaten. We have never seen white spots in the dumplings either. The service staff was nice but actually more busy talking about the guests/the business or whatever… Very unprofessional. We found the stay very unpleasant and regret that we cannot give better feedback.

Wow...the food... The children's schnitzel was very thin and tasteless with cold fries... (but they had a nice shape) The beef roulade with dumplings and red cabbage... Oh dear... the roulade was still frozen inside!!! The second warmed meal was halved in size...but warm...but I don't know of any dumplings that are white on the inside... Unfortunately not recommended!!

When I read some recent reviews, I actually have to wonder if the authors were at the same restaurant as me. Wherever people work, mistakes happen. Consequently, wherever many people meet, e.g. in a restaurant that feels (almost) full every day, things are bound to go wrong without any single person involved being able to do anything about it. Whether I therefore have to vent my anger by spouting off some half-true review instead of clarifying the matter discreetly with the staff - I don't think so, but that depends on the character of the author in question. The absolute *crowning* of this premier class of reviews are complaints about the fact that the restaurant doesn't close until 10 p.m. & the malicious waiters claim that the kitchen is closed as early as 9:30 p.m. Clean the kitchen? Doesn't matter! Get off work on time? Doesn't matter! Does the staff have a family at home!? DOESN'T MATTER! I HAVE TO order a knuckle at 9:45 p.m., which *says on the menu that it takes AT LEAST 30 minutes* & then complain if I don't get this knuckle. As for me: Consistently positive experiences, no matter what day & no matter what time. Without exception, all employees and other guests are *ALWAYS* nice and friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed. Also by the way: The food is GREAT, as far as I know the chef regularly makes his own balsamic vinegar, which tastes 1:1 like a real ODP balsamic. So if you want to try “the original” without paying 100 euros for a mini bottle in a specialty store OR traveling to Modena, you should *come right here and order a salad with balsamic dressing!* P.s.: In addition to the salad, I recommend both the potato soup and the tartare!^-^

Nice restaurant, staff is also very nice but the food even the food for children was terrible so even the fries were probably leftovers from someone else, I ordered a bowl which tasted like nothing, everything from the glass, not a good dressing anymore . so never again.

I arrived alone at 16:30 and got assigned a table next to another group. The staff said the rest of the restaurant was reserved. I ordered a schnitzel and a beer which arrived within a very short time. The food was really good however while eating the potatoes I found a long hair. I called the waiter who seemed annoyed to bring this to his attention and he apologized and changed the plate immediately into a new one which I appreciated. The ambience is nice but if you go alone you don’t get much attention. Disappointed because the food is nice but inconveniences such as shouldn’t happen. Hospitality could be warmer.

Rarely have I been able to enjoy such a good overall result in a restaurant: the food was excellent, the service was incredibly friendly and accommodating and the shop itself is simply impressive. Super nice atmosphere! Gladly again :)

Went there for lunch today. We had small mixed salads, one Viennese schnitzel with homemade spaetzle and champion cream sauce, as well as the pork medallions. It was very tasty, thank you. The service was nice and extra requests were no problem ;-).

We had dinner with 4 people at Leib & Seele on New Year's Eve. We had reserved a 3-course menu. As a starter we had prawns, as a main course we had beef fillet and turbot and as a dessert we had red wine pears. We all agreed that everything tasted great. The service was very attentive and friendly. It was our first time in this restaurant and not the last time. Thank you for the nice New Year's Eve.

DO NOT GO HERE, 148 EURO FOR THE WORST DINNER! We made a reservation at this restaurant a week before New Year’s Eve for drinks only, no food. When we arrived, we asked the waiter about our reservation, but she looked confused and clearly had no idea about it. It was obvious they didn’t even write it down. Instead of apologizing, they just told us to sit at any free table. We ordered drinks, but soon after, the waiter came back and told us the kitchen was closing at 10 PM. This was never mentioned before. We agreed to get some appetizers, but they said they were out of almost everything. We had to take what they had, we took just appetizer, and it was HORRIBLE—completely uneatable. We couldn’t even finish it. Then, they told us they were closing at 11 PM, even though we were told on the phone they would stay open past midnight for New Year’s. This was a complete lie and very unprofessional. The worst part was the bill: 148 euros for four appetizers and two drinks! The food was terrible, the service was bad, and the price was shocking. It’s shameful that they charge so much for such a bad experience. This was the worst dining experience we’ve ever had. Don’t waste your time or money here!

Very chic atmosphere and even with larger groups you can sit at a table or a long table. New staff. Good food, but the prices are already high. An Aperol for €9.50 is a lot and the dishes are quickly priced at €25 to €35 per dish. But we had a cozy, pleasant evening and a nice Christmas party. The fries and sweet potato fries are particularly recommended. My burger was quite good, but not the best either. Frankfurter Schnitzel was good, a little bit of green sauce...

Walked in at 9:10pm and was told by their supervisor, Mr Francisco that kitchen was closed (website states 10pm kitchen closure time and restaurant open till 11pm). They should update their kitchen closure time accurately and not make patrons waste their trip down to their restaurant.

A good selection of beers and the food is good. Previously I tried the pork knuckle and the portion is huge. Today I had the Frankfurt schnitzle. Nice!!!

Great staff, nice vibe, I really want to like this place, but the food is just mediocre. We had 2 appetizers and 2 burgers with sides, they were all not great. The burger breads were dry, medium rare patty was cooked through, the vegetarian patty was basically a spread, and the fries tasted like they've been fried several times. For this quality, it's really expensive. Maybe if you order the traditional German dishes there it would be better.

Unfortunately, due to the lack of seats, we were seated at the bar, which is not suitable for eating. After 30 minutes, our backs hurt and it was difficult to eat because we were sitting too low. The food was very poor, considering it was a full restaurant and the prices were very expensive. We expected a decent portion, but what we got was fast food. The schnitzel looks like it was bought, ground inside, and the regional beer is a plus. Staff insulted after rejecting a tip at the payment terminal. It was hard to pay at all because there were so many people to serve and only one waiter.

It was ok, food was good but a little pricey. The menu was not that great, you did not have something special to choose, you didn’t have many options. As I observed, in Germany and Austria there is a lot of schnitzel in restaurants😂😂

This restaurant is top notch! The food is delightful and the service is perfect. Any American that says something about the service not being great, may not truly understand German dining culture. It is considered normal to wave politely at your waiter when you need them. I ate at a place the other day where the waiter never came over to see me after bringing me my food, and that was fine! When I left I left 25€ on the table which well covered my food and tip and left. Also dining is an even here. There is no rush. I’ve spent no less than an hour and a half dining by myself while here in Frankfurt.

Only 2 stars because of the service: too slow from the beginning to the end. I saw some people leaving because nobody was coming collecting orders. We waited for long too. We ordered a strudel as dessert. After 30 minutes we claimed it and the waiter replied that maybe it was brought to someone else. We were tired of waiting and we cancel it and left the restaurant.

service and atmosphere was really nice but the food. it was so underwhelming. snitzel had a weird taste and really hard to cut and chew, bolognese linguine tasted like it was a bad canned sauce with mediocre pasta. apfelstrudel was too sweet, it had no flavor it was just sugar. the price and the food quality was not matching.

It's best not to go to this restaurant if you have an allergy. That makes you an unwanted guest for whom the chef no longer wants to cook. The waitress mixed up some of our order and got stroppy. The food was basically ok. But never order a rump steak with rosemary potatoes and lava salt. That was a DESASTER!!! Fries and burgers were good. The deep-fried schnitzel was also good.

Good German kitchen. Excellent service

We had fried meatloaf with fried potatoes and a fried egg and a side salad. Unfortunately the dressing was very watery and had hardly any taste. The fried potatoes were neither properly seasoned nor, like the meat loaf, properly fried. But the service and the ambience are nice.

My friend from work suggested this place. We loved it. It had a lot of German staples, but it with a modern flair. They wine list was quite nice. The apple strudel was the best part of the meal.

Very bad restaurant. They didn't serve us and actually kicked us out. Shame.

First, the staff was extraordinarily helpful in assisting me to avoid my allergens; they checked on quite a number of the menu items before we settled on something that we were all certain would not cause an allergic reaction. They were not at all put out over having to discuss, quite a number of items and go back to the shaft to check and see if they, intern, contained the attitude to which I am allergic. Second, the staff other than this was very friendly and helpful. Third, the food was very delicious and prepared, absolutely perfectly. The only reason this rating is not a 5 and is a 4 instead is because the restaurant was really really busy and therefore quite noisy. People without reservations kept coming in and crowding around our (and other peoples’) tables asking for a table even when they were told none were available. One group of some 18 or 20 people came in and when they were told there were no tables available, they didn’t leave but crowded around the tables, looking into the Restaurant to see if in fact, there were empty tables.

Am den 21/09/2024 Abend Ein unvergessliches kulinarisches Erlebnis. Jedes Gericht war perfekt, und die Aromen bleiben lange in Erinnerung. Besonders die Orata im Päckchen: Schon der Duft allein verriet, dass hier die mediterrane Küche in perfektem Einklang mit der deutschen Tradition steht. Jeder Bissen war ein wahrer Genuss, der einen auf eine Reise zwischen zwei Kulturen entführt. Der Service war außergewöhnlich – aufmerksam und herzlich. Die Atmosphäre des Restaurants lädt dazu ein, viele Erinnerungen zu schaffen, die man immer wieder aufs Neue erleben möchte. Absolut empfehlenswert für alle, die eine einzigartige Geschmackserfahrung suchen, die man im Leben unbedingt mehrmals genießen sollte.

Die Küche ist perfekt, der Service ausgezeichnet und das Ambiente schlichtweg ideal. Die Gerichte waren nicht nur geschmacklich ein Volltreffer, sondern auch wunderschön angerichtet. Besonders beeindruckend war das gestrige Erlebnis am 21.09.2024 – ein Tag, der mit unvergesslichen Aromen und einer Präsentation, die das Auge ebenso wie den Gaumen erfreut, in Erinnerung bleibt. Jeder Bissen zeugte von höchster Qualität und handwerklichem Können. Ein rundum perfektes kulinarisches Erlebnis, das ich uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen kann.

Terrible service 60min delay for dinner.

Am den 21/09/2024 Abend. Eine kulinarische Erfahrung, die einfach perfekt war. Jedes Gericht war eine Entdeckung unvergesslicher Aromen, die an die authentischen und herzlichen Geschmäcker von Oma's Küche erinnerten. Jeder Bissen fühlte sich an wie eine Reise in die Kindheit, mit einer Perfektion und Präsentation, die ihresgleichen sucht. Der Service war außergewöhnlich: aufmerksam, freundlich und niemals aufdringlich, mit einer Liebe zum Detail, die das Erlebnis noch besonderer macht. Die Atmosphäre des Lokals ist unvergesslich, ein Ort, den man ein Leben lang in Erinnerung behalten wird. Ohne Zweifel für jeden zu empfehlen, der einen besonderen Abend mit hervorragendem Essen und herzlicher Gastfreundschaft erleben möchte.

Quite disappointed in the way the waiter that served me behaved, borderline rood. There was another one (a lady) that seems much nicer, so it might be different fpr you.

When we first sat down, we were the only team on the terrace, and after we ordered, several other groups took their seats. However, our food came out after all the other groups had received their food. There are often comments about racism in the reviews, and unless they are truly racist and intended to act like this, I think they should change their service attitude. Their actions are ultimately a disgrace to their beloved country and the people they love. + I can read English well enough and that is why I ordered in English. And I don’t even need to read the menu to know that something like Schweinshaxe can take a long time. It would be a different matter if our Schweinshaxe came out later than the Schweinshaxe of the other team that came late. We had to wait almost an hour for our Schweinshaxe. I can definitely tell the difference between those two situations. And it wasn’t just the Schweinshaxe that was late. Even the Vienna Schnitzel that was late was served without cranberry jam. I told the staff about this. However, even the cranberry jam wasn’t served right away. So I had to go back and ask for it again. Was it stated on the menu that cranberry jam also takes a long time? I’m not trying to fight you. But I am saying that if some of the staff in your restaurant are acting inappropriately, it is your responsibility to correct them. This is the only reason I'm writing this review.

German cuisine with a large selection, nice atmosphere!

I went to have a meal recently and ordered the pork knuckle the portion is huge and is delicious. But….. very disappointed with the service. Read the reviews it said they provide good service and they can speak English so it will be helpful as i can't read and understand German menu. I wasn't expecting anything extra but my experience is not acceptable. From the moment i entered the restaurant the staff just sat there continue wiping the crockery at the table. When I'm ready to order the waitress asked me to wait and i waited around 10mins before she came to take my order. (there are only 3 table at that point of time) Some staff wasn't doing anything just standing there. There is a table with 7pax came after me got their orders taken immediately. What really pissed me off is my food was served after the 7pax too. The issue here is I arrived first and ordered my food first. I waited almost 30mins to get my meal served. If the dishes needed longer time i don't mind waiting if the staff inform me in advance. But they leave me hanging. While waiting for my food i observed i was mistreated. The table beside me who only speak English was given the same menu and was told to go online to check out their English menu. Why didn't the waitress told me the same when she passed me the menu so i don't have to go thru the hassle google translate the menu. She obviously know and heard me speaking in English. Everyone else came in after me was being greeted with smile and warm welcome except me. Is that a discrimination? When i asked for the bill i also waited another 10-15mins. The waitress was asking me for a tip and i decided not to give for such poor service that I received. Altho the restaurant have great ambient and good food but with such lousy service and staff i don't think i will ever go back again.

Very nice restaurant for very good German cuisine. Food of a high standard, extremely friendly service (high praise!) and a very “modern/urban” atmosphere. Class! Absolute recommendation, gladly again!

It can be easily reached by subway, Bockenheimer Warte/Senckenberganlage stop, and a walk of around 5 minutes. Also easy to reach on foot by tram (Messe/Maritim Hotel). There are many tables and seats outside, also very suitable for a larger number of people. The menu is varied and dishes with chanterelles have just been added. The service was very friendly and attentive.

Automechanika Frankfurt 2024, team wanted local cuisine. The other more "authentic" venue ran out of the pork knuckle, so this was our backup. My 8th year at the expo and some other "authentic" venues are in challenging neighborhoods that look "sus", in NYC vernacular. This restaurant was located in an office park-ish locale, it wasn't the usual, local, red-checkered tablecloth place, but had more of an Applebee's vibe with unfinished wooden tables. Very clean, everyone spoke English, very polite and friendly. We ordered the mainstays, meat platter, sausage platter, and veal schnitzel. Lots of local beer and the apple cider-very vinegary, not sweet. Safe spot for a taste of Frankfurt, closely resembling the "Epcot - Germany" experience. About $250 with tips (yes, tip economy in full force now) for 5 people, pretty fair for a safe Epcot experience.

All I can say is the food, service, etc. was simply excellent. It was my first time there but not my last. Everything was right. Price performance was absolutely appropriate

I have never eaten such bad Kaiserschmarrn. It started with the order, we called and were rudely brushed off by Kelner 2-3 times, until a friendly lady answered and took the order. I was treated exactly the same way on site if the emperor himself made Kaiserschmarrn.

I went alone and wanted to order a sausage. The waiter recommended me a platter and the price is 27 euro on the menu. In addition, I ordered a 0.3L beer and a water, and was charged 47 euro, but I think the menu price adds up to around 35. I think I was charged 12 extra.

We went for the meat Platter for 3! Wow! Pork knuckle with the best crackling. The pork chop was the stand out! Only thing we had to ask for extra was a mushroom sauce. You won't be disappointed or hungry after this!

Very nice restaurant, very good food, everything was great. Very nice waiter. The pork chop with baked potatoes set is perfect for me, very large, you'll definitely be stuffed with it. The second set with fries was also great. The dumplings with onion are amazing. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Service and ambience were good but the veal schnitzel was small and tough and the fried potatoes were barely fried. For a price of €29 this was very disappointing
