Super nice restaurant! The service is super on point! My glass was almost never empty because I was asked at an appropriate time if I wanted anything else without being intrusive! A rarity! The food is super well prepared, very good ingredients, everything is fresh! Really fine! I had salmon linguine! The noodles are perfect for German standards and taste great! Good selection of drinks and other things! Gladly again

Nice restaurant near the exhibition center! Service and reservation worked great. Only my wife wasn't completely happy with her sirloin steak. My schnitzel with extra sauce, however, was great! :-) We would come back…

Good German kitchen. Excellent service

We had fried meatloaf with fried potatoes and a fried egg and a side salad. Unfortunately the dressing was very watery and had hardly any taste. The fried potatoes were neither properly seasoned nor, like the meat loaf, properly fried. But the service and the ambience are nice.

My friend from work suggested this place. We loved it. It had a lot of German staples, but it with a modern flair. They wine list was quite nice. The apple strudel was the best part of the meal.

Very bad restaurant. They didn't serve us and actually kicked us out. Shame.

First, the staff was extraordinarily helpful in assisting me to avoid my allergens; they checked on quite a number of the menu items before we settled on something that we were all certain would not cause an allergic reaction. They were not at all put out over having to discuss, quite a number of items and go back to the shaft to check and see if they, intern, contained the attitude to which I am allergic. Second, the staff other than this was very friendly and helpful. Third, the food was very delicious and prepared, absolutely perfectly. The only reason this rating is not a 5 and is a 4 instead is because the restaurant was really really busy and therefore quite noisy. People without reservations kept coming in and crowding around our (and other peoples’) tables asking for a table even when they were told none were available. One group of some 18 or 20 people came in and when they were told there were no tables available, they didn’t leave but crowded around the tables, looking into the Restaurant to see if in fact, there were empty tables.

Am den 21/09/2024 Abend Ein unvergessliches kulinarisches Erlebnis. Jedes Gericht war perfekt, und die Aromen bleiben lange in Erinnerung. Besonders die Orata im Päckchen: Schon der Duft allein verriet, dass hier die mediterrane Küche in perfektem Einklang mit der deutschen Tradition steht. Jeder Bissen war ein wahrer Genuss, der einen auf eine Reise zwischen zwei Kulturen entführt. Der Service war außergewöhnlich – aufmerksam und herzlich. Die Atmosphäre des Restaurants lädt dazu ein, viele Erinnerungen zu schaffen, die man immer wieder aufs Neue erleben möchte. Absolut empfehlenswert für alle, die eine einzigartige Geschmackserfahrung suchen, die man im Leben unbedingt mehrmals genießen sollte.

The food was very good, and the waiters were also very nice and friendly. You really get the best schnitzel in Frankfurt here. Highly recommended.

Jedes Gericht war eine Entdeckung unvergesslicher Aromen, die an die authentischen und herzlichen Geschmäcker von Oma's Küche erinnerten. Jeder Bissen fühlte sich an wie eine Reise in die Kindheit, mit einer Perfektion und Präsentation, die ihresgleichen sucht. Der Service war außergewöhnlich: aufmerksam, freundlich und niemals aufdringlich, mit einer Liebe zum Detail, die das Erlebnis noch besonderer macht. Die Atmosphäre des Lokals ist unvergesslich, ein Ort, den man ein Leben lang in Erinnerung behalten wird. Ohne Zweifel für jeden zu empfehlen, der einen besonderen Abend mit hervorragendem Essen und herzlicher Gastfreundschaft erleben möchte.

Die Küche ist perfekt, der Service ausgezeichnet und das Ambiente schlichtweg ideal. Die Gerichte waren nicht nur geschmacklich ein Volltreffer, sondern auch wunderschön angerichtet. Besonders beeindruckend war das gestrige Erlebnis am 21.09.2024 – ein Tag, der mit unvergesslichen Aromen und einer Präsentation, die das Auge ebenso wie den Gaumen erfreut, in Erinnerung bleibt. Jeder Bissen zeugte von höchster Qualität und handwerklichem Können. Ein rundum perfektes kulinarisches Erlebnis, das ich uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen kann.

Terrible service 60min delay for dinner.

Quite disappointed in the way the waiter that served me behaved, borderline rood. There was another one (a lady) that seems much nicer, so it might be different fpr you.

When we first sat down, we were the only team on the terrace, and after we ordered, several other groups took their seats. However, our food came out after all the other groups had received their food. There are often comments about racism in the reviews, and unless they are truly racist and intended to act like this, I think they should change their service attitude. Their actions are ultimately a disgrace to their beloved country and the people they love. + I can read English well enough and that is why I ordered in English. And I don’t even need to read the menu to know that something like Schweinshaxe can take a long time. It would be a different matter if our Schweinshaxe came out later than the Schweinshaxe of the other team that came late. We had to wait almost an hour for our Schweinshaxe. I can definitely tell the difference between those two situations. And it wasn’t just the Schweinshaxe that was late. Even the Vienna Schnitzel that was late was served without cranberry jam. I told the staff about this. However, even the cranberry jam wasn’t served right away. So I had to go back and ask for it again. Was it stated on the menu that cranberry jam also takes a long time? I’m not trying to fight you. But I am saying that if some of the staff in your restaurant are acting inappropriately, it is your responsibility to correct them. This is the only reason I'm writing this review.

I went to have a meal recently and ordered the pork knuckle the portion is huge and is delicious. But….. very disappointed with the service. Read the reviews it said they provide good service and they can speak English so it will be helpful as i can't read and understand German menu. I wasn't expecting anything extra but my experience is not acceptable. From the moment i entered the restaurant the staff just sat there continue wiping the crockery at the table. When I'm ready to order the waitress asked me to wait and i waited around 10mins before she came to take my order. (there are only 3 table at that point of time) Some staff wasn't doing anything just standing there. There is a table with 7pax came after me got their orders taken immediately. What really pissed me off is my food was served after the 7pax too. The issue here is I arrived first and ordered my food first. I waited almost 30mins to get my meal served. If the dishes needed longer time i don't mind waiting if the staff inform me in advance. But they leave me hanging. While waiting for my food i observed i was mistreated. The table beside me who only speak English was given the same menu and was told to go online to check out their English menu. Why didn't the waitress told me the same when she passed me the menu so i don't have to go thru the hassle google translate the menu. She obviously know and heard me speaking in English. Everyone else came in after me was being greeted with smile and warm welcome except me. Is that a discrimination? When i asked for the bill i also waited another 10-15mins. The waitress was asking me for a tip and i decided not to give for such poor service that I received. Altho the restaurant have great ambient and good food but with such lousy service and staff i don't think i will ever go back again.

German cuisine with a large selection, nice atmosphere!

Very nice restaurant for very good German cuisine. Food of a high standard, extremely friendly service (high praise!) and a very “modern/urban” atmosphere. Class! Absolute recommendation, gladly again!

All I can say is the food, service, etc. was simply excellent. It was my first time there but not my last. Everything was right. Price performance was absolutely appropriate

Automechanika Frankfurt 2024, team wanted local cuisine. The other more "authentic" venue ran out of the pork knuckle, so this was our backup. My 8th year at the expo and some other "authentic" venues are in challenging neighborhoods that look "sus", in NYC vernacular. This restaurant was located in an office park-ish locale, it wasn't the usual, local, red-checkered tablecloth place, but had more of an Applebee's vibe with unfinished wooden tables. Very clean, everyone spoke English, very polite and friendly. We ordered the mainstays, meat platter, sausage platter, and veal schnitzel. Lots of local beer and the apple cider-very vinegary, not sweet. Safe spot for a taste of Frankfurt, closely resembling the "Epcot - Germany" experience. About $250 with tips (yes, tip economy in full force now) for 5 people, pretty fair for a safe Epcot experience.

It can be easily reached by subway, Bockenheimer Warte/Senckenberganlage stop, and a walk of around 5 minutes. Also easy to reach on foot by tram (Messe/Maritim Hotel). There are many tables and seats outside, also very suitable for a larger number of people. The menu is varied and dishes with chanterelles have just been added. The service was very friendly and attentive.

Very unfriendly staff on the phone and on site. Also a Kaiserschmarrn that doesn't deserve the name.

I have never eaten such bad Kaiserschmarrn. It started with the order, we called and were rudely brushed off by Kelner 2-3 times, until a friendly lady answered and took the order. I was treated exactly the same way on site if the emperor himself made Kaiserschmarrn.

So good. What a delight to find here in the middle of Frankfurt. Best grilled pork knuckles in town and the white sausages with an extra of green sauce is also up there.Would come back but unfortunately we live in bali

I went alone and wanted to order a sausage. The waiter recommended me a platter and the price is 27 euro on the menu. In addition, I ordered a 0.3L beer and a water, and was charged 47 euro, but I think the menu price adds up to around 35. I think I was charged 12 extra.

We went for the meat Platter for 3! Wow! Pork knuckle with the best crackling. The pork chop was the stand out! Only thing we had to ask for extra was a mushroom sauce. You won't be disappointed or hungry after this!

Very nice restaurant, very good food, everything was great. Very nice waiter. The pork chop with baked potatoes set is perfect for me, very large, you'll definitely be stuffed with it. The second set with fries was also great. The dumplings with onion are amazing. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Service and ambience were good but the veal schnitzel was small and tough and the fried potatoes were barely fried. For a price of €29 this was very disappointing

Highly recommended it was a big disappointment. The service was mediocre, even when they tried their best, new staff, the food was less than average for a typical Frankfurt Apfelwein Restaurant. Pet friendly.

Food is ok but service is terrible. If you ask something to be changed, the staff gets mad and breathes deeply like you are doing something wrong. Also, we wanted to order a small dish that are for kids, but to my mom, as she does not eat too much - they did not allow, and said it is only for kids… the place could deliver more but the staff is badly trained.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, unfortunately that was it. The food (schnitzel) is just average and unfortunately far too expensive at 21.90 euros. The apple strudel was very dry.

I knew the restaurant from before and visited their downtown location many time. The food was always good. This time, I went to their other location behind mariott Hotel. I was really disappointed. Everything was bland. The salad dressing and the green sauce were too watery. My Schnitzel was hard and had gristle. However, our waiter was very nice and friendly.

We went to Leib&Seele for dinner for the first time today. Right from the start you had the feeling that you were in good hands; The service staff took excellent care of us. The food (Frankfurter Schnitzel - once with fries, once with fried potatoes) was really delicious. The price-performance ratio is really great and we would love to come back! The ambience is also chic and just as appealing.

We have been visiting Leib und Seele restaurant for many years since it was still in a different location. We're always happy to eat in Leib und Seele despite the service always takes long but the service people are still quite decent for today's standard where service people are in other restaurants in Frankfurt can be rude. We like the new location of Leib und Seele very much. It's in a quiet corner of Frankfurt, it has a nice outdoor area and a nice indoor area too. Eventhough we have moved to another country everytime we come to Frankfurt we still like to eat in Leib und Seele restaurant. We came to Lein und Seele again on 7 July 2024 for dinner when there was a football match of UEFA Cup 2024 championship. We invited 6 friends. The restaurant was extremely full & crowded as there're 2 big screens to watch football match. I & one other friend ordered Kalbsschnitzel. After a long wait it finally came. Not really right because our fried potato didn't come with bacon as stated in the menu. We ate it anyway. Samira served us and apologised for a few mistakes on the food here and there on that evening. We accepted. As usual when we are in Frankfurt we often meet up with some of our friends. Right the next evening we came again to Leib und Seele for dinner. Our daughter ordered Kalbsschnitzel. And we saw the portion of her Kalbsschnitzel was double the size of the Kalbsschnitzel that I & our other friend ordered the evening before. It meant the chef has devided one portion of Kalbsschnitzel for 2 people the evening before but still paid the same prices. We complained to Samira and demanded to get our money back for 1 portion of Kalbsschnitzel the evening before. At first she was hesitating to reimburse our money. After long discussions finally she agreed. It's not about the money but about being cheated in a restaurant that we've come so often all these years. Those waiter & waitress have never even recognised us despite we've eaten there so often. That time visit in Frankfurt we came 3 times to eat in Leib und Seele, on 18 June for lunch and 7-8 July for dinner. I hope Leib und Seele will not cheat on their customers anymore especially not on very loyal customers like us.

The skin of the pork knuckle is very crispy and goes well with the fried potatoes. The portion is quite large and the sauerkraut is enough.

It’s the first time I’ve been to the new store for a long time. The menu is different from the old store in the city. It’s a pity that the grilled short ribs are no longer available, but the classic dishes are still delicious and the environment is nice. It’s perfect for a meal with friends. Let’s chat over dinner.

Trade fair hustle and bustle, an international horde of hungry visitors descends on the restaurant like a swarm of locusts because it is close to the trade fair and has good reviews on Google. Is there enough staff to cope with this rush? No, impossible. Does that deter the crew - of course not! If the quality of the food or service suffers - never! Dear people, respect for how you handled this onslaught with style, we had 1. a great evening with you and 2. the impression that you even had fun during the whole madness. You can work with a crew like that, and as long as there are still people who are like that, the downfall of the West is still far away - we'll be back, Chapeau!

We had a nice visit the first time, yesterday we were there for the second time and it was a disaster! The food was totally overpriced, the potatoes were all raw. The waiter was uninterested. My husband had asked for a candle to be put on the table for our wedding anniversary, which was completely ignored. I've never left a restaurant hungry after paying almost €100 for two people, but body and soul did it. We were really looking forward to this evening and it was one of the biggest disasters. Never again body and soul!!!!!!

This is the body and soul from the city - in a new place. I find the atmosphere in the restaurant pleasant. The room is high and appears friendly. On the one hand, the menu contains typical "apple dishes" such as ribs with cabbage (which was very tasty) and grilled sausages, etc. But steaks and schnitzels are also not missing and looked delicious at the neighboring table. The drinks menu offers the usual and a special goodie: Kölsch (the waiter just has to run more often). The service left something to be desired. There were only six of us in a restaurant that wasn't even half full and yet the waiter (or the kitchen) managed to forget a meal. Also "funny": the menu shows beef sausages cooked or fried but the "cooked" option is missing from the service's ordering system. This means you always get grilled (or fried???) beef sausage. Another drawback: After eating, the empty plates were on the table in front of us for a good half hour until I put them on the next table. The service employee finally noticed and cleared them away. The service was otherwise very nice... just not "on the ball". I'm giving it 4 stars because the service was just too bad for 5. But... definitely an address that doesn't need to be hidden.

Went there for a drink in the evening with two friends. The cocktails were simply 10 out of 10. The service was great and everything was well looked after. The clientele was fantastic and a really great crowd. You feel really good there. The fact that you can sit outside is really great with the surroundings. At the end there was a shot on the house. I was recently at the Leib & Seele restaurant in Frankfurt am Main and was thrilled. The cheese spaetzle with fresh salad was simply delicious and the schnitzel cordon bleu was full of flavor. I was particularly impressed by the cocktails, especially the Mango Cool and the Green Prison, which were both very tasty and full-bodied. An all-round successful experience!
