Le Bistro in Baden-Baden

Le Bistro à Baden-Baden est une brasserie conviviale où l’on peut déguster de délicieuses saucisses bavaroises. C’est un lieu très prisé, souvent complet, donc mieux vaut réserver avant de s’y rendre. Le service y est classique, efficace sans fioritures, pour une expérience typiquement bavaroise.

Lieu sympa mais vraiment très cher. La Flammkueche est à 20euros. Il faut éviter absolument le Wiener Schnitzel qui n en est pas un car ils ne savant pas le paner correctement, résultat il baigne dans l huile.

Dear French. Move on, a very big tourist trap unless you have a pot of Vaseline available... €15.90 for a 20cl Coca Cola Zero and a Diabolo Grenadine They don't know the diabolo grenadine so we explained as best we could.. They counted the price of a sprite + grenadine... The waiter was as graceful as a prison door.

Cozy bistro, very nice and attentive staff.

The hosts Hakan, Danny and Tom spoiled us so much with their professional and attentive service at Le Bistro that we came back straight away on the second evening. You can feel that the chemistry in the team is right and the guest is the focus - unfortunately this has become rare and is therefore definitely worth a positive Google review!

And it tasted very tasty. Great in autumn with the fire. Kaiserschmarren is recommended

We had two wonderful evenings at Le Bistro in a great atmosphere, with delicious food and very professional service. We felt very comfortable with Hakan and Danny! They created a great atmosphere and were very attentive!

A great tourist place in a great location. It was recommended by another restaurant manager who didn't have what we wanted. Tarte flammbe was great! Also tried their spaghetti bolognese and recommend it. Prices are maybe on the high side, but we are more used to eating away from tourist areas.

The atmosphere is very cozy and the service is very nice, but the price-performance ratio is not right. The salads were delicious, fresh and large portions, vinegar and oil were not charged extra ;-), the Strasbourg sausage salad with fried potatoes was also very tasty (but you should expect that at a price of 25 euros in total). What is not possible is an expensive rump steak that is served almost cold, is stringy in some places and then two thin slices of herb butter are charged extra (€2.90) - really embarrassing. Fries for almost €7 extra. For a small bowl of ketchup they charged €1.90 plus one mayo €1.90... That's audacious... In general, it really gets on my nerves that nowadays every side dish is charged extra expensive... Here comes it Delicious currywurst with fries then costs 20 €... It is well known that drinks in BAD are usually overpriced (e.g. 0.5 l of water costs a good 8 €...). It's a shame, because the restaurant and the staff are great, I'm happy to pay more for good food, but the price-performance ratio has to be right. Unfortunately that's not the case here... it's a real shame.

Sit, look, feast, enjoy great service! I like Le Bistro! And hey... there are now little bumps so that the handbag doesn't end up on the floor or slip off the back of the chair! How thoughtful can hospitality be? 🤩

The food is not tasty for that kind of money. The waiter's order is boorish. And most importantly, everyone was added to the cost of ten euros or more without explanation. The check was not issued. We absolutely do not recommend it.

After our complaint we got new, better ones. But later we had the fries on our bill. Unfortunately I only noticed it when I got home.

We paid €80 for two small schnitzels. The schnitzels were €21 and they charged us extra for the noodles and sauce which is normally included in the price when you order a schnitzel dinner . This place charged extra for noodles, and even the gravy had its own extra price. Never seen this before. The service was really fast.

I do not recommend the restaurant at all. The waiters weren't nice, they were gruff. The local tries to mimic French restaurant, but they are not even close. Food was ok, but surely wasn't worth the price, definitely overpriced. Being there I perceived the place as a light 'Tourist Trap' place.

I needed a dinner a little later than usual for Baden (11pm) and this restaurant offered it. I had a good Flammkuchen, with great service.

Tourist trap. The food is terrible. Avoid theirflamen kuche at all costs. It's not the least authentic. The worst part is that it tastes horrible: red onions with fried bacon and no cream. How could this be aflamen kuche? The drinks were watered down cocktails. The service was friendly. Dear. Walk a little further to Netto if you want tastier food.

The food was quite simple, and the waiters did not want to understand that we wanted a jug of water and charged us 7.90 for a 0.50l bottle, which seems exorbitant to me.

Service is friendly. Food and drinks are horrendous. Flammenkuchen Alsacien was served with a lot of red onions, bacon diced and fried beyond recognition and practically no cream. It doesn't come close to a flammmen kuche at all. The aperol we had was one the most watered down we had this summer.

Nice place in a good location, friendly staff even if I didn't see a table cleaned... you sit down but the signs of those who dined before don't take it away. Varied menu, as an Italian you struggle to understand many foods what they could be like, except the spaghetti with meat sauce 😂 which I don't dare imagine what they could be like. However what we ordered wasn't bad.

Slow service, after we waited more than one hour for our food, we asked for it. There were a couple of very arrogant waiters, and mocked us on our complain about the long wait for our food to arrive. Avoid this place, there are many other places with similar food and nicer service.

Aparentemente un lugar muy agradable hemos tenido la mala suerte de que nos atienda un camarero en la terraza (mayor que el resto, grueso y con cara de pocos amigos) muy malhumorado que no tenía ninguna intención de hacernos agradable la cena. No nos ha traído lo especificado en carta, nos ha cobrado de más y hacia lo posible por ignorarnos. Ojalá nos hubiera atendido cualquiera de los otros camareros que parecían bastante más agradables.!!

We actually always liked going to Le Bistro, but now we don't go there anymore. You get the feeling that it's a real rip-off now.

Excessively expensive due to the very touristy location. I had maultaschen (Maulbronn specialty) which were not very tasty.

To avoid: 11.80 eur for 2 unfortunate 20 cl cokes. Be careful, the prices are not clearly displayed... Very average service otherwise...

La terrasse est sympathique et agréable… les serveurs souriants. Sauf que c’est un attrape touriste ! Vous commander 2 burgers à 25€ pièce (deja pas donné). Logiquement, le serveur vous propose des frites et sauces. Sauf qu’ici, TOUT est en supplément ! Résultat : 96€ pour 2 apéritifs, 2 burgers et une demi bouteille d’eau. Scandaleux !!! Des voleurs !!!

I do not recommend, excessive and dishonest prices!!! You order 2 burgers for €25... logically, the waiter offers you fries and sauce... without specifying that everything is extra and at a high price. In short, €96 for two aperitifs, two burgers and half a bottle of water. This is theft !!!

Small portions, but outrageously expensive! House lemonade was simply an orange juice spritzer (unfortunately not tasty)! Tarte flambée very small for €15 (the wrong one was served, not the one I ordered). Unfortunately Camembert wasn't tasty, cheese spaetzle was ok. Two adults and two children, one course and one drink each, small portions, €90!!!!!

Unfortunately, price-quality ratio was not very good. Too small portion for too much money. The atmosphere was great on the terrace and the service was very friendly and fast.

Very nice restaurant with a large outdoor area in the middle of the pedestrian zone in Baden Baden. The atmosphere is very cozy, the staff is very friendly and the orders come to the table fairly quickly. The tarte flambée was very tasty and the Bauhöfer’s “Helles” tasted very good. You can also stop here with the children. We will be back…

The service was very slow, the drinks arrived after the food, after 40 minutes. And dessert 60 minutes. I had to go look for the menu, I asked for it on several occasions. Yes, I find the food very good and abundant.

Unfortunately our food was just ok, but the staff was very friendly. I can't recommend the schnitzel more highly. I suspect it wasn't souffled, so the breading was very tough. Cranberries were only available upon special request and additional payment.

The restaurant was way too expensive compared to the portions. Also, the menu was different than what was served. I wouldn't recommend it.

The location is good, the rest is so-so. The prices for what is on offer (mediocre food) are very exorbitant. The ladies from the service were great, the gentleman was absolutely listless. He kept running past ignoring us.

Enjoyed a nice breakfast here before some shopping in Baden-Baden. We enjoyed various types of Eggs Benedict and the Bavarian sausage. Service, food and atmosphere were as expected for the area.

The appearance is sweet and the taste is less than normal. One piece steak is small in size and its price is expensive and cannot be repeated.

Quality of the food is good...BUT ...the portion of the fondue meat (here oil) was ridiculous to say the least...when I ordered another portion (reordering a portion of meat) there was a little more meat on the small plate, but still a typical "tourist" portion.. .and the price was a disgrace. Otherwise, “see and be seen” is in first place here.😉 If you just want to have a drink and “people watch” here, you are well served.

We arrived to watch the Germany v.s Denmark game, and no doubt it was very busy. However, the customer service was absolutely horrendous - along with their prices. We were promptly told there were no seats in front of the TV and we were given a table in the corner - however when other customers arrived they asked if they wanted to watch the football and if so, were given a table and seat on the pedestrian pathway! I would not recommend this place - unless you want rude treatment :)

We paid for a Schnitzel, french fries, Spätzle and two water 63.10 Euro. Server let us wait and was very unfriendly and screwed us up with the bill. Taste of the food was not worth the price. It was disappointing.

Overcharged us, didn't get the baguette for the dish, then we asked if they could give us something as a replacement to the baguette as they didn't have any, then we got vegetables and then they charged us for the vegetables. Bad service and overpriced. 1 dish, a water, and a side of fries and vegetables was 63€

Le Bistro - number 1 for me in Baden-Baden. Great team, fast, highly motivated, blessed with a lot of good humor, always attentive, no table goes unnoticed. The cuisine is excellent, the prices are appropriate for the service and for Baden-Baden, because it does not benefit any customer if the prices are low and the quality suffers. I would be happy to pay a little more and have a great time in the bistro with great food, drink, great ambience and good conversation. A cozy, nice restaurant with good food. Attentive service. However, there is still a big negative point in terms of service & a tip to the restaurant; It's aloof and unprofessional when the waiters simply call the guests by their first name and act like they're good buddies, as if they've known each other for years. That really doesn't work at all.

Naturally quite busy on Saturdays, service tried its best to be quick and friendly. But overpriced! A beer 0.3 for €5.90! A gin and tonic €12.50! A price like that doesn't have to be the case, it's a deterrent.

Very friendly, good and fast service. Food excellent. All wishes were easily taken into account. It's a lot of fun to be here. Danny and Hakan's humor is also very entertaining and always sophisticated. We are already looking forward to our next visit to Le Bistro.

We always enjoy coming here when we are in Baden-Baden. Everything is very good!

A good, but still normal burger with fries and ketchup for 35 euros in an average shop with a pub atmosphere - that's very outlandish...

Not too many vegetarian options but the Tricolore flammkuchen is sehr lekker! Would also highly recommend the spätburgender red wine, the “tiramisu alla nonna” and the Kaiserschmarren. For the non-vegetarians, the maultaschen and the Spargel with salmon are expensive but worth it.

We ate here for the first time on May 1st. The prices here are pretty steep, I have to say. The bistro is also very tourist-friendly in the town center - you actually have to walk past it when you're traveling in Baden Baden. On Father's Day we were there for the second time in a week and ate a currywurst with bread for 12 euros. We skipped the fries for 7 euros a portion. What was noticeable was that there was only half of the delicious sauce in the pot and the bread was only half as much as a week before when my son had a currywurst. We paid 42 euros for two currywursts and two drinks. Have a good meal!!!!

If only there is Baden-Baden - there is no better place to eat, linger and of course drink with the best people watch. Particularly worthy of mention is the outstanding and, above all, very motivated and friendly staff, who are happy to give tips for this great service - unfortunately you can only find this very rarely elsewhere.

A cozy restaurant with a terrace and local game. Good selection of dishes and nice service. The food was also very tasty, especially the game meat. Prices are a bit high.
