Le Bistro in Baden-Baden

Beautiful, special atmosphere, great food. You could taste that most of the food was homemade. The goulash soup was delicious. I had fried pollock with potato salad and you can tell that the tartar sauce and breadcrumbs were homemade. The potato salad could have used more pepper, but you can season it yourself to suit your taste. The menu was a bit confusing, but that too was solved. Once the little misunderstanding was resolved, the tarte flambée also tasted great. The staff is very friendly, open to comments and will find a good solution for everything. You notice how well the team works together.

Simply great!!! Absolutely everything is right here, great ambience, the food was extremely tasty and is reasonably priced. The atmosphere is very pleasant and relaxed, we felt completely comfortable. The staff is awesome! Here you can feel the team work and have fun and enjoy what you do. It was really an experience, we would love to come back.

The best Wiener schnitzel in Baden Baden

Simply great! I would go to “Le Bistro” more often if I lived there. Enjoy the delicious food and atmosphere, really a little touch of France in Baden-Baden. So: the food was very good, the service was quick and friendly. The reception alone - the table was reserved - was nice. Unfortunately, the drinks were a little overpriced, even for Baden-Baden. But this didn't detract from our stay there. Anytime again, if it stays that way.

SCAM for tourists, avoid! Two small examples: - you only ask for mayonnaise to accompany the fries, you are served mayonnaise and ketchup... why not? ... except that they then charge you 2 euros each (for purely industrial products!) - you ask for a glass of wine, they serve you the large format, without warning you, or, we say to ourselves that they are generous: in reality it is you who will be, because obviously you will pay 12 euros each. Such practices, even with a smile, are odious! The business is so profitable that they accept reservations even if the restaurant is full (you will simply have to wait upon arrival).

Tourist trap... really exorbitant prices for very mediocre quality. There are also outrageous surcharges that were not previously explained. We went home disappointed.

Mythical place in Baden-Baden known for a long time by regulars, well frequented, however the setting is a little too dark and is probably intended to be intimate, the menu could be a little more original, on the other hand the meat was perfectly prepared for French taste buds, the staff attentive and the service very friendly. Good address with a rather pleasant atmosphere.

We had a spontaneous meal here last weekend and it was really delicious. Very good service, not a long waiting time despite many customers, nice staff and super dog-friendly!!! The price for the small Kaiserschmarrn is quite reasonable considering that it is really only a small portion. But the applesauce was twice as tasty!☺️

A charming spot in the heart of the city, where you can unwind on the inviting terrace or in the even more delightful indoor space. A thoughtful touch was the candles on every table inside, enhancing the restaurant’s beautiful décor and warm ambiance. The service was great, everyone is polite. There is a big choice for food and drinks, and the food was tasty.

Repas ok …mais la portion de frites pour accompagner les moules à 6,90€ sans précision de la serveuse, pensez a vérifier le prix de l’eau la bouteille de 50 cl 7,90€, le supplément de crème chantilly 2,50€ pour accompagner une tarte aux myrtilles décongelée immangeable... Et des toilettes pas propres.

We had a wonderful day in Baden-Baden! After our visit to the Frieder Burda Museum, where we were able to enjoy the impressive Yoshitomo Nara exhibition, we stopped at the nearby Le Bistro. We received a warm welcome and were very lucky to be served by Denny – a restaurateur through and through. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was wonderful and we felt completely at home. It was the perfect end to a cultural afternoon in the beautiful city of Baden-Baden. We will have fond memories of this day and our visit to Le Bistro – and we will definitely come back!

Restaurant à la déco bois et lumière sombre donne un aspect chaleureux très agréable. Les prix sont moins agréables, c'est très très cher pour ce qui est proposé sans être plus copieux qu'ailleurs ni même meilleur. Obligés de se rabattre sur des plats les moins chers (mais cher pour ce que c'est) mais sans plaisir ... très désagréable. Le vin au verre est horriblement cher : 12cl = 7€ et 15cl = 10€ ... n'importe quoi ! Le service est efficace mais tellement efficace qu'ils tentent de nous mettre dehors moins d'1h après s'être assis car du monde attend pour manger (il est 15h). Comme dans toute ville d'Europe et d'ailleurs, il y a LE restaurant attrape touriste. On pensait être rodé sur le sujet et bien non, les 2 pieds dedans :)

Trendy place for lunch, dinner, a quick drink, etc. The service is fast, friendly and professional. Prices are moderate. It has a very wide and varied menu, for all options.

Aucun prix n’est affiché (et on comprend pourquoi !) On y est passé pour l’apéro, 2 bières un coca et une limonade avec une tarte flambée…44€ J’ai comme L’impression que je me suis fait pigeonné. On ne m’y reprendra pas.

A tourist trap. We were surprised this place gets an overall 4.1 score. I ordered their red wine recommendation (Spätburgunder), usually this is a safe option, but here it’s bad quality (and you pay +10€ for 20cl). Then I had ordered Kaiserschmarren. It was dry, no taste, and not warm. Another 14€ down the drain. What a disappointment. A wanna be French bistro place. Not my cup of tea…

Seit Jahrzehnten eingeführtes Bistro im französischen Stil, das trotz der vielen Touristen auch einheimische Stammgäste zu haben scheint. Innen angenehm kuschlig mit kleinen Tischen mit Kerze. Schönes, schummriges Ambiente. Die Karte ist groß und bietet eine gute Auswahl an Snacks wie Flammkuchen, Salaten aber auch große Gerichte wie Burger und Steaks oder Lokales wie Wurstsalat oder Linsen und Spätzle. Das Personal ist kundig und gut ausgebildet und kann daher auch zu Getränken und Wein beraten. Die Preise sind gehoben. Es gibt von den meisten Gerichte eine große und kleine Portion. Das finde ich gut. So kann man noch ein Dessert im Anschluss essen.

Charismatic site with many imperfections. Tables extremely close together without space for the sole purpose of making the business's income statement profitable. The reglete is extremely expensive in relation to its contents: seven vinegared onions, three pickles, five baby potatoes and a piece of cold, dry cheese. Water more expensive than beer. Awesome. Thanks to the kindness of the staff they have obtained this note. If it weren't for the employees it would be a lower grade.

Nice, but I found the prices exorbitant for a small flame €16.90, the small flame is the size of a fork, it was really very small. On the other hand, it was good, it no longer costs €20, a flame is still expensive.

We stopped to eat a German sausage... what a surprise. The bratwurst and currywurst are top of the line. I can imagine the other dishes!

Le Bistro à Baden-Baden est une brasserie conviviale où l’on peut déguster de délicieuses saucisses bavaroises. C’est un lieu très prisé, souvent complet, donc mieux vaut réserver avant de s’y rendre. Le service y est classique, efficace sans fioritures, pour une expérience typiquement bavaroise.

I enjoy the atmosphere there - on the summer time in the shade or in the cold time of pre-christmas season, with the heat of fire that they put on the terrace. It's a nice place to spend some time with a glass of wine/beer/Irish coffee - depends on the season. Service is good, except one lady who seems permanently tired and not too friendly.

If you want to eat or drink in an exposed place, you also pay exposed prices here, e.g. B. a large beer for €7.90, a burger for just under €30. Instead, you sit car-free and can observe this part of the pedestrian zone (at the moment you are sitting surrounded by construction sites). The service was attentive and initially not objectionable. A little tip: Jokes at guests' expense should be treated with caution, as they don't go down well with everyone.

A really cute place. A very interesting menu with delicious food. Very nice people. Four of us got a place without a reservation. The food was very good. The prices are already in the upper range, but this ambience makes them ok.

Very rude staff. Service is worst. Cannot comment on food as we were afraid to have food there after hearing shouting from one of their staff members for asking a table. So we left the place.

Move on, a very big tourist trap unless you have a pot of Vaseline available... €15.90 for a 20cl Coca Cola Zero and a Diabolo Grenadine They don't know the diabolo grenadine so we explained as best we could.. They counted the price of a sprite + grenadine... The waiter was as graceful as a prison door.

The hosts Hakan, Danny and Tom spoiled us so much with their professional and attentive service at Le Bistro that we came back straight away on the second evening. You can feel that the chemistry in the team is right and the guest is the focus - unfortunately this has become rare and is therefore definitely worth a positive Google review!

A great tourist place in a great location. It was recommended by another restaurant manager who didn't have what we wanted. Tarte flammbe was great! Also tried their spaghetti bolognese and recommend it. Prices are maybe on the high side, but we are more used to eating away from tourist areas.

The atmosphere is very cozy and the service is very nice, but the price-performance ratio is not right. The salads were delicious, fresh and large portions, vinegar and oil were not charged extra ;-), the Strasbourg sausage salad with fried potatoes was also very tasty (but you should expect that at a price of 25 euros in total). What is not possible is an expensive rump steak that is served almost cold, is stringy in some places and then two thin slices of herb butter are charged extra (€2.90) - really embarrassing. Fries for almost €7 extra. For a small bowl of ketchup they charged €1.90 plus one mayo €1.90... That's audacious... In general, it really gets on my nerves that nowadays every side dish is charged extra expensive... Here comes it Delicious currywurst with fries then costs 20 €... It is well known that drinks in BAD are usually overpriced (e.g. 0.5 l of water costs a good 8 €...). It's a shame, because the restaurant and the staff are great, I'm happy to pay more for good food, but the price-performance ratio has to be right. Unfortunately that's not the case here... it's a real shame.

The food is not tasty for that kind of money. The waiter's order is boorish. And most importantly, everyone was added to the cost of ten euros or more without explanation. The check was not issued. We absolutely do not recommend it.

Ambiance ok. Service good. Price performance rather inadequate. Prices for the drinks are horrendous. We got warmed up fries with our meat order. Unfortunately inedible. After our complaint we got new, better ones. But later we had the fries on our bill. Unfortunately I only noticed it when I got home.

We paid €80 for two small schnitzels. The schnitzels were €21 and they charged us extra for the noodles and sauce which is normally included in the price when you order a schnitzel dinner . This place charged extra for noodles, and even the gravy had its own extra price. Never seen this before. The service was really fast.

I do not recommend the restaurant at all. The waiters weren't nice, they were gruff. The local tries to mimic French restaurant, but they are not even close. Food was ok, but surely wasn't worth the price, definitely overpriced. Being there I perceived the place as a light 'Tourist Trap' place.

I needed a dinner a little later than usual for Baden (11pm) and this restaurant offered it. I had a good Flammkuchen, with great service.

Tourist trap. The food is terrible. Avoid theirflamen kuche at all costs. It's not the least authentic. The worst part is that it tastes horrible: red onions with fried bacon and no cream. How could this be aflamen kuche? The drinks were watered down cocktails. The service was friendly. Dear. Walk a little further to Netto if you want tastier food.

The food was quite simple, and the waiters did not want to understand that we wanted a jug of water and charged us 7.90 for a 0.50l bottle, which seems exorbitant to me.

Service is friendly. Food and drinks are horrendous. Flammenkuchen Alsacien was served with a lot of red onions, bacon diced and fried beyond recognition and practically no cream. It doesn't come close to a flammmen kuche at all. The aperol we had was one the most watered down we had this summer.
