Taj Tandoori in Baden-Baden

We were there for the second time and enjoyed it just as much! We got the house's first Red Bombay cocktail and it was delicious!! The waiter was courteous, humorous and warm :) Highly recommended!

This was our third time in Baden Baden and our third time here. Very nice atmosphere with very friendly service and excellent food. We have rarely had Indian food as good as in this restaurant.

We spontaneously went out for dinner as a couple during the week. Really great food and quality. Everything went very quickly and was totally warm. The dessert was also very good. Everything without feeling full (schnitzel eaters and pork knuckle lovers will know this ;-)

Extremely friendly service. Very accommodating. Everything went smoothly. Beautiful, modern interior design. Toilets could be a bit cleaner. Food was tasty but not exceptional. Allergens are pointed out and you can also say if you have an intolerance - then pay attention to it. Papadam delicious, but unfortunately no yogurt mint sauce.

Already here for the third time: very tasty food, courteous and fast service, nice ambience. We recommend the butter chicken, which is also available at dinner upon request (it is only on the lunch menu). The lamb and tandoori dishes are also very good. There is always enough rice served, the plates are warmed and the bowls of meat are served on a warmer at the table. Be sure to order naan bread with it. We'd love to come back!

The food was amazing and authentic. Hosts were very humble and welcoming. We tried the Paneer Chilli and Dal Makhni, and the taste was similar to what I would expect sitting in a restaurant in India. The price seemed on a higher side compared to other Indian restaurants I have visited in past in Germany, but the portions are really good. Only thing which was not impressive was the mango lassi, which felt quite diluted and the sweetness of mangoes was missing.

This is the best Indian food my boyfriend and I have ever had!! I got the chicken korma and my boyfriend got the butter chicken; there was so much flavor and the chicken was cooked perfectly! The restaurant itself is very beautiful and clean and the service is amazing; our waiter was very attentive. I wish we lived in the area because we would make this our regular spot. 10/10!

Unfortunately we weren't so happy today...with the food...For the starter, the lettuce leaves were black and some of them were already rotten... Unfortunately the main course came burnt... I had number 28... it can happen that the vegetables were swapped, but the fish and shrimp that were included were not taken into account. To be honest, the restaurant says it is halal, but I was suspicious of them. One says only chicken and lamb are halal and the rest is forbidden, and another says everything is halal, so I asked them for shrimp biryani and the food was a failure.

After visiting the classic car meeting, we stopped in at short notice without a reservation. Lucky, last table. Reservation strongly recommended! We drank "Kingfisher" real Indian beer. Like a German Pilsner! The dishes we chose were 96 halibut and 119 mushrooms with chilies. Serve with garlic bread and naan. Everything was very delicious. The fish was seasoned a bit lifeless, but ok. Price-performance ratio good. (A little more expensive than in Karlsruhe or Bruchsal... But it's actually almost normal in Baden Baden😉) Definitely RECOMMENDED

But overall was good. My Arab brothers, the restaurant is nice, the flavors are there, but the chicken was very dry. The restaurant will serve me and I am not the best. They are quick with service and have a nice mood. They try to speak to him in Arabic and welcome us. If we return, I will return to the employees’ psychology only.

Wir holen immer nur ab. Essen ist 20 Minuten nach bestellen abholbereit und es gibt 10 Prozent Rabatt. Immer super lecker und die Preise dementsprechend gerechtfertigt. Portionen sind üppig und Fleischmenge passt auch im Gegensatz zu anderen Anbietern.

Ich war bereits einige Male hier im Restaurant und kann es nur weiterempfehlen. Beide Male haben wir ohne Reservierung noch einen Tisch erhalten. Essen, sowohl der Service waren super. Die Größe der Portionen ist auch optimal. Man wird immer satt, aber schafft es alles aufzuessen. Eine große Auswahl an vegetarischen Gerichten, sodass ich immer was neues bisher essen konnte. Für mich das beste indische Restaurant im BB.

das Essen war sehr salzig. obwohl bei beiden bestellten Gerichten dabei stand es gäbe frisches Tagesgemüse war dies nur bei einem der Fall. bei dem anderen Gericht konnte man das Gemüse kaum sehen.

In Baden-Baden ist diese Gaststätte nicht das einzige Restaurant mit indischer Küche, aber mit Abstand das beste. Schon beim Betreten duftet es verführerisch nach fernöstlichen Gewürzen, man sitzt bequem und wird schnell und liebevoll, im Verlauf des Abends fast ein wenig zu beflissentlich bedient, wenn bis zu sechsmal in kurzer Zeit gefragt wird, ob alles in Ordnung sei. Aber lieber so als ein desinteressierter, nur mit Mühe für die Bestellung herbeizitierbarer Kellner, wie man es anderenorts zuweilen erlebt. Alles, was wir hier an zwei Abenden probierten, war von außerordentlich hoher Qualität, wirkte sehr authentisch und schmeckte auch im Hinblick auf die Gewürzmischungen vorzüglich. Ich bestellte zunächst, wie stets in einem mir noch nicht bekannten indischen Feinschmeckertempel, eine Mulligatawny-Suppe (südindische Spezialität mit gelben Linsen). Ich gestehe, ich habe schon cremigere Mulligatawny-Suppen serviert bekommen, doch ist das kein Qualitätsmerkmal, da oft auch Bindemittel, Gluten und ähnliche Zutaten im Spiel sind. Diese hier zeichnete sich durch eine eher dünnflüssige Konsistenz, aber einen angenehm charakteristischen Geschmack aus. Das zum Hauptgericht georderte Raita (Joghurt mit Zwiebel, Tomate, Gurke und Kräuter, von seiner Funktion her im Menü dem Zaziki der Griechen etwas ähnlich, doch mit typisch indischer Geschmacksnote) kam dafür um so cremiger daher. Meine Begleiterin mußte sich danach an ihr Hauptgericht -- Auberginenpüree mit Zwiebel, Tomate, Ingwer und Knoblauch -- erst gewöhnen, wohingegen ich von meiner Wahl vom ersten Bissen an total begeistert war: Das als Gulasch geschnetzelte Lammrückenfilet war so ungemein zart, daß es fast auf der Zunge zerging; die Sauce mit Zwiebel, Knoblauch, Ingwer, Tomate und Kräutern war so superköstlich, daß man davon gar nicht genug bekommen konnte. Die besondere Qualität und Freundlickeit des Personals bewogen uns, tags darauf noch einmal hier zu speisen. Meine Begleiterin war von dem oben beschriebenen Lammrückenfilet so sehr begeistert, daß sie es diesmal selber bestellte (es war auch diesmal ein Gedicht). Ich entschied mich für "Chicken 65": keine Ahnung, was die Zahl bedeuten soll, aber es ist jedenfalls ein traditionelles Rezept (Hähnchen mit einer Marinade aus Curryblättern, Knoblauch, Ingwer, Chili, Joghurt und Zitronensaft) -- ein ungemein originelles, geschmacklich intensives Gericht mit einer sehr roten Sauce und etwas für Liebhaber einer gewissen Schärfe. Dazu auch hier der typisch wunderbare perlige Reis. Mit einem Wort: Ich war begeistert.

Best place in Baden Baden. Food is fast and freshly served. Our tastebuds exploded. Plates are hot. The service is amazing, kind and friendly. And the atmosphere is cosy and an amazing experience. We also had take out and take out tasted as amazing as dining in. It wasn’t cold or tasteless. Just as amazing.
