Indisches Restaurant Ganesha in Baden-Baden

Went to Ganesha restaurant seeing the 4.8 star review, Restaurant ambience was good. We ordered chicken biriyani, chicken tikka Masala and naan. Chicken biriyani was really dissapointing, there was no flavour for the rice and chicken. Naan was also mediocre, it had some extra sour taste, Chicken tikka Masala was ok tasting, Overall we couldn't finish the dish and didn't bother to take parcel, a dissapointing experience. Hope they can live up to the rating!!.

Naans were tasteless - to avoid. It’s a shame for an indian restaurant Shimp Tandoori and Madras were okay, but too much salt Overall, it felt like an average Indian. I was disappointed considering the high rating on Google

The food is delicious, the service was friendly, even though he was really stressed because it was really full on Saturday evening (better make a reservation!), beautifully decorated. Absolutely recommended.

Even if the restaurant doesn't look particularly inviting, it is very nicely decorated inside. We ordered starters & main courses. We weren't entirely impressed with the starters as they were a bit dry. But the main courses were super tasty. It was great that everything was served at the same time. Overall, the selection on the menu was very large - both vegetarian and meat dishes. The mango lassi tasted delicious!

Food was good. Despite giving the correct address when ordering, the driver needed three phone calls to find us. He then handed over one too many meals for which he later wanted more money than the price on the menu.

We visited this restaurant today.This is one of the most delicious Indian meals we have ever eaten. The menu is extensive and varied and caters for all tastes of Indian cuisine. Even though it was very busy today, the service was very good.We had the chicken tikka to start and this was absolutely delicious. For mains we had Chicken Danshak and Butter chicken, both are wonderful and tasty .One of the best is Mango lassi. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

One of the best Indian restaurant in baden-baden outside of the India I have ever seen.Ambience is also very lovely. Their menu has lots of options including vegetarian. Curries portions was enough for 2 people and Naan is a very good option. Naan were so tasty ans soft. They also provided Rice with curry as complimentary. They also has lots of drink options. Staff was so polite and went beyond to accommodate all our requests. Much appreciate their staff for such a great service. Highly recommended. Must visit🥰

If you are Indian, I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant. My friends and I had a deeply disappointing experience, primarily due to discriminatory treatment by the Indian staff themselves. While German customers received attentive and proper service, we were treated poorly. They didn’t even bother setting up our table. Starters were served without plates or cutlery, and when we requested them, the waiter handed us only a few spoons and napkins. How does one eat chicken tikka with a spoon? It felt incredibly disrespectful, and the irony of experiencing such discrimination from fellow Indians made the situation even more disheartening. The service was unprofessional and dismaying, leaving us with a sour experience.

I've eaten Indian food many times before, but this time I took a few of my friends with me. They also ate the food and really enjoyed it. Today it took a little longer because it was a bit hectic, but the food was served hot and fresh and was very tasty and we will be back. The entire experience was wonderful, from the delicious food to the attentive service to the charming ambience.

The Food was great. Big portion - with rice and naan bread, the chicken was so tinder and moist. The price is affordable and location is okay. We had a good lunch -not loud but relax.

Nice reception and service, quick service on a Monday. The food was okay, but very “European” seasoning, which I know is different and more authentic. Portions sufficient and nicely prepared. For people who don't know Indian food in the original, home-style cooking, this is definitely a recommendation, otherwise it lacks a bit of pizzazz

Very tasty food, we each ordered a menu to pick up. The food was packaged so well that it tasted like it was served straight away. The portions were decent and there was enough meat on the plate. Will definitely eat there again and try out the menu. PS: The menu only mentioned the meat dish, but we always had a portion of rice with it.

We had the food delivered, which took a very long time. Unfortunately, I didn't like my duck dish at all - it was huge pieces that were difficult to chew.

We went there during lunch time. There was a table. And we. We parked in the shopping center. Only two minutes away... We ordered, everything was delicious, but the dishes went cold so quickly... The dishes themselves were served with a tea light. The dishes that were served were cold...

One of the greatest restaurants in Baden-Baden, even if not at first glance. From the service to the food, everything was top. The food was prepared to perfection and we really enjoyed it. What also struck us as very positive were the “normal” prices. Here you pay a little over €5 for a beer and not over €7 like in many other restaurants, not to mention the prices of the food on offer. When it comes to the quality of the food, some restaurateurs could learn a thing or two. Keep it up !!

We ordered via Lieferando. The food arrived very quickly. However, the butter chicken tasted terrible. That was the worst butter chicken I've eaten in my life. I don't order there anymore.

Excellent and exquisite restaurant for getting the Indian vibe. The food quality is voracious. An authentic place for Punjabi food cuisine. Most recommended if you are here in Baden Baden. Try the Namaste Naan , the most delicious Naan ever made. They always give the chutneys which are totally best to go with these naan .

Visiting Ganesha was an absolute delight! From the aromatic spices to the impeccable service, every aspect of the experience met our expectations. The Kadhai Paneer and Crunchy-Ente was bursting with flavor and the consistency of Paneer was perfect. ( Not like chewing gum) And the „Namaste Naan“ was the perfect accompaniment. With a cozy ambiance and very friendly staff, it’s a good place for a taste of authentic Indian cuisine.

Food and ambience was excellent!. One should for sure try kadai paneer and garlic naan! Rice is complimentary, gulab Jamoon was the highlight!

Mega tasty, first-class naan bread, chicken tikka masala and jalfrezi are a real treat... and most importantly: there's something to eat later on. Always happy.

I have tried Samosa in many places but the authentic taste Ifound here. Soupe, Tandoori Chicken Tikka, Lime soda, Bhindi ki sabji etc I have tried and all were of good quality in a reasonable price. I have been visiting this restaurant since 1 year and always find good taste with good quality of food. And one more thing they are open to customize the dish with your favourite flavour. 👍

Really bad food! If you are an Indian and looking for authentic Indian food, you will be disappointed.

Avoid this if you are an Indian in search of good indian food! You’ll be served with colored and rubbery tandoori chicken. Bad ambience, dirty table cloth, dirty plates & glasses! Utter disappointment!!

Disappointed to say the least. Food is mixed with a lot of colour. Lassi was too sweet, glasses were dirty and Grilled chicken tasted like rubber.

A little old. The food was OK so far, but not a taste experience in terms of seasoning, as I know it from Indian cuisine. The dal soup and the vegetarian cauliflower dish were a bit bland and only lukewarm, warmed up briefly but not freshly cooked. Was expecting more. The service was OK, but the Ayurvedic Yogi tea was unfortunately very thin without a spicy taste. The 3.5 stars from Trip Advisor are more accurate than the 4.5 stars from Google. You can change that! I wish the owner much success!

I ordered my three favorite dishes for my birthday. The delivery was late, which wasn't a big deal, but the food was disappointing all around! I like to cook Indian food myself and have also eaten in many Indian restaurants. The curry was just sugary sweet and otherwise had no flavor whatsoever. The meat (chicken) was really just super dry and tough! Apart from the fact that there were a maximum of five pieces of meat per portion for the hefty price of €17.50, there was a lot of rice that came completely without salt! The same goes for the other dishes! Little Indian spices and a total lack of salt thoroughly spoiled my birthday meal. Funnily enough, the shrimp curry tasted exactly the same as the chicken curry. No fishy aroma at all. No spices whatsoever. Just sugar, sugar, sugar. I'm really super disappointed. I'm used to bad food from delivery services, but I really expect something different from a real restaurant!

Enttäuschend, hätte ich mal lieber auf die anderen Bewertungen geschaut. Wir haben einmal Butter chicken und einmal Chicken Korma mit Naan zum liefern bestellt. Leider hat das wenig mit indischen Essen zu tun. Das Essen wird verdünnt und ist zu flüssig. Geschmacklich könnte ich es besser selber machen, da es kaum Geschmack hatte. Das Butter Chicken hat nach normaler Tomantensahne-Soße geschmeckt. Das Naan war sehr fettig, das Fett ist regelrecht aus dem Brot gelaufen, war aber noch das beste an der Bestellung. Heiß war es leider auch nicht mehr nur lauwarm. Die Lieferung war im Verhältnis schnell und zuvorkommend. Trotzdem war es zum zweiten Mal leider sehr enttäuschend. Ein drittes Mal werden wir nicht mehr bestellen, auch wenn es normalerweise heißt: „Alle guten Dinge sind drei…“

I have been in Germany for 9 years and am a foodie. I've been to many Indian restaurants all over Germany, but the food here in Ganesha is one of the best in Germany. I am in love with the food and the service. I live in Karlsruhe, but I always come here for dinner and it's worth going there. Five stars!!! Dal Makhani and Karachi Paneer…yum

Am Stephanstag war das Restaurant komplett voll und Gäste mussten lange warten, wenn sie ohne Reservierung noch einen Tisch bekommen wollten. Von daher sind wir dankbar, dass wir überhaupt noch reingekommen sind. Das Personal ist freundlich und hatte alle Hände voll zu tun. Diesmal hat uns das Essen nicht vollständig überzeugt. Es war gut und sehr, sehr cremig-mild. Und das obwohl wir das schärfere Gericht mit 2 Chili-Schoten 🌶️🌶️bestellt hatten.

Super schöne Erfahrung! Haben schon seit längerem überlegt das Restaurant zu probieren und heute haben wir uns mal ran getraut.. zum Glück! :) Preis-Leistung megaaaaaaa. Service war sehr nett und aufmerksam. Über das Essen kommen wir immer noch nicht hinweg am liebsten wären wir direkt noch einmal rein gegangen. Ich kann auf jeden Fall den Mango Lassi empfehlen! :) Wir bereuen es nicht schon früher hingegangen zu sein.

Das Essen war wirklich absolut hervorragend! Sehr gute Auswahl, die Entscheidung fiel schwer. Einziger Wermutstropfen: die Portionen waren wirklich sehr klein. Wir hatten beide eine Vorspeise (Suppe, ebenfalls eine winzige Portion). Nach der Hauptspeise waren wir leider immer noch hungrig. Man könnte vielleicht schon sagen, dass wir sehr gute Esser sind, bislang sind wir im Restaurant aber eigentlich immer satt geworden. Wenigstens passen die Preise dazu: insgesamt war es leicht günstiger als in anderen Restaurants, wenn wir essen gehen. Daher: wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und dann eben zu zweit drei Gerichte bestellen. Was uns nämlich ebenfalls beim Essen gefehlt hat, war das Gemüse. Es war doch sehr fleischlastig. Ein weiterer Punkt, der mir aufgefallen ist: ich konnte auf der Speisekarte keine Zusatzstoff Deklaration sehen. Das ist etwas unangenehm, wenn man eine Unverträglichkeit hat. Wenn man das weiß, kann man das ja berücksichtigen.

Samstag Abend dort spontan noch einen Platz bekommen, obwohl das Restaurant gut besucht war. Service war sehr nett und zuvorkommend und das Essen sehr lecker. Eine Empfehlung hat das Restaurant auf jeden Fall verdient.

Wir waren gestern zu viert im Ganesha an einem Samstag Abend essen. Es gibt nichts zu bemängeln. Service war gut. Essen war lecker. Es war jetzt nicht der Beste Inder den ich jemals besucht hatte, aber es war trotzdem alles super lecker, jedem hat es geschmeckt und die Portionen waren auch gut. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder.
