Pleasant, later there was live music, really good food but also at steep prices!

I had a small soup of pureed red lentils - tasty, but nothing special, apart from the price - ten euros! There was no bread, just an egg cup full of chips and half a lemon. I thought it was overpriced. The service staff tried hard. Overall, a disappointing visit to the restaurant.

Just plain good. Great lifemusic with karaoke . Everyone friendly . Thank You for the good time .

We were there solely for the atmosphere and drinks. Therefore, I can’t say anything about the food, unfortunately. I definitely give 5 stars for the incredibly cozy atmosphere, location (right next to the metro), very, very good service! The waiter guy was very friendly. The food prices seemed overpriced. I would gladly come back again.

We went to the bar for a few drinks. When one of us wanted to order a coffee, we were told there was no more and no water either. Two minutes later, the same service person was sitting at the bar, drinking a coffee and looking provocatively at my friend, who also wanted one. Guys, service is really different. The second service person who brought the drinks was very nice and even brought us the water we requested. Later it was said that you couldn't pay with a card, it would be written outside (it wasn't). It was ok for a nightcap, but we won't be coming back again

It was a real nice experience visiting my good friend varsha , i was delievered with areal nice treat .👌🏻let‘s not forgot about the owner and rest of staff who welcomed us in realy nice way , they were realy super nice ☺️ i will make sure to visit this nice place a gain .

The burger was horrible and cold. The order took far too long and drinks were forgotten. The service was friendly and the ambience was good. Very poor value for money and way too expensive.

I was there with a school class, the meal took 1 hour, the food was cold and the combination of ingredients on the burger were pretty inedible. The drinks consisted mostly of ice cubes and people were forgotten to serve them. The ambience, however, was very good.

Had to wait more than an hour to make a reservation, had food that made me vomit several times (burgers) and drinks tasted like water, at least the store looked okay (nice icons)

The Middle East Burger was inedible and sickening. The meat was cold and the various ingredients didn't go well with the burger. Drinks were forgotten otherwise the service was good and friendly. The ambience was nice, lots of lights, trees etc. After the burger we all had a stomach ache. I wouldn't recommend it 0/10

The ambience is nice. The operation is neither positive nor negative. But the food isn't worth the price. The Middle East burger with a cold bun was not enjoyable except for the notes of cumin and was mushy. The fries were inadequate and not completely cooked for €6.50. If it's on the menu, it should be fine. There is much better in Berlin.

We had the pleasure of visiting LAWRENCE today and were completely impressed. The interior is warm and inviting, with a charming oriental flair that invites you to explore. We tried the falafel plate and the shish taouk - both dishes were wonderfully fresh and lovingly prepared. The taste was simply excellent and the portion size was perfect. The meal was accompanied by aromatic herbal tea, refreshing water and an intense Arabic mocha. The service was also extremely friendly and attentive. We will definitely recommend the restaurant!

Völlig überteuert, Essen nicht frisch, kein Geschnack! Gläser schmutzig, laute und überhaupt nicht passende Musik durch einen „DJ“. Das war wirklich enttäuschend.

Completely overpriced, finished products, dirty glasses! Unfortunately that was very disappointing.

Schönes Ambiente. Geschmacklich solides Essen. Der Service war zu Beginn etwas unaufmerksam, obwohl wir der einzige besetzte Tisch waren. Muß man nicht hin, man macht aber auch nicht wirklich etwas falsch, wenn man es tut. Dank netter Gesellschaft hatten wir einen schönen Abend.

It’s a bit disappointing because the restaurant itself is very nice, but the food is terrible and quite expensive. The service is also lacking a bit of, well service. If you want to pay by card, it’s difficult.

Great atmosphere, ok food, €2 tap water 🫢 —— Update: funny that the owner replied that I should check the menu first (which I did, that’s why I didn’t ask for tap water) and that nothing is for free in Germany (lol), there are many restaurants that offer free tap water. Needless to say the food is super expensive and not good. So to charge for tap water is super greedy. The waitress even hesitated giving us ketchup for the burger. Anyways, we will not be coming back to this restaurant.

We booked the restaurant based on the good reviews online and were really looking forward to the food. When we arrived at the restaurant on Friday evening, we were the only ones in the restaurant. Oh dear! We then got a nice seat in a great atmosphere, but it was far too cold so we had to keep our jackets on. But whatever, we thought and looked forward to eating. The FOOD was relatively expensive, but OK if it's high quality and tasty, very, very happy! Unfortunately, the impression that the place was cheap turned out to be true, because the FOOD was just like that. Warmed up and not GOOD. Too bad...!!! Not recommended, considering what great restaurants Berlin has to offer.

Highly recommended for drinks and ambience, unfortunately less so for warm food. I was with someone for dinner. The beautiful ambience and lighting atmosphere were immediately appealing. The planned musical accompaniment with live soul and jazz music also appealed to us directly. For dinner I ordered a Middle Eastern burger with additional fries to go with the burger. Unfortunately, when it was brought to our table it was already cold and the roll was completely soggy. There were no dips with the €6 fries. Spices and salt on the fries were also missing. In general, spices are used somewhat sparingly, which was also noticed negatively in the starters, which I can partly understand, but no savings were made in the cocktails. The cold starters (except for the hummus) could also have used a bit more spices. I had a Damascus Mule which had a nice spiciness and spice, which I unfortunately completely missed in the starter and main course. The wine selection is also very positive, both white and red wine were very tasty. After dinner you could enjoy your drinks and listen to the beautiful voice of the musician. However, reordering drinks was a little more difficult with the three-person staff appearing somewhat scattered and the bar not being very busy. Paying at the end also presented an unforeseen problem for the waiters. There was a brief confusion as to how payment should work separately, once in cash and once by card. The tip then also unintentionally increased again due to the lack of change on the part of the waiter:In, as the waiter:In “unfortunately didn’t have it” and couldn’t offer any alternative solution to 3 waiters. Well, it's a shame... so the evening with the great ambience, the beautiful music and the good drinks was remembered with a "taste" that was largely missing from the food.

Super delicious food in a nice atmosphere. We had a small celebration with a family-style dinner at Lawrence and it was just perfect, delicious vegan/vegetarian and something for everyone. Thanks for the great evening Bashar & team.

Instead of asking why I was so dissatisfied, I was simply told to "leave you alone." This is not how you deal with constructive criticism! The reason for my rating was that the food was not tasty and the excessive use of "cilantro" made the dish inedible. When I mentioned this very nicely and quietly to your staff on site, I wasn't even offered a solution - instead they just said: "This is what we have prepared for you". This is how you leave a restaurant hungry and disappointed. You also mention that you “don’t pay to have bad reviews on Google deleted.” Don't worry you have to spend money on it, I will remove my review myself after you get this message. I would have liked you to be open to feedback and respond appropriately to legitimate criticism. A professional answer would have been a first step. Best regards, Masoud Aqil

Quiet ambience with pleasant, quiet lounge music. I was served very friendly. The staff speaks several languages. The food (matzo) was very tasty and I was also able to drink a mocha there. I can highly recommend the restaurant and will come again when I am in Berlin again.

The idea, even the recipes could be good. But.. the cook is afraid to use the typical herbs.. the food tastes VERY flat and the meat was dry as hell 🙃

Randomly popped in on a Sunday evening. The ambience, decor and soft backround piano music makes it a place you can unwind and recharge after a hectic week. I’ve had a Middle East Burger - it was ok, and perhaps a bit pricey, next time I’ll probably try some other dish. Staff is super nice:)

An environment where you will feel the warmth and sincerity thanks to the employees. They made a wedding anniversary gesture, it was very nice. Cocktail live music is great.

UPD the only goal of this review is for you to update the opening hours here so others will not end up staying at the closed door at 12 pm or having no food till 3 pm. People should be informed here (where they read that) and not by emailing you. --- It says "open from 12:00" but it's not. Our company of 7 people came at 12:00 and it was closed When we sent an email to book a table, answer was "kitchen is open from 15:00” Update info in Google maps to avoid misleading the people

We ate and drank in Lawrence with 50 (registered) people. After 5 draft beers there was no beer at all! With the result that only long drinks and wine were available at “Berlin prices”! The service was simply overwhelmed by the number of people (as a reminder: they had been registered for weeks). The food was okay, but here too it took a while until EVERYONE had their food. Overall disappointing - based on the previous very good reviews. Recommendation: Better preparation because it can be planned.

Please save your hard-earned money and go elsewhere. Awful service, despite being the only person in the restaurant. Worst (and most expensive) hummus + pitta I’ve ever had. Such a pity because it is well located and the decor is beautiful!

Did not meet our expectations. Quality of ingredients was mostly really good. Service lacked attentiveness. Atmosphere and presentation absolutely fabulous. Size of portions acceptable but really on the lower end. If you want a great place to meet with friends it really can impress (but you better take the bill).

The food was incredibly good, definitely a must-try in Berlin! Also super nice interior and very friendly staff. Make sure to try the falafel.

Terrible service. Empty cafe and yet a 20-minute wait. They offered a table only in the far corner because supposedly everything was reserved. I really don't recommend it.

The service was friendly, but only one person and very slow. Drinks came not at the same time. The start-up platter was nice, but nothing special The main courses were Small portions and not very tasty. Overall, totally overpriced tourist trap

We were there with a group - service & drinks took forever. The drinks for the group came 10 minutes apart. Shared matzah plates were delicious - it didn't give the impression of homemade pastes. Main courses lukewarm-cold, small portions, gave the impression of convenience ingredients. Overall, a proud bill and disappointed guests. No recommendation!

A wonderful restaurant and excellent cuisine, we will definitely come again and recommend it to friends. Special thanks to the guy Nikita for the good service.

Rarely have we eaten so well - in a pleasant atmosphere with very attentive and unobtrusive service. The S1 stops right in front of the door - very good and convenient transport connections.

Dry and boring food. Not worth the money. There were some good messes but overall not great. In any case, the venue was cozy and the staff pleasant.

A friend introduced me to this restaurant, which is one of his favourites. It is owned and run by a Syrian refugee and focus a number of Syrian and other Arab dishes with which I'm unfamiliar. My appetizer was Muhamara, Paprika paste made from sesame, black cumin, walnuts, pomegranate molasses and couscous. My main course was Fete Al-Magdous, baby eggplant filled with minced lamb, yoghurt sauce and tomato sauce. Both were excellent. The location is good; the service friendly and competent.

fantastic, delicious food, good & varied! You can get full at a good price. Fascinating ambience, clean and nice service. The terrace is cozy, outside or inside. Suitable for family, friends, groups, couples and.....etc I recommend everyone to go there for lunch, dinner, not only food but also beer, wine, cocktails without and with alcohol 😋 Have fun in Lawrence 🎉

We spontaneously chose this restaurant, attracted by its visually appealing exterior and an interesting menu. Knowledge of the day? Appearances aren't everything! What can I say? The portion of my main course seemed to have settled on a secret diet - small enough to pass as an appetizer. Unfortunately, the quality lacked the wow factor to justify the price of 20 euros. Our waitress was very friendly and even sat near us during her smoke break.

Tourist trap. They even charge you for tap water! It's written on the menu, but of course I do not check the entire menu before ordering a glas of tap water along with the wine. And then the waiter started a long discussion and insisted on paying.

If you appreciate a fine and authentic arabic cuisine, et voilà, you are in the right place. A well chosen mix of syrian, lebanese and kurdish cookery. You‘ll love it!

Lovely waiters, really great service but the cocktails are not recommended. Margarita was too sweet and dirty vodka martini was half empty and not made correctly.

Cheapest wine: €10.50 for 0.2l Antialk: 0.15l mint with hot water €5, beer: cheaper at DB If you want to make a living from passing tourist customers: there you go. For regular business trips to B: no thanks, for Berliners I don't even want to ask

We found the atmosphere and the musicians to be very pleasant. The food was fundamentally solid, the starters were very good (Syrian potatoes & hummus), but one of the main courses was already cold (warm dish) and the chicken in the other dishes was very tough and dry. What we really had to complain about was the service... Not particularly friendly and extremely slow & inattentive. You had to spend at least 30 minutes each time. Waiting for the drinks, empty glasses were only cleared away when asked and no one asked if you would like to order anything else. The restaurant was about 1/3 full throughout the evening and there were enough staff. And there's also the request in the menu that you should reward the service staff generously with tips... Yes, we are generally very happy and very generous, but the service has to be right! Especially because the prices are so reasonable. Conclusion: Nice restaurant, but with a lot of room for improvement in the service

Unfortunately, service was very slow, with some language barriers, and zero attentiveness, even though it wasn't really full. The food, on the other hand, was terrific, as was the musician 👌🏻

I got the Shish Touk! Let me tell thats not it. Absolutely zero marination on chicken. Very very very dried out chicken. The only flavour was in the garlic sauce! Price does NOT make sense.

Terrible experience, worst possible service, atrocious and insulting replica to this culture and their cuisine, lack of seasoning used on the food, absolutely positively unacceptable dry rice, and the arrogance behind this failing restaurant is astonishing. I give it maximum two years before is fails, best of luck.

Waiter was rude, inattentive and forgot a drink, 3 desserts, overall lackluster experience with staff and food being bland. Not worth the expensive price tag $$$. Wouldn’t not come back.
