LAWRENCE berlin mitte service quality is really very good.

We ate and drank in Lawrence with 50 (registered) people. After 5 draft beers there was no beer at all! With the result that only long drinks and wine were available at “Berlin prices”! The service was simply overwhelmed by the number of people (as a reminder: they had been registered for weeks). The food was okay, but here too it took a while until EVERYONE had their food. Overall disappointing - based on the previous very good reviews. Recommendation: Better preparation because it can be planned.

Please save your hard-earned money and go elsewhere. Awful service, despite being the only person in the restaurant. Worst (and most expensive) hummus + pitta I’ve ever had. Such a pity because it is well located and the decor is beautiful!

Did not meet our expectations. Quality of ingredients was mostly really good. Service lacked attentiveness. Atmosphere and presentation absolutely fabulous. Size of portions acceptable but really on the lower end. If you want a great place to meet with friends it really can impress (but you better take the bill).

Terrible service. Empty cafe and yet a 20-minute wait. They offered a table only in the far corner because supposedly everything was reserved. I really don't recommend it.

We were there with a group - service & drinks took forever. The drinks for the group came 10 minutes apart. Shared matzah plates were delicious - it didn't give the impression of homemade pastes. Main courses lukewarm-cold, small portions, gave the impression of convenience ingredients. Overall, a proud bill and disappointed guests. No recommendation!

Rarely have we eaten so well - in a pleasant atmosphere with very attentive and unobtrusive service. The S1 stops right in front of the door - very good and convenient transport connections.

Dry and boring food. Not worth the money. There were some good messes but overall not great. In any case, the venue was cozy and the staff pleasant.

A friend introduced me to this restaurant, which is one of his favourites. It is owned and run by a Syrian refugee and focus a number of Syrian and other Arab dishes with which I'm unfamiliar. My appetizer was Muhamara, Paprika paste made from sesame, black cumin, walnuts, pomegranate molasses and couscous. My main course was Fete Al-Magdous, baby eggplant filled with minced lamb, yoghurt sauce and tomato sauce. Both were excellent. The location is good; the service friendly and competent.

We spontaneously chose this restaurant, attracted by its visually appealing exterior and an interesting menu. Knowledge of the day? Appearances aren't everything! What can I say? The portion of my main course seemed to have settled on a secret diet - small enough to pass as an appetizer. Unfortunately, the quality lacked the wow factor to justify the price of 20 euros. Our waitress was very friendly and even sat near us during her smoke break.

fantastic, delicious food, good & varied! You can get full at a good price. Fascinating ambience, clean and nice service. The terrace is cozy, outside or inside. Suitable for family, friends, groups, couples and.....etc I recommend everyone to go there for lunch, dinner, not only food but also beer, wine, cocktails without and with alcohol 😋 Have fun in Lawrence 🎉

Tourist trap. They even charge you for tap water! It's written on the menu, but of course I do not check the entire menu before ordering a glas of tap water along with the wine. And then the waiter started a long discussion and insisted on paying.

Tourist trap. Meals are very expensive and felt like frozen convenience products. Would not recommend to anyone. For the 30€ you'll end up paying you can easily get a lunch menu at an upscale restaurant. Don't go here.

If you appreciate a fine and authentic arabic cuisine, et voilà, you are in the right place. A well chosen mix of syrian, lebanese and kurdish cookery. You‘ll love it!

Lovely waiters, really great service but the cocktails are not recommended. Margarita was too sweet and dirty vodka martini was half empty and not made correctly.

For regular business trips to B: no thanks, for Berliners I don't even want to ask

Lovely restaurant with excellent food. Not too busy when we were there, but reservations were coming in. We also liked the peaceful decor and atmosphere.

Unfortunately, service was very slow, with some language barriers, and zero attentiveness, even though it wasn't really full. The food, on the other hand, was terrific, as was the musician 👌🏻

We found the atmosphere and the musicians to be very pleasant. The food was fundamentally solid, the starters were very good (Syrian potatoes & hummus), but one of the main courses was already cold (warm dish) and the chicken in the other dishes was very tough and dry. What we really had to complain about was the service... Not particularly friendly and extremely slow & inattentive. You had to spend at least 30 minutes each time. Waiting for the drinks, empty glasses were only cleared away when asked and no one asked if you would like to order anything else. The restaurant was about 1/3 full throughout the evening and there were enough staff. And there's also the request in the menu that you should reward the service staff generously with tips... Yes, we are generally very happy and very generous, but the service has to be right! Especially because the prices are so reasonable. Conclusion: Nice restaurant, but with a lot of room for improvement in the service

I got the Shish Touk! Let me tell thats not it. Absolutely zero marination on chicken. Very very very dried out chicken. The only flavour was in the garlic sauce! Price does NOT make sense.

Waiter was rude, inattentive and forgot a drink, 3 desserts, overall lackluster experience with staff and food being bland. Not worth the expensive price tag $$$. Wouldn’t not come back.

Terrible experience, worst possible service, atrocious and insulting replica to this culture and their cuisine, lack of seasoning used on the food, absolutely positively unacceptable dry rice, and the arrogance behind this failing restaurant is astonishing. I give it maximum two years before is fails, best of luck.

Nice restaurant just had a drink

The starter plate for two people costs an unbelievable 74.50 euros, which cannot be justified under any circumstances. In terms of content it was okay, but nothing more. The crowd was good but not huge. No wonder the place was empty - total baggage on the tourist mile. The waitress also didn't want to bring us fresh cutlery with the main course.

Staff was incredibly friendly. They even let me practice my German with them which was very kind. Food and coffee was great. I would go back.

A restaurant that I have enjoyed going to so far: interestingly prepared meals, unusual ambience, mostly tasty. Unfortunately, it has always been quite expensive. This time totally disappointed: only English-speaking service, prices increased again (hardly a main course under 25 €), wine extremely expensive), service inattentive, small portions, incredibly loud groups, so that a quiet conversation was not possible. Highlight: when paying, I gave a €3 tip, whereupon the waitress (again in English) asked me to pay one more euro. I have never witnessed anything like this. It's a shame, Lawrence won't see me again.

A visually appealing store with live music, unfortunately the rest couldn't keep up at all. The falafel plate, for example, came without rice and consisted of 6 individual, dry falafels with a few vegetables (for €22.50). The prices generally made little sense. A wine spritzer cost €11.50, the same as straight wine. Overall, the portions were too small for the price. Paying at the end was also difficult.

There is a live show where you can sing along and there is a very good atmosphere

The place extremely overpriced compared to the service and food you receive! We ordered kabab and shisha taouk. Kabab didnt look like kabab but meatballs. It was not delicious, neither was shisha taouk. I am from the country of best kebabs and this was by far the worst! Waiter didnt bring bread with our orders even though it is in the menu and she said “oh I didnt know it was mentioned there. Other customers have never asked for it before”.. Come on.

Delicious food and great atmosphere. Personally, I would put maybe two fewer falafels on the falafel plate and instead put more salad/vegetables on the plate.

Absolutely overpriced restaurant where the food doesn't come close to the price level! Example: a few unseasoned potato quarters €12! They also wanted to force us to pay in cash.

There were five of us all there for the first time and we ordered different dishes so we could try each other's food. Overall, the food was extremely disappointing and not comparable to oriental cuisine! My Arabic pan was served lukewarm, rather cold! Bad taste! I had thawed vegetables and they cost over €20, super cheeky! When I pointed out to the waiter that the food was lukewarm to cold, he disappeared into the kitchen and then came to our table with the waitress who had brought us the food and asked her if the food was actually cold? ! Apparently he didn't believe me. She didn't know how to answer and I realized that from this point on it would be pointless to argue with him since he didn't seem to have a clue about good service. He apologized casually and disappeared. There wasn't even a drink on the house, let alone the offer to choose something else from the menu. The others' food was also disappointing. Here you save on spices and good oil, the hummus tastes like nothing and is overall quite bland and bland. We also had to constantly call the service staff to order something else. The store was almost empty around 8 p.m. (now I know why) and yet the staff didn't see the need to check that everything was going. What kind of service is this?! Apparently it's a place that's supposed to attract unknowing tourists in Mitte who will probably never open it again anyway. Worst experience ever, therefore definitely not recommended.

Very nice restaurant, food nothing exciting (chicken with dates very good but mezze starter was just a small plate of sauces that wasn't even presented to us). We have lived a lot in Neukölln and there are much more authentic restaurants offering Middle Eastern cuisine. I find it absurd that you STILL can't pay by card. Service: Despite the reservation for 5 with specification via email of the presence of children and stroller, upon arrival they were only waiting for 2 people...🤷‍♀️ We felt a little bit special because the children dropped some food on the floor (all of which we promptly collected) and the person in charge was clearly annoyed by our presence, so I would say the place is not really suitable for families.

I had a terrible experience, staff not friendly at all, didn't explain the dish of the day and asked us to go out in the rain and read the sign. The food was bad, vegetables not well cooked, not tasty and very small. During lunch time most of the restaurants on that area are full, this was empty and now I get why. It's a shame because the place is cozy, I highly recommend the owner train better the staff and change the menu, Arabic food is good to be represented so poorly.

I was here with a larger group and, apart from the starter, I was very disappointed with the taste of the food. I cannot recommend the restaurant.

We really enjoyed our meal here. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly and the the decor and atmosphere are lovely. Also, the staff all spoke English which was helpful as not everyone in our group spoke German. However the service and delivery of the food was very slow, especially considering the restaurant was quiet.

Ein großartiges, arabisches Restaurant mit tollem Konzept. Wir haben verschiedene Gerichte aus der Speisekarte durchprobiert, alles war sehr lecker mit orientalischem Gewürzerlebnis .Unbedingt die Vorspeisen probieren! Der Mazzateller und die Lammspieße waren auch sehr fein. Sehr aufmerksamer Service! Ein Highlight in Berlin!
