The food itself was ok, but everything else was on the annoying side. The waitress first had to look for a seat in the almost empty restaurant, which didn't fill up throughout the evening. I didn't understand a single word she said anyway, even though my companion said it was probably bad English with a heavy Russian accent. In any case, I couldn't identify it as English. The menu begs for a tip right from the start. The operator is free to pay reasonable wages even above the minimum wage! I usually always give something, but tips are just that, not a replacement for wages. Begging for it right from the start, even before any performance has taken place, is the bottom drawer. Dishes ordered from the menu did not exist. The difficult communication was not particularly helpful in the re-election. Paying by card or cash didn't seem to work? I didn't understand her, she left a chip on the table and just left. My companion then paid via app. Google asked about the ambience. That corresponded to an average (but empty) Berlin cocktail bar. All in all, an unpleasant place.

Very nice restaurant to enjoy oriental cuisine with super friendly staff and an excellent ambience. I can only recommend it to everyone.

Delicious. Atmospheric. The service is a special delight. The staff is unobtrusive, the waiters are smiling and helped you choose something to suit your mood. I especially liked the moussaka! The place fully met our expectations, so we will definitely come back!

The food was tasty, but at these prices, I was expecting a little more oomph. I had the Dajaj min Al-jabal—chicken breast stuffed with dates and pistachios, served with seasonal veggies and a creamy feta sauce. Fantastic idea, but the chicken was a bit on the dry side, and the veggies were softer than a backpacker after their first Berlin winter. Now, let’s talk prices. My dish was 25€, my mate’s was 29€, and honestly, you can find similar quality for around 15€ in other parts of Berlin. But the real eyebrow-raiser? The wine. We had the Classic Sauvignon Blanc from Barkan Cellars—nice enough drop, but at 39,50€ a bottle, I nearly asked if it came with shares in the vineyard. A quick Google later, turns out it retails for 6€. That’s a 558% markup! Even by restaurant wine standards, that’s some Olympic-level price hiking. All in all, a solid meal with great flavors, but the value for money needs a bit of a tune-up. Would I come back? probably not.

I walked in for a coffee and chose the Arab Mocha! It was one of the best coffees I’ve ever had! The atmosphere is peaceful , calm and beautiful! Agripina is a lovely hostess. Kind, patient and helpful. I hope to make it back for a meal before I leave Berlin! Thank you so much!

We had a reservation for a business dinner with 18 people. Many had the salmon dish, it was subpar, I've never had such a bad meal, even though we were given a special menu, my drink was forgotten and the portions are tiny for the price. My piece of salmon was also tiny, not fresh and hard like cardboard. I was very disappointed and so were some of my colleagues. No recommendations from me, and the nice atmosphere doesn't make up for it.

We spontaneously went out to dinner at Lawrence's and had a great evening. The food and drinks were delicious and we were served very friendly. It was a Saturday evening and a DJ was playing, which created a pleasant atmosphere.

It's a type of cuisine that you have to like, but I have to say that I ate really well. Very good lentil soup and the cauliflower wasn't bad either. It's not a cheap place but I definitely recommend the experience, enriched by a very good artist who played live.

Oh well. The ambience in the front area of ​​the restaurant is nice, the bar at the back is nice. I found red grave candles on the tables (those candles in glass that you sometimes use outside because of the wind) to be stylish. The hummus was very good, the matzah plate was good. The bread was bland and cold. The service barely uttered a word, no facial expressions, you only saw a smile after the tip. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Schöner Eingang und nett dekoriert. Empfangsmitarbeiterin hat unsere Reservierung auf ihrem Tablet nicht gefunden, bis wir speziell auf OpenTable hingewiesen haben. Essen recht hochpreisig angesetzt (z.B. €22 für einen vegetarischen Vorspeisenteller für 1 Person). Hauptspeise war gut aber nicht üppig, man sollte sich Beilagen dazu oder ein ganzes Komplett-Menu bestellen, um wirklich satt zu werden. Die Weine waren nicht wirklich gut. Am Telefon wird behauptet, nur EC-Karte und Bargeld werden akzeptiert. Jedoch war Kreditkartenzahlung am Ende doch möglich. Insgesamt ein netter Abend gewesen aber für orientalisches Essen in Berlin werden wir bei diesen hohen Preisen und dem eher unbeholfenen Servicepersonal nicht nochmal hierher kommen.

Después de reservar esto hace más de un mes y a 40 minutos a pie para llegar estábamos bastante destripados para encontrar 2 elementos principales en el menú principal no disponible. No hay razón o disculpa dada - simplemente no disponible. Reservamos a través de la aplicación Mesa Abierta no nos registraron a la llegada, así que tuvimos que confirmar con la aplicación que realmente asistimos a nuestra reserva. Pedimos (en términos básicos) 1 x kebab deconstruido 1 x pizza y 1 x botella de vino tinto y costó más de 99 € con CERO servicio al cliente! Después de la comida para colmo, anunciaron que solo aceptaban efectivo. Este restaurante necesita un gerente que tenga la atención al cliente en primer lugar en su agenda y quizás se replantee su menú (o incluso chef). ¡Uno para EVITAR, me temo!

I had a small soup of pureed red lentils - tasty, but nothing special, apart from the price - ten euros! There was no bread, just an egg cup full of chips and half a lemon. I thought it was overpriced. The service staff tried hard. Overall, a disappointing visit to the restaurant.

We were there solely for the atmosphere and drinks. Therefore, I can’t say anything about the food, unfortunately. I definitely give 5 stars for the incredibly cozy atmosphere, location (right next to the metro), very, very good service! The waiter guy was very friendly. The food prices seemed overpriced. I would gladly come back again.

We went to the bar for a few drinks. When one of us wanted to order a coffee, we were told there was no more and no water either. Two minutes later, the same service worker was sitting at the bar, drinking a coffee and looking provocatively at my friend, who also wanted one. Guys, service is really different. The second service person who brought the drinks was very nice and even brought us the water we requested. Later it was said that you couldn't pay with a card, it would be written outside (it wasn't). It was ok for a nightcap, but we won't be coming back again

I was there with a school class, the meal took 1 hour, the food was cold and the combination of ingredients on the burger were pretty inedible. The drinks consisted mostly of ice cubes and people were forgotten to serve them. The ambience, however, was very good.

The ambience is nice. The operation is neither positive nor negative. But the food isn't worth the price. The Middle East burger with a cold bun was not enjoyable except for the notes of cumin and was mushy. The fries were inadequate and not completely cooked for €6.50. If it's on the menu, it should be fine. There is much better in Berlin.

We had the pleasure of visiting LAWRENCE today and were completely impressed. The interior is warm and inviting, with a charming oriental flair that invites you to explore. We tried the falafel plate and the shish taouk - both dishes were wonderfully fresh and lovingly prepared. The taste was simply excellent and the portion size was perfect. The meal was accompanied by aromatic herbal tea, refreshing water and an intense Arabic mocha. The service was also extremely friendly and attentive. We will definitely recommend the restaurant!

Völlig überteuert, Essen nicht frisch, kein Geschnack! Gläser schmutzig, laute und überhaupt nicht passende Musik durch einen „DJ“. Das war wirklich enttäuschend.

Schönes Ambiente. Geschmacklich solides Essen. Der Service war zu Beginn etwas unaufmerksam, obwohl wir der einzige besetzte Tisch waren. Muß man nicht hin, man macht aber auch nicht wirklich etwas falsch, wenn man es tut. Dank netter Gesellschaft hatten wir einen schönen Abend.

It’s a bit disappointing because the restaurant itself is very nice, but the food is terrible and quite expensive. The service is also lacking a bit of, well service. If you want to pay by card, it’s difficult.

Great atmosphere, ok food, €2 tap water 🫢 —— Update: funny that the owner replied that I should check the menu first (which I did, that’s why I didn’t ask for tap water) and that nothing is for free in Germany (lol), there are many restaurants that offer free tap water. Needless to say the food is super expensive and not good. So to charge for tap water is super greedy. The waitress even hesitated giving us ketchup for the burger. Anyways, we will not be coming back to this restaurant.

We booked the restaurant based on the good reviews online and were really looking forward to the food. When we arrived at the restaurant on Friday evening, we were the only ones in the restaurant. Oh dear! We then got a nice seat in a great atmosphere, but it was far too cold so we had to keep our jackets on. But whatever, we thought and looked forward to eating. The FOOD was relatively expensive, but OK if it's high quality and tasty, very, very happy! Unfortunately, the impression that the place was cheap turned out to be true, because the FOOD was just like that. Warmed up and not GOOD. Too bad...!!! Not recommended, considering what great restaurants Berlin has to offer.

Highly recommended for drinks and ambience, unfortunately less so for warm food. I was with someone for dinner. The beautiful ambience and lighting atmosphere were immediately appealing. The planned musical accompaniment with live soul and jazz music also appealed to us directly. For dinner I ordered a Middle Eastern burger with additional fries to go with the burger. Unfortunately, when it was brought to our table it was already cold and the roll was completely soggy. There were no dips with the €6 fries. Spices and salt on the fries were also missing. In general, spices are used somewhat sparingly, which was also noticed negatively in the starters, which I can partly understand, but no savings were made in the cocktails. The cold starters (except for the hummus) could also have used a bit more spices. I had a Damascus Mule which had a nice spiciness and spice, which I unfortunately completely missed in the starter and main course. The wine selection is also very positive, both white and red wine were very tasty. After dinner you could enjoy your drinks and listen to the beautiful voice of the musician. However, reordering drinks was a little more difficult with the three-person staff appearing somewhat scattered and the bar not being very busy. Paying at the end also presented an unforeseen problem for the waiters. There was a brief confusion as to how payment should work separately, once in cash and once by card. The tip then also unintentionally increased again due to the lack of change on the part of the waiter:In, as the waiter:In “unfortunately didn’t have it” and couldn’t offer any alternative solution to 3 waiters. Well, it's a shame... so the evening with the great ambience, the beautiful music and the good drinks was remembered with a "taste" that was largely missing from the food.

Super delicious food in a nice atmosphere. We had a small celebration with a family-style dinner at Lawrence and it was just perfect, delicious vegan/vegetarian and something for everyone. Thanks for the great evening Bashar & team.

Instead of asking why I was so dissatisfied, I was simply told to "leave you alone." This is not how you deal with constructive criticism! The reason for my rating was that the food was not tasty and the excessive use of "cilantro" made the dish inedible. When I mentioned this very nicely and quietly to your staff on site, I wasn't even offered a solution - instead they just said: "This is what we have prepared for you". This is how you leave a restaurant hungry and disappointed. You also mention that you “don’t pay to have bad reviews on Google deleted.” Don't worry you have to spend money on it, I will remove my review myself after you get this message. Quiet ambience with pleasant, quiet lounge music. I was served very friendly. The staff speaks several languages. The food (matzo) was very tasty and I was also able to drink a mocha there. I can highly recommend the restaurant and will come again when I am in Berlin again.

The idea, even the recipes could be good. But.. the cook is afraid to use the typical herbs.. the food tastes VERY flat and the meat was dry as hell 🙃

Randomly popped in on a Sunday evening. The ambience, decor and soft backround piano music makes it a place you can unwind and recharge after a hectic week. I’ve had a Middle East Burger - it was ok, and perhaps a bit pricey, next time I’ll probably try some other dish. Staff is super nice:)

UPD the only goal of this review is for you to update the opening hours here so others will not end up staying at the closed door at 12 pm or having no food till 3 pm. People should be informed here (where they read that) and not by emailing you. --- It says "open from 12:00" but it's not. Our company of 7 people came at 12:00 and it was closed When we sent an email to book a table, answer was "kitchen is open from 15:00” Update info in Google maps to avoid misleading the people

We ate and drank in Lawrence with 50 (registered) people. After 5 draft beers there was no beer at all! With the result that only long drinks and wine were available at “Berlin prices”! The service was simply overwhelmed by the number of people (as a reminder: they had been registered for weeks). The food was okay, but here too it took a while until EVERYONE had their food. Overall disappointing - based on the previous very good reviews. Recommendation: Better preparation because it can be planned.

Please save your hard-earned money and go elsewhere. Awful service, despite being the only person in the restaurant. Worst (and most expensive) hummus + pitta I’ve ever had. Such a pity because it is well located and the decor is beautiful!

Did not meet our expectations. Quality of ingredients was mostly really good. Service lacked attentiveness. Atmosphere and presentation absolutely fabulous. Size of portions acceptable but really on the lower end. If you want a great place to meet with friends it really can impress (but you better take the bill).

We were there with a group - service & drinks took forever. The drinks for the group came 10 minutes apart. Shared matzah plates were delicious - it didn't give the impression of homemade pastes. Main courses lukewarm-cold, small portions, gave the impression of convenience ingredients. Overall, a proud bill and disappointed guests. No recommendation!
