We were here with a larger group on Saturday evening and were given a set menu, asked about allergies and then served various dishes. The food was the best I've eaten in Berlin in a long time and the service was extremely friendly! The selection of vegetarian dishes was great and I can also highly recommend the homemade mint lemonade! A new favorite restaurant for me.

The restaurant is nice if you sit in the upper part. The service is friendly. Unfortunately, I found the food to be far too bland and a bit overpriced. I wish I could give more stars. But the rice was tasteless and the fries were soggy. Unfortunately, the food was completely cold after just 10 minutes. The quality of the meat was good, but that's what I expect for €26 for 3 pieces.

Unbelievable Treatment and absolute scam. To charge 50 euros per head as a minimum consumption fee is absolutely ridiculous for the type of food, service and location. Overpriced to say the least, you can find equally good food all around neukölln for a fifth of the price. - and there they won't make you pay more than what you're going to be eating.

We got a table near the stairs, not the best one, but I did not bother. The food was delicious, as Lebanese cuisine in general. We also got Lebanese red wine, which was good to accompany the food. The personal was very friendly and gave good food recommendations. The prices are on a higher range, but it’s worth it.

The two of us had dinner here yesterday. The restaurant made a good impression right from the start, the outside area is clean and you are greeted at the door. The waiter was extremely courteous and offered us a table upgrade. The menu is clear, the only drawback is the box at the top left which describes how many dishes are suitable for how many people. This is written in very small letters and is probably difficult to read for older people. Otherwise, the menu is very clear and the dishes are well selected. We chose a variety of baba ganoush, falafel, vegan kibbeh, vegan shawarma, grilled halloumi and pickled cucumbers with olives. The dishes were excellently prepared and the taste was more than just excellent! However, we could easily have done without a meal, as the bread served also fills us up. Next time we would also add the cauliflower, which also looked very delicious. When it comes to drinks, there is definitely an extensive wine list and various other drinks. Unfortunately, non-alcoholic beer is not listed but is available in the form of a Hefeweizen. All in all, the service was more than satisfactory and our waiter took care of all our needs. He also always had the answer ready if you weren't sure whether a dish would suit your taste. Ultimately, the ambience is well chosen, the bar is a good eye-catcher and the layout of the room is very clear. We would be happy to come back here and let our palate be pampered again next time.

This place is a gem. The delicious, fresh food was served with a smile. Would highly recommend trying their falafel, classic hummus and the mixed grill platter. Restaurant itself is quite small, so would recommend reserving a table ahead of time.

Simsim Levantine eastery - An impressive experience in oriental-Levantine cuisine - A visit to an oriental-Levantine restaurant offered an unforgettable culinary experience. As soon as you entered, you were impressed by the warm ambience with typical decoration, soft lighting and pleasant music. The menu impressed with traditional dishes like hummus and baba ghanoush, served fresh and full of flavors. Particularly noteworthy was the attentive and friendly service, which perfectly reflected the hospitality of oriental culture. The food is very good and probably some of the best hummus in Prenzlauer Berg. I would recommend booking a table via phone to avoid giving your credit card online. The only downside for me is that their kitchen closes very early for dinner, so a reservation at 20h30 translates into having the food arriving on your table and the staff asking if anything else is desired because they are closing the kitchen. Card payments possible although sometimes it seems the machine/network is not working

Food ok, but rather average for the price level. There are much better restaurants in Berlin. The chicken, which was supposed to be cooked for 48 hours with a marinade, tasted like an average chicken from the pan at home and was completely unspectacular, so we were a little disappointed. It was also irritating that the food was on the table within 5 minutes of ordering, so it is questionable whether it was freshly prepared.

We walked by Sim Sim earlier in the afternoon and had a nice conversation w the waiter Amir. Amir was kind enough to discuss the restaurant w us even though we weren’t eating at that moment. He suggested a few plates to try after we looked at the menu. Amir made reservations for us later on that evening. We ordered the chicken, two types of shrimp w humus and potatoes and a salad. Amir had said the chicken was best and he was right! I’m thinking of having it again before departure.

Just had dinner and the food was delicious. Too bad service was not great. Waiter took our order it was delivered and never saw him again until he came by to say the kitchen will close soon. Yet we saw him catering to other tables. Not great customer service, too bad!

We had a nice evening at Simsim Levantine Eatery. The atmosphere is really nice & cozy. In summer you can also sit comfortably outside. The food was tasty but not exceptional in my opinion. The price-performance ratio wasn't right, especially with the vegan shawarma, especially since it cost just as much as the meat.

The food is good and freshly prepared but our experience was quite unpleasant and we will not return. We arrived without reservation, there were 8 of us and the service gave us two options, either a menu for €36 or a minimum consumption of €50 per person. We took the menu and the quantity was far too generous for big eaters. So we left the restaurant too full and having eaten too much. It's a shame to impose quantities...

The food was super tasty. The ambience both inside and outside is cozy and atmospheric. Unfortunately, the inattentive service marred the experience somewhat. We had reserved a table outside, but had to wait inside because there was no table available outside. We had to wait a long time for someone to come to us during each process. The menu didn't come for ages and then we had to wait another long time before we could order. And even after asking several times about the table outside, we were forgotten and sat inside all evening.

Unbelievable experience and service created by our waiter, Amir and finger-licking food! The mixed grill plate was a great way to test different dishes as recommended by our waiter. We can recommend the tabouleh, baba ganoush and hummus as appetizer, again recommended by Amir. We'd come back!

The food is quite expensive but OK and makes an effort to be authentic. The one star is for the fact that the boss (I'm assuming the gentleman with the laptop at the counter is the boss) has no problem talking about the guests in Arabic, but doesn't seem to have any idea that his guests are watching him could understand. It should be explicitly stated here again that the rating does not apply to the service.

Not cheap but worth it. Exceptionally friendly staff made as feel welcome from the start. We let them choose the meals for us and got a wonderful collection. Even the simplest dishes are distinctly better than elsewhere.

We spontaneously had dinner at Simsim. You can sit outside very nicely. The tables are a bit small for the many plates. You order several dishes. Similar to tapas. Everything was very tasty and we couldn't stop eating even though we were so full. The chicken grilled on the skewer was so tender and deliciously seasoned. The portions are good and you share everything. A great concept. The mint lemon lemonade was super refreshing. The waiters were always rotating and kept busy. We had to ask for the bill twice. But that was fine. There was also a lot going on. We liked it very much. We will be back!

100% worth a visit. Simply delicious and great atmosphere, plus very nice and courteous service. It's worth making a reservation in advance as the restaurant is always busy.

SimSim is and remains one of my favorite restaurants in Berlin! Everything is always fantastic!

La décoration de la salle est très réussie : on a véritablement l'impression d'être transporté au Proche Orient, grâce au mobilier, aux objets (lampes en métal martelé) et aux photos. Les serveurs sont sourants et efficaces. Tout ce que nous avons commandé était délicieux. J'ai particulièrement aimé les falafels, le poulet mariné accompagné de sauce yaourt et le kofta (viande hachée d'agneau et de boeuf). En dessert, il faut goûrt la glace à la gomme arabique, saveur vanille et rose, accompagnée de pistaches. Il faut absolument réserver pour avoir une table. Nous y retournerons lors de notre prochain séjour à Berlin.

The food was really excellent. The only thing that really shocked me was the high price. To fill yourself up you have to order some mezze. The two of us ended up with 80, - (including a glass of wine). But otherwise full 5 points.

Underwhelming and overpriced food. The tabule costed 12€ and it was mainly uneatable dry parsley. The food didn't taste fresh.

On a week-end trip to Berlin. Restaurant was a recommendation, would have gone otherwise. Very underwhelmed by the experience. The cold mezze choices we had were ok, the kebab casserole was unusual would not order again. Service was very slow and was billed for a drink that I did not order, which I am disappointed about. Staff were not keen that I paid the bill using a card..

This is one of a very few great Levantine restaurants in the city. The service is awesome, friendly and professional. Food is so good and fresh, and the atmosphere is very cozy.

Ho scoperto questo bellissimo ristorante grazie ad un amico che vive a Berlino. La cucina è una delicata esperienza di sapori e colori. Meravigliosi i felafel, meravigliosa la 'parmigiana di melanzane' allo yogurt, buonissime le polpettine morbide di melanzane con chicchi di melograno. Ti portano una cesta, la apri e trovi una fragrante focaccina al sesamo. Servizio gentilissimo e molto accogliente. Una nota speciale per i dolci: quel gelato al vaniglia e pistacchio non lo dimenticherò mai più. Consiglio di andare anche in bagno (è particolarissimo). Sembra davvero di trovarsi in Siria. Esperienza bellissima!

The food alone is five stars. I was surprised by how tasty every dish was. We had tabbouleh, mdardara, farooj and patatas harra. Only one complaint, the farooj was supposed to be boneless but contained a large wing bone. You also get one free pita per person which is good and it was also delicous. So why no 5 stars, as good as the food was, the restaurant needs to get all parts of the meal experience right. Yes it was busy and we had to wait for a short time to be seated, ordering was quick and the food didn't take long to arrive. The server checked in with us during the meal and we gave appreciative nods and commented on how great the food was. He told us that the kitchen was closing and asked us if we wanted to order more food. However that was the last we saw of him for 40 minutes. After we finished eating, nobody came to clear the table, it was impossible to catch a server's eye to order another drink. Eventually I had to go to the bar to ask to pay. After another 5 minutes our server appeared and said "You want to pay?" A great meal was spoiled by the sub-par service. I am ever the optimist so hopefully things will be better if I visit again.

Auf Empfehlung meines Sohnes besuchte ich das Simsim in Berlin. Ich war sehr enttäuscht und werde in diesem Restaurant nicht noch einmal essen. Der Service war schlecht, das Restaurant war kalt, die Speisen überteuert aber schmackhaft. Eine Speise wurde doppelt abgerechnet, welche mir dann aber erstattet wurde.

Based on the raving reviews I came to this place very excited but the reality was quite the letdown. The food is okay, but lacks real soul and is severely trumped by any dingy food cart in the middle east. If you are looking to spend this kind of money there are far more imaginative restaurants in Berlin, and I left feeling overcharged and disappointed. The portions were generous and the service was really friendly, but the flavor palate leaves a lot to be desired

We ordered several times online from home, and food quality and packaging was great! That is why we decided to go there. We reserved a table, the staff were very nice and friendly. The food was great as well. And authentic design. The only negative point was its business and loud noises of a table beside us. I think maybe it is less crowded during the week (we went on Saturday). All in all, I surely recommend this restaurant and we will visit again, but not on Saturday ;))

It's unique We loved the meeting.. Now Simsim has a very nice cozy new room (basement) its very good for private 🥳 parties . Took our food and enjoyed it. Service was wonderful 🌹😍❤😋

I had this place on my “wanna go” list for a long time and last week I finally made it. It met all my (high) expectations, everything was delicious, super friendly staff who accommodated us even without a reservation. I’ll definitely come back and try more dishes!

Best Mediterranean food in Berlin.

Food was good and tasting good but small portions for the price. Staff were not friendly and welcoming though. We were 4 people, ordered 2 hummus, one babaghanoush, 2 grill plates. They brought us just 4 very small pita breads. We asked for more bread and they brought 4 more. Then we got the bill and there were 5€ for 4 extra pita bread they brought us. I mean was it expected to eat all those hummus and grilled meats with only 4 small pita bread? Anyway it is not feeling nice if you have to pay more than 1€ for a small bread when the plate you ordered is more than 30€. Would not recommand this place to other people because so far was not a pleasant experience.

The food tastes good ( although I had better babaganoush before), however the portions are small for the price. On top of the pricey dishes, anytime you ask for extra bread, you need to pay. So they think each person is supposed to eat only 1 small piece of bread and any extra one would cost. Service was not good, and the atmosphere is nothing much different from other restaurants in Berlin, though the price is higher.

Wow! One of the best meals I’ve had here in Berlin. My wife and I enjoyed a lovely evening with some of the highest quality Arabic food west of the Middle East. Eating with a vegan can be tricky but the vegan shawarma platter was seasoned to perfection and the kibbeh was sensational. For myself, the 48-hour marinated chicken shish taouk was mouth watering and flavorful as was the labneh and halloumi (one very small suggestion: try adding honey to it ;) ). I regret not taking more pictures of our meals but if I can’t wait to come back to Simsim next time I’m in town. Although I’m sure by that time, this restaurant will have become a staple in Berlin and getting reservations will be a bit more tricky! Highly recommend this fantastic restaurant to both locals and tourists of Berlin!!!

Overall a very pleasant visit, I can recommend it for anyone who is looking for a middle eastern experience. The food was very good, served hot and a feast for the eyes. The portions were quite big as well, so instead of the recommended 3 side dishes we only ordered 2 per person and even that we couldn’t finish completely! They were also very accommodating when we had to reschedule our reservation last minute and could even add another person. You can pay both via cash or card, and restrooms are also very clean.

Amazing. Delicious food. Service is friendly and helpful. The whole place has a warm, inviting atmosphere. Feels like visiting family or old friends. The staff seem to sincerely enjoy themselves. When we hope to visit Berlin again, we will eat here another time for sure. There are more lovely dishes to try. Don't skip the artichoke salad. I don't know how they make it tastes good.

I ordered the same 3-5 dishes every week and the quality is ALWAYS CONSISTENT! Cooked to perfection everytime. Their takeaway/delivery is incredible which means dining at the restaurant is even better.

Sehr schwierig. Super schöne Eck-Location und nettes Personal, aber um satt zu werden gibt man hier pro Person 30-40 EUR aus. Und zwar nicht für außergewöhnliche Gericht. 4 Streifen Haloumi mit EINER! Scheibe Gurke anbei oder 4 mittelgroße Falafel auf Petersilie je 10-11 EUR. Es gibt eine Scheibe Brot pro Person inklusive, die zweite kostet 2,50 EUR. Ein Humus Dip dazu 6-10 EUR. Ein Fattoush Salat kommt in einer Müsli-Schale und kostet zweistellig. Eine kleine Schale frittierte Kartoffelwürfel 6 EUR. Man spürt leider keine Gunst. Hier wird mit dem Begriff "handgemacht" für gewöhnliche Speisen unanständig viel Geld genommen. Mancher Auflauf ist tatsächlich sehr geschmackvoll gemacht, leider aber immer wenig und hochpreisig. Ganz einfach: Wir können nicht wieder kommen. Wir fühlen uns am Ende charmant verarscht. Schade. Die Art des Essens ist eigentlich toll.
