We were there with a registered group of 20 people. There was only one waitress in the entire restaurant who was extremely stressed. She was polite, but I felt so sorry for her! As soon as I entered the restaurant, I found the smell of toilet and fragrance spray very unpleasant. That really wasn't inviting. The menu is rather simple, but everyone is sure to find a dish that they would like. I have chicken breast with mushrooms. The meat was plentiful, but fried so tastelessly. The sauce wasn't really seasoned any better, the croquettes were baked very well... Unfortunately, the salad bar is very unimaginative and vinegar mosquitoes came out of the plate of onions next to the salad bar when it moved. The atmosphere is very rustic and dark, but the view of the Wied is very beautiful. The inside of the restaurant could really use a renovation, very worn out. The location has potential, but unfortunately it is poorly utilized.

Well attended and still not a long wait until the food is served. The food is tasty and plentiful, almost too much, but there are also senior plates. If there is anything left over, you can get a doggy bag if you wish. Service is tried hard, ambience so-so, but beautifully located on the river. We can definitely recommend the place.

After a hike we took a break at this great restaurant. We only had a drink, but the menu and the plates at the neighboring tables were very appealing and left us wanting more. We will definitely eat something there next time. THE prices are really very humane. A carafe of wine (from Scheidgen) for 5 euros, a Weiten 0.3 for 3 euros and a cappuccino for 3 euros. There's really nothing you can say. From the restaurant you have a great view of the Laubachtal. The menu is clear and it seems like everything is homemade. For example, soup was about 5 euros, schnitzel with fries and salad for 19.90 euros, wild boar currywurst with fries was on the menu, I can't remember the exact price, but it was under 20 euros. There are enough parking spaces in front of the house, wheelchair accessible entrance, everything is level. It's definitely worth stopping by here.

A special place with very good food

Very tasty food. The soup was well seasoned and super hot. The schnitzel was large, super fried and cooked to perfection, fries were very good and there was a good, relatively large side salad. The price was still very reasonable, not exaggerating like many people now do Restaurants.The conditions are friendly.The location by the stream and the idyll is absolutely beautiful. We'll be back, it has a nice atmosphere. Keep it up.

There is a view of the Laubach both inside and outside. Outside, the water wheel turns and that provides a nice natural sound. Inside, the interior is dark brown and therefore somewhat gloomy when the sun is not shining. The menu offers tasty dishes for meat lovers. The trout is delicious, but you have to fillet it yourself. You can park in front of the restaurant. In short, definitely recommended.

Last year and the year before last, the menu was more varied...this year it was very minimalistic. I found it a shame because we were looking forward to some dishes. I just thought that if there was less on the menu, that would be something ,then it's a lot better/higher quality......far from it. We always enjoy going to the mill to eat, especially with visitors from my home country. We won't be doing that again in the future.

Inside everything is dark brown and worn. Very nice terrace at the mill wheel. 5 stars for the very nice service. The food tasted very good, almost too big portions at moderate prices. We'd love to come back!

Yesterday afternoon, after a bike ride, we spontaneously stopped here and asked if we could still eat there. No problem. Good thing, too. We had a delicious meal and drinks. The food and drinks arrived quickly and were delicious, more than enough and not expensive. The toilets were also clean and tidy. The decor of the restaurant is very nice with taxidermy animal heads, hunting equipment, etc. In short, it is highly recommended to go here.

Ordered pork schnitzel with paprika cream sauce, got pork schnitzel forester with cream sauce and mushrooms. I told the waitress, sorry, but like my wife, I had ordered a schnitzel with paprika cream sauce. The lady takes the wrong schnitzel back and brings me a “new” schnitzel 5 minutes later. When you look more closely, you notice, and not just me: The kitchen simply turned the schnitzel upside down on another plate, put new sauce over it, and served it to me again. What was noticeable was that the sauce on my plate looked completely different than the sauce my wife had on her plate. No taste, the schnitzel was completely soggy, a sauce mixture that was indefinable, and a mushroom from the forester's variant appeared under the schnitzel. Absolute no go. No taste, kitchen service a disaster, the side salad a joke with no taste and hardly any dressing. When the waitress asked if everything was OK, I told her my complaint. She passes this on to the kitchen. That's it. We didn't get an espresso after our meal because the coffee machine had already been cleaned. The restaurant and the outside terrace were about 2/3 full at the time. Services = 0 The Laubachsmühle definitely no longer sees us; unless we can be credibly assured that the conditions have improved.

We ate there last year and this year too. Price performance, food, staff etc. was very satisfactory. It won't be the last time we eat there

Here again after 45 years. The next generation is here and it tastes great again today.

We have been eating at Laubachsmühle regularly for years. Lately I have to say that the quality has been declining. The schnitzels are huge but thinner than a slice of bread so I have to say it would be better to have a smaller schnitzel and a little thicker so that you can still see the meat between the breading. The Försterin sauce was bland and tasteless and the fries were glassy and greasy. But we also ate from the asparagus menu and the asparagus was perfect, I also have to mention. There are also some good dishes missing from the menu recently! As always, the waitresses were very friendly and attentive.

Unfortunately our visit to this restaurant was a huge disappointment. The staff was rude and didn't seem to have the slightest interest in the guests' satisfaction. Although there were several small tables available outside, we were turned away (5 people) and simply refused to put tables together. Instead, we were sent in, had to wait a long time for someone from service, only to be shooed away from the table that wasn't reserved until 1.5 hours later. Zero flexibility, zero politeness, zero service spirit, not the slightest interest in making it possible for us to get a place. An experience we do not want to repeat and a restaurant we definitely cannot recommend to others.

I recently used this company's service and was extremely disappointed. From the start, customer service was unfriendly and unhelpful. It seemed like the staff had little interest in answering my questions or taking my concerns seriously.

It is one of the oldest restaurants in that region, they have been serving for nearly two hundred years, there are wild animals during the hunting season, we arrived at asparagus time and ate a delicious Argentinian tenderloin with Hollandese sauce with all asparagus from the menu of dishes made with asparagus, our friends also drank creamy asparagus soup and they liked it very much, It is a place above the average price preferred by local people. You can experience typical German cuisine by watching the old water mill with a wonderful view.

Apparently overwhelmed on Father's Day. We wanted to stop for coffee and ice cream. After we waited 20 minutes for the lady and I just wanted to know what ice cream/cake was available, she replied "then I have to get the card" in a wonderful, pissed off tone. The card never came... so we moved on after coffee...

We had a small birthday party today and everyone was very happy with their food, no matter what we ordered. The three different starters were also beautifully presented and extremely tasty. The prices are okay and the service is super friendly.

After a long time we spontaneously went to eat there again. We got a place without waiting. Very friendly staff, it was still nice and quiet, despite there being a lot of guests. Food was delivered quickly, the food was very tasty, we had deer goulash with dumplings and red cabbage... gladly again

I have a great rump steak with braised onions and large fries and salad from the buffet with delicious dressing/balsamic. Before the meal, delicious garlic bread. Everything was plentiful. A great meal.

Unfortunately, my Försterinnen style schnitzel was very tough and some of the breading was bitterly burnt. The cream sauce tasteless. The starter was better (bacon-wrapped goat cheese). The ambience is rustic and dark and could use a refresh.

Was there for the first time today. Starter: Goat cheese wrapped in bacon, bread and dip Main course: Roast wild boar with sauce and spaetzle, as well as cranberry dip. Bedside table: caramel cream with cookies and cream. Service was friendly and on the ball. Food exceeded my expectations. Everything was very tasty and fresh. Furnishings a bit older, but very, very comfortable. Suitable for the mill. Toilets clean. Prices absolutely fair. I would go there again and can only recommend it. I still have a stomach ache because I ate too much. 😀😀 Leftovers were happily packed up. Dogs are also allowed. Good area for hiking. Reserve in advance! Even though we didn't have a session, it was very well attended. Thank you very much.

Unfortunately, my “Jäger Art” schnitzel was burnt. The sauce was gelatinous, flavored with canned mushrooms. The plate was chipped. The red wine was served in a white wine glass. My guests' trout was served in plates that were far too small. The head and tail fin hung over the edge of the plate. Canteen food at the lowest level.

During the last few visits I noticed that the Laubachsmühle urgently needs to be renovated. In all areas, especially the women's toilet. The kitchen was also better in earlier times.

Rustic restaurant. The food tasted partly very good, partly just okay. Big portion. Service very friendly. The dessert menu consists mainly of ice cream. The only negative: The cola (I think Afri Cola) is almost non-carbonated, even from a new bottle. I think it's a shame. There are some parking spaces directly in front of it.

I've eaten here several times. It's delicious and the portions are large.

The Laubachsmühle is beautifully situated on the Wied. If you get a window seat it's a little highlight. Whether hikers or families, everyone is welcome. The quality of the food is very good. The prices are reasonable despite the VAT increase. Unfortunately, the portions were a bit off and grilled plates (my personal favorite) disappeared from the menu. Otherwise, great service is worth mentioning. Thumbs up.

Etzadla kann man sich gut hinterschaufeln

Kamen vom Wandern zur Laubachsmühle,auch weil wir es empfohlen bekommen haben für Wild zu essen. War dann ein wenig enttäuscht da es nur Kaninchen vom Niederrhein gab. Also wurde das Ragout bestellt mit Blaukraut und Knödel. Auf der Karte stand das das Gericht Bleikugeln haben könnte. Essen war reichlich,und ich hatte ganze vier Bleikugeln im Ragout. Bei dem vorsichtigen Essen war das Gericht auch schnell kalt gewesen. Man wurde auch leider beim Service nicht direkt beachtet obwohl es nicht voll war.Schade eigentlich.

Sehr schön gelegen, mit Blick auf die Wied und den Wald. Ansprechendes Ambiente im Restaurant. Sehr gut durchorganisiert, sodass wir zügig unsere Bestellungen abgeben konnten und unsere Gerichte erhielten. Das Essen wurde ansprechend serviert und war super lecker. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Hier fühlte man sich gut aufgehoben. Die Toiletten waren sauber. Parkplätze befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Restaurant. Hunde sind erlaubt. Immer wieder gerne !!

Sehr schönes und gemütliches Gasthaus direkt an der Wied... Man kann beim Essen die Wied vorbei fließen sehen, im Außenbereich gibt es auch noch ein voll funktionierendes Mühlrad. Das Essen und der Service sind großartig! Am besten vorher reservieren👍

Waren am Sonntag hier essen und ich muss sagen das Hasenragout war ungenießbar. Nach Aussage des Chefs, würde der Hase so schmecken. Na dann haben vier Personen keinen Geschmackssinn.

We belden laat op de avond om nog een tafeltje te boeken, net voor het restaurant een weekje zou sluiten. Probleemloos kregen we nog een plaats. Het eten was heel lekker en ruim voldoende en de huiswijn van goede kwaliteit. De prijs is heel bescheiden en de bediening verloop vlot en zeer vriendelijk. Een aanrader 😋

Essen ist gut, aber nichts wirklich Besonderes. Leider kein Gemüse, nicht mal als Beilage zu finden, außer Salat. Nach kleinen Wanderungen kehren wir hier dennoch gerne ein, solange man noch draußen sitzen und dem Mühlrad zuhören kann. Das Gebäude wirkt teilweise ein wenig vernachlässigt, aber grundsätzlich alles in Ordnung. Das Drumherum unbezahlbar, die Wied - wunderschön. Da kommt schon mal der Fischreiher vorbei.

Wir waren nun schon einige Male hier essen und immer voll zufrieden! So auch heute!! Sehr nettes Personal, immer leckeres Essen und faire Preise. Auch gestandene Wanderer werden nach einem Spaziergang Probleme haben, die Portionen komplett zu verputzen. Wenn ich mir etwas wünschen dürfte, dann wäre dies (lediglich ) ein dunkel gezapftes 🍺🍻.

Leckeres Essen, für den ausgewachsenen Hunger. Die Laubachsmühle ist ein Restaurant mit gut bürgerlicher Küche. Saisonal gibt es auch Besonderheiten, wie Wild o.Ä. Die Portionen sind mehr als reichlich, so dass man schon ordentlich Hunger mitbringen sollte. Die Preise sind angemessen und absolut in Ordnung, hier stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Das Essen war perfekt. Die Bedienung superfreundlich und sehr nett. Es war viel Betrieb daher war sie leider an ihren Grenzen. Wartezeiten waren ok. Das Ambiente ist seit 20 Jahren nahezu unverändert.

Das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht . Nach kurzer Anfrage konnten wir am frei werdenden Tisch Platz nehmen . Getränke und Speisen konnten zeitnah bestellt werden . Wir möchten uns hiermit für die freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung durch das Personal recht herzlich bedanken . Das Essen war sehr schmackhaft in großen Portionen zubereitet . Insgesamt ein sehr empfehlenswertes Haus .

Zeer leuk nostalgisch restaurant met een voortreffelijke keuken. Prijzen zijn nog redelijk.

Waren gestern in dem Lokal gewesen. Die Portion war für mich ( Spießbraten mit Pommes) viel zu wenig Pommes. Die Mayonnaise in kleine Tütchen, in einem Restaurant ein no go. Der Service könnte etwas schneller sein. Ansonsten ein sehr schönes und gemütliches Restaurant. Aber trotzdem nichts besonderes.

Sehr schön gelegenes Restaurant mitten im Wiedbachtal. Alle Gerichte die wir hatten, 4 Personen sehr,sehr lecker. Frisch zubereitet. Die Bedienung freundlich und flink. Immer wieder gerne. Man fühlt sich gut aufgehoben , mit einer Aussicht wie im Urlaub.

Wir waren super zufrieden das Essen sowie der Service waren sehr gut. Die Portion sind echt zum satt werden. Das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis ist echt ne 10 von 10.

Wir waren nach einer Wanderung eingekehrt,und wir wurden mit einem leckeren Essen verwöhnt. Ein bißchen enttäuscht war ich von den Markklößchen,aber der Grillteller mit Beilagen hat uns getröstet.Das Fleisch butterzart und genau auf den Punkt gebraten.Die Servicekraft nett und zuvorkommend, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt wieder. Bestimmt 30 Jahre war ich nicht mehr zu Besuch in der Laubachsmühle. Am Sonntag war es soweit-und es war gut. Ordentliche, handwerklich gut gemachte Küche, ein toller Blick auf die Wied, freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service-ganz so, wie es mir in Erinnerung aus Jugendzeiten war. Die Portionen sind mehr als reichlich, und die Preise sind günstig. Eine echte Empfehlung, wenn man im Wiedbachtal ist-gerade auch nach Wanderungen und Ausflügen. Vielen Dank dafür!
