Landgasthof Pension Ölmühle Hirzwald in Triberg im Schwarzwald

Wir waren im Juli 2026 eher zufällig zu Gast in der Öhlmühle – und was für eine schöne Überraschung! Dass wir in einem rein vegetarisch-veganen Restaurant gelandet sind, hat uns von Anfang an begeistert. Da wir zu viert waren, konnten wir viele Spezialitäten der Speisekarte probieren. Von der Vorspeise über die Hauptgerichte bis hin zum Dessert war einfach alles hervorragend. Besonders die hausgemachte Löwenzahn-Limonade ist ein absolutes Highlight! Wir – zwei Vegetarier und zwei bewusste Allesesser – waren gleichermaßen begeistert von der Qualität, dem außergewöhnlichen Geschmack und der liebevollen, kreativen Präsentation der Gerichte. Auf unserem Tisch standen unter anderem Paprikasuppe, Bruschetta, Spaghetti mit Pfifferlingen, Grillteller, Rostbraten, Steak sowie Parfait mit Vanille- und Löwenzahngeschmack – jedes Gericht war ein Genuss. Die Öhlmühle ist absolut empfehlenswert – gerade auch für Menschen, die sonst nicht vegetarisch oder vegan essen. Hier wird eindrucksvoll gezeigt, wie vielfältig, kreativ und geschmackvoll pflanzliche Küche sein kann. Ein großes Chapeau an den Verein und die ehrenamtlichen Betreiber der Öhlmühle! Das gesamte Konzept, das unglaublich freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal sowie die gelebte Inklusion verdienen höchsten Respekt. Für uns ist das in jeder Hinsicht 5-Sterne-Niveau. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 4 Erwachsenen und 4 Kindern im Naturgasthof & Ölmühle Hirzwald und hatten einen rundum gelungenen Abend. Vor unserem Besuch hatten wir uns nicht näher über das Restaurant informiert. Da keiner von uns Veganer oder Vegetarier ist, waren wir von der Speisekarte zunächst durchaus überrascht. Umso spannender war es, sich auf etwas Neues einzulassen. Die Gerichte waren wunderschön und mit viel Liebe zum Detail angerichtet. Allein optisch waren sie bereits ein Highlight. Als leidenschaftlicher Fleischesser kann ich die Speisen vielleicht nicht aus der Sicht der eigentlichen Zielgruppe bewerten, aber uns allen hat es sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Kombinationen und Geschmacksrichtungen waren außergewöhnlich und anders als das, was man sonst kennt, definitiv eine Erfahrung, die man einmal gemacht haben sollte. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den Service. Das gesamte Team war freundlich, aufmerksam und dabei angenehm authentisch. Ein großes Lob und herzliches Dankeschön an Markus und seinen Kollegen, die sich hervorragend um uns gekümmert haben. Auch das Ambiente hat uns sehr gefallen: viel Holz, gemütlich, warm und einfach zum Wohlfühlen. Im Gespräch mit Markus haben wir zudem mehr über das Konzept des Restaurants beziehungsweise des Vereins erfahren. Die dahinterstehende Idee hat uns wirklich beeindruckt und wir finden es großartig, mit wie viel Überzeugung und Leidenschaft dieses Konzept gelebt wird. Besonders positiv ist uns aufgefallen, dass die verwendeten Produkte größtenteils regional und von hoher Qualität sind. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis empfinden wir daher als absolut fair und angemessen. Die liebevolle Präsentation der Speisen, die hochwertigen Zutaten und die spürbare Hingabe des Teams rechtfertigen den Preis vollkommen. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Hirzwald-Team für diesen schönen Abend. Wir wünschen euch weiterhin viel Erfolg!

Wir waren absolut begeistert! Die ausschließlich vegetarischen und veganen Gerichte sind nicht nur unglaublich lecker, sondern auch mit viel Kreativität und Liebe zum Detail zubereitet. Man merkt, dass hier hochwertige Zutaten und tolle Ideen zusammenkommen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist auch das selbst gebackene Sauerteigbrot – ein echter Genuss! Wir haben direkt eines mit nach Hause genommen und können es nur empfehlen. Das Personal war durchweg super freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich, sodass wir uns vom ersten Moment an wohlgefühlt haben. Ein rundum gelungenes Konzept und definitiv ein Restaurant, das wir gerne wieder besuchen. Klare Empfehlung!

Gutes Konzept mit veganen oder vegetarischen Gerichten. Auch das Thema Inklusion wird super gelebt und bekommt von uns 5 Sterne! Auch das mache Mitarbeiter ehrenamtlich arbeiten verdient erwähnt zu werden. Wir waren Freitags essen und haben vorher extra reserviert. Was man uns weder bei der Reservierung noch bei der Verteilung der Speisekarte mitgeteilt hat, dass es heute "NUR" Flammkuchen und Dinnerle gibt. Keine Suppe, Spätzle für Kinder oder sonstiges... Auch 15,- Euro für ein Dinnerle, was nicht viel größer als ein kleiner Kuchenteller ist, finden wir ziemlich viel... In der Wirtschaft wird auf jedem Tisch mit einem laminiert DINA4 Blatt darauf hingewiesen, dass man doch in bar zahlen sollte... Auf meine Nachfrage sagte man mir, dass sie als Zahlungsempfänger 2,5% Gebühr pro Transaktion zu zahlen hätten... Auch auf meine Argumente, dass dies nicht korrekt sei, wurde nicht reagiert. Natürlich haben wir dann (wie gewünscht) in bar bezahlt. Leider hatte der Kellner dann auch nicht das passende Wechselgeld dabei. Selbstverständlich ging es nicht um einen ungeraden Betrag. Einmal war gut, aber nicht nochmal.

Dieser Ort ist einfach fantastisch! Die vegane Auswahl ist unglaublich – so viele köstliche Optionen, alle liebevoll zubereitet und voller Geschmack. Jedes Gericht, das wir probiert haben, war hervorragend, und die Qualität der Speisen war schlichtweg erstklassig. Ein besonderes Highlight war die vegane Soße: reichhaltig, herzhaft und unglaublich lecker. Sie rundete das Gericht perfekt ab und war wirklich etwas Besonderes. Absolut empfehlenswert für alle, die gutes Essen lieben, insbesondere mit einer großen Auswahl an veganen Gerichten!

Für uns ein perfektes Restaurant nach einem Auslfugstag, da 4 von 6 glutenfrei essen müssen und auch gerne vegetarische essen... dafür ist der Naturgasthof HIRZWALD perfekt. Alle Gerichte sind vegetarisch, aber auch die Nicht-Vegetarierer haben die Essen sehr genossen. Es gibt klassisch vegetarische Gerichte wie Käsespätzle, aber auch "Ersatzgerichte" wie eine vegetarische Roulade oder vegetarisches Schnitzel. Alles war sehr schmackhaft und vieles gibt es auch als vegane Variante oder eben glutenfrei. Auch sehr angenehm sind die Menschen: wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen und die Trägerschaft durch den Verein und das Konzept ein "Inklusions-Team" zu haben und eben auch ehrenamtliche Helfer fanden wir sehr sympathisch. Bei unserem nächsten Schwarzwald-Ausflug kommen wir sehr gerne wieder vorbei!

Das Essen war gut. Leider gab es während unseres Besuchs am verlängerten Wochenende nur Flammkuchen und andere dünne, pizzaähnliche Speisen. Diese waren zwar lecker, aber für die Menge etwas teuer. Daher konnten wir die größeren Gerichte leider nicht probieren. Wir haben auch die heiße Schokolade (mit Kakao) probiert, und diese war wirklich echt, aus echten Kakaobohnen zubereitet – ein großes Plus. Insgesamt ein schönes Erlebnis.

5 Sterne von uns! Besonders begeistert hat uns, dass alle Speisen vegetarisch oder sogar vegan sind und es trotzdem eine große Auswahl gibt. Alles, was wir probiert haben, war sehr lecker. Dazu kamen sehr engagierte Mitarbeiter, die sich sichtbar mit dem Restaurant und der angeschlossenen Ölmühle identifizieren. Auch toll: Die hochwertigen Öle kann man direkt vor Ort kaufen. Die Lage in der Natur rundet das Ganze perfekt ab. Wir waren so begeistert, dass wir am Ende unseres Urlaubes noch mal vorbeigekommen sind!

Der Naturgasthof Hirzwald bietet eine breite Auswahl an veganen Gerichten, welche nicht nur kreativ und hochqualitativ, sondern auch außerordentlich lecker sind. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und charmant. Zudem wurden Fragen zur Herkunft und Zubereitung der Gerichte mit Freude beantwortet. Kommunikation auf Englisch ist auch problemlos möglich. Die lieblich-ländliche Atmosphäre war äußerst entspannend und das Restaurant war trotz des abgelegenen Standorts (zu Recht) gut besucht.

Extrem schöne und liebevolle Atmosphäre. Man merkt, dass die ehrenamtlichen Bedienungen Spaß an Ihrer Arbeit haben. Das Essen ist wirklich sehr, sehr lecker. Wir haben mehrere Gerichte probiert und alle haben sehr gut geschmeckt. Der Großteil der Karte ist vegan was hier in der Gegend wirklich eine Seltenheit ist. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen und ich kann das Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen!

Wow! Total tolles Konzept und hervorragendes Essen! Wir waren zu dritt mit meiner Oma hier und haben alle was richtig leckeres zum Abendessen gefunden. Sehr netter Service, hundefreundlich und das ganze Restaurant ist auf vegetarische und vegane Ernährung ausgelegt. Auch für uns mit Glutenunverträglichkeit keine Probleme gehabt. Alles selbst hergestellt, viel Liebe zum Detail & ganz viel Herzblut. Macht weiter so, danke dass es euch gibt und ihr so etwas im Schwarzwald betreibt !

Absolut tolles Konzept! Schön, in der Einöde der Schwarzwälder Gastronomie (die gefühlt von immer noch größeren Portionen zu immer noch günstigeren Preisen auf Kosten der Lebensmittel oder des Betriebes lebt) eine Anlaufstelle zu haben, in der das Verhältnis von Genuss und Wertschätzung dem Küchenhandwerk, im Hier und Jetzt angekommen ist. 120%ige Weiterempfehlung!

Wir waren an einem Freitag da zum Dinnele essen. Sowohl die Salzigen (vegetarisch und vegan) als auch die süße Variante haben uns total begeistert. Wir werden sicher nochmal an einem anderen Tag wieder kommen, wenn es die Standardkarte gibt, weil sich alles so gut anhört. Es gibt auch eine tolle Auswahl an ausgefallenen alkoholfreien Getränken. Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr gemütlich. Rundum empfehlenswert!

Ein echter Geheimtipp: ein rein vegetarisches Restaurant mit vielen veganen Optionen, in dem man traditionelle Gerichte fleischlos genießen kann. Das Interieur ist eine gemütliche Holzhütte, alle Produkte sind biologisch und alles schmeckt einfach fantastisch. Hunde sind herzlich willkommen. Eine Reservierung wird empfohlen.

Toller Gasthof, sehr leckeres Essen und ganz toller Service! Geselliges Essen mit genug Zeit und ohne Handyempfang sind echt entschleunigend. Auch der Honig ist sehr zu empfehlen!

Very good vegan food. Really, really delicious, even if you're not primarily vegan.

It's a fundamentally fine philosophy to offer high-quality products. However, this unfortunately doesn't fit with the "rip-off" that occurs at the expense of non-customers because of a right of way. This doesn't make the world a better place.

We thought it would be complicated to eat out in the Black Forest as a vegetarian... But the Hirzwald restaurant proved the complete opposite. Not only was the food delicious, the service was always very friendly and attentive on our two visits. The entire restaurant concept is simply compelling: good quality at a good price. Regional and seasonal. If only more restaurant owners would do this... We'll definitely be back as soon as our next vacation in the Black Forest is around the corner.

Update after now going there multiple times: It is one of the best vegan and non-vegan places I've been to now. Would recommend you to go there as everything is super fresh and unbelievably tasty. Will go there again and again! Service is super friendly and the people are lovely, even remember who you are.

We visited here for the first time, specifically looking for a vegetarian restaurant in the region, and we were thrilled. We deliberately came on a Friday for the tarte flambée and diner day. It was delicious, the atmosphere was very pleasant, and we felt very comfortable. We'll definitely be back to try the other dishes.

I've driven past Hirzwald so many times and have been wanting to stop in for a long time – now I finally did, and it was absolutely the right decision! The atmosphere is super cozy, the team warm and hospitable. I chose the Parasol Schnitzel based on a recommendation – simply fantastic! Crispy, juicy, creatively prepared, and a real highlight in terms of taste. The portions are large and more than filling. Purely vegetarian & vegan, creative and varied, lovingly cooked, and down-to-earth! The 5 stars are fully deserved 🫶🏼 I'd go back anytime 😊

We absolutely loved the food. None of us missed the meat side dish. Whether it was sausage salad or rösti with cheese schnitzel, everything was delicious, and the portions were large enough to satisfy everyone. We'll definitely be back, and we're happy to make the trip from Switzerland.

We ate here during our vacation, and what can we say? It was so incredibly good that we came back again. The cozy atmosphere is inviting at first glance, topped off by warm hospitality. The food is outstanding; I've rarely seen such a selection of vegan dishes, and predominantly regional. Highly recommended on Fridays, which is Dinnele/Flammkuchen day. A visit here is an absolute must if you're in the area.

We and our five dogs received a very warm welcome and were treated with great hospitality. A true paradise for vegetarians and vegans. The food arrived quickly and was incredibly delicious, and they even took time to chat with us. Reservations are definitely recommended on weekends; on Thursday evenings, we easily managed to get a table without one. Unfortunately, we're only here on vacation, but we won't miss a second visit. ☺️

What a wonderful restaurant visit. The staff is very friendly, they chat with the customers, which is incredibly personable; you feel very welcome here. There's nothing to complain about when it comes to the food; it's simply wonderful. Only good, local ingredients, freshly prepared. Das Essen im Restaurant ist sehr gut! Allerdings habe ich an einem anderen Tag bei einer Radtour nach etwas Wasser für meine Trinkflasche gefragt. Dies wurde mir verweigert, da die Quellen versiegt sind und das Wasser von der Feuerwehr für hohe Kosten gebracht werden muss. Ich wollte nur einen Liter Wasser haben! Ich kann es immer noch nicht fassen!!

For those who prefer a more classic approach, we offer the legendary Dinnele (spicy dumplings) and Flammkuchen (tarte flambée) on Fridays, naturally in vegetarian, vegan, or even raw versions. In short: A visit to the Hirzwald Oil Mill Nature Inn is more than just a meal—it's an experience for all the senses. We'll definitely be back!

The food is vegetarian, which I missed...we came without a reservation but despite it being busy we were given a spot on the side where we were alone, that's why they forgot about us...my partner showed his face around the corner and after some apology he started working with us anyway...we enjoyed it there...food was fine but the sauce with radish could have had a little more flavor and the cheese a little more melted...but otherwise everything was good, including the service 😉😅

This natural inn is a little insider tip that deserves much more attention. Vegetarian/vegan dishes of incredibly good quality. A menu that changes every 8 weeks because you go with the season and the fresh regional ingredients. Challenging themselves every time to pamper their guests with creativity, love and finesse shows that the team definitely knows something about their craft. Our meal was a little journey into the unknown. We mostly ordered the “surprise”. Because we wanted to fully immerse ourselves in the food, without a certain expectation of what something should taste like or how you imagine it when reading the menu. This turned out to be the right decision. Not only was each plate visually impressive, but the taste really gave you a feeling of satisfaction. The ingredients were perfectly balanced and also seasoned. There was a little bit of love on every fork, which just made the dish complete. The service was an absolute 10/10. So loving, so accommodating. You immediately felt welcomed and as if you had been a regular there forever. Finally, I can only say thank you for this incredibly wonderful hospitality and for winning future regular guests with us.

Vegetarian restaurant (oops) As a carnivore I went for fried cheese. The salad could use a little more attention. The fried cheese was delicious as were the potatoes. Very friendly service.

Beware of rip-offs! My parents went there for coffee and were happy so far. We are happy to support local restaurants and pubs. When you stood in the parking lot a few days later, you overlooked the new, difficult-to-see parking fee signs. With a note full of grammatical errors, we were informed of an administrative offense which we had to pay in cash in the amount of €15 (which of course we didn't do as this notice didn't look official). In this note (it was nothing more) we were called by first names and after 3.5 months we received a contractual penalty of €90. This is also disproportionately high. Anyone who treats their guests like this shouldn't have any. Never again! Never again….

Yesterday I ate in Hirzwald for the first time following a recommendation and I was completely thrilled. As a vegan, I haven't had to google in advance to see if there's something for me in a long time (there was so much choice, dream) and the food was a 12/10. The staff was also very friendly, so it was a completely successful evening. I will definitely eat in the Hirzwald more often from now on and can highly recommend it to everyone, even those who are not vegan/vegetarian!

I recently went to the nearby rehab facility and visited the inn twice during my stay. I think it's great that there is a purely vegetarian/vegan restaurant here in the Black Forest that offers such exceptional food. The portions are very large (although I think the vegan fried chicken could be a bit larger) and keep you full for a long time, the ingredients are of excellent quality. Accordingly, the price is slightly higher than usual, but this is communicated transparently on the card. Overall, the service is first class and very personal.

The Naturgasthof Hirzwald is unique! From the first moment to the last, I was very satisfied with all of my last visits 🥰 The food consists of high-quality ingredients and is prepared with home-pressed oil. The possibility of vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free/raw food dishes leaves nothing to be desired and always makes it difficult to decide on just one dish :) (And that in a Black Forest inn ;)) Behind the whole project of the association and the motivation and conviction of the members is very admirable :) We help you out with every question and this leads to very nice conversations :) The service is therefore simply unique ☺️ I've been coming regularly since January and am already looking forward to the next ticket changes (which change every six weeks per season) It's all worth visiting the Hirzwald 😊

A dream of an inn. Everything is homemade, only from the best ingredients and you can taste it too. Any question about food regarding ingredients or origin can be answered here. In the Hirzwald, regional, seasonal and vegan cuisine is combined and taken to a new level. The service is just as good, very courteous, friendly personalities accompany you throughout the entire visit. You can just tell how much heart there is in the whole project. The association behind it has developed an exemplary concept that even convinces meat lovers. We are very enthusiastic and would like to come back.

We were very satisfied. Both with the dishes, their preparation as well as with the cellars and the nice conversations that always arise. In addition to the exclusively home-made dishes, there is also a lot of vegan and vegetarian food. Many allergies and intolerances are addressed. Great, keep it up. ;)

Very, very great and varied. My visit was very nice. Great service and very friendly. The range of food on offer is very varied, especially here in the area. There is also a lot of vegan and gluten-free food available! Especially with celiac disease it is difficult to find a restaurant, especially in this area. That's why 5 stars from me :))

Great vegan/vegetarian restaurant – highly recommended! This shows how delicious and varied vegan/vegetarian cuisine can be. Even as a meat eater, you won't miss anything here - every dish was really well made, with high quality ingredients and great attention to detail. I also think it’s particularly nice that people here are concerned with inclusion. A great concept that not only impresses in terms of taste, but also in terms of people. If you're in the area, you should definitely stop by. We'll definitely be back!

We were 10 people. It was amazing. Everyone in our group enjoyed and enjoyed it. The service was also good, personal and friendly. There is a wide range in price; personally, simpler dishes seemed a bit more expensive to me, while more elaborate ones were cheaper.

It was a very great evening! I was very surprised by the variety on the menu! There was really nothing to complain about. I have never felt so well cared for in an inn. The food was brilliant and I will be visiting again soon! Keep it up and all the best!!!

After a hike through the beautiful Black Forest, we stopped in the Hirzwald in the evening. Without a reservation we got a table for two. What can I say, my wife and I had a really great evening here. Service, food and ambience were really top. We can really recommend the Hirzwald to everyone and would love to come back. Please keep it up.

Rarely eaten so well. There is a great selection of absolutely sensational dishes, I was overwhelmed. The vegan and vegetarian offerings are second to none and the service is great. There were four of us and we were completely thrilled.

We had pre-ordered a vegan cheese fondue for 2 people. The cheese fondue was served in a fresh, crusty loaf of bread. We were able to order from a large selection of different side dishes. The cheese fondue was super creamy and tasted excellent. The portion is big enough for 2 people - we are good eaters and were stuffed. The hosts are very friendly and you immediately feel comfortable and welcome. Can only recommend the restaurant. Have already reserved for next time 🙂

We didn't look for it, but we found it: the new menu was on offer today and we can't decide which was the tastiest. We ordered different things and tried everything because we were so curious. Cooked with a lot of love and a sense of detail! Almost all of the dishes on the new menu are vegan, and everything is very delicious.

Here you are welcomed with so much warmth and warmth. There is also a great selection of high-quality, tasty dishes. I have never experienced such a great selection of food options for vegetarians/vegans. Our dogs were also very welcome here. We have already reserved our next stay and are looking forward to trying more dishes. Even after our third visit here, we are still thrilled and regret that our time is over. We will definitely come back here on our next vacation in the Black Forest.

We were there for dinner and I have rarely received such warm and friendly service. The food was great, especially because it was vegan/vegetarian, the products were high quality and there were no unnecessary additives. The raw food wrap tasted very good, the ingredients were fresh and the combination was perfect. The other main courses and starters didn't disappoint us either, but rather pleasantly surprised us. We will definitely be back and I hope that the inn will continue to be so well received and that the team will remain as nice, friendly and accommodating. Thank you for the fantastic food and the outstanding service.

A wonderful evening with delicious food and charm.

Where should we start? Discovered by chance online on the way to Villingen. The service was great!! Open, friendly and there was comedy to boot. The whole team is incredibly nice and accommodating. The atmosphere was super cozy and inviting. In the middle of nature. Fantastically beautiful view. The food was absolute madness. I (mostly vegan) was happy to sit in front of such a wide variety. My husband, who loves eating meat, was so excited that he had to praise the chef, saying he had never eaten so well. It was fresh, extraordinary and incredibly delicious. There was bread, oil, lentils and lemonade made in-house. you can taste the freshness and your own craftsmanship. WE WILL BE BACK ❣️
