We were received very unfriendly by the boss because instead of 16 people there were 13 and he didn't even have the decency to say goodbye to us. We won't be coming back.

Beautiful guesthouse, great location if you're looking for peace and quiet, clean rooms, and a friendly staff who answered all our questions with a smile. A hearty breakfast and a relaxing sauna made the holiday perfect. There are lovely destinations that are easily accessible on foot or by bike. We even extended our stay by one night because it was so lovely. We'll be back!

We enjoyed a lovely hike in this magnificent landscape and then enjoyed a delicious salad at the Staude restaurant! The entire team is very friendly and welcoming! Thank you very much!

A charming place to eat specialties, out of the way from everything, and that's what's nice about it. It's typical of what you're looking for when you want to settle into a good German Gasthof. The surroundings are also very pretty for walks. The cakes were very good, bravo!

Un hotel con annesso ristorante davvero sorprendente: zona di pace, silenzio e tutti i toni del verde. Raffinatezza, cortesia e tradizione sia al ristorante che nell'albergo. Particolare attenzione alle norme igieniche che non sempre sono presenti negli alberghi. Colazione al top con prodotti freschissimi e di qualità, sia dolce che salata. Il menù della cena a la carta comprende carne, pesce e piatti vegetariani, tutti ben bilanciati e presentati, ma con un tocco di originalità. Davvero consigliatissimo e con qualità sopra la media, con prezzi tutto sommato contenuti (compreso nel pernottamento l ingresso alle cascate e al museo di Triberg, molto carino).

!Food poisoning! The entire family had dinner at the inn on Wednesday. We had several cheese spaetzle, rolled roast and venison goulash, as well as a Black Forest cherry. Everyone who tried the cake was spitting all night long! The next day was hell and ruined our vacation. It wasn't until Saturday that everyone was fit enough again to prepare for the descent. We are sure it was food poisoning and since only those who ate the cake were affected, that must be where it came from. 4 times food poisoning in an otherwise decent restaurant is an outrage. Hygiene should be checked urgently. If you eat here, just don't order dessert from the glass display case. Reply to the host: Thank you for your feedback. It's a shame that your immediate reaction will be like this. A properly run restaurant would have apologized and assured customers that they would check everything again for safety. The fact that she is directly confrontational here confirms to us that our accusation of poor hygiene is justified. Unfortunately, we were unable to respond to you because we were sick for several days due to food poisoning and didn't want to be reminded of this negative experience over the holidays. Had an amazing experience at Gasthaus Staude! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive. The cleanliness of the establishment was impressive - everything was spotless and well-maintained. The rooms were also beautifully decorated and cozy. Great atmosphere overall! The inn has always been good, I often brought people there for the Black Forest cherry cake and chocolate. Today, however, creamy paste without any flavor. Neither cherries nor cream could be tasted. Chocolate on the outside tasted like chocolate, everything else was bad. service was friendly and nice. Price ok. but unfortunately not the iconic, delicious Black Forest cherry like it used to be. I won't take anyone there...

Absolutely recommended inn. Went here just to eat as part of a hike. Quiet terrace (a few cars now and then). There is also a cozy dining room. Reservation recommended on weekends. Super dedicated and very friendly service. ❤️ Menu also suitable for vegetarians. Rich meals. Expanded draft beer range. Very good value for money. Unfortunately we can't say anything about the hotel/accommodation.

We felt very comfortable at the Gasthaus Staude. It's a cute little hotel in the middle of nowhere, far from any main road. The rooms are beautifully renovated and have a smart TV. The breakfast wasn't huge, but there was something for everyone. They also serve truly excellent scrambled eggs. The beds are comfortable, and the Wi-Fi is fast. All in all, a great hotel

The Gasthaus Staude in Triberg is an absolute recommendation! We felt comfortable here from the first minute. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a break from everyday life. The food is excellent - traditional Black Forest dishes, lovingly prepared and very tasty. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive without being intrusive. You can tell that people work here with heart and soul. The location of the inn is also ideal for hikers and nature lovers who want to enjoy the beauty of the Black Forest. All in all, a wonderful place to take a break and indulge in culinary delights. We'll definitely be back!

Very welcoming and TOP NOTCH STAFF! Service was excellent. Extremely friendly & helpful staff. They are very attentive. The food (breakfast & dinner) was very good. We wish they had a bigger selection but it was delicious. The rooms i gave 4 stars for 2 reasons…the 1st is, hotel is not accessible for handicap and mobility issues. Noone in a wheelchair can stay. Restroom in the rooms are nice but toilets are extremely low and in a tight corner. The bed was mostly comfortable but high in the center and i felt like i was leaning all night. The room has a small refrigerator and closet and balcony which was awesome. Sitting room is not comfortable. The room is in the top floor so no head room. Everything else was great with the room. (It is up 3 flights of stairs and no elevator.) Adding a small elevator would put this Gasthaus over the top for sure! The restaurant was great and staff were top notch.

We had dinner here this evening as a family with our 2 1/2 year old son. The service was excellent, extremely friendly and also very fond of children!! All the dishes were great, and our son also enjoyed it very much. There was even a little surprise waiting for our son at dessert! We'll definitely be back!! It's a shame that we don't have such a good restaurant. When it comes to service and, above all, child-friendliness, some restaurants can learn a lesson here.

The huge cakes and the delicious Black Forest cake are an absolute highlight and leave nothing to be desired. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, which makes the visit a completely successful experience. We'd love to come back!

We actually wanted to spend a short vacation in Triberg and ended up at Gasthaus Staude by chance. It's a bit out of the way. But what we experienced while dining, staying overnight and having breakfast topped everything; the staff absolutely competent and courteous. The room is spacious and invites you to take a vacation here. I've never seen two televisions sensibly installed. So in short: everything is right here.

Good restaurant, delicious German cuisine, nice ambience. Big disadvantage: no dogs are allowed, not even in the beer garden. Unfortunately, we didn't know this beforehand.

We used to love going there, but now we wanted to go with visitors and, as always when we stop by, we had the dog with us. Unfortunately: Dogs banned!! even on the large terrace! even if you sit there alone! We have never experienced this in a restaurant! By the way, there's nothing about it on the HP page of the "Staude". One of us had to go without food because it was too hot in the car and we didn't want to tie the dog outside for an hour! Also that it even happens on Sundays from 2 p.m or order by 1:45 p.m., nothing warm left There is food and the cake isn't served before 2 p.m., which is a shame!

Wir hatten uns extra auf der HP informiert, aber da stand nichts von " Hunde verboten"! Dies ist aberleider der Fall, selbt auf der Terrasse! Da wir dies bisher kaum in einem Restaurant erlebt haben, hatten wir den Hund dabei. Da es im Auto zu heiss war und wir ihn nicht über ne Stunde anbinden wollte,verzichtete Einer von unserer Familie auf das Essen auf der schönen, schattigen, auch nicht übervollen Terrasse! Not only in terms of the location, but also the facilities, the service and the warmth of the entire staff, this inn tops everything in this region. The rooms: new, beautiful and well equipped. The food: Imaginatively and deliciously prepared, very well seasoned and always cooked to perfection. If anyone wants pasta al dente, they've come to the wrong place. Because a real German chef reigns supreme here, who knows how to appreciate both meat and vegetarian dishes in all their facets. And finally the service: a warmth and friendliness at all levels that is not fake. From the chef to the numerous, hard-working staff and trainees from Bali. Conclusion: a feast for the senses, especially the palate and also the soul. Provided you are lucky enough to find a spot outside on the terrace - from there you have an unobstructed view of the field, forest and meadow. Our personal recommendation: try a rump steak, perhaps with tagliatelle or spaetzle and, as a dessert, definitely red groats with vanilla sauce!

Today we were in the Staude with our friends, a total of 6 people. Everyone ate something different, from salad to meat to fish. Everyone was full of praise for the great food. Special requests were even fulfilled. Very attentive staff, friendly, fast and flexible. We were even given a second table outside. We all went home really happy because we had a wonderful evening in the Staude. By the way, we go there often and always have the same positive experiences. If you have something to complain about here, you might want to check yourself to see what's wrong.

I used to enjoy being a guest here and often here and recommended the restaurant to others. This can no longer be done. It's really a disgrace how you are treated as a guest and this is very personally by the owner. We were definitely here for the last time, because something like that doesn't work. Three times we had pasta that was far too soft and wasn't eaten. We noted this and were told that they were supposedly perfect. I really ask myself how it is possible that you still smile cheekily in a guest's face. It's okay if you are convinced of your work, but trying to sell the guest for stupid is not an option. Lost 3 customers. Congratulations.

We have been here several times and have always been very satisfied! Unfortunately the main course today was nothing! The meat was good but the pasta was unfortunately too soft and lacked the certain kick that we were used to... that can happen with a full house, but unfortunately the chef has no ability to criticize and is more likely to accept a guest who honestly expresses his opinion A taste buddy who has no idea about pasta al dente! This has nothing to do with professional dealings with customers! The rest of the service staff were super polite and extremely accommodating, as always!! but unfortunately not the boss at all!!

Laut Einheimischen historische Einkehrmöglichkeit in guter Lage. Sehr gute Küche und freundliches Personal. Lecker angemachter Salat, mehr als ausreichende Portionen, schmackhafte Fleischgerichte und auch ein paar vegetarische Speisen. Hunde sind leider nicht erwünscht.

Nice little country inn. Super quiet location in the forest. Large room, everything very clean and tidy. The breakfast is good, sufficient and attractively presented. Free choice of drinks, individually prepared eggs. Super delicious homemade cakes for coffee. You definitely have to make a reservation for dinner - even as a hotel guest - as the evening business is really booming. The food is good but also quite expensive. The innkeepers and all the house staff are super nice and helpful. The only point of criticism: the towels are changed daily even though they are hung up neatly. After we raised this with the hotel, nothing has changed. For the sake of the environment, you should work on it. Unfortunately the sauna was out of service. We can recommend the inn without reservation and would be happy to come back.

Wir sind aufgrund zahlreicher Empfehlungen dort essen gewesen, aber geschmacklich hat es nicht gepasst und für die Qualität war es zu teuer.

Wir waren zum wiederholten Mal in der Staude zum Mittagessen und waren immer sehr zufrieden. Die Preise passen, die Qualität der Speisen empfanden wir als sehr gut. Auf der Speisekarte gibt es eine kleine Auswahl an vegetarischen Speisen, und wer etwas veganes möchte, ruft einfach ein paar Tage vorher an und sagt Bescheid. Die Küche lässt sich dann etwas einfallen. Ich als Veganerin war beide Male positiv überrascht, was das Küchenteam leckeres für mich gezaubert hatte und wie nett mein Essen angerichtet war. Sehr nett ist übrigens das Personal, man wird auf das freundlichste bedient. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.
