Griechische Restaurant Taverna Stefanos in Triberg im Schwarzwald

Die vielen positiven Bewertungen haben mich leider in die Falle gelockt. Mit einem authentischen griechischen Restaurant hat dieses Lokal meiner Meinung nach nichts zu tun. Es fehlt an Herzlichkeit, das Essen war geschmacklos und wirkte überwiegend wie aus Fertigprodukten zubereitet. Die neuen Inhaber sind meines Wissens auch keine Griechen. Vielleicht wäre es sinnvoller, sich auf die Küche zu konzentrieren, die sie wirklich beherrschen, anstatt ein authentisches griechisches Restaurant vermitteln zu wollen. Spart euch die Enttäuschung, und vor allem das viele Geld.

Wir bestellten vier Gerichte und ein Dessert, und alles war sehr lecker.

Schöne Speisekarte, freundlicher Service. Große Auswahl an Grillgerichten. Wir haben sehr lecker gegessen.

Saubere Gasträume, Speisen in gehobener Klasse zubereitet. Der außergewöhnlich positive Eindruck wurde von freundlichem Personal perfekt abgerundet.

Essen war sehr lecker und die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und nett(danke Kristina♥️) wir kommen auf jeden Fall nochmal wieder 👍🏻

Ein tolles, familiengeführtes Restaurant, in dem alles frisch zubereitet wird. Die Gyros sind absolut empfehlenswert. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir waren im Schwarzwald im Urlaub und haben hier zweimal gegessen, weil uns das Essen und der Service so gut gefallen haben.

Das Essen war perfekt. Wir hatten einen Fischteller bestellt, und er war herrlich frisch. Der Service war ebenfalls perfekt.

Ambiente wirkte kühl. Aber draußen, das Wetter, war an diesem Tag auch sehr kühl, feucht und unangenehm. Im Sommer wenn es draußen sehr warm ist wirkt es drinnen sicher angenehm.

Salat ein Witz ,Essen sonst ok wenngleich für uns nicht wiederholbar.Bedienung unaufmerksam ,Tischwäsche dreckig....was soll ich sagen ?

Ich kann diesen fantastischen Ort wärmstens empfehlen, um das hochwertige Essen, den außergewöhnlichen Service und das schöne Ambiente zu genießen.

Wir waren heute zum Mittagessen in diesem Restaurant. Trotz der zahlreichen kritischen Bewertungen, die wir vorab gelesen hatten, wollten wir uns selbst ein Bild machen und dem Lokal eine Chance geben. Als wir an einem Donnerstag gegen 12:30 Uhr ankamen, waren keine weiteren Gäste vor Ort. Während unseres Aufenthalts kamen lediglich vier weitere Personen zum Essen. Wir bestellten zweimal das Paros-Pfännchen sowie einmal Hühnerbrustfilet mit Champignonsoße aus der Mittagskarte. Vorweg hatten wir gegrillte Peperoni bestellt. Da wir ausschließlich Gerichte aus der Mittagskarte gewählt hatten, waren uns die "etwas" kleineren Portionen bewusst und diese sind nicht Gegenstand unserer Kritik. Bereits nach wenigen Minuten wurden der Beilagensalat und die Peperoni serviert. Der Salat fiel extrem klein aus und bestand lediglich aus etwas grünem Salat mit einzelnen Streifen Karotte und einem Klecks Cocktailsauce. Die gegrillten Peperoni waren sehr ölig und geschmacklich wenig überzeugend. Das sogenannte „Pfännchen“ wurde in einer Schale serviert, die außen bereits kalt war. Es bestand aus zwei Fleischscheiben in einer rosafarbenen Soße. Sowohl die Konsistenz als auch der Geschmack wirkten recht wässrig und insgesamt eher fad. Das Hühnerbrustfilet war zudem mit einer Ananas belegt und mit Käse überbacken. Diese Zubereitungsart entsprach nicht der Beschreibung auf der Speisekarte. Insgesamt entsprach das Essen leider nicht unseren Erwartungen. Angesichts der Bewertungen hatten wir auf eine positive Überraschung gehofft, wurden jedoch enttäuscht. Dank der guten Atmosphäre gibt es immerhin noch einen Stern.

Ein charmantes, familiengeführtes Restaurant. Die Einrichtung ist schlicht, aber das Essen war hervorragend und die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Ich würde jederzeit wieder hingehen. Die Dolmades waren ausgezeichnet.

Wir waren mit der ganzen Familie im Restaurant und mussten 15 min warten bis unsere Bestellung aufgenommen wurde. Dan hatten sie vieles nicht was auf dem Menü stand. Anschließende kam nach 50 min das Essen und es war nicht das beste . Die Preise waren sehr hoch und dafür die Portionen klein . Des Weiteren waren die Produkte sehr wahrscheinlich aus dem Supermarkt gekauft. Nur die Kellnerin war sehr nett und höflich .

Das Essen ist recht typisch, aber für die gebotene Menge zu teuer. Im Restaurant roch es nach ranzigem Fett. Die Speisekarte ist viel zu umfangreich und unübersichtlich.

Es ist köstlich und die Preise sind angemessen. Wenn ich wieder in der Gegend bin, werde ich auf jeden Fall vorbeischauen.

Das Essen war sehr gut. Leider kam das Essen sehr verzettelt. Die Gemüsebeilage kam als wir mit dem Essen fertig waren. Um den Kaffe und die Nachspeise zu bestellen warteten wir seeeehr lange. Um diese zu bekommen noch einmal mindestens 25 Minuten. Leider nur 1 Person für Getränkeausgabe und Service. Sehr schade.

The service was very friendly but inattentive. The food tasted okay, but didn't really impress us. The portions were rather small for a Greek restaurant. The restaurant is in need of renovation in many areas. We felt it wasn't good value for money.

We got served really quick. However, we ordered a dry bottle of wine and got a different half-dry that was still corked. The ration was okay as well as the food - but nothing special. We liked the interior but the bathrooms urgently need some repairs AND proper service.

It's unfortunate. You say it's open and then you find it closed. It's very easy to put the hours so that customers can find you. It's disrespectful.

We were looking forward to some good Greek food. Unfortunately, we didn't pay attention to the previous reviews. The food was bland and unimaginative, the meat dry and tough, and in my opinion, it also smelled disgusting. I'm sorry. We definitely cannot recommend it.

Friendly and helpful staff. Gluten-free dishes are generally marked on the menu; however, it's advisable to double-check how they've been prepared gluten-free. Overall, a positive impression.

The food was surprisingly good and the ouzo was fantastic.

I am very sorry to inform you that your restaurant does not convey Greek hospitality at all. The food arrived far too quickly, and the glasses were meant to be a substitute for it. The Greek cuisine urgently needs improvement. It simply lacks finesse. The presentation of the dishes is uninspired and almost cold. It also tastes very bland and unseasoned. I find the customer service lacking. When guests are present, you should be attentive. The menu layout and design need improvement. It doesn't appeal to me. I will not be returning. No tip is necessary. Here are some suggestions to help your restaurant do better in the future.

The food was very good. Typical Greek food.

Constantly changing staff, the waitress, who was actually the cook, apparently doesn't speak German... well, what can I say? The food was OK, but way too expensive, as were the drinks, ridiculously expensive. When I asked the waitress, who is normally the cook: Where is the boss and his wife, she just said: 'I only speak Greek, no German, why do you serve in a restaurant in Germany and can't speak German...' shaking my head... That used to be good, but now it's just a copy.

We always enjoy coming back! The food is delicious and the service is friendly, attentive, and courteous.

We arrived at the restaurant around 6 p.m. and hadn't reserved in advance, so we were seated right away. There were other tables available. The menu arrived quickly, and then we had to wait a good 20 minutes for our order to be taken. The drinks took a short time, but arrived promptly. Then the time passed... after 25 minutes, we got a salad (see photo)... and then after another 25 minutes, the food. It's insane to make customers wait so long when the place isn't full. The food came out for everyone at the same time, and we were asked if we wanted an uzo. That could have been done sooner to shorten the wait a bit. Unfortunately, the food wasn't really seasoned, and my garlic potatoes were just one potato at most. We also ordered gyros with rice and tzatziki, and that lacked the kick. Conclusion: We wouldn't stop again and were disappointed.

Excellent variety and quality of Greek dishes, we returned several times

We arrived at 6 p.m., along with a few other guests, of course. Our drinks were ordered quickly and brought promptly. We ordered an appetizer, which was served within a reasonable time (not too fast, not too slow), so we could arrive in peace. Due to the number of people arriving at the same time, we had to wait a little longer for the main course, but that was perfectly fine; we weren't rushing around. The main courses were very good: breaded baby calamari with fries, a schnitzel for a small child, a baked gyro that was very tasty and filling, and a grilled plate with liver, bifteki, and pork steak. All the meats were very good. Ordering more drinks during the meal was also no problem. Before we even talked about the bill, we were given a delicious ouzo on the house. Children are also welcome and enjoyed the aquarium and, thanks to the napkins, will probably soon learn Greek 😀. The children were also given a lollipop as a farewell treat. What can we say? Other than thank you so much for letting us be there, we'll be back! We can't think of anything else. The prices are within the normal range, and you don't have to worry about having to do the dishes. We were very satisfied all around!

I had reserved a table for my 60th birthday. And when I called to register two more people, they suddenly said they were on vacation during that time. No cancellation from the business. If I hadn't called, we would have been standing at the door with the whole team. In my opinion, this was simply bad service. We won't be booking another table.

We were here for lunch today and received a very friendly and warm welcome. The food was excellent and the prices are very reasonable too. We can only recommend letting yourself be pampered here.

The food was okay, but nothing special. The restaurant was cool and somewhat uncomfortably dark. Besides, I've rarely been to a Greek restaurant that didn't at least include ouzo with the bill.

Quiet place away from the tourist chaos... food... almost Greek :) ... with a little more presentation they would earn a star. The walnut and honey dessert is excellent.

Unfortunately, the outside is rather shabby. The outdoor area (if you can call it that) is also rather poor. The inside is very lovingly decorated. A lovely ambiance. You're in Greece. The service is polite, but not particularly fast. Especially when several tables are occupied, the wait time increases dramatically. The food is delicious. We had gyros, bifteki, fries, and a gratinated dish. It's truly delicious, and the portion size is perfect. It seems rather small at first, but it was just right for us. You could even indulge in dessert here 😀 The only drawback: the appetizer salad! It was uninspiring and lacking in imagination. Coleslaw and a green salad. This was by far the smallest and most meager appetizer salad we've ever eaten.

We ate here twice during our short break and didn't regret it. Super friendly and attentive staff, delicious food, and fantastic service. I highly recommend it!

We ate there on April 15, 2025. Great, delicious Greek food. Gyros was really delicious. We had to wait a little longer and our drinks were forgotten. But the waiter apologized very friendly and was very accommodating afterwards. I think he just had his head somewhere else that day, but we're all human. :) Restaurant is located on a great stream. Due to the friendly nature of the waiter and the above-average delicious food, we can fully recommend the restaurant.

Service made an effort. Tomato sauce was not good for the children. The Metaxxa sauce was practically unseasoned. Not acceptable for the price. Card payment didn't work, even though I asked beforehand. There was no toilet paper, even though the restaurant had just opened.

Twice this week we went to have dinner when their hours are listed as being open, but no one was there. Starting to believe this isn't a real restaurant.

From me personally, I can't recommend this restaurant. We're not particularly picky, but the meat shouldn't be the sole of a shoe and you can't really go wrong with an omelette, but I thought we'd be taught better.

A superb restaurant, located in an area of ​​Germany where you can really say that the food is delicious thanks to the soothing and gorgeous mountain landscape and everything seems to be taken from a movie. Unfortunately the restaurant was a bit impersonal and it was also cold. But what annoyed us even more was that even though there wasn't much going on, we had to wait 20 minutes before we could place our order. Unfortunately there were no drinks until then and we had to wait another hour for our food! So we waited almost 1.5 hours for the food to come. The dishes we ordered were a small compensation; we enjoyed them very much. So if you want to eat here, you should bring your time!

Waiting an hour for the food wasn't as bad as the food itself: the salad was a sour joke, the fries were almost cold and after another 5 minutes later the fillet pan (one was ordered)... a sweet white soup with fried meat in it (a far cry from pork fillet). Ahh, and the ouzo was included in the main menu, not intended as a digestive... Personally, I don't recommend this restaurant... What a shame!!

The food was very good. We were warmly welcomed and felt very comfortable. A real highlight was the dessert: round ekmek kataifi!!! Definitely try it!!

I actually just wanted to grab something to eat, but Taverna Stefanos blew me away. Homemade food, huge portions, friendly people – and to top it all off, there was not just one, but three ouzo on the house! Not paid a cent for it, just pure Greek hospitality.

Very good Greek. We had the Athens plate (bifteki, gyros and turkey steak) with the potato and garlic slices. The side dish was something different, very crispy... But just crushing the garlic and then adding it on top was too violent (these blobs are terror cells 😂). Somehow the garlic was missing in the tzatziki. I only recommend the ouzo served there to people who love the pure hard alcohol taste followed by the aniseed leg... Very nice service. Drink prices are cheap, food prices are more upper middle class. However, due to the ever-increasing additional costs, it is still within limits. In any case, you can eat well there.

Very friendly and bright atmosphere… very courteous service, friendly and kind. A wonderful home-baked bread with a large-pored and juicy crumb. The dolmadakia delicately seasoned with an unobtrusive dip... very tasty. Bifteki (homemade minced meat) fried to perfection, with a nice bränding, perfectly seasoned and wonderfully juicy. The Ouzo is the……for really good friends!!! We won't be there for the last time!

Not recommended because the service was busy even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. The salad was a joke and the meat was tougher than the sole of a shoe. For us the worst Greek we've ever been to. However, the restaurant was very nicely constructed and designed. Really cozy

The taste was ok but the portions are more than generous... a herculean plate of fries for just under €25 is by no means worth its name! Waiting time was bridged with ouzo...

We were there shortly after the restaurant opened. It was positive that our girls (over 12) were able to order the children's menu. We had a plate for 2 and 2 children's plates. The plate for 2 included Metaxa sauce. Once we ordered extra Metaxa sauce for the children's meal. The first sauce came quite quickly and we shared it, but we were a bit surprised at the taste! When the second sauce came, it tasted good and better than the other one. While clearing away, we mentioned it in the basement. His statement the first sauce was from the day before and just warmed up! Sorry, it's garnished. Once and never again.

Not even in Greece did I eat so tasty, simply delicious, absolutely everything! High level service, very kind staff! We will definitely be back!

Absolutely NOT recommended!!!!!!!!!!!! First of all, they are not Greek... For this reason, these people have no idea about Greek cuisine. Dear Stefanos Tavern, we do Moldovan cuisine and please let the Greeks do our Greek cuisine. Spices and appearance as well as the traditional preparation of the dishes are missing!!! Service below all cannon... zero consideration for the guest. "I went to the counter 4 times to order something or something similar. No proper explanation for the food, the portion was far too large and prepared without love. I could stick with it but I've already put in enough time to write. I'm Greek myself and was on holiday with my family on New Year's Eve and after eating German four times in Schonach, Triberg and Schonwald I actually wanted to finish off with something local and was there for the first time. But this tavern... it's a shame, please don't go there, it's not original Greek cuisine... but the look is nice, I liked it, I have to say. But everything else, Sorry... P.S. I have never felt as bad as a guest as I did on New Year's Eve 2024. We left and we weren't even noticed, let alone said goodbye or something similar. We just wanted to celebrate something, nothing more. Happy New Year to everyone.

I am absolutely convinced of this Greek restaurant. The service is always very friendly and extremely polite. The food I ordered was always good and never took too long, even when the restaurant was full. All in all, this is a very nice restaurant with very good cuisine and the friendliest service. I wish the business good customers and all the best for a long time:

Food was tasty, but it took quite a long time to arrive even though the restaurant was relatively empty. I ordered a pan with bifteki and various meat. The pan came full to the brim with sauce, bifteki and meat were cut into small pieces, you probably don't see how little there is, maybe there were leftover pieces of meat, you don't know. The omelette with champions we ordered was delivered as an omelette with feta cheese. However, no omelette with champions could be delivered because there were no more eggs in the kitchen. I absolutely cannot recommend this Greek restaurant. In any case, we don't come here anymore.
