Real Swabian cuisine with a wide range of options on the menu. Very fast and friendly service. But you should definitely reserve it in good time, we were there on Tuesday evening and it was full to the last seat. There are enough parking spaces behind the house.

Today on December 25th, 2024 I was a guest at the Res Adler in Sickenhause for the first time and what can I say, my expectations were more than satisfied. First of all, it is important to know that an early reservation is absolutely necessary. It's almost impossible to get a table if you're lucky and spontaneous! Even today, on the holiday, the rest was fully booked as expected and yet the food came to the table in just an incredibly few minutes. This can only work if the kitchen team and the processes are perfectly coordinated and organized! There were around 40 guests in our part of the restaurant and they also got their food as quickly as we did. Based on stories and reviews, we all decided on the onion roast and that was absolutely a very good decision! The Rostbtaten certainly had over 300g to 350g and was tender as butter and perfectly cooked. The sauce is very tasty and the spaetzle is soft but not mushy but rather fluffy and absolutely delicious. The salad that came with it was also very tasty and everything was absolutely fresh. Since the portions were described as large, we didn't have a starter or soup and that was a good thing. We would have liked to try a desert, but we really couldn't fit any more. Despite the full restaurant, the service was very fast and very friendly. There is also a perfectly coordinated team at work here that knows how to serve a large number of guests in an organized manner. I think that the good organization and routine of the restaurant comes from the large number of bus passengers who visit the restaurant. The prices for food and drinks are absolutely moderate to cheap for what you get. I and my companions are of the opinion that Der Adler is one of the top addresses for Swabian cuisine in the surrounding area.

I have usually been very satisfied, but this time I was very disappointed. The food was cold and the goose was dry. For the high price of 25€, something like that shouldn't happen. There's nothing more to say.

If you want to eat really good Swabian, this is the right place for you! Especially the onion roast roast - a poem! But also all other dishes, you can't go wrong. We didn't stay overnight, so I can't write anything about the hotel's operation.

Celebrated my birthday with 18 people ordered according to the menu and everyone could eat together. The portions are large, but you can take the rest with you. All guests were highly satisfied and the service was top 👍 I will come here again on my next visits. Many thanks to the entire team. I recently had dinner here with an important customer and saw nothing but enthusiastic faces afterwards. Today we ate with the family, just excellent Swabian cuisine, children's meals at a fair price.

The food (2 pork loins with spaetzle and mushroom sauce) was great, the side salad was sumptuous. TOP price-performance ratio. Pork loin 16.40 Side salad 6.20 Bitter Lemon 0.3 3.00 Espresso 3.20 The espresso isn't exactly cheap, but the taste is harmonious and, unlike many that I've tried, it's finally hot/warm until you finish it. The waitress managed to find a seat even though it was almost full. The food came quickly. Highly recommended. Food pickups are also possible. The motion sensor on the men's towel dispenser didn't work, maybe we could take a look there. Or I was incompetent. Still a rare good rating of 5.0.

We come here very often. Very friendly family-run country inn. Special requests are accepted without any problems and it simply tastes like grandma's. The best Swabian restaurant in the Reutlingen area.

I think the price-performance ratio of the food is not justified. It's very expensive. The taste of the food is ok but it doesn't have a star category but the prices are. The drinks are all non-carbonated. Sorry, but Cola, Spezi and the like simply don't taste good without carbonation. There is also no ventilation, air conditioning or anything similar. It's just too warm in summer.

Were recently invited to a birthday party with 10 people. The schnitzel was just too thick for a normal schnitzel and the breading was reminiscent of toasty. Fries were, well, a bit soggy. Croquettes and the other side dishes don't satisfy us either. The drinks had almost no carbonation. Apple spritzer and blackcurrant spritzer only tasted like syrup. The price-performance ratio is simply not right here. Finally you can say: Not recommended.

Schnitzel with fries doesn't taste as you would imagine. With its breading, it is reminiscent of a toasty. It will be significantly better in any other sports center. The drinks were uncarbonated and tasted like death. Apple spritzer and blackcurrant spritzer only taste like syrup. The price is above and the quality is so good.

We can only rave! Both the employees and the chefs enjoy working here and really let the guests feel it! We were sooo very satisfied and every dish fills you up (whether it's a starter/recommendation of the day/main course/large salad)!!!! Just great! Thank you very much and see you soon

The restaurant offers excellent home-style cuisine. Quality, taste and presentation are good, the staff is friendly. The premises are clean and spacious, unfortunately the outdoor dining area is currently not open due to a lack of staff. The price level of the dishes on offer is high, but seems appropriate given the quality and quantity.

We had a spontaneous meal there last night. It was quite full and we managed to get a spot with a prior reservation. It is definitely recommended to make a reservation. The staff is very attentive and also friendly. We waited maybe 20 minutes for our food, despite it being busy. The only thing that actually bothered me was the volume. Unfortunately we had to sit in a room where it was a birthday or something. It was really loud and it was almost impossible to have a conversation at the table. For me that was the only point of criticism. The entrance consists of stairs, so it's not really suitable for wheelchairs. The parking spaces are also a bit tight for my taste. If you have a large car, you will have difficulty getting in and out or you should park with enough distance if possible 🙂 The food itself was delicious, lots of it and at a fair price. The prices on the menu are of course a little higher, but you really get very large portions for your money. The quality is also top. And the waiting time yesterday was more than appropriate. We will definitely go there again.

Super leckeres Essen. Sehr große Portionen ich empfehle eine kleine portion. Hinter dem hotel gibt es sehr viele Parkplätze. Wir kommen wieder.

Von ehemals 4 Sternen nur noch 2 Sterne. Portionen sind groß und das Essen ist lecker, aber ca. 4 Euro Aufschlag für das Schnitzel und 5 Euro für den Rostbraten seit Dezember sind einfach too much. Das hat auch nix mehr mit Mehrwertsteuer zu tun. Irgendwo muss man auch die Kirche im Dorf lassen, vor allem sind die Rohstoffpreise wieder gesunken.

Ich persönlich finde diese hotel sehr schön mit rustikalen Zimmer sehr heimisch darüber hinaus ein Spitzen Restaurant im Haus und wirklich leckeres Essen😁👍👌sehr empfehlenswert Preis Leistung passt soweit auch👍🧐

Wir waren zum Geburtstagsfeier eingeladen und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Super Service, freundlich und flott. Ordentliche Portionen und sehr lecker. Wir hatten nichts zu bemängeln und kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren zum Geburtstagsessen mit 6 Leuten dort. Es war köstlich und die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Zu den Zimmern in Hotel kann ich nichts sagen.

Sehr gutes und reichliches essen. Service sehr höflich und Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet. Ich würde sogar mehr Sterne geben.

Wir haben hier unsere Weihnachtsfeier mit einem leckeren Essen verbracht. Wie auch in den letzten Jahren, war das Essen ein absolutes Erlebnis für Freunde der Schwäbischen Hausmannskost, aber auf einem gehobenen Level. Man sollte echt guten Hunger mitbringen, den die Portionen sind wirklich nicht zu verachten. Ich hatte einen Zwiebelrostbraten, der locker 400g hatte, dazu Hausgemachte Spätzle und einen wirklich üppigen Salatteller und das ganze für 28€. Das Fleisch war ein echter Genuss. Butter zart und auf den Punkt medium gebraten. Die Spätzle waren sehr lecker und der Salat war genauso ein Gedicht. Der Service war schnell und zuvorkommend und in Anbetracht dessen, dass das Lokal sehr voll war, ging es doch recht schnell.

Freundliches Personal und richtig gutes Essen. Einzigster Wermutstropfen, ich habe Pommes statt Spätzle bestellt dafür 50Ct mehr berechnet. In der heutigen Zeit verstehe ich das nicht. Aber sonst nur Daumen hoch. Kann ich wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Waren nach längerer Zeit mal wieder mit Freunden hier zum Mittagessen, nachdem wir früher dort schon Konfirmationen und runde Geburtstage der Eltern gefeiert hatten. Leider war das chinesische Essen einer unserer Bekannten stark "verbrannt", so dass sie es zurückgehen lassen musste, was auch anstandslos und mit Entschuldigung seitens der Bedienung ging. Daher auch "nur" 4 Sterne. Die anderen Essen waren von den Portionen reichlich und ok.

Das Essen im Adler ist sehr gut. Gehobene Küche mit großen Portionen. Familie Schäfer kann nicht nur schwäbische Küche sondern ist auch mit dem einen oder anderen Gericht international unterwegs. Weiter so.

Unfassbar gutes Essen in großen Portionen. Dazu ein sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Absolut nichts zu bemängeln. Ich rolle mich jetzt nach Hause.

Muy buen servicio, raciones abundantes y muy muy rico todo. Salones amplios, cómodo y sobre todo muy tranquilo, muy buen ambiente....es un restaurante que sin duda merece la pena conocer por muchos motivos. Muy buena carne, muy buen cocinado, postres muy ricos y caseros.

Da ich beim Essen dort war, kann ich über die Zimmer nichts sagen. Das Essen jedenfalls war sehr gut und der Service sehr angenehm und aufmerksam. Dass dies heute seinen Preis hat ist halt so. Da kann der Betreiber des Restaurants nichts dafür.

Wir hatten dort schon mehrmals Kartoffelsalat für private Feierlichkeiten bestellt, da dieser - schwäbische Version, selbstgemacht ist und hervorragend schmeckt. Das Restaurant hat eine vielfältige Speisekarte, die angebotenen Gerichte sind schön garniert und die Portionen sehr groß. Das Schnitzel hat dort durchgehend eine Stärke von über einen cm. Woanders macht man da gerne zwei daraus. Auch der Zwiebelrostbraten hat hier über drei cm Stärke und ist reich mit Zwiebeln garniert. Die Zwiebeln sind für meinen Geschmack einen Ticken zu sehr geröstet, haben daher weniger mit "geschmälzt" zu tun. Das ist aber Gemackssache. Die Beilagensalate sind großzügig und nett dekoriert. Die aufgerufenen Preise, etwas höher als anderswo, sind auf Grund der Portionsgröße und der Speisenqualität jedoch mehr als gerechtfertigt.

Es ist ein Erlebnis hier zu sein und diese köstlichen und mit Liebe zubereiteten Gerichte zu essen. Hier werden wann immer möglich Produkte aus der näheren Umgebung verwendet und das schmeckt und sieht man. Der Service ist sehr gut und zuvorkommend und insbesondere auch ältere Gäste werden hier wertgeschätzt, was leider nur allzu selten anzutreffen ist.

Wir haben kurz entschlossen dieses Restaurant aufgesucht, eine kurzer Anruf genügte. Eine Vorbestellung ist sinnvoll, man bekommt aber auch meist kurzfristig einen Tisch. Der Gasthof ist einfach aber geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Stühle sind bequem und die Tische sind in einem ausreichenden Abstand platziert. Als Vorspeise wählte ich die Zwiebelsuppe. Eine sehr gute Wahl, ich habe selten eine so leckere Suppe gegessen, eine echte Empfehlung. Anschließend wurde Zanderfiliet auf Butternudeln serviert. Die Portion bestand aus zwei Zanderfilets und war für mich eine gute Portionsgröße. Die Filets waren saftig und die Haut kross gebraten. Das Mischgemüse war ebenfalls sehr lecker. Für Menschen, die gerne Fisch essen, eine echte Empfehlung. Wir haben uns im Restaurant sehr wohl gefühlt, die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und schnell. Die Küche ist deutsch (schwäbisch), die Portionen sind groß bis sehr groß, aber man kann sich das Essen einpacken lassen. Das Restaurant hat ausreichend Parkplätze vor der Tür. Insgesamt eine eindeutige Empfehlung.

Wir waren schon mehrmals im Adler und kommen immer wieder gerne. Service ist gut, man wird schnell und freundlich bedient. Ambiente ist gemütlich, eher schlicht. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, große Auswahl, deftig-schwäbisch. Die Portionen sind wirklich sehr groß - selbst normal sehr hungrige Esser sind danach echt satt und platt. Besonders zu empfehlen: Zwiebelrostbraten. Abends sollte man reservieren, besonders in der Vorweihnachtszeit.
