What should we think of a restaurant that, instead of addressing my mediocre review below, has a lawyer sue it for defamation? Therefore, I'm giving it 2 stars instead of the previous 3. "The food is okay, but not really good for the prices. The service is "odd," to say the least. We went there 3 times, and each time, when paying, we were only given the total amount without seeing a bill beforehand. That's completely unacceptable. Last time, we explicitly addressed this. The young waiter went to the manager, who was sitting at the bar, and spoke to her, at which she laughed. So much for that... In the summer, we were sitting in the blazing sun and asked if we could move to another table in the shade. The answer: "That doesn't make sense, this one will be in the sun in a few minutes too." When we left an hour later, we were in the blazing sun until the very end, while the other table was still in the shade..."

We went there for dinner with 13 people. The food and service were top-notch. I've rarely experienced such good service. And the food was also excellent.

I was there before the SSV Reutlingen home game and had a delicious currywurst with fries. Plenty of outdoor seating. Inside, the restaurant is very modern and nicely decorated. The young waiter was quick and relaxed. I enjoyed it.

The bottled wines are a bit pricey, but veeeery tasty 😋😋 If you value high quality and regional ingredients and are looking for some very good, home-style cooking, this is the place for you. I ordered a pepper steak, and I got three thin pieces of meat. I couldn't detect any pepper. The sauce was good, but the container containing the fries was sitting on the plate, right in the middle of the sauce. Impossible.

We visited the restaurant for the second time because the first visit was extremely positive! Initially, we were once again very impressed by the place. The food was fantastic. It was fresh and tasted incredibly good! The schnitzel I ordered was truly outstanding. The fries were crispy and delicious. My companion also enjoyed it immensely. Therefore: we'll be back! On top of that: the service was perfect! I highly recommend this restaurant!

We recently went to Becks for dinner several times within a few weeks. The ambiance and decor are upscale yet modern, with a very chic interior. At first glance, Becks also impresses with its quiet and beautiful location next to the sports fields. There are plenty of parking spaces directly in front. Reservations are recommended for the indoor area; there are numerous tables available outside on the spacious terrace, so you can usually get a table right away. The wait staff are quite young (presumably students) – always engaging and friendly, but also somewhat inexperienced, and the occasional mistake slips in. The wait times were okay. The selection of drinks is extensive, with a separate wine list. The menu, on the other hand, is manageable; there's a good selection but not a particularly large number of dishes – especially not for vegetarians/vegans. The drinks and food we ordered were good to very good – be it the pot roast, the burger, or the white wine. A bit overpriced, but you can have a nice evening at Becks. Therefore, highly recommended.

A very tastefully decorated restaurant with a large beer garden. The service was excellent last night. I had a salad with Maultaschen strips, which was very tasty. However, the salad consisted mostly of green lettuce, a small portion of carrot, cabbage and potato salad with a tomato, and two slices of cucumber. It cost €20. The value for money isn't right here. We were surprised why so few tables were occupied...perhaps the prices are one reason for that.

Great atmosphere, the food was actually very tasty but when blood comes out of turkey and I had to complain three times that's just not acceptable, as compensation I got a free salad.

I don't know what everyone loves so much about this restaurant. The ambiance is certainly very nice. But that's about it! I was there today, and the staff was incredibly unfriendly, not a single smile on their faces. After ordering another drink three times without success, I had to go to the bar... a complete disaster. The food was okay. After many chances, this was the last time! It hasn't been the first time. The owner should think about the value for money!

Dear owner, you really have a great location including a terrace. The ambience is great. However, there is a HUGE drawback: The service staff is "always trying" - but absolutely overwhelmed with a half-full guest house / terrace (there is a young lady - who simply can't get over her snail's pace). Definitely a shame for your location - because it unfortunately failed after numerous visits. Good luck in the future

I was here for a large business dinner and had a mediocre experience. First, I'd like to highlight the decor and ambiance. The restaurant is modern and stylishly decorated – I really liked that. Let's move on to the food. As a vegetarian, I'm reviewing this from a meat-free perspective, and from that perspective, the food selection is disappointing. Unfortunately, it's a major red flag that a fish dish appears on the menu under "vegetarian dishes." Because no, fish is not vegetarian, even though some people claim it is. I recommend reading the V-Label classifications regarding vegetarian and vegan dishes. Beyond that, there were only two vegan main courses. I opted for the curry. Here, too, it was unfortunately noticeable that there was no real culinary appreciation for vegetarian and vegan dishes. A cold, yellow curry sauce was served over the rice. The vegetables, in turn, were served on top of the rice in a kind of teriyaki sauce. Curry and teriyaki – two sauces are too much of a good thing. I would have served the vegetables in the curry sauce and served it hot. Or left it out altogether if the focus was on teriyaki. To be fair, though, I have to add that all the meat-eaters in the group were satisfied with their food. The drinks selection is also great, with a large, excellent wine list. The service was fine, although the rather inexperienced waiter forgot several requests, which we had to remind them of. Overall, I unfortunately can't recommend the restaurant from a vegetarian perspective, but I probably can from a meat-eaters perspective.

We arrived at 4:30 p.m. on a Sunday and the kitchen was still closed (open from 5 p.m.). This was pointed out to us in a very friendly and constructive manner. We were able to bridge the waiting time with a cake. For the main course we had the burger and pork fillet - both excellent and the price and quantity are appropriate for the quality. Only the scoop of ice cream for dessert was plain. For 2.80 we would have thought a biscuit or some mint would have been great. The dishes were extremely pretty. In any case, you have to emphasize the ambience and the very attentive service. We didn't expect that from a "stadium restaurant". We'll be back.

Actually quite nice there. We registered there with a group of 17 people and only received a small selection of the menu and to our surprise there were no prices on it. When we investigated we were helped and we knew what to expect. Prices are already high. Portions are mediocre, in my opinion. Still very tasty. Maybe I'll go there for a wine in the summer... but not again with dinner.

At birthday parties, customers charge €3.50 per table cover if they want to bring their own cake. We thought okay, then we'll just order a piece of cake there. When it came to dessert, we wanted to order cake. Feedback from the waitress, unfortunately we don't have any cake left. Sorry, but if you have to set such conditions, you should have enough on site because we all know that a birthday also includes cake!☺️ It was at 6 p.m. Unfortunately, the menu has also become very small with very little choice compared to previous years. Food was good, but portions were very small for the price.

We stayed here between the years and had a great evening! The food was an exciting mix of traditional dishes prepared in a modern way. The service employees were simply great. The only downside was that the wine could not be decanted as there are no carafes for it. We would love to come back.

Review for the restaurant Becks am Markwasen The Becks am Markwasen restaurant offers a pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. Unfortunately, our visit was accompanied by a few weaknesses that spoiled the overall impression. The taste of the food was okay, but the portions were a bit small. Particularly disappointing was the onion roast, which was served well-done on the first try, even though I had ordered it differently. After my complaint, it took another 15 minutes for the corrected order to be brought. During this time, my companion had already finished their meal, which affected the meal together.

Hello Beck's team. The last visit was in the summer of '24. Were soooo excited. Finally a modern restaurant with a great ambience. Great friendly and courteous team, value for money, expensive but very good. People are happy to pay more for high quality. Now, changing the map. The staff said that many guests missed the previous dishes. Price performance ratio, unfortunately thumbs down. The Pfefferle (fillet steak including fries and side salad €33) Today the fillet steak with mini potato gratin and 4 mini sticks of root vegetables €35. Fillet steak and gratin the size of a pork loin…….disappointing. My wife's salad was €22 with a dressing that was incredibly sour. That was our last visit. Because of this, I will have my upcoming business lunch canceled. Really a shame......

We celebrated our wedding at Becks Reutlingen. The organization and advice was handled by Ms. Beck. We were allowed to use the entire restaurant area for our number of people. The ambience is simply wonderful and creates a great atmosphere. There was enough space for our decoration ideas and the supporting program. The staff was incredibly attentive, kind and always available if there were any questions or requests. The food was to die for and every guest raved about the variety and quality of the dishes. From the first meeting, Ms. Beck made it clear to us that the work here was professional and that we should just look forward to the day and the guests. She kept her promise because the wedding went smoothly and was an incredible success, from the organization to the support and execution. We are still completely thrilled four weeks later and will of course be happy to visit Becks again and again in private.

Unfortunately, our visit to Becks was a disappointment. As soon as we entered, we were brought to our table by a fully tattooed, extremely unfriendly woman whose snooty and impudent behavior was completely inappropriate for the otherwise beautiful ambience. It seemed like this woman was in charge that evening, and what we saw was shocking: she treated her colleagues terribly, which made the whole atmosphere even more unpleasant. The lack of competence of the staff was evident throughout the evening. Questions were answered with annoyance, and the food tasted like cheap fast food – definitely not worth the high price. The rest of the staff were equally unfriendly and unable to give us proper advice. Despite the appealing atmosphere, I will definitely never visit Becks again.

Very good daily meal, professional service, overall very good value for money

We were there for coffee and cake in the afternoon, unfortunately the service employee was not motivated to inform me about the cake selection despite repeated requests. For every question I asked, I got a "I don't know, we don't have it, I can't see it from here". I would like to thank his competent colleague, who tried hard and kindly answered my simple request for a choice of cake.

Very good and well-kept gastronomy. A nice atmosphere. But the biggest thing is that the food tastes excellent and is delicious. The food is also beautifully presented to the eye. You can sit outside in the countryside in a mostly quiet location. I am definitely of the opinion that the price-performance ratio is right here and simply recommended.

Had a very nice evening at Becks! Usually pleasantly full during the week, very nice waitress, the only drawback although the restaurant was not full there was only a terrace menu for outside with less food on the menu, therefore significantly less choice. Ambiance, food and drinks were very good. We've been there a few times, this time for the first time on the terrace. It was very positive that there was less than a 10 minute wait for the food. I'd love to come back, but I'd probably prefer to eat in the restaurant, but the terrace is still very good for a leisurely afternoon without a lot of food.

First the positive. The food was good and the atmosphere was really great. Only the service was rather slow in February 2024. Waiting over 20 minutes for drinks and over 80 minutes for food is just too long. In August 2024, everything changed for the better. The service was quick and very pleasant.

Yesterday we had dinner at Becks with our two children. The food itself was delicious and the rooms (terrace, interior) were very nice and stylish. But there is a lot of room for improvement when it comes to operation... or not. Of the 3 drinks we ordered, 2 were wrong. We complained about the first drink and the correct drink was brought to us straight away. We then noticed that the water in the carafe was sparkling water, even though we had ordered still water, and so we complained a second time about the correct drink. When the waitress brought us the correct carafe, we thanked her and received a very dry, clearly dishonest “very gladly” in response. From the waitress's facial expressions, you could clearly see that she was pissed. This kind of behavior is simply not acceptable. Later we saw another waitress at the bar stirring a wheat beer with a spoon because the beer no longer had any foam. Incomprehensible. We probably won't come back. These two events were enough for us. We also waited quite a long time for food and our toddlers were even served after us. Conclusion: Food good (but not exceptional), prices okay, service not good at all, location very nice.

We go there often but the service is usually very poor. It's just smart and there's hardly anything in Reutlingen anyway. Today I ate something. I waited forever for food even though there wasn't much going on. The brie was almost cold and unfortunately salty. 3 caramelized walnuts which are tasty but not enough. Three blueberries, two small dry slices of bread that tasted more like yesterday and a hair on the cucumber were generous. For 16 euros that's really steep. Unfortunately we won't be coming anymore. Unfortunately, at 31 degrees, drinks were hardly cooled and there was no ice cube. When we asked about cake (which is always delicious) we were told we would ask, but received no response throughout the evening. Very unfortunate.

Nice atmosphere, unfortunately I can't really judge the food because I only ate a cake there. But this was excellent, very tasty and also looked really appealing. Service was friendly but could be improved. We were a group of 6 and asked for the drink menus and the waitress brought us a single menu to the table. We knew how to help ourselves and simply got a few more cards. Maybe just make sure you bring a few more cards.

Very modern furnishings, the food is good and the location at the stadium is something. There is a nice, large terrace, although the weather was never good for us. The service isn't quite as charming either, but OK. I don't remember prices exactly. It feels like it's not for those on a budget, but it's not excessive for the quality of food, the location and the ambience.

A restaurant that made a neat impression on me. Since it was busy around 2 p.m., I'm assuming it's very popular. The service is busy, attentive and friendly. My Wiener Schnitzel tasted a bit like the frying fat, but it was very generous. The prices are reasonable and I would go there again, but without having too high expectations when it comes to the food. The location is actually perfect for visitors to the surrounding sports facilities. There is only limited parking directly at the house, but there are plenty of parking spaces opposite, very close by.

Picking up the chip card for the toilet at the counter is annoying. In addition, some cards didn't work, so you sometimes had to go back to the counter several times. If there is an urgent need or for older people, this arrangement is not the best solution. The chip for exiting the parking lot was no longer available and the employees did not come, so exiting was not possible. Thanks to friendly guests who were able to get a chip, we were still able to drive out of the parking lot.

Unfortunately I have to agree with the previous comments regarding the long waiting time. We felt like we had been forgotten. At some point I was served my main course, the hand-shaped bread dumplings in a mushroom cream sauce, and asked if I had already had the side salad that should have been there beforehand. I said no and got this a few minutes later. When my food was cold, my husband's sausage salad finally arrived. The bread dumplings in mushroom sauce were really tasty and are recommended, but unfortunately the salad didn't taste like anything and my husband's sausage salad was okay. We were really at a loss for words about the service and we are not demanding guests at all. You also understand the stress on a busy day. But the waitress was simply unfriendly and impossible. No smile, no kind word, she didn't even look at me when I was ordering or serving or when cashing out, the tip really hurt in this case. You really can't take a bad mood out on your guests. In addition, the waitress bumped into my husband four times as he walked past because she repeatedly turned too close - she was limping and was obviously a little unsteady when walking. Anything can happen, even if it shouldn't, but the outrageous thing was that she didn't apologize once. And when she was cashing out, she was harried and hectic, knocked things over on the table and didn't apologize either. The ambience is fantastic and really something special, it's a shame that it didn't quite fit in with the rest.
