We've eaten here several times as a family and also with our club in a larger group. We've been very satisfied every time. The dishes are delicious, with finely balanced spices, and the meat is also good, I was told. I've only tried vegetarian dishes so far, and they've all been excellent. The service is good and always friendly; if it's busy, it can take a little longer, but everything is within reason. We highly recommend the restaurant.

If you’re reading this review—beware: this place is highly addictive!😫 I came here once, thought I’d just “try it out,” and now I’m basically part of the furniture. The food is that good. Every bite feels like a personal love letter from the chef to my taste buds. The curries? Magical. The naan? Basically a blanket of happiness. The spices? Perfect balance of “wow” and “how did they do that?” I keep telling myself, “okay, this is the last time for this week,” and then… surprise, I’m back again. Honestly, I think they put some kind of delicious spell in their recipes. So yeah, don’t blame me if you come here once and suddenly can’t stop either. I was a guest at Kurkuma in Reutlingen on September 14, 2025. The restaurant was very quiet, which surprised me a bit. My impression: The overall appearance is dated and could use a serious facelift. The food, however, was truly excellent – ​​tasty, top-notch, and beautifully presented. The service, however, left a lot to be desired. When paying, we wanted to pay by card, but were asked if we could pay in cash – a complete no-go for us. Furthermore, the waitress seemed as if she was just getting ready to finish work. They didn't ask if we wanted to order anything else, such as dessert, and overall, the friendliness and attentiveness were lacking. Conclusion: Highly recommended from a culinary perspective, but the service and ambience urgently need to improve to realize the restaurant's potential.

We ordered a menu for two people and were thrilled! A third person could easily have been fed! Everything was delicious, but the mango cream for dessert was a dream! The value for money is fantastic!

We stayed here in a hotel for a whole weekend and decided to eat at the Kurkuma restaurant on our first evening. It was so excellent that we ate there again on Friday and Saturday evenings. There was such a wide selection of delicious dishes; it was really good every time. The service is very friendly and attentive, the portions are generous, and the prices are really fair. I've always enjoyed Indian food, but I haven't had anything as good as this in any other Indian restaurant.

I came here today to eat, I really liked the food here, the staff here was very friendly, the atmosphere of the restaurant was very familiar, I recommend this restaurant to everyone, you should definitely visit here once.

Food taste was okayish, nothing special, but service was not good, especially for us. Irony is that we being Indians, at an Indian restaurant, and felt that there was soft racism, we did not feel welcome. Will never visit again. Felt like the owner/ staff were biased and gave better service and attention to others (non-indians), even though we ordered proper starters, main course, drinks and dessert.

Favorite Indian restaurant anywhere. This is the gold standard. The only thing I would change is adding less sugar and removing the food coloring from the lassis.

We've eaten at Kurkuma several times, and we've enjoyed the food every time. You can park anywhere nearby, and the location next to the train station is well-connected. The outdoor area next to the bus station isn't particularly nice, but you can sit there fairly quietly. Even without a reservation, we found a seat every time. Friendly service is standard, wait times are reasonable, the ambiance and decor are authentic, there's an extensive selection, the portion sizes are decent, and the food tastes very good. The price/performance ratio is also reasonable. Overall, Kurkuma is highly recommended and worth a visit.

Had chicken briyani, chicken nilgiri gravy, garlic naan and rose-cardamom lassi. Everything tasted great! Portions of each dish were good enough for one person. I loved the ambience in particular!

The menu is very extensive; almost all dishes are available in a vegetarian version (paneer or vegetable). Unfortunately, the vegetable version had so much vegetables that there was hardly any sauce. The vegetables weren't really my favorite and were rather hard (peas, green beans, cauliflower, frozen carrots, zucchini), but that's a matter of taste. The sauce for the chicken dish was extremely tasty and spicy, and the naan is also recommended. Service was friendly. What could be improved is the cleanliness of the restrooms. They were extremely dirty and unhygienic, even though we were there quite early at lunchtime.

Good Indian restaurant in Reutlingen with a large selection of dishes and fair prices - recommendation. The menu features typical Indian dishes, especially curries. There are various curries to choose from as a sauce/base, to which you can then choose the appropriate content (vegetables, cheese, vegetarian balls, meat). I think this “modular principle” is really nice. There is also a large selection of other dishes, with a lot of vegan and vegetarian options. I liked that. I ordered Dal & Spinach, yellow lentils with spinach, to take away. The preparation took about 15 minutes and I was able to sit down in the restaurant while I waited. The dish tasted great, very balanced seasoning and not too much fat. The portion size was also great. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also cozy, you can certainly spend a good time here on site. The service was also very friendly. Overall, I really enjoyed the food and had a good impression of the restaurant, so I can highly recommend the Kurkuma Restaurant in Reutlingen if you're in the mood for Indian food.

Food taste was amazing and good quantity for the price. Kulfi could be better, wasn’t creamy, had lot of ice bits in it. Dal was fine. Good ambience too. One particular guy, probably manager (only he was wearing white shirt and rest of staff had black attire) was very rude, inattentive, especially towards us. He really spoiled the whole experience for us.

If you're really hungry, you'll find big plates here. Indian dishes are served lavishly and taste incredibly good. We had ordered menu 1: mixed appetizer plate, chicken tikka, lamb korma with rice and at the end something like ice cream. Mango lassi to drink too. Very tasty, but the atmosphere is also very nice. The restaurant is excellent and the prices for the curries are excellent for the quality and quantity of the dishes. Without question the best Indian in Reutlingen. Even if it's full, you start your meal quite quickly.

They really have the best banana curry here. Even if you can't tolerate spicy food, you can find many delicious alternatives here. Definitely worth a visit!

It was our first time at Turmeric and everything was just right. From the welcome, advice on the level of spiciness, and the food was accordingly spicy and very tasty. The friendly, attentive staff is particularly noteworthy. All in all, a very successful evening in Turmeric. We will come back.

One in advance. These reviews reflect my feelings and my taste. Be sure to form your own opinion, because tastes vary enormously, especially when it comes to Indian food. 😉 Unfortunately for me the turmeric was a mistake. As soon as we were greeted we were told that without a reservation the table would only be available for 1 hour. Well, I thought to myself, it'll have to do and maybe it's fully booked, but the fact that every guest who came to the restaurant without a reservation was told one by one left me disappointed. Why do you have to spoil the evening for a guest with a statement like that!?! Well, it is what it is. Then the food can definitely convince you. Unfortunately not either. The “Maharaja Tandoori Chicken” couldn’t be more tasteless. It was missing all spices and although it was covered with some kind of sauce, it didn't taste like anything. This could be followed by the naan bread that is served with the dishes. Only the tandoori sauce, which is also served with it, did its best. Conclusion: Even for spontaneous visits, reserve a table, take cash with you (payment in advance is not accepted!) and hope for a dish in which you haven't forgotten the spices.

I come here every time I visit Reutlingen. Nice and fast service, I like the food and the gin and tonics. If there are several of you, order the Garlic Bread with the three sauces. One is very spicy, the others are fresh or sweet.
