Excellent value for money. Breakfast wasn't included, but the owner kindly provided us with a kettle. The room was basic but clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The location is fantastic, and booking was completely straightforward. We'll definitely stay there again next time we're in the area.

A restored restaurant with mostly home-style cooking. We first visited here in 1997, and in the past, more often for food and drinks (fresh draft beer). These days, we visit less frequently, usually with visitors from neighboring countries. The quality and quantity of the food can only be partially attributed to the respective owners, as they have changed frequently. It's also difficult to write a truthful and unbiased review if you're a neighbor or even a co-owner of the restaurant! Therefore, I'll provide some historical background here instead. The history of this inn has been and remains very varied and dates back to 1871. That's when Wilhelm Vorwerk (1843-1930) founded a pub on the neighboring property to the west. This building was built on its current site in 1911. The founder of the first restaurant at this new location was Heinrich Vorwerk (1917-1986). He adopted the nickname "Zum Müden" (The Tired), which had been bestowed upon him, as the name for the restaurant. In modern times, Gerold Wagner was the tenant here from May 1997 to 2019. A couple (Rico +?) took over the restaurant from him, with Gerold initially providing advice and support. Just under two years later, they were replaced by a restaurateur from Oldesloe. A good two years ago, the well-known local building contractor and cafe owner M. Inselmann from Wintermoor took over the restaurant, which had been vacant for some time. In June 2024, his former chef, Shiv Ram Scherma, from India, took over the business as sole proprietor. The property is leased by a real estate company: “Zum Müden GbR” with seven personally liable partners.

Very rich, good food at fair prices

Great food, the best steak and schnitzel you can get in the area. The vegetables are perfect, the fried potatoes are crispy – as they should be. The salads are generous. Everything is freshly prepared, so I'm happy to wait, even when it's busy. The service is friendly and fits the country. The price/quality ratio is very good.

We had dinner here on a Friday. The price/performance ratio was good. There were only a few tables occupied. The food was exceptionally good, but it took way too long to arrive; even the coffee at the end seemed to take forever. There's clearly a lack of staff.

Rarely eaten so deliciously... The fried potatoes are always fresh and on point, the cordon bleu is a dream. The steak is also on point and recommended. If you want to eat really tasty food, you can't go wrong here.

Went there for New Year's Eve celebrations with friends. Buffet at 6:00 p.m., music and dancing from 9:30 p.m. - as advertised (actually at a fair price). Unfortunately, most of what was available at the buffet wasn't excellent. Goulash soup, slightly above room temperature. The rest of the food was OK, but nothing more. Service was very nice and quick. There is hardly any atmosphere for the occasion. Two lonely paper streamers and a colorful table runner are not enough. At 10:15 p.m., in response to our expression of displeasure, music was finally turned on - unfortunately completely inappropriate techno remixes from older international artists (Rihanna, for example). The lighting wasn't adjusted either. Unfortunately, no one seems to have bothered to create any kind of suitable playlist. At 10:45 p.m. (mind you: (music and dancing from 9:30 p.m.) employees and guests brought out furniture together to create a kind of dance floor. By then the mood of my group was already so low that we went home unnerved.

Three of us went there for dinner. The service was super friendly and fast. Drinks arrived promptly. Our order: 1 Wiener Schnitzel with grilled vegetables 1 Cordon Bleu with paprika sauce and croquettes 1 Cordon Bleu with paprika sauce and fried potatoes 2 glasses of wine, 1 wheat beer, and a small Coke The food was first-class and beautifully presented. The taste was excellent and everything was piping hot. The schnitzel was very tender and delicious. The paprika sauce was superb, and the portions were perfect. We paid €65.10 including drinks, which I consider very reasonable (almost too cheap) given the quality. We will definitely be back. Of course, this is just a personal experience, so go and try it out. I can't comment on the rooms or other facilities.

Wollten schnell was essen.Wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und super bedient. Die Speisen waren frisch zubereitet. Das Auge ißt mit und genauso war es. Kochen und Service lag in einer Hand. Aufgrund vom allgemeinen Personalmangel lag bei unserem eintreffen alles in der Hand des Eigentümers. Aber - sehr gute Bratkartoffeln, schmeckendes Schnitzel und ausgezeichneter gut abgeschmeckter Salat. Alles in kürzester Zeit - also, sehr zu empfehlen. Birgit und Ingolf aus Neumünster.

They still exist, the inns where you can eat well at reasonable prices. The Landgasthaus Wesseloh is clearly one of them and therefore stands out from its competitors in the region around and in the nature reserve. The Viennese-style schnitzel, fried in butter and not deep-fried, for €16.00, of sufficient size and quality, with plenty of side dishes, is clearly differentiated by the price. You pay twice as much in neighboring restaurants. The Heidjer plate with fried potatoes is probably the dish that makes every Heidjer happy, but also guests from Hamburg or Hanover. Because there was nothing objectionable about this dish either. All the ingredients were prepared very tasty and of good quality and were also served in a very friendly manner. Today we will stop at the Landgasthof Wesseloh again and look forward to a down-to-earth, honest, tasty dinner. If you have hiked through the beautiful area around Schneverdingen, are hungry and want to satisfy your hunger at affordable prices, you should stop by the country inn in Wesseloh.

We visited there for the second time because we had such positive memories. We weren't disappointed this time either. Friendly service, delicious food, and a lovely atmosphere.

Recommended for traditional meat dishes! A typical German village mug with its ambience. But when it comes to other dishes it is not suitable. The vegetable curry was similar to a frozen mixture and the sandwiches weren't worth it either. The service was nice but not particularly good.

Es ist einfach nur empfehlenswert. Zu den Zimmern kann ich nichts sagen, die haben wir nicht gebraucht.

Eines der geilsten Kneipen / Restaurants in denen ich jemals gegessen habe. Wer das Ambiente vom Dorf liebt und auch auf Schnacken steht und hut bürgerliche Küche, der ist hier genau richtig. Große Portionen und super Geschmack. Preis/Leistung TOP. Ein absoluter Geheimtipp.

Ein super Landgasthaus. Das Gasthaus liegt zwar etwas außerhalb von Schneverdingen, mitten im Wald. Ist aber eine Fahrt wert, wenn man in der Gegend ist. Hier werden die Zutaten für das Essen noch selber angebaut. Das Haus hat eine mega gute Küche und sehr nettes Personal. Nur zu empfehlen

Im Zimmer kein Kühlschrank, dreckiger Teppichboden ! Der Balkon völlig dreckig und versift, Laub vom letzten Herbst , voller Mülleimer , der Tisch und die Bestuhlung haben sicher die letzten Jahre keine Reinigung erhalten. Unzumutbar , wir haben den Urlaub abgebrochen.

Das ist ein schöner Landgasthof mit leckeren Gerichten nach deutscher Hausmannskost!!! Der alte Teil ist noch traditionell im alten Stil gehalten und es gibt einen größeren neueren Teil der modern und lichtdurchflutet ist, und auch sehr schön ist und sich auch für größere Veranstaltungen eignet!!

Eine schönes uriges Gasthaus in Mitten der Lüneburger Heide. Die Speisen sind von hoher Qualität und Geschmack. Man merkt, dass alles frisch zubereitet wird und von hoher Qualität ist. Das junge Team hat alles im Griff , man fühlt sich wirklich willkommen. Kommen gerne wieder um die

Gutes Essen in uriger Atmosphäre. Gerne werde ich hier wieder hingehen. Ich hatte aus der Karte einen Burger, den ich jederzeit wieder nehmen würde. Aber auch die anderen Gerichte sahen sehr gut aus.

4 Übernachtungen und kein Zimmerservice, weder im Bad noch im Schlafzimmer, das Frühstück nach dem 1.Tag abgemeldet. Das Gasthaus ist wohl erst neu übernommen worden. Unter LANDGASTHAUS stelle ich mir Anderes vor. Trotzdem viel Glück beim Verbessern.

Wir waren mit der Familie unserer Tochter da. Alle von uns bestellten Essen hatten TK-Charakter. Es hat uns nicht geschmeckt und wir werden nicht mehr wiederkommen.
