Lahngenuss in Gießen

We drove from Buchholz to Gießen 5 days ago for our friend Hermann's 70th birthday. It was a nice celebration, the food was great, the service was very friendly and super nice

Food was very tasty. You can eat on the Lahn watch the boats.

We celebrated our wedding at Lahngenuss and Erwin, Nicole and the whole team made it a wonderful day! All guests were not only impressed by the food, but also by the incredibly attentive service! From the first contact we felt we were in great hands with all planning issues and coordination, everything went smoothly and to our complete satisfaction! The price-performance ratio cannot be topped - with a special level of warmth from the Lahngenuss crew! The champagne reception on the terrace and the celebration in the hall were perfect and made it our dream wedding. We'll be back, not just for more celebrations! :)

Just right for a warm summer evening on the terrace. First-class food (we had fresh cod), friendly service and a very nice view of the water. The mashed potatoes with herbs is a poem!😋

Our wedding in Lahngenuss: lasting memories of a beautiful celebration in the best atmosphere. At the beginning of 2023 we decided to celebrate our wedding with around 50 guests in May 2024 with Nicole and Erwin at Lahngenuss and would choose Lahngenuss again and again. Location and accessibility: The Lahngenuss is centrally located and is easily accessible from all directions, both by public transport and by car. There are plenty of parking spaces and cozy overnight accommodations such as the Altes Eishaus are within walking distance or easy to reach by minicar. The location directly on the picturesque Lahn with access via the terrace is simply fantastic in spring temperatures. A celebration with charm and elegance The room used for the celebration offers enough space for over 60 guests, a spacious dance floor with a DJ booth, an entertaining photo box, a tempting candy bar as well as games and gift tables. The atmosphere at dusk in the evening and mild temperatures will remain in your memory. Eat: At the owner-managed Lahngenuss, every guest is cooked and served with a great deal of passion, as can be seen in the numerous 5-star reviews. The cuisine is consistently excellent and offers dishes ranging from down-to-earth to upscale dishes - always of the highest quality, but never out of the ordinary. Service and support With Erwin and Nicole's many years of experience, we felt like we were in good hands right from the start and throughout the entire celebration. Our guests praised the courteous service, the delicious food and the rooms we decorated. Conclusion: For us the ideal location for a wedding celebration. We would choose to host our wedding reception at Lahngenuss again at any time.

We were there with a larger group. The food is really, really, really good and fresh. The waitress (the nice man) always has a little joke and is super friendly. We'll definitely come back more often. I will recommend this. That is the impression of our entire group. Keep it up

Great restaurant for lovers of hearty cuisine and always very friendly and courteous service staff. The menu is varied but not too extensive, which explains, among other things, the good quality of the food, and also offers dishes for vegetarians. The best place to sit is in the rustic main room. The hall also offers plenty of space, even for large celebrations, but it is just not quite as comfortable. The goose meal is particularly recommended. We've been coming here for several years now and the taste of the goose, dumplings, red cabbage and sauce is always on point!! Very very tasty and plentiful. Early reservation is essential.

Eine vielseitige Speisekarte. Sehr geschmackvoll und reichlich. Frisch zubereitet. Brunch zu den Festtagen wunderbar. Gans und Ente sind top zubereitet. Zu Recht der Name Lahngenuss.

Toll organisierte Feier. Das Essen war super und auch das Personal sehr freundlich. Wir kommen gerne auch mal alleine wieder hin. Von Hier kann man auch Kanutouren starten.

Meine Schwester feierte ihre Hochzeit im Lahngenuss und es war die perfekte Location für diesen Abend! Der Saal hat eine schöne Größe und einen direkten Zugang zur großen Außenterrasse (mit Blick über die Lahn). Das Essen war super & der Service war 1A. Das Team des Lahngenuss ist super unkompliziert und hat den Abend perfekt gemacht. Vielen Dank dafür! Seine Hochzeit dort zu feiern kann man absolut empfehlen!

Netter und zuvorkommend Service. Keine langen Wartezeiten. Leckeres Essen, war schon oft da und bin nie enttäuscht worden. Viele saisonale Aktionen wie Grillen, Spargelesssen, Gänseessen usw. Offene Küche, man kann sehen wie gearbeitet wird.

Gute deutsche Küche Wer gute deutsche Küche sucht ist hier genau richtig. Die Terrasse lädt zum Verweilen und der Blick auf die Lahn ist wunderschön. Der Service ist spitzenmäßig und immer freundlich. Ich komme immer wieder gerne hier her, da auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt. Mein Lieblingsgericht: Hackbraten Fazit: ich bleib euch treu❤️🫶👍🏻

Hier muss man gar nicht erst viel schreiben, die Bedienungen super lieb und zuvorkommend und das Essen war einfach mega lecker!! Das ganze wird abgerundet mit einem schönen Ambiente und schönen Blick auf die Lahn! Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis stimmt!

Wir hatten einen schönen Abend mit Kollegen, der Service war gut und sehr Aufmerksam. Das Essen war, Preis Leistungsmäßig, sehr gut. Die Terasse läd bei schönem Wetter zum verweilen ein, was wir auch taten... Rundum ein schöner Abend, Ich/wir werden wiederkommen.

Wir haben nichts zu kritisieren, Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Es wird super gekocht und es schmeckt jedes mal mmmmhhh. Die Saucen z.B. sind nicht wie bei einigen Gaststätren für alle Gerichte gleich, nee....alle super auf das jeweilige Produkt abgestimmt. Die Desserts und die Salate ein Genuss. Fleisch, Fisch und Geflügel klasse gegart.......Qualität bekommt man hier. Das Weihnachtsbuffet war Spitze, danke Nicole und Erwin und Eurem Team

Wir wurden mehrmals weggeschickt, die Küche hatte keine Lust mehr. Wirklich enttäuschend. Uns wurde geraten immer vorher anzurufen. Ich fand den Chef ziemlich arrogant. Als wir sagten, einen dritten Besuch würden wir, wenn Sie uns jetzt nochmal wegschicken, nicht mehr erwägen, sagter der Chef: "Um so besser, wir haben eh zu viele Kunden, damit tun Sie uns einen Gefallen." Ganz ehrliche sowas braucht man sich als Gast wirklich nicht anzuhören. Diese Unlust am Service ist wirklich ungenügend.

Hier gibt es leckeren Rostbraten und gute Schnitzel - wenn auch meiner Meinung nach nicht die besten in Gießen. Auf der Terrasse sitzt man schön mit blick auf die Lahn. Das Personal ist freundlich. Fazit: Essen ist solide, nichts besonderes. Preis Leistung ist ok.
